David lived a good life as a king of Israel. Knowing that he would soon depart from this earth, he raised Solomon in the fear of the Lord to take his place as king. Dear beloved, the best legacy to leave behind is to raise people around you up in the fear of God to continue your good work. Remember also that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ also left behind good legacies; the best of them were the twelve apostles, who continued His good works and they also left behind good legacies themselves in the souls they won for Christ. As a child of God, always ask yourself, "What legacy am I leaving behind?" (Good or bad)? This will guide you to conduct your life to fulfill your God-given purpose and leave behind a good legacy for posterity. Dear beloved, be self-motivated in the Word of God, and confront anything that wants to scare you; be strong in prayer, and be conscious of the presence of God in you, because He will never fail you nor forsake you. You can accomplish that goal or assignment that seems too difficult; if it is a godly assignment or project, then you have God's support. It is good to be aware that there are good times and evil times; it is our duty to pray for good times and acknowledge them, use them, and thank God when they come. It is also our duty to pray against the evil times and be fully prepared so that when they come, we can endure them, thank God for grace, and continue to praise Him for giving us life. Dearly beloved, what do you do during evil times? Complaining during evil times only make them worse. Remember, all things work together for good to them that love God. 1Thes 5:18. And also, in all things, give thanks to God for that might just be His will concerning you at that time. Romans 8:28. What do you do in good times? do you behave like the foolish rich man described in the bible? Romans 1:16" It is the duty of every believer in Christ Jesus to preach the gospel of our Lord. Apostle Paul is a vivid example of a Christian who was not ashamed of the gospel. He preached the gospel, whether free or in bondage. He was stoned, beaten, shipwrecked, and imprisoned, but he never complained. He boldly declared his faith in our opening scripture. No Christian has any excuse whatsoever for not preaching the gospel; if the apostle Paul could preach in such tough circumstances, then no excuse is too good for Christ Jesus to accept. Dear beloved, are you ashamed to preach the gospel? Do you know anybody who is ashamed to preach the gospel? Jesus Christ said: *For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed.....* Luke 9:26 God Almighty will give us the grace to preach the gospel of Christ Jesus wherever we are in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
