  • Unplug, Recharge, Reconnect: Your Brain on a Digital Break.

A German study revealed that just 72 hours of smartphone deprivation significantly alters brain activity in reward-related regions, even without reported mood changes. This suggests frequent smartphone use impacts the brain's reward system.

The study observed neural changes resembling withdrawal patterns from addictive substances, indicating smartphones can be habit-forming. This highlights the potential for "digital detoxes" to positively impact mental well-being in our screen-saturated world.

This research underscores how quickly the brain adapts to smartphone absence, suggesting that periodic breaks could fundamentally rewire our responses to digital stimuli.

How might a regular digital detox improve your overall well-being?

  • You think you love someone, until it’s time to clean up their vomit, help bathe them when they’re sick, and hold them at 2 a.m. while they’re losing their mind and crying their eyes out. You think you love someone, until you’re three months deep into their depressive episode, and they refuse to eat, wake up, shower, be productive, have no sexual appetite, and can’t even show love. You think you love someone, until their “unattractive” side shows up in the early morning hours, the setbacks, the loss of self, the distress, the hopelessness.
You think you love someone? Wait until you’ve seen them at their worst. Right now, you love the rainbow, but true love shows up when the skies turn gray.

  • Good morning my beloved brethren. I trust you are doing great , Praise God!

    TODAY'S WORD OF GOD:

"Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. Psalm 103:13"

Pity and compassion are synonyms and mean a strong feeling of sympathy for someone or something.
God doesn't have pity or compassion on everybody. He only has compassion on those who fear Him; to fear God is to hate evil, love people, and do good (Proverbs 8:13).
Dear beloved, if you want to enjoy the compassion of God, then you need to fear God and depart from all manners of evil.
I urge God's children who are wallowing in all manners of sins because they have taken God for granted to *repent* and turn to God for there's no sin He cannot forgive.
May you never take God for granted so that He can expose you to all of His inheritance and allow you to enjoy every one of them in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! Be blessed!
    Happy weekend. SHALOM!

  • Everybody preaches loyalty until it's inconvenient. Until it costs them something. Until it's time to actually stand for you. Then? They vanish. Silence. Ghosts.
So, stop depending on loyalty from people who fold under pressure.
    Focus on you.
    Bet on you.
    Build for you.
Because when everything falls apart, you're the only one guaranteed to still be standing in your corner.

  • Datti Baba-Ahmed believes VP Shettima is lucky to still be President Tinubu’s deputy as he shouldn’t have been allowed to “last this long”

Former Labour Party vice-presidential candidate Datti Baba-Ahmed has made a series of pointed remarks about Vice President Kashim Shettima, stating that he should not have been allowed to “last this long” as Vice President.

Speaking in an interview on ARISE NEWS on Thursday, Baba-Ahmed, while responding to the insinuations that Shettima’s VP slot is not assured in 2027, said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has tried by keeping him this long.

Though he refrained from going into specifics, Baba-Ahmed suggested that unspoken truths underpin the political rise and continued relevance of Shettima.

  • SEEDS OF DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

    BY DR PST PAUL ENENCHE

    DATE: FRIDAY 4TH JULY, 2025

TOPIC: SURVIVING AND THRIVING IN PERILOUS TIMES

SCRIPTURE: He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalm 91:1)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Word you carry shields you.

There are several indicators confirming the fact that we are living in perilous times. We have seen the multiplication of wickedness in different parts of the world today.

The world is in very dangerous times, but that is not our fear. Our fear is in the Most High. Isaiah 8:13-14 says, Sanctify the Lord of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. So, if there is anything or anyone to fear, let Jehovah be that fear. Verse 14 says, And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. The meaning is, when you fear God instead of the fears around you, He shall be to you a sanctuary of refuge and a stone of stumbling and a rock of offence to those who don’t fear Him.

Now, seeing that we are living in dangerous times, it is important, therefore, to know what it takes to survive and thrive in perilous times.
So, what are the keys to surviving and thriving in perilous times?

    1. Dwelling in God’s Presence (Psalm 91:1). Do all you can, do everything you can to maintain that feelable, palpable, and tangible presence of God. Let God's Presence be feelable around you all the time.

    2. Praying without ceasing (1Thessalonians 5:17). To pray without ceasing means to pray like you breathe because breathing is what you do without ceasing. Pray like your life depends on your prayer life. That was a secret of Paul the Apostle. Everything came against him, but nothing could bury him.

    3. Sensitivity to Divine signals (Romans 8:14). Be spiritually sensitive. For instance, no matter how prepared you are for a journey, if you lose your peace and you don't feel like moving, stay put.

    4. Engaging the power of the Word. The power of the Word is the same as the power of light (Psalm 91:4, John 1:5). The Word you carry shields you. It is revelation from the Word that guarantees your preservation.

    5. Upholding the shield of faith. No matter what you hear or see, don't let your faith be shaky (Ephesians 6:16). Never let any power on earth convince you that you could be the next target for casualty, because it is unto you according to your faith, not according to the situation in the world.

You are preserved, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: The Word you carry shields you.

🍒🌽 SEEDS OF DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE BY DR PST PAUL ENENCHE DATE: FRIDAY 4TH JULY, 2025 TOPIC: SURVIVING AND THRIVING IN PERILOUS TIMES SCRIPTURE: He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalm 91:1) THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Word you carry shields you. • Oh Lord,
Grant me the strength to forgive myself, to accept the depths of Your grace. Illuminate the paths I must walk to seek reconciliation, to offer apologies where they are due. Open my heart to forgive others as You have forgiven me, to release them from the chains I've forged in unforgiveness.

May Your love be the lens through which I view myself and the world around me. Amen.
