TOPIC: MENTAL SLAVERY – THE WORST KIND OF SLAVERY

SCRIPTURE: And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger. EXODUS 16:3.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Whatever you see coming will come.
The study of medicine confirms that one of the secrets of good treatment is a good diagnosis. Good therapeutics are predicated on good diagnosis, because a health challenge you cannot diagnose, you cannot treat.
Most people do not know what their problems are. And when you don’t understand the problem, you will never be able to find the solution.
I was baffled by the story of the children of Israel. A people that God brought out from Egypt after 430 years of bondage. They suffered untold hardship in slavery before their liberation came. On their way from the land of slavery to the Land of Promise, they murmured at every little thing. And it looked to me like they were not free.
God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and delivered them from bondage through mighty miracles, signs and wonders.

But even though they were now physically free and out of Egypt, the land of captivity, they were mentally bound in captivity, so they perished on their way to the Promised Land.
Beloved, it is one thing to come out of captivity, but it is another thing to get into destiny. It is one thing to come out of Egypt, but it is another thing to enter the Land of Canaan. The generation that came out of Egypt could not enter Canaan because of their unbelief and slavish mentality, except Joshua and Caleb who believed the Word of God.
There is a form of captivity that is worse than physical captivity. There is something worse than the oppressive hold of witches and wizards, and that is mental slavery and captivity. The worst kind of slavery or captivity on earth is mental slavery.
They came out of Egypt, but Egypt did not come out of them. A person can be physically free, but if he is mentally enslaved, nobody, including God, can help him. So, a great majority of people are blaming the devil for nothing; their real problem is mental slavery.

Let me give you one symptom of mental bondage or slavery. It is called bondage consciousness. When a person is mentally bound, he is bondage conscious.
There are people in many churches today who believe the devil is trying to attack them whenever they have a little dream. There are people who run from church to church, prophet to prophet for deliverance until there is no more place to go or prophet to run to. They can never imagine freedom. It is too real for them to believe that for one full year the devil did not pursue or attack them.
Beloved, believe in the finished work of Christ for you. Renew your mind with the Word of God so you can stay victorious.
Whatever you see coming will come. So, see yourself in liberty, success, peace, good health, prosperity and abundance.
Remember this: Whatever you see coming will come.

    ASSIGNMENT(S):
    1. Renew your mind daily with the Word of God.
    2. Refuse to think about what you do not desire.
    3. Reject every form of captivity mentality around you.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your finished work at Calvary. I refuse to tolerate any form of captivity around me. I was freed at Calvary and remain free, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

    DAILY BIBLE READING: Ecclesiastes 9-11

QUOTE: When your altitude changes, your perspective will definitely change. Culled from the book, Riding the Storms of Life by Dr Paul Enenche.
AMAZING FACT: Beetroot is known for its blood pressure-lowering effects due to its high nitrate content. PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Every grip of mental captivity be broken by the power of the Spirit in Jesus Name.

  • *BREAKING: Changes from the 2025 JAMB Policy Meeting — Everything You Need to Know!*

The 2025 JAMB Policy Meeting has delivered some massive updates for students, parents, and education stakeholders in Nigeria. From changes in admission deadlines to a shift in how scores are evaluated — here’s the full breakdown.
If you’re aiming for university admission this year, read this carefully — your chances may depend on it!
*JAMB Is Now All About Ranking — Not Just Score*
Prof. Oloyede, the JAMB Registrar, confirmed:
“JAMB is not an achievement test; it is a ranking exam.”
That means your admission chances don’t just depend on how well you scored — but how your score compares to other candidates.
All JAMB result slips will now include:
    Your actual score
    Your national rank
    Real-Life Examples:
    A student with 370 ranked only 16th
    A student with 200 ranked 533,005th
A score of 140 may land you a rank of over 1.5 million
*Takeaway:* Focus on your ranking, not just the score.

    Approved 2025 Admission Cut-Off Marks:
    Federal/State Universities: 150
    Colleges of Nursing: 140
    Polytechnics: 100

Private Institutions: Deadline is November–December 2025
    Admission Offers Have Expiry Dates!
If JAMB recommends you: The school must accept or reject you within 2 weeks
If the school offers you admission: You must accept/reject within 4 weeks
Delays can cost you your admission.
JAMB Tightens Admission Rules Against “Runs”
Universities must admit at least 90% of candidates on merit before using “connections” (exemption mode).
Merit-first is now policy — and it’s enforced.
Minimum Age for Admission Remains 16
Anyone younger than 16 is not eligible for admission — regardless of their JAMB score.
    Medical Courses Still Most Competitive
Over 570,000 candidates applied for Medical Sciences.
Only about 115,000 can be admitted.
That’s less than 1 in 5 applicants — make sure your backup plans are solid!

  • FROM ACTRESS IYABO OJO: I was invited by The Police over a live video I made few years ago where I said some people should make themselves available for the investigation into Mohbad’s demise. My NGO wrote letters to The Governor, Attorney General of the State, Commissioner of Police etc in which we requested for an investigation into MOH’s de@th and a coroner inquest. I never said any specific person k!lled MOH. Mohbad’s wife, brother and others were also invited by the police. However I can not dictate how the police should conduct their investigations.

It is sad that some individuals have called for my demise, the destruction of my source of livelihood and have incited public v!olence against me and my children. I also received a letter of threat few days to my daughter’s wedding in Tanzania. They now inscribe my name in coffins. Also my opinion in the last elections subjected me to intimidation but I trust God to give me victory. I wish to clarify that I never accused anyone of being responsible for Mohbad’s de@th. I was simply reacting emotionally to disturbing videos that were circulating at the time.

AT BRICS SUMMIT, PRESIDENT TINUBU CALLS FOR REEVALUATION OF GLOBAL GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE, FINANCE AND HEALTH CARE SYSTEMS

President Bola Tinubu has called for a reevaluation of the current global governance structure and the financial and healthcare systems, urging greater equity and inclusion for low-income and emerging economies, particularly in Africa.

At the 17th meeting of the Global South and the Emerging Economies bloc, BRICS, on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the President stated that environmental degradation, the climate crisis, and healthcare inequalities should receive more attention, as they contribute to slowing growth and development.

President Tinubu, invited to the summit by Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, stated that Nigeria supports the BRICS position on the need to focus on collective, fair, and equitable global development.

Nigeria became the ninth partner country of BRICS in January 2025, joining Belarus, Bolivia, Cuba, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Thailand, Uganda, and Uzbekistan. The 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan in October 2024 created the partner-country category.

President Tinubu said, "Nigeria, therefore, associates with what I have heard today and all that has happened in BRICS. The next issues are financial restructuring and reevaluation of the global structure."

He noted that environmental degradation, climate crisis, and global healthcare inequalities were shared concerns pertinent to Africa.

"Africa has contributed the least to global emissions but suffers the most," he added.

President Tinubu emphasised the need for a new path of justice, anchored in fairness, sustainable technology transfer, and accessible financing, so that emerging economies can fully benefit from various initiatives.

"The African continent is creating the path through the African Carbon Market Initiative and the Great Green Wall. We believe that COP-30 will strengthen our resolve to adopt a strategic approach to achieving a healthy global environment.

"Nigeria strongly believes in South-South cooperation. We can, therefore, not be passive participants in global decision-making on financial restructuring, debt forgiveness, climate change, environmental issues, and healthcare.

"We must be the architects of a future that addresses the specific needs and concerns of youths, who represent 70 per cent of our population in Nigeria. Therefore, Nigeria remains guided by our long-term vision, 2050, and nationally determined contribution.

"We are taking bold steps to accelerate renewable energy adoption, mainstream climate action, promote nature-based solutions, strengthen urban resilience, champion South-South cooperation, align with the global renewal framework and achieve universal health coverage for all," the President stated.

President Tinubu also said that addressing non-communicable diseases must remain a collective health concern.

"As we approach COP-30 and look to strengthen the global health system, we believe the BRICS must not only be a bloc for emerging economies but also a beacon for emerging solutions and resolutions rooted in solidarity, self-reliance, sustainability, and shared prosperity of a common future.

"Nigeria reaffirms its commitment to strategic collaboration that translates into sustainable and inclusive development for all," he noted.

Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mr Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance, accompanied the President to the summit.

In exercising its pro tempore presidency of BRICS, the Brazilian government announced Nigeria's formal admission as a partner country on January 17, 2025.

As the world's sixth-most populous country and one of Africa's major economies, Nigeria shares convergent interests with other BRICS members.

Nigeria plays an active role in strengthening South-South cooperation and reforming global governance, which are top priorities during Brazil's current presidency.

Some kids are literally photocopies of their moms — no need for questions, no need for DNA!

Even if the father decides to pull a “That’s not my child” move... it’s okay! I’m like:
“Sharp, hamba masaka! Ngizomkhulisa ngedwa leyo! 💪🏽”

Because let’s be honest — I see his whole face in her anyway. He’s just fighting his own genes!
