Many times, believers ask God for things and then begin to think about how He will achieve them. In reality, however, our brains cannot understand how God will do the things He wishes to do. For instance, when a man says he has a PhD in Mathematics, it may sound like a big deal, but in truth, he can only be a specialist in an aspect of the subject. If he finds himself among fellow mathematicians, they will begin to ask him questions like, "What is your area of specialisation?" If he says, Applied Maths, they might further ask, What section of Applied Maths?" He might respond, "Fluid Dynamics. They can still ask, "What section of Fluid Dynamics?" The questioning can go on until it becomes evident that his PhD degree is just a little pin-head in Mathematics. It will take you over 1,000 years to know all there is to know about Mathematics. However, God knows all Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, and all other subjects, including those that are yet to be discovered. You simply can't compare your wisdom and knowledge to His. Why, then, do believers try to calculate how He will choose to do something?

When I became the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1981, quite a few people in the church thought that my appointment was rigged. They thought that I used my position as a Mathematics lecturer to manipulate the General Superintendent because he was uneducated. I looked up to God to show the people that I did not manoeuvre my way into becoming the General Overseer and that He chose me Himself. God then began to do something extraordinary. We used to hold monthly seminars for some days, and on the first day of each seminar, a woman would deliver a baby boy in our maternity centre. After several months of this happening, it became clear that it was not coincidental, and those with spiritual understanding among us discerned that it was a sign from God confirming that He had chosen me Himself. l could never have imagined that God would use this as one of the ways to confirm that He had chosen me.
Beloved, when you ask God for something, please don't ever think of how He will do it because it is beyond you. Just ask, obey whatever instructions He gives you, and leave the rest to Him.

Governor Dapo Abiodun Announces the Passing of Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, Awujale of Ijebuland


It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of His Royal Majesty, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, the revered Awujale of Ijebuland. Oba Adetona joined his ancestors today, July 13, 2025 at the age of 91 leaving behind a remarkable legacy that has significantly shaped Ijebuland, Ogun State and Nigeria in general.

It is indeed double sadness that Oba Adetona joined his ancestors the same day that the former President, Muhammadu died in a London, the United Kingdom hospital.

Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona was a remarkable royal father, who ascended the throne in 1960, marking the beginning of a transformative era for Ijebuland. Throughout his reign, he was a beacon of unity, cultural preservation, and progressive development. His dedication to the welfare of his people was evident in his efforts to foster educational advancements, healthcare improvements, and economic growth within the state and Nigeria.

Under his guidance, Ijebuland witnessed remarkable strides in infrastructure and community development, establishing itself as a model of progress in Ogun State. His leadership not only enhanced the cultural heritage of Ijebuland with the Ojude Oba festival attaining international standards but also solidified its reputation as a thriving hub of commerce and tradition.

As we mourn his passing, let us celebrate the extraordinary life of Oba Adetona and honour his contributions to our country. His wisdom, kindness, and unwavering commitment to the betterment of his people will forever be etched in our hearts.

APC GOVERNORS URGE FG TO EXPAND INVESTMENTS IN KEY ECONOMIC SECTORS

— Reaffirm support for President Tinubu

- Governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC), under the aegis of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), have called on the Federal Government to intensify ongoing economic recovery efforts by expanding investments in key sectors of the economy.

- This call was made on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the conclusion of the Forum’s first regional meeting held in Benin City, Edo State. The meeting also featured the formal welcome of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, to the Forum.

- The governors emphasized the need to further democratize the gains of current economic growth through strategic investments in food security, job creation, poverty alleviation, MSME development, and social safety nets.

- Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, who read the communiqué on behalf of his colleagues, welcomed the increase in fiscal transfers to states and the growing investor confidence in Nigeria’s economic outlook. He pledged that the Forum would sustain this momentum by delivering infrastructure that enhances productivity and drives inter-state competitiveness.

- The Forum also commended Nigeria’s security agencies for their continued efforts in tackling criminality and safeguarding national sovereignty. It extended condolences to families affected by insecurity, especially in Benue and Niger States.

Brethren, there are reasons for curses.
The Bible clearly states that curse causeless shall not come, which means there must be a reason for a curse to be placed on individuals, families, communities and Nations.
Behind every curse there is a cause.
To every affliction in a man's life, there is a root; and when the root is discovered and rooted out, then comes refreshment.

He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.
Ecl 8:10.
For a curse to be in operation, it is either, you break the hedge or your parents break the hedge for the curse to show up in your life.

A curse is little different from a spell, a spell is cast from the region of the occult, from witchcraft, from satanic altar, you don't need to offend anybody, as long they don't want you to be blessed, they will just cast a spell to punish you or to frustrate your destiny.
But for every curse there must be a cause.

*FOR EXAMPLES*

1. Adam suffer a curse because he disobey God by eating the fruit of the tree in the midst of the garden. Gen 3:17

2. There was famine in the days of David, year to year because Saul killed the Gibeonites. Israel had sworn in the name of the Lord to keep them alive but Saul break the oath of the Lord by killing them and it's resulted to a curse on the entire Nation of Israel, year to year famine was prevailing, David have to go and appeal to the Gibeonites for the curse to be removed 2 Samuel 21:1-3.

*WHAT TO DO.*

1. Since there is no smoke without fire, if you want the smoke to stop, look for the fire and put it off. The same with a curse, you need to find the cause. Who did you offend? Who did your parents offend?

2. When you find the the reason why you or your family members are under a curse (who you offended) then go and apologise, ask for forgiveness, make restitution where necessary.

3. Go to a deliverance minister to break the curse or go to God in prayers on curse breaking deliverance prayers.
