  • Indeed, Africa is a Cemetery

We mourn — with the tired familiarity of history, the passing of President Muhammadu Buhari, former leader of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who, true to the legacy of many African heads of state, took his final breath not on African soil, but in a London hospital.

It is a story we know too well.

Once again, a man who presided over a nation with neglected hospitals, underpaid doctors, and decaying infrastructure sought refuge in the former colonial capital when illness struck. He could not trust the healthcare system he supervised for eight years — and who could blame him? Like his peers, he did not invest in it.

In life, Africa was never enough.
Not for his health — that was for London.
Not for his children’s education — that was for the UK.
Not for leisure — that was for Paris and Dubai.
Not for wealth — that was hidden in Zurich.
Not even for development — that was outsourced to foreign corporations.

And now, in death, the same land that was not good enough to live in has suddenly become good enough to be buried in. The Nigerian government has announced that President Buhari will be buried in Daura, Katsina State — a town still waiting for the dividends of the democracy he championed in speeches but neglected in practice.

This is the final irony of African leadership:
    They steal from Africa,
    live abroad,
    treat abroad,
    educate abroad,
    vacation abroad,
but return home only in a coffin.

Indeed, what they refused to build in life — functional hospitals, quality schools, sustainable economies — they cannot escape in death. They are lowered into the earth of a continent they looted, watched over by the people they failed, guarded by institutions they weakened, and praised by sycophants they empowered.

President Buhari, like many before him, missed the opportunity to make Nigeria — and by extension, Africa — livable, dignified, and respected. Instead, he governed with detachment, ruled with distance, and left with his legacy contested and his promises largely unfulfilled.

In the end, he returns home — not to lead, not to fix, not to redeem — but to be buried.

Indeed, Nigeria, and Africa at large, is only good as a burial ground.
The continent that cannot keep her leaders alive now faithfully keeps their remains.

    Indeed, Africa is a Cemetery.

  • "Can Money Buy Love?":

A wealthy businessman bought his daughter everything she desired, thinking it would bring her joy. But despite the luxuries, she felt empty and unfulfilled. One day, a kind neighbor spent quality time with her, listening and sharing stories. The daughter felt a deep connection and happiness.

The businessman realized that love, kindness, and connection, not wealth, brought true fulfillment. He began prioritizing time with his daughter, and their bond grew stronger.

This story suggests that while money can provide comfort, it's the relationships and experiences that truly bring love and happiness.

  • *MORNING TEA*
    *SUNDAY*
    *13TH JULY 2025*

    “*LET GO” OF ALL ANGER*

    *TODAY’S SCRIPTURE*
    EPHESIANS 4:26-27 NIV
““In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.”

    *TODAY’S WORD*
Everyone has anger from time to time, and understanding it and knowing how to handle it properly is important. Anger begins as a feeling and then manifests itself in words and actions.

You feel something, and it causes you to do or say something. Anger is not necessarily always a sin; however, what you choose to do with anger directly determines your quality of life.

All anger has the same effect on your life. It upsets you, causing you to feel pressure. Keeping anger locked inside can even be dangerous to your health. So, you must take responsibility for your anger and learn to deal with it.

As with all emotions, Satan tries to use and abuse our anger and lead us into sin. But we have the power to resist him.

The Bible does not teach that we are never to feel anger. It teaches that when we do get angry, we are not to sin. Rather, we are to manage or control our anger properly.

If you struggle with anger, ask God to help you process it and bring it to closure. You can be bitter or better—the choice is yours!

    *PRAYER FOR TODAY*
Father God, You know everything about me. I come before You with a heavy heart, burdened by anger. I confess that I have allowed anger to consume me, and I ask for Your forgiveness. Grant me the strength to let go of this anger, to forgive those who have wronged me, and to find peace in Your presence. Help me to respond with love and compassion, rather than reacting in anger. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and guide me towards healing and forgiveness, in the name of Jesus. Amen. Nwamama Austino saying happy Sunday

  • Some first year medical students from the University of Mumbai were attending their 1st Anatomy Class. They all gathered around the table with a real dè@d body on it.

The Professor, Krishna, started the class by telling them two important qualities of a DOCTOR. He said, "The 1st is that never be DISGUSTED about anything in the body." For example, he inserted his FINGER in the dead body's ANU$ & put the finger in his mouth & TASTED it.

Then he told the students to do what he did. The students hesitated for several minutes, but eventually, everyone inserted their fingers in the body's ANU$ & tasted it. When everyone finished tasting their fingers, they were all Frowning...

Then the professor looked at them and said: "The most important 2nd Quality is "Observation".

I inserted my MIDDLE finger but tasted the 2nd finger... Now, learn to pay attention

Now, learn to pay attention 🤔😁🤣 CF: first force NB: Always pay attention

  • 278 IN UTME. I CHOSE EDUCATION. AND EVERYONE LOST THEIR MINDS.

"Why would someone so intelligent waste a score like that on Education?"
    "You should be studying Medicine."
    "You deserve better."

    NO.
Education is not a waste. I didn’t deserve “better.” I deserved my DREAM.

And my dream was to TEACH. To build minds. To change lives.
But in Nigeria, when you say you want to teach, people act like you’ve failed, like you're unintelligent

    First semester -12 courses: 11 A’s, 1 B.
Boom. HOD of Physics offered me a department switch and a future job after M.Sc.
I said NO. Not because the offer wasn’t tempting.
But because I knew myself - and I knew I wasn’t called to just chase titles.
I was born to build futures.

    But guess what?

Now, JAMB just released the 2025 UTME cut-off for Colleges of Education: 100.
Let that sink in. NOT AVERAGE! NOT 150! NOT 140!

    ONE HUNDRED.

And we’re out here screaming about “half-baked teachers”?
How won’t they be half-baked when we admit students with 100 marks to train the nation’s future?

You need over 200 to study Law or Medicine…
But just 100 to teach those who will become lawyers and doctors?

    This is madness.

    Let me be blunt:

👉🏽 A country that treats education like a dustbin for rejected students will never rise.
👉🏽 A system where “intelligent” people are told they’re too smart to teach is doomed.
👉🏽 A nation that sets the bar so low for teacher training is signing its own death sentence.

When NECO visited my school and saw 70% of teachers were B.Sc holders, they raised eyebrows.
But any school that’s truly intentional about excellence won’t gamble with teachers’ quality.
We’re raising thinkers, not just filling periods.

Why is this hard to understand?

    TEACHERS are not plan B.
    TEACHERS are the MAIN PLAN.
A country that undervalues its educators has no business dreaming of development.

Stop telling brilliant students that “they deserve better than Education.”
    Make EDUCATION deserve brilliant students.

Until we fix this narrative, we are going nowhere.

278 for Education. And I REGRET NOTHING.

    I didn’t settle.
I CHOSE. And I’m still choosing - every single day.

Share this if you believe Nigeria’s education system needs a reset.

I am Owoade Mariam and I know that the Nigerian education system deserves better.

The WAFCON2025 Opening Game Throws Up Two of Three Fiercest Rivals Going Into The Competition- So I'm Vested In This Game

Nigeria has been ceded in Group B alongside Tunisia Botswana and Algeria and I expect nothing short of nine points going by the quality of opposition and Individual ingenuity of the ladies who are determined to succeed.

Now if we finish top pf Group B, we will
play the quarter-finals with runner up in Group A which has ( Morocco Zambia Senegal or DR Congo )

As predicted, the three teams I will consider as contenders and pose a threat as competitors are Morocco South Africa and Zambia . Those who have carefully followed the women's football will attest except for an upset, these three are those who can really stand up to the Super Falcons of Nigeria as of now.

I don't expect our ladies to finish any in position lesser than top of Group B which most likely sets us up for a Nigeria vs Morocco/Zambia Quarterfinals.

Now, this will be the TRUE LITMUS TEST for the team and proper assessment of their programs enroute WAFCON2025. There won't be anything like closed door matches and the entire Technical Crew will show us proper workings without excuses.

For now, all eyes are on the Opening Game

  • 🎙Reece James' Full Pre-PSG/Club World Cup final Press Conference:

Reece James: "We prepare as if we are playing another game. It's a final, but we prepare every game as if we want to win."

Reece James: "This game is a super high level game. They are one of the hottest teams in the world. But this is a final and one-off game. I've been in many finals before where we've been favourites and haven't come out on top. I don't care [who are the favourites]."

Reece James: "The biggest challenge is the circumstances. The travel, quality of the pitch, the climate is so hot."

Reece James on Enzo Fernandez: "Enzo is an amazing player and person. He's come on so much since he arrived at Chelsea. He's a huge part of Chelsea and huge player for our team. He will play a huge part on Sunday."

Reece James: "I wasn't injured. Let's put that to bed. Talking about our two midfielders, Moi and Enzo, two phenomenal players. They're up there with the best in the world. That will be displayed on Sunday. I wasn't feeling so good in the warm up [vs Palmeiras]. I've come a long way with my history. Would I have played? I probably could have. But if I looked back... I thought it was the best decision to not take unnecessary risks."

Reece James: "If we win on Sunday, we would probably be the best on the day. We're striving to get there [to be the best in Europe and the world]. Whether one game decides that is probably up for you to decide."

Reece James: "Stats, data and who is favourites, it doesn't mean anything to me or the team. It's two great, young sides playing against each other on the biggest stage. I believe we will go toe to toe."

Reece James on Joao Pedro: "Joao is an amazing young player. I've played against him many times. I'm not sure how many knew his quality. He made his first start and scored two goals. His quality has opened a lot of peoples eyes. We're happy to have him."

Reece James: “I’m sure the analyst team we have will be looking at the games where PSG haven’t done so well, and we’ll try and adapt to that”
