Part 10
They spent the day talking about the future; their expectations and other plans. James took her home when it was getting late.
"Take care of yourself my love". He said fondly.
"I will try. Call me when you get home".
He watched as she retreated into the compound and entered the house before he left. When he got home, he called her and informed her about his safe ride. After talking for almost an hour, the lovers baded each other goodnight.
***
James took her to see his parents the following weekend. They boarded a flight from Ibadan to Abuja where the family residence was.
When they arrived at the Bakare's residence, Serena was awed although she wasn't surprised based on the magnitude of their wealth. Servants approached the duo and helped with the luggage.
"Gosh, I'm so nervous right now. What do I do when I see your parents?". James chuckled and pulled her into an embrace.
"You will be fine, sweetie. I'd be there beside you holding your hands. You have nothing to fear". He assured her.
James led her into the mansion, his hand on her back. He asked for his parents from the workers and was told that they were upstairs.
"Let's wait for them. I'm sure they're having their usual afternoon nap". He wanted to continue but stopped when he heard footsteps. Serena rose to her feet when she sighted James's parents descending the staircase.
"Who do we have here?". His mother said excitedly. James walked up to her and prostrated before his parents.
"Good afternoon Dad and Mom".
"How are you, son?". His father raised him and patted him on the back.
"I've been well, Dad. Trust you're doing great?".
"Yes". His gaze shifted to Serena who quickly went on her knees.
"Good afternoon sir. Good afternoon ma'am".
"My dear, how are you?". Mrs Bakare asked.
"I'm good ma'am. Trust you're doing well ma?".
"I am very good my dear". She looked at James who understood the message being conveyed.
"Dad, Mom, here's Serena Johnson. She's my fiancee". He introduced her.
"Wow! She's very beautiful. You did well, son". Chief Bakare turned to Serena and helped her to her feet.
"You're welcome to the family, Serena".
"Thank you sir. I got you a gift sir and ma". She brought out two packages from her bag and gave them each to the older couple.
"Wow! How did you know my favorite wine?". Chief Bakare grinned.
"Well, it's one of the best quality of wine so I just bought it. I never knew it was your favorite and I'm glad you like it sir".
"This gown is really giving the African vibes. To think that it's from one of my favorite clothing brand". Mrs Bakare said as she checked out the dress.
"It's classy and has good quality. You do have a good taste for quality". Chief Bakare complimented Serena.
"Coming from you sir, I take it as a compliment". She said, smiling nervously.
"I'm sure you both are famished. I already asked the maids to prepare your room so you can go and freshen up". Mrs Bakare said and winked at James.
"Thank you Mom. That's so thoughtful of you". He winked back and led Serena upstairs to the room.
"What do you think?". Chief Bakare faced his wife when they were out of sight.
"They're an excellent match. She looks smart and intelligent. She's also beautiful. I like her already".
"I like her too. I just hope she's not in the relationship for his money. I can't watch my son have another heartbreak".
"Well, I think they're good. He's already proposed to her, I saw the ring on her finger". Mrs Bakare said.
"If you say so. We need to start making preparations then".
After an hour, the young couple came downstairs for lunch. Serena was surprised at the magnitude of food served. There was different kinds of food like jollof rice, spaghetti and drinks. She wondered if there was a feast.
"Princess, feel at home. You can choose any kind of food you want". Mrs Bakare said.
"Thank you Mommy".
The older couple dined on pounded yam and vegetable soup while the young couple feasted on jollof rice.
"How about your parents? When do we get to meet them?". Chief Bakare asked.
"They're doing well sir. Both of them reside at Ikeja. They wanted to know when you would be ready". Serena replied.
"That's fine. James, make sure you see her parents next weekend. We need to start making preparations for your wedding. Just tell us how you want it to be; extravagant, moderate or low-key". Chief Bakare told them.
"Oh Dad, thanks a lot. We'd get back to you soon". James replied.
"Serena, what do you do for a living?". Mrs Bakare asked.
"I work as a lawyer at a private firm".
"Oh, so you're a lawyer?".
"Yes ma'am".
"That's good, princess".
They continued their discussion after lunch. Serena liked their joviality and the bond between the older couple. One look at them and one would see the love in their eyes.
"I wish for the kind of love between your parents. It's so pure. I love that they are happy together". Serena told James when they were alone.
"I would give you more, my princess". He replied.
They went to the garden in the mansion and sat down on a swing, watching the twilight. They remained there till late in the night, watching the twinkling stars in the sky.

Part 9
"What audacity!!! She should be grateful that you granted her audience". Titi spat angrily.
"I feel sorry for her child. She needs to be loved". Serena said sadly.
"Let her mother worry about that! We've got other important things to think about here".
Serena just stared into space, letting her mind wander. She felt sorry for Linda but a part of her gloated at her ordeals. She deserved what she was going through, after all she didn't think twice before stabbing her in the back.
She decided to give Tony a piece of her mind the next time they cross each other's path.
***
Linda walked out of Serena's compound dejectedly. She kept stealing glances at the house, wishing that Serena would call her back.
Her mind wandered to the days when she used to be Serena's best friend. Serena had been there for her through thick and thin. She remembered an incident during their university days.
She had been acting gloomy for days because her parents couldn't afford to pay her tuition fees. When Serena noticed the change in her mood, she asked her what the problem was. Reluctantly, she had narrated her ordeals to Serena.
To her surprise, Serena asked for her account number and sent her money.
"Use it to pay for your tuition". She had said with a sweet smile. Linda remembered how she thanked her profusely for her kind gesture. But at the end, how had she repaid Serena's goodness?
I'm sorry Serena, I don't know what came over me. She cried in her mind while she looked well on the outside.
"Where are you coming from and what are you doing in this estate?".
Linda spun round in shock as she stared back at the angry face of Tony who stood beside his car. She started to stammer incoherently.
"Get into the car now!". He commanded. She followed his orders dumbly and sat in the car, shivering with trepidation. Tony got into the car and drove her home.
When they got home, she alighted and quickly scurried inside her bedroom, clutching her baby close to her. The child as if she sensed her mother's fear, began to cry. Tony tried to open the door but it was locked.
"Linda, open the door now!".
"Please I'm sorry. Tony please don't hurt me!".
"If I break this door open, you would be sorry for yourself!".
Linda kept pleading with Tony but her pleas fell on deaf ears. He broke down the door and lurched at her, a whip in his hands. When Linda tried to scream, he silenced her with a dazzling slap. When he was satisfied, he left her alone where she laid on the floor, writing in pains.
Days later, Linda decided to leave Tony's house. She had had enough of the torture. She packed her things and travelled out of the country after stealing a large amount of money from Tony's account. She already called some of her friends who stayed abroad for help and they were willing to support her.
**
Serena stood outside the apartment, waiting for James arrival. They were going to hang out as usual. When he finally arrived, she found herself running into his arms.
"What took you so long?". She said, pouting her mouth like a child.
"I'm sorry angel, I got trapped in the traffic but I'm here now. Are we good to go?". He asked her with a charming smile.
Before she could reply, she heard someone calling her in the distance. Turning round, she found Tony storming towards them.
"Serena, where's Linda?". He bellowed. Serena looked at him in confusion.
"I don't understand, why would you be asking me about your wife?".
"Don't tell me that trash! Tell me where she is right now".
"You must be out of your mind, Tony". She turned to James. "Please let's leave".
"Where do you think you're going, you this slut?". Serena spun round immediately but was restrained by James.
"Let me handle him". He said. She tried to wriggle free from his hold but he gave her an assuring smile. Reluctantly, she got into the car.
"I think it's time I know you, mister. Who are you?". James inquired.
"Why don't you ask your bed toy?". A punch hit him on the jaw. Before he could retaliate, another hit him in the belly. He fell on his knees in pain and looked up at James who had a dark look on his face.
"Don't ever call her that name again if you love your life". James threatened and got into the car, leaving a wounded Tony behind. Tony spat out blood and cursed Serena and James.
"By the time I lay my hands on you, you will regret coming for my girl!".
***
Serena was quiet all through the ride. James only stopped to purchase roasted plantains and groundnut. When they got to the park, James found a quiet spot where they could sit down.
"Is that the guy you told me about?". He asked her. She nodded in response. He saw that she had been sobbing quietly and drew her into his arms.
"You're not a slut, Serena. You're a decent woman. I think he just wants to hurt you with words since he lost you". He said trying to console her while cursed Tony in his heart for ruining her mood.
"Thank you James". She whispered and rested her head on his chest, eyes closed. James watched as she slept soundly and admired her.
"I want to make you mine. I wish I could tell you how much I still love you. I love you so much that it hurts". He said quietly.
"I love you James".
He looked at her in shock, seeing those lovely eyes stare at him.
"You weren't asleep?".
"No. I actually heard what you said even though you said it so quietly. Now that I'm fully awake, I'm listening". She replied him. James suddenly felt nervous as he felt his heart race.
"Serena, from the days of our youth have I fallen for you. You held a special place in my heart since then. I admire everything about you and now ". He went on one knee and held her hands tenderly. "Will you accept my offer of love? Will you please give me a chance to be your man? Will you marry me?".
Serena had never felt so nervous, not even when Tony proposed to her. Despite her fears, her heart yearned for the love of the man before her.
"Yes I will marry you!".
He swept her off her feet and twirled her round in his arms. When he dropped her, he hugged her so tight.
"Thank you so much Serena. I promise you that I will do all within my capacity and as God helps me, that I will love you the way He wants me to love you".
Serena held his face in her hands. "May God help us to love each other just as Christ loves the church. I promise to be a good companion till death do us apart".

Part 8
"Who sent it?".
"I don't know ma'am. However there's a note that's says it's from James". He replied. Something wasn't right about the delivery man but Titi couldn't pinpoint what it was.
"Alright then. Hand it over". She took the package from him and closed the door behind her. However she watched the man through the door's peephole till he left the compound.
"What's that package?". Serena asked.
"The delivery man said it's from James but somehow I don't believe him". Titi replied, bringing the package to the table and unwrapped it. Then she stood some distance away, afraid it could be a bomb and opened it.
"Flowers and a letter? This has Tony written all over it!!". Serena exclaimed. She took out the letter and read it aloud.
"I know you are making up with that rich kid, James. Just wanted you to know that I'm watching you. Love you".
"This must get to the authorities! For crying out loud, what's all this madness about?". Titi said. Serena pressed her lips together to form a thin line.
"Just a little more patience, I'd deal with him".
**
James came over the next weekend. In his hands was a bouquet of flowers and a package.
"What's this?". Serena asked when he handed it to her.
"Why don't you check it out?". He said smugly. Serena gasped when she untied the package. In it was a sunset yellow gown; from the brand label, she already guessed how expensive it was.
"Oh my God! James, James, this is too much". She said.
"Don't worry Serena. I liked it when I saw it so I decided to get it for you. Do you like it?".
"Like is an understatement! I love it. It's so beautiful". She replied grinning from ear to ear.
"I'm glad you love it". James smiled. She embraced him tightly.
"Thank you for this gift, James. I really appreciate it". She said softly.
"You don't have to thank me, what are friends for?". James replied and tickled her. Serena guffawed while she moved away from him.
They played video games then watched movies on TV. James left early in the evening because of some sudden engagements.
"I'll miss you Serena". He said as he held her hand fondly. Serena had escorted him to his car.
"I will miss you too".
"Take care of yourself and don't hesitate to reach out to me if there's any problem". He told her.
"I will. Don't worry about me too much".
She watched him as he drove off and she felt sad. She was already having feelings for him.
"Missing him already?".
Serena spun round to see Tony standing some distance from her. So he was stalking her?
"What are you doing here?".
Tony walked up to her and reached for her chins but she slapped off his hand.
"Can't I touch your chins again?". He asked with a mischievous smile on his face.
"You haven't answered my questions yet Anthony!". Serena's eyes blazed angrily.
"Calm it baby, I just came to check up on my girl". He replied. Furious, Serena dealt him a slap.
"What?!". He stared at her in horror. "You slapped me?".
"I regretted not doing that earlier. What guts do you have to come to my home and harass me? How dare you stalk me, huh? Can't you talk?". Serena yelled.
"It's fine. You can yell for all I care but I want you to know one fact and it is that if I don't have you, no man will do". He threatened.
"What do you mean by that statement?". Serena asked.
"You will soon find out". He replied and left her.
***
"I'm glad that the fool has backed off. He's such a devil". Titi said.
"I never knew he was capable of such attitude. To think that I thought so highly of him then". Serena said sadly.
A knock on the door interrupted their discussion. Serena went to get the door and froze.
"Hi Serena. Long time no see!".
"What are you doing here, Linda?". Serena said calmly.
"Wow, no pleasantries for an old friend. That's so harsh". Linda sneered.
"You should know you're not welcome here. So if you have anything to say, then go straight to the point".
"Can I come in please?".
Serena sized her up and down before allowing her into the apartment. Titi watched Linda in amusement while looking at Serena for answers to the curiosity of her mind. Serena served her a bottle of chilled water along with a glass cup and settled down beside Titi.
"So, to what do we owe this visit?".
"Serena, I'm sorry for what I did to you. I admit that I was wrong". She started.
"Okay?".
"I need your help. I need you to talk to Tony for me, please". She pleaded. Serena looked at her strangely and let out a mocking laughter.
"If there's anyone who's capable of subduing Tony, it should be you. Wasn't there a way you applied in cajoling him to cheating on me? Can't that same trick help you now?".
"I'm so sorry Serena. I know we shouldn't be having this conversation now but consider my baby. Ever since we got married, Tony hadn't touched me. I thought he would change after the birth of our daughter but he only got worse. After I got discharged, he never bothered about her welfare. He left me to fend for her. Everyday, he would stare at your pictures and call your name. He would act like you were there with him, discussing with him". She paused to wipe the tears on her face.
"He said he never wanted to marry me in the first place. He threatened to throw me out when he gets married to you. Serena, please talk to him. Please".
"Well, I'm sorry but there's nothing I can do. My life is also in danger too. Besides, you wanted him. Now that you have him, you have to endure whatever consequences that comes. That's the end of this conversation, do have a good day". Serena stood up and left the room, leaving Linda transfixed on the spot with Titi grinning.
"You heard her now, please leave my house! Get out!". Titi said pointing to the door. Linda glared at her angrily and stormed out, slamming the door shut.

*** "I'm glad that the fool has backed off. _______________ To be continued... Can you imagine the audacity of Linda? Like she could have the guts to ask for Serena's help? Part 7
James took her to one of the biggest restaurant in Ibadan. Serena gasped as she looked around the place, her eyes scanning the screaming luxury before her.
A man dressed in an elegant suit walked towards them.
"Mr James, it's good to see you again sir. The reservation is ready".
"Thank you Mr Kunle". James said while they shook hands. Mr Kunle led them to another section of the restaurant. Serena noticed that it was different from the first section they had passed. Gold chandeliers hung from the ceiling. The furniture were of glass unlike the wooden ones in the first section.
Serena sat down carefully, cautious not to break the chair. She looked around at the paintings in the room.
"You surely have an expensive taste. This place looks more like a gallery than a restaurant". She commented.
"Well, what would you expect? But sadly, I still miss those bukas. They know how to prepare excellent meals". James said sadly. Serena chuckled.
After they had eaten, they ordered for dessert.
"I'm sorry to pry but I'm curious. What happened between you and your fiance?". James asked.
"Well, it turned out that he cheated on me with my friend who later got pregnant for him. From what I gathered, I found out that she seduced him and forced him to sleep with her. When I returned from an official trip, a friend called to inform me about her getting married. I arrived at the venue to discover that my fiance was getting married to my friend". Serena narrated, fighting back tears. James handed her a wipe which collected and cleaned her face.
"I never felt so hurt in my life like that day. I felt like my world had been torn apart. But thank God, I'm recuperating now". She smiled sadly.
"It's okay. You'll heal soon".
"I know right". They kept quiet for some time, each one lost in thoughts. Serena thought of Tony and the dreams they had shared together while James thought of how he could win her heart again.
"I suggest we go on sightseeing. It's been long since I had a chance like this". James said.
"I'd like that very much. Come to think of it, I've not been to a zoo in a long time now". Serena chuckled.
"Let's go then".
They bought some takeaway along with them before leaving the restaurant. Hours later, they got to the zoo. They bought their tickets and were taken round by a tour guide who lectured them on each animal they saw.
When they got to the part where monkeys were, Serena threw bananas to the monkeys who scrambled for it hungrily. However, she clung tight to James when they got to the lion's arena.
"Don't tell me you're scared of lions". He teased her.
"Who isn't? As if you can boldly go into the cage and feed it". Serena replied grumpily. James laughed at how childish she looked when she pouted her lips.
When they left the zoo, it was already evening time.
"Thank you James for today. It was fun hanging out with you". Serena said happily. James had took her home and they leaned on his car.
"I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to hanging out with you again". He held her hand tenderly and squeezed it gently.
"You've got to look after your father's company. Don't forget that". She replied.
"I know right, it's just that I enjoy spending time with you. I want you to be happy". James said.
"Don't worry yourself about me, I'm fine". She smiled.
"Promise me you would take good care of yourself".
"I will, James". She replied.
"Good night Serena. I'd call you when I get home".
"Good night James. Take care and stay safe". She said as she waved at him. He blew her a kiss before driving off in his car.
**
The following week, Serena went to her workplace as usual. On getting to her office, she found a letter and bouquet of flowers on the table.
"Who could have sent this?". She wondered as she tore the letter open. By the time she finished reading the letter, she flew into rage.
"Tony must be out of his mind! How dare he send me these trash?".
Furious, she took her phone and dialed Tony's number.
"Hello my love".
"Please hold it there! Who is your love? Are you out of your mind?". Serena yelled on the phone.
"Calm down baby girl. What's wrong with you?". Tony said calmly.
"I should be asking you that question. Why did you send me these trash?".
"I didn't send any trash baby, I only sent a bouquet of flowers and a letter to tell you how much I still love you and want you in my life". Tony replied boldly. Serena felt like seeing him instantly and smash his head.
"Oh really? You want me now when you're tired of Linda, right?".
"I want you...". She cut him off sharply.
"So you can suck me dry like an orange and dispose me when the juice is gone, right?". Tony kept mute.
"Just a warning for you, don't ever call my number again in your life!". Serena hissed and hung up.
***
"You don't mean it! How dare he?". Titi fumed.
"He said he wants me in his life. The way he said it ehn, you would I was just a commodity". Serena said, clicking her tongue. She was shaking her legs angrily. Titi let out a brief laughter and clapped thrice.
"He might have developed mental issues...". The doorbell rang, interrupting them.
"I'm not expecting any visitors, who could it be?". Titi thought aloud as she went to get the door. When she opened the door, she found a delivery man carrying a medium sized package.
"Hello ma'am. Please, are you Miss Serena Johnson?". He asked.
"No, I'm her friend. How may I help you?". Titi said, tilting her head to one side.
"I was asked to deliver this package to her". He handed the package to Titi who didn't collect it. Instead she eyed the man suspiciously.
"Who sent it?".

Part 6
Serena took a leave from work the next week. Every day, she would cry and cry till she got tired. She lost appetite and wouldn't talk to anyone.
Titi convinced her to move in with her for the meantime till she recovered. After a month, Serena decided to move on with her life. She buried herself in work and paid no attention to romance.
One day, she was watching a reality show on TV with Titi when her phone rang. When she saw it was James, she didn't pick.
"Who's it?". Titi asked.
"A friend. I don't want to talk to him yet".
"My friend, pick that call. What's wrong with you? Please let go of Tony and embrace your reality". Titi said, obviously pissed at Serena's attitude. Reluctantly, she picked the call.
"Hi James!".
"Hey Serena. How are you?".
"I'm fine. How about you?". She asked.
"I'm doing well baby".
They spoke about family and career before James suddenly asked of her fiance.
"Oh, it's complicated".
"What do you mean?".
"We broke up". Serena said. There was a long silence.
"I'm sorry about that. How are you coping?". He finally spoke.
"Trying to be fine. But I know I'd be alright".
"You're a strong woman, you will get over it. If you need someone to confide in, I'm here for you. Don't hesitate to talk to me".
Serena chuckled. "Don't let me bother you. I'm fine".
"I insist. Come to think of it, I'd be coming over to Ibadan for a conference. Maybe we could hang out then".
"I won't...". James cut her off.
"No excuses. I'm not taking no for an answer this time".
"Okay o, I've heard you". She said smugly.
They talked some more before finally bidding each other goodbye. When she dropped the phone, she was smiling.
"What did he say that made you smile like this?". Titi teased.
"Leave me jor!". She laughed.
"Not until you tell me what he said".
"Okay. He wants to take me out this weekend". Serena said.
"That's wonderful. I'm happy for you".
"I didn't say I was going".
"Why won't you? My friend, please prepare o". Titi said laughing.
**
She didn't hear from him again till Friday evening. She was at work when his car came in.
"I'm sorry I didn't call again. I've been busy lately". He started after they had exchanged pleasantries.
"No qualms. I'm good, how are you?".
"I'm fine dear. When would you be free tomorrow?". He asked.
"By 1pm".
"Right, how about we meet tomorrow by 3pm?".
"That's okay".
"Send me your address so I can send my driver to pick you".
"Alright, thank you".
"I've not done anything yet, and you're already thanking me. Baby girl, relax o. I'd see you tomorrow. Till then, take care of yourself and stay safe". James said.
"I will, James. And you too".
After the conversation, she typed the address and sent it to his WhatsApp.
***
"You're looking stunning, dear". Titi told her. Serena had dressed up in a yellow and black polkadot gown that reached her knees. She wore a pair of black sandals to match. Her braided hair fell down to her shoulders giving her a sophisticated yet gentle look.
"Thank you Titi".
There was a knock at the door at that moment. The ladies exchanged an excited look.
"That must be the driver. Let me go and get the door". Titi volunteered and went off. She soon returned with a young man.
"James! I can't believe you came yourself". Serena yelped. James pulled her into an embrace and held her face tenderly.
"Well, I came. Are you ready?".
"Yes I am. But before that, let me introduce my friend to you. Here's Titilayo". She turned to Titi who was smiling shyly. "Titi, please meet James".
They shook hands briefly. "It's really good to meet you in person. Please take good care of her". Titi said.
"Trust me, she's in safe hands ma'am". James chuckled.
"I hope so. Serena, take care and enjoy yourself". Titi winked.
"I will baby. Thank you".
They left the apartment and walked to where he parked his car. He opened the door for her.
"Oh James, don't be funny".
"You're a princess, you must be treated as such". He replied. Serena laughed.
"You're not serious jareh".
James got into the car and turned on the ignition before driving off. Distance away, someone was watching.

Part 5
Two days later, Serena travelled back home. On arrival, she didn't meet Linda at home. But she found a note on the table.
"Dear Serena, I was feeling lonely so I decided to go and stay at the house of my fiance. I'll see you later".
Serena hissed angrily and threw away the note. " If she likes, she can stay there forever".
She took in her bags and went to shower after which she sat down to devour the akara and pap that she purchased on her way. She had just finished eating when her phone rang. It was Titi, one of her colleagues at work.
"Hello Titi. Good morning".
"Ha, Serena! Where are you at the moment?". Titi asked agitatedly, ignoring the greetings.
"Chill, I'm at home. I just arrived from the official trip. Is anything the problem?".
"Wait, did your friend tell you she was getting married?". Titi asked.
"Yes, she mentioned that she would be getting married in a month time. Infact, she's pregnant". Serena replied, wondering where the conversation was leading to.
"Oh my God! Linda is a traitor. You know what, just dress up and meet me at the High Court ASAP!!". Titi said with urgency in her voice. Serena got perplexed.
"What's going on?". She wondered as she quickly dressed up and rushed out of the house. When she arrived at the High Court, she saw Titi standing outside, her hands on her hips. She walked towards her.
"Titi, what's happening?".
"Serena, I need you to calm down. Let's go into the premises and wait". Titi said and pulled her inside the court's premises. Serena could see some cars parked and decorated for a wedding. One of the cars caught her attention.
"Wait a minute, this car looks like Tony's. Or am I seeing things? Maybe it's just a lookalike". She thought.
After waiting for a while, she saw some people walk out of the court. From where she stood, she could see Linda dressed in a wedding gown.
"Oh my God!". She gasped. So Linda could do this, she thought. Then she look at the groom closely. At first, she thought that her eyes were playing trick on her.
"Wait, is that Tony?". She asked in a whisper. Titi held her and shook her head sadly. Serena shook her off and stormed towards the duo in fury.
"What is going on here?".
Tony and Linda were shocked to see her. They didn't expect her to be there since she had travelled.
"Serena, I can explain". Tony started.
"Oh really, I'm all ears. Tell me your story". Serena replied sardonically.
"I didn't mean to hurt you but she seduced me. She got me drunk and forced herself on me". Tony revealed.
"Are you mad?! Why are you lying against me? Weren't you the one who forced yourself on me that night when you came over to our place?". Linda countered.
"I can't believe this! Linda, how could you do this to me? You seduced my man, got pregnant for him and married him. I trusted you so much not knowing that you're a devil's incarnate. Who knows? You could have poisoned me too". Serena was still speaking when Linda cut her off.
"Hey Serena, watch your words! Don't you dare accuse me of what I didn't do. Tony's moved on, why don't you do the same and get out of here!".
"I will, honey. But know one thing, you're going to regret this. I promise you". She turned to Tony.
"You said you loved me, why didn't you tell me what happened? Why? Tony, I loved you with my whole life. I shared everything I had with you but you decided to cheat on me, with my friend. You know, I used to wonder how Jesus felt when Judas Iscariot betrayed him. I think I know how it feels now to be betrayed by the people you loved". She laughed and left.
"Serena, I'm sorry. Please". Tony ran after her and caught up with her. Titi eyed Linda who stared back defiantly. She didn't even show any sign of remorse.
"You're such a stinky slut!". Titi told her.
"Hey, hold it there! I don't recollect coming near your man". Linda fired.
"Look at this snake! You're not even ashamed of yourself. Ashawo!". Titi cursed and left to find Serena. She found Tony running after Serena and ran after him. She stopped a distance away from the duo and watched them.
"Don't touch me! Don't even come close to me!". She screamed at him but he didn't listen. He pulled her into an embrace and allowed her to cry in his arms while enduring her punches and bitings.
"I'm sorry for hurting you Serena. I really didn't want to. I loved you Serena, I really did".
"I don't want to hear it again!".
"You know what, I wish you a happy married life. Go back to your wife and unborn child, thank you so much". She said and pushed him off. She looked around and saw Titi watching them.
"Titi, let's leave this place".
Titi came over to meet her and pulled her into an embrace while patting her back gently. Serena watched Tony's retreating figure and burst into a torrent of tears when he was out of sight.
"It's alright Serena. You will find a good man who will love you and stay faithful to you". Titi said, trying to console her.

_______________ To be continued... Dear Serena, take heart. Life is full of so much evil. Do you think that Titi did the right thing? Part 4
"So what have you been up to all these years?". Serena asked Jane who took a sip of wine before replying.
"Pursuing my dreams of being a recognized in the business industry. I just got back from the States after bagging my Masters in Business Administration. Dad said I would be overseeing the affairs of the company's branch at Lagos".
"Wow! I'm so proud of you Jane. How about your love life?". Serena asked.
"I'm engaged dear. Infact my wedding is in a month time". Jane replied.
"Awwn... Congratulations baby!".
"Thank you darling".
Serena then turned to James who was already lost in thoughts.
"What about you?".
"What about me? I don't understand". Serena and Jane exchanged looks.
"Weren't you listening to the discussion?". Jane asked.
"Oh, not really. I'm sorry, what was the discussion about?".
"What have you been up to these days?".
"I'm in charge of the company at Abuja and Kano". He said.
"Wow... That's nice. How's your love life?". Serena seemed interested about his relationship status.
"It's kinda complicated... We broke up". He looked away.
"Oh, I'm sorry about that. What happened?". Serena probed.
"She broke his heart into a million pieces, Serena. He caught her in bed with his best friend". Jane told Serena.
"That's so cruel! How could his friend do that to him?".
"Let's leave the past alone. I'm trying to move on, please". James said curtly. Serena reached for his hands.
"I'm sorry for probing. I hope your heart heals soon".
"I hope so".
"So tell us about you". Jane said changing the topic of discussion. Serena sighed.
"I'm working for a law firm at Ibadan. I'm currently a barrister".
"Wow! Barrister Serena Johnson". Jane teased.
"That's me!".
"How's your love life?".
"It's amazing. I'm already engaged but we're still making plans for our wedding". Serena said.
"That's great news! I'm happy for you. I can't wait to meet this guy who swept you off your feet". Jane replied.
"Me too".
Hours later, Serena said she was leaving as it was getting late. The twins offered to take her to the hotel she booked for the night. On getting there, Jane gasped.
"This hotel is actually one of my Mom's conglomerate".
"Are you kidding me?". Serena exclaimed.
"I'm sure not. Let me have your contact so we can stay in touch". Jane suggested.
"No problem".
They exchanged contacts and promised to keep in touch. When they left, she entered the hotel and went to her room. She thought about their old times together.
James had a thing for her then. He was always around her but she wasn't interested in him. Every day, she would find his letters in her locker. But she was a serious person who didn't had time for teenage romance so she didn't pay him any attention.
However when they got to their final year in secondary school, he stopped sending her letters. He was one of the popular kids in school so girls flocked around him, seeking for his attention. When he stopped sending her letters, she had mixed feelings about it. She thought he had moved on and probably didn't feel anything for her again.
But on their graduation day, something happened.
The school had organized a party for the graduands. Serena was watching her friends and classmates dancing with their partners. She wasn't interested anyways but she stayed back because of her friends.
An hour later, she got bored so she moved away from the noisy area and went behind the school hall. There were lots of trees so she went under one of the trees and plugged in her iPod. Soon she was lost in her own world, dancing all by herself.
"You're a good dancer".
She spun round to see who the intruder was. Her eyes widened when she saw James leaning against one of the trees. She wondered how long he had been watching her.
"Hi James".
He walked towards her and stopped right in front of her.
"Serena, why are you doing this to me?". He said softly.
"What did I do?".
"You know what you're doing". He told her.
"Well, I don't know what I'm doing to you". She fired and made to leave but he grabbed her arm.
"Where do you think you're going?".
Serena struggled with him but he didn't release his grip on her arm.
"Let go of me!".
"I won't. You're killing me Serena! You know how much I love you but you pretend like I don't exist. Why?". His eyes filled up, making Serena's heart melt.
"I'm sorry James, but I didn't want to be distracted".
"I understand that but couldn't you have just said something? It would have made me feel better".
"Really? James Bakare, what exactly do you want from me? You're handsome, rich and intelligent. There are lots of girls who would do anything to get your attention. Why would you bother yourself about one girl who won't pay attention to you?". Serena asked.
"I want your love, Serena". He said and leaned towards her.
**
She could feel the butterflies in her stomach as she remembered that day. He had kissed her with so much passion. So much for youthful exuberance, she giggled and laid on the soft bed.
That was the last time she saw him. Three days after the graduation party, she had travelled to her aunt's place and lost her phone. That was why she couldn't reach him again. But despite the fact that twelve years have passed, it seems he hadn't gotten over her. She could still see the desire in his eyes while they were at the bar. Sadly, she had Tony now.
It then occured to her that Tony hadn't called her that day. What's going on, she thought. She took her phone and called his line but it wasn't reachable.
"I just hope Linda isn't right". She muttered. Stifling a yawn, she knelt beside the bed and said her prayers.

Part 3
Tony and Linda continued their sexual escapades while Serena didn't suspect the foul play. She believed that Tony was busy not knowing that her friend had suceeded in taking her man from her.
Until when the bomb shell dropped!
She noticed a small bulge in her friend's tummy. Suspecting it to be a pregnancy, she asked Linda who confirmed it.
"What?! So you've been sleeping with a guy you're not married to yet? What if he dumps you?". Serena asked angrily.
"That won't happen, my dear. Don't worry, he proposed to me three days ago". Linda announced and shook her hands before Serena, showing her the engagement band on her wrist.
"Oh my God". Serena gasped. "But... We're friends! Why did you keep it from me?". Serena asked obviously hurt by her friend's secrecy.
"Like I said, I'm sorry". Linda rose to her feet and yawned. "I'm feeling sleepy already, I'm going to bed". She said and left the living room.
"Something's fishy about Linda. Why would she keep the whole thing a secret?". Serena pondered while scrolling through her phone. She wanted to call her fiance to check up on him.
"What's wrong with Tony's number these days? It's not been reachable. He didn't even bother to call me. Why is he acting strange?". She wondered. After much deliberation, she decided to pay him a surprise visit the next day.
***
Tony wasn't expecting Serena to show up at his house. She had only been there once just to drop something at his place. But here she was, clad in a cream colored gown that blended with her dark skin. Her long thick hair was combed and packed into a fashionably style. She was beautiful and perfect for him, if not for Linda who ruined their relationship. He thought to himself.
"So what happened?". Serena started.
"I don't understand your question?".
" I've tried calling your line for the past three days but it's not been reachable. Besides, you didn't even bother to check up on me. What happened?"? She asked.
If only she knew, Tony told himself bitterly. How much he loved her and adore her.
"I'm sorry, I got too buried in work". He said simply. Serena looked up at him with pained eyes.
"Wow... As much as I would like you to be hardworking, I'm still your girl. You should also set time aside for me". She told him.
"I would have loved to come but...".
Serena cut him off. "I'm not taking any excuses. Let's go on a date. I'm missing you, please". She was clinging to him now, looking at him with her big puppy eyes. Tony could feel himself melting in those eyes.
"Alright. I'll find time for us". He said. She squealed delightedly and hugged him.
**
Some weeks later, Serena went for an official trip to a nearby town. Later in the evening, she decided to take a stroll around the city. As she walked through the streets, a car suddenly parked near her.
"Serena Johnson?".
Serena stopped in her tracks and turned to look at the person who had called her full name.
"Oh my God! James and Janet Bakare?". She exclaimed in surprise.
A lady dressed in a luxurious gown alighted from the car while a young man in simple clothing followed her.
"Your memory is sharp o, how did you still remember our full names?". The two ladies embraced each other. Serena turned to look at the young man.
"James, is this really you? Your simplicity is top notch". She stretched out her hand towards him for an handshake but he hugged her rather.
"Well, it's still the me that you used to know with a little touch of change. By the way, you never changed". He told her while his sister smiled.
"Really? I don't believe you". Serena guffawed.
"Your lovely smile and dimples have always remained the same to me, dear". James complimented.
Serena blushed. "Thank you James".
"Where are you going? Maybe we could give you a lift". Jane interrupted.
"Just taking a stroll for fresh air. I'm actually on an official trip".
"That's nice. Why don't we go somewhere where we can talk better?". Jane suggested. Serena hesitated and thought of giving an excuse.
"And I'm not taking no for an answer. Let's go". James took her hand tenderly and opened the door of the car for her. His sister winked at him mischievously as she entered the other side of the car.

"No, I can't do this". Tony shook his head vehemently. He couldn't bear the thought of cheating on his fiancee.
"Alright then. Just wait till she finds out". Linda retorted and laid back in bed. Tony held his head in confusion.
Serena returned later in the day looking tired and flustered. She felt heavy but couldn't place the reason why she felt that way. She met Linda in the living room watching TV.
"Hey babe! How's you?". Serena said smiling.
"I'm good love. How was your trip?". Linda asked.
"It was fine. I tried calling your number yesterday but it was switched off. Tony's number also didn't go through. I've been calling his number since morning but he's not picking". Serena told her.
"Mmm... that's strange of him. Why would he do that?". Linda asked.
"I don't know too. Maybe he's angry that I didn't call him before going for the trip. Did he come around last night?". Serena queried.
"No. I didn't see him come around, I thought he didn't come because you had informed him about your absence". Linda replied looking surprised.
"That's weird. He has never done it before". Serena said.
"Are you sure you are the only one he's dating?". Linda asked suspiciously. Serena looked at her in shock.
"He won't dare cheat on me".
"My dear Serena, don't trust man o. They are devilish and scheming. They only use and dump women. They'd promise you heaven and earth but dump you when they get another lady who satisfies them than you". Linda told her and went inside.

PART ONE
Linda stared at the charming young man who sat across her at the table. He was tall and handsome with skin glowing with delicate care. He had pink lips that could drive any lady crazy.
Linda couldn't help but gape at the masterpiece before her. She bit her lower lip regretfully while her heart filled up with envy. How could her friend have met this demigod? How could she have been lucky to meet this man? Linda thought as she watched the lovers who were laughing heartily as they shared a joke.
"Linda, are you okay? You're looking pale". Serena, her friend asked. Her forehead furrowed with lines of worry.
"I'm not feeling well. I need some rest". Linda lied, using the opportunity to escape into the bedroom where she started orchestrating plans to snatch Tony from her friend.
Tony came to visit his fiancee on a daily basis during the evenings. Sometimes they'd go on a walk leaving Linda at the house. Other times, they would stay back at the girls residence and gist.
One fateful evening, Tony came but met Serena's absence. Linda told him she stepped out and would soon be back.
"Let me get you a drink". Linda said and disappeared into the kitchen before he could protest.
"Thank you so much Linda". Tony smiled as she served him a chilled fruit juice. She later excused herself and left him in the living room. Tony gulped down the drink as he had been exhausted by the scorching heat of the sun during the day. He dialed Serena's number several times but it wasn't reachable.
However, as time went on he suddenly felt aroused. The fire burning in his groin was so intense that he literally felt like passing out unless he relieved himself.
At that moment Linda came out from the room in a transparent night wear. She approached him seductively and touched his chest. Tony didn't know what transpired afterwards.
The next morning, he found himself in bed with Linda. He realized what happened and cried. He couldn't believe he had betrayed his love. Linda woke up and found him sobbing bitterly.
"Tony, what have you done?". She wailed.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me". He pleaded.
"Being sorry isn't enough to atone for what you have done". Linda said.
"What can I do to make atonement?". Tony asked innocently. She smiled at him with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

#_pen_of_GraceTHE BETRAYAL © Grace O.O PART ONE Linda stared at the charming young man who sat across her at the table. _____________ To be continued... What do you think Linda is up to? Life is spiritual.
Don't break your defence line.
When the defence line is broken, the enemies will invade you and your business, family, ministry, office, position, destiny, contacts and career.
Fortify your defence line because it is your refuge and fortress in time of problems.

THE DANGER OF FORCING LOVE
It is dangerous to force yourself on someone or marry someone who does not love you.
When there is no love in marriage, the wedding ring becomes a little handcuff and your marriage becomes a prison yard instead of a paradise on earth.
A man who does not love a woman during courtship will find it difficult to cherish her after getting married.
There are people who will never love you no matter how much you show love to them.
That's the reality of life.
Love is a choice.
Don't force yourself on anyone.
Don't keep fighting to be with someone who isn't fighting to be with you, you can't keep holding onto someone who is not holding onto you, you can't keep planning your future with someone who doesn't plan theirs with you, you can't keep running back to someone who is running away from you, you can't keep loving and caring about someone who shows that they no longer love you, and you can't keep taking someone as a priority yet they are taking you as their option.
Trust me, it's a waste of time and energy.
No matter how hard and hurting it is, you have to let go and open up a new chapter for your life.
Because there are thousand of people who are praying and wishing to spend the rest of their lives with you!
Why kill yourself over someone who thinks he or she is doing you a big favor by being in a relationship with you.
You deserve to be happy, loved and cared for not to be sad all the time, to have sleepless nights, to cry and plead for someone's love.
Think about it.
You have to be in a relationship in which you are loved, celebrated, honored and not tolerated.
But until you let go of the wrong person from your life, you can't see the right person for your life.
Sometimes we may love the wrong person, cry for the wrong reasons.
But one thing is for sure, mistakes help us to find the right person.
Know your place in people's life and act accordingly.
It's not pride, it is self respect.THE DANGER OF FORCING LOVE It is dangerous to force yourself on someone or marry someone who does not love you. THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
*Good Thoughts of the Day*
1. Burial rice tastes nice until it’s cooked in your compound.
2. When the axe came to the forest, the trees said the handle is one of us. Until they felt its cuts; BETRAYAL IS within.
3. When a kid grows up, a pencil is replaced by a pen just to make the kid realize that now it is not easy to erase the mistake.
4. One day, the ground we walk on will be our roof.
5. If loyalty was real, water is not supposed to cook the fish.
6. People don’t abandon people they love. They abandon people they are using.
7. How I wish RIP means "Return If Possible";
8. One Sad Truth about life is that you may not even be part of the future you’re stressed about.
9. The day you lose your father is the day you will realize that you have lost the only man who wanted to see you better than him.
10. The sheep lived all her life, fearing the wolf, but it was the shepherd that finally ate it.
11. When we were kids, we cried loudly to be noticed. But now we cry silently because we don’t want anyone to know.
12. My mom always said, "don’t talk while eating." I never knew she was talking about life.
13. Just because you have a good mom, doesn’t mean your dad has a good wife.
14. Is this the life we were kicking our mothers' stomachs for?
15. Just because you’re a good person, doesn’t mean the world owes you kindness.
16. When the blind man sees, he throws away the stick that has been helping him for years.
17. Nowadays you need money to become a member of your own family.
18. FAMILY is like a FOREST from a distance. They are all close until you get closer to see how SEPARATED the trees are:
19. Just play along.....

Morning Good my People...
God Bless you allMorning Good my People... God Bless you all -
I was reading a book called Your Brain on P*rn by Gary Wilson a few weeks ago... and let me just say, I haven't looked at my phone the same since, am still reading ,
The man explained things I wish I knew at 13. He said your brain reacts to p*rn the same way it reacts to cocaine.
Like, your neurons are not even being humble about it. The brain literally goes, “Ooooh dopamine!” and rewires itself to chase that high like rent is due.
It hit me deep when he said this generation isn’t just struggling with lust, we’re struggling with hijacked reward systems.
That’s why you can’t focus, can’t connect, can’t sleep, can’t love, your brain is fried, not broken.
And it’s not just science talking. I went into a rabbit hole after that.
Do you know centuries ago, philosophers were already warning about this stuff?
There’s a quote often attributed to ancient empires that said:
“If you want to destroy a nation, flood it with n*dity and broken families.
The rest will fall by itself.”
Even the Indian spiritualists and monks, people who’ve meditated more hours than I’ve been alive, said this centuries ago.
They warned that s*xual energy, if not respected, can ruin the strongest men and even empires.
These guys would fast, meditate, avoid eye contact, and sit under trees for 30 years just to avoid what some of us casually open on lunch break
They weren’t being dramatic. They were protecting their minds.
Because the mind is the battlefield, and p*rn is an invisible weapon.
Silent. Shameful. Easy to access. Hard to unsee.
I was addicted for years. Not because I wanted to be, but because I was lonely. Empty. Bored. Angry.
And it felt like the easiest escape.
I didn’t need to talk to anyone. Just click, scroll, watch, hide. Until hiding became a lifestyle.
But healing started when I realized:
I wasn’t just watching p*rn.
I was avoiding pain.
I was feeding my lust and starving my soul.
I was substituting quick pleasure for real purpose.
And slowly, I was losing me.
So I made some changes.
I blocked sites.
Deleted apps.
Got accountability.
Started journaling.
Working out.
Learning.
Creating.
Reading.
And building a life that doesn’t need escapism.
Listen p*rn is not just “bad for you.”
It’s a system built to keep you distracted, addicted, emotionally numb, and spiritually weak.
If you think it’s “just entertainment,” congrats. That’s exactly what the billion-dollar industry wants you to believe.
You don’t have to be perfect. But you owe it to yourself to be free.
This is your wake-up call.
You are more than a slave to pixels.
You are powerful.
Gifted.
Creative.
Loved.
And your mind was built to dream, not just scroll.

*Episode 5: A Proposal in the Air*
As the days turned into weeks, Omar's feelings for Sarah only deepened. He couldn't imagine spending his life with anyone else. One evening, as they strolled through the park, Omar found himself thinking about proposing.
He wanted it to be perfect – a moment Sarah would cherish forever. Omar started planning a surprise, thinking about the right words to say and the perfect setting.
Meanwhile, Sarah sensed a change in Omar's behavior. "You're distant lately," she said one evening as they cuddled on the couch. "Everything okay?"
Omar smiled, holding her close. "Everything's fine. I just... I love you, Sarah. More than words can say."
Sarah's heart fluttered. "I love you too, Omar. You're my everything."
Omar's heart skipped a beat. He knew he was ready to take the next step. The question was, would Sarah say yes?...

*Episode 4: A Family Affair*
Omar decided it was time for Sarah to meet his family. He was excited to introduce her to the people he loved, and he hoped they would love her just as much.
As they arrived at his parents' house, Omar's mom, Fatima, greeted them with a warm smile. "It's so nice to finally meet you, Sarah!" she exclaimed, hugging her tightly.
Sarah was charmed by Fatima's warmth and hospitality. She felt at ease as they sat down for dinner, surrounded by Omar's family. Ahmed, Omar's dad, asked Sarah questions about her interests and hobbies, and she impressed him with her intelligence and kindness.
As the evening progressed, Omar watched Sarah laugh and joke with his family, feeling grateful that they seemed to get along so well. He knew that his family was important to him, and it meant a lot that they liked Sarah.
After dinner, Fatima pulled Omar aside and whispered, "She's lovely, beta (son). You two seem perfect for each other."
Omar smiled, feeling happy that his mom approved. "Thanks, Mom. I'm really falling for her."
Fatima smiled back. "I can see that. Just remember, relationships take work, but if you both are committed, you can build a beautiful life together."
Omar nodded, taking his mom's words to heart. He knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life making Sarah happy, and he hoped she felt the same way...

*Episode 3: A Deeper Connection*
As the days turned into weeks, Omar and Sarah's relationship blossomed. They spent countless hours exploring the city, trying new restaurants, and laughing together. Omar felt like he was getting to know Sarah on a deeper level, and he was amazed by their connection.
One evening, as they sat on the couch, watching a movie, Omar turned to Sarah and asked, "What makes you happy?"
Sarah thought for a moment before responding, "I find happiness in the little things – a beautiful sunset, a good book, or a warm cup of coffee on a chilly morning. But most of all, I find happiness in the people I love and who love me back."
Omar's heart swelled with emotion. He felt like he had found someone who understood the importance of love and connection. He leaned in and kissed her, feeling a spark of electricity run through his body.
As they pulled back, Sarah smiled and said, "I love the way you make me feel. You have a way of calming my nerves and making me feel like everything will be okay."
Omar's heart skipped a beat. He knew that he felt the same way about her. He took her hand and said, "I love the way you make me feel too. You bring light and joy into my life."

*Episode 2: A Glimpse of Happiness*
Omar couldn't shake off his father's words. He thought about his girlfriend, Sarah, and how she made him feel. They had been dating for a few months, and he enjoyed her company, but he wasn't sure if she was the one.
One evening, Omar decided to take Sarah to the same park where he had spent countless hours with his family. As they walked hand in hand, watching the sunset, Omar felt a sense of calm wash over him. Sarah's laughter and smile lit up the surroundings, and he couldn't help but feel drawn to her.
As they sat on a bench, Sarah turned to him and asked, "What's on your mind? You seem a bit distant."
Omar hesitated, then shared his father's words about finding someone who brings peace and happiness. Sarah listened intently, her eyes sparkling with understanding.
"I feel the same way about you, Omar," she said. "You're the calm in my storms. You make me feel seen and heard."
Omar's heart skipped a beat. Maybe his father was right; maybe Sarah was the one. He felt a sense of excitement and nervousness as he realized that he might have found someone special.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, Omar knew he had to take things to the next level. He wanted to spend more time with Sarah, to get to know her better, and to see if their love could grow stronger...

7. How I wish RIP means "Return If Possible";

**PRAYER IS THE MASTER KEY*
Acts 12:5-17*
*Peter Freed from Prison*
5 Peter was therefore kept in prison, but a *constant prayer* was offered to God for him by the church.
6 And when Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping, bound with two chains between two soldiers; and the guards before the door were [b]keeping the prison.
7 Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands.
8 Then the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and tie on your sandals”; and so he did. And he said to him, “Put on your garment and follow me.”
9 So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision.
. 10 When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.
11 And when Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people.”
12 So, when he had considered this, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose surname was Mark, where many were gathered together *praying*

THE MESSAGE OF SALVATION
*Sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything. 2Corinthians:6:10*
*The Lord will give you grace to keep on rejoicing, no matter what you are passing through. Receive the grace to possess your God giving opportunity. You will be empowered to overcome the most difficult time. Your stumbling block, will turn to a stepping stone. In the name of one God who manifest himself in three ways, Father, Son, Holy Spirit, in Jesus Christ mighty and powerful name we pray.*
*Do not forget that Jesus Christ is coming back to the world to take the saints home, be Prepared and make yourself ready, this is my Gospel Shalom.***PRAYER IS THE MASTER KEY* Acts 12:5-17* *Peter Freed from Prison* 5 Peter was therefore kept in prison, but a *constant prayer* was offered to God for him by the church. And he said to him, “Put on your garment and follow me.” 9 So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. . 10 When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him. 11 And when Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people.” 12 So, when he had considered this, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose surname was Mark, where many were gathered together *praying* -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE MESSAGE OF SALVATION *Sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything. 2Corinthians:6:10* *The Lord will give you grace to keep on rejoicing, no matter what you are passing through. DON’T SETTLE FOR HATRED
(1) THE ENEMY will use a handful of insensitive people in his attempt to rewire your brain to hate. Your open, loving heart frustrates him.
(2) RECENTLY (within the past few years), it seems like you have encountered some of THE WORST PEOPLE you’ve ever met in your life.
(3) They are hateful, selfish, arrogant, liars, cons, two-faced, betrayers, etc. & and they have soured your heart towards “people.”
•You no longer trust or believe in people.
•You’d rather not be bothered with anyone.
•Your heart is still trying to recover from the pain of trusting the wrong people.
•You’re all but convinced that there’s no one on earth who is worth your time, trust, or love.
(4) THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT SATAN WANTS. He wants you disconnected, discouraged, angry, depressed, & isolated. That way, he can destroy you & your purpose.
(5) I WANT TO CHALLENGE YOU to change your focus & become discerning. Everyone is not alike. There are good people all around you. But they’re NOT perfect. You will have to give them Grace. Connect with them. But this time, before you connect, put BOUNDARIES in place.
•Say NO when your gut tells you to!
•Say YES if you‘re comfortable!
•Set aside time for yourself.
•Move slowly when making new connections.
•Be on guard for takers, users, & frauds. They’re still out there.
(6) DON’T GIVE UP ON PEOPLE. Just avoid demonic people—the ones who are up to no good.
(7) COMMIT TO LOVING yourself & others the way the Lord wants you to. Don’t settle for hatred. Nobody is worth that.

*Dear Parent!!!*
Not every child will be a doctor.
Not every child will love maths.
Not every child will shine in class.
But every child carries something God put inside them.
Some children are quiet, but they observe deeply.
Some are always singing, drawing, or fixing things.
Some are natural leaders—even if they can’t sit still in class.
Every child has a spark. Your job is to notice it early.
Stop comparing your child to others.
Your neighbour’s child is not your standard.
Your child is not a mistake—they are a message.
They came with an assignment only they can fulfil.
Have you prayed for your children this morning?
Did you mention them by name?
Each one has a different calling, a different struggle, and a different need.
One may need boldness.
Another may need peace.
Another may need direction.
Your prayers are not small—they are spiritual investments.
So look again.
Watch closely.
Listen without judging.
Guide them gently.
One day that small gift you noticed will become a global solution.
If this speaks to you, share it.
Another parent needs this reminder.

Happy Children’s Day!
Today, we celebrate the precious gifts that children are to the world — full of potential, promise, and purpose. As we honor children everywhere, let us reflect on the values that help shape them into outstanding individuals. These values are beautifully captured in the word CHILDREN:
C for Credibility – being trustworthy and dependable.
H for Honesty – always telling the truth and doing what is right.
I for Integrity – standing firm in good character, even when no one is watching.
L for Loyalty – staying true to family, friends, and values.
D for Diligence – working hard and never giving up.
R for Respect – showing kindness and regard for others.
E for Endurance – staying strong through challenges.
N for Nobility – living with honor and a heart to serve others.
These are not just letters — they are life lessons. As we celebrate today, let’s be reminded that every child has the power to grow into a person of great value by living out these virtues.Happy Children’s Day! 21 UNTOLD TRUTHS ABOUT MEN THAT LADIES MAY NOT KNOW.
1.Many men actually find it difficult to express their emotions, which can lead to feelings of frustration and isolation.
Sometimes, you meet a sweet man who's showing you something else through his action and saying a different thing.
Not all men have the ability to express themselves.
Some struggle with emotional expression
2.While men are often known as being unemotional, in the actual sense, many of them deeply desire intimacy and deeper connection with their partners.
3.Men often fear rejection and criticism, which can hold them back from pursuing relationships or expressing their feelings.
Funnily, some don't mind keeping to themselves, than trying to make known their intention to someone who will reject them.
4.Just like women, men can struggle with body image issues and feelings of inadequacy.
They have areas in their bodies that they aren't proud of, and wish they could work on.
They aren't just loud about it like the women.
5.Many men feel a strong sense of responsibility to provide for their partners and families, which can be a source of stress and anxiety.
Sometimes, they get overwhelmed with the whole position of having to lead and be the providers.
They want to take the back seat sometimes and equally be pampered and provided for.
6.While men may not always show their emotions like the women do, many men are deeply emotional and more empathetic than most women.
7.Men often struggle to communicate their feelings and needs effectively, which can lead to conflicts and misunderstandings.
They don't mind going through the other route just to avoid too much explanation.
8.Men often feel unseen and unappreciated, that is why a little gratitude and appreciation can go a long way in building their confidence and self-esteem.
9.Men usually feel pressured to conform to traditional masculine norms, which can limit their ability to express themselves and pursue their passions.
10.Men are often stereotyped as being unemotional and unsympathetic, which is not actually true.
Most men are deeply sensitive, empathetic and thoughtful.
11.Many men struggle with feelings of inadequacy and insecurity, particularly in their relationships and careers.
They just hardly show off this part so you don't look down on them.
12.Men often crave physical touch and affection, but may not always know how to ask for it or receive it.
13.Men may be deeply affected by past traumas, such as childhood abuse or experiences, which can affect their relationships and overall well being.
14.Men often feel pressured to be strong, look strong and always act strong, which can make it difficult for them to express their emotions and vulnerabilities.
15.Men are often stereotyped as being uncreative and unemotional, but many men are deeply creative and nurturing.
16.Many men struggle with feelings of loneliness and isolation, particularly as they get older.
17.Men often struggle with anxiety and depression as a result of societal expectations from them and the need to conform to a particular way of life, just to appear like a man.
18.Men may be deeply affected by societal expectations and norms, which can limit their ability to express themselves and pursue their passions.
Sometimes, these expectations put too much pressure on them, thereby leading to health breakdown.
19.Men often have a deep emotional connection with their children, and may struggle with feelings of guilt, inadequacy, or worry about being a good parent.
20.Men can actually be deeply vulnerable and open.
It's a fallacy to think that most of them are too hard and secretive.
I have had lots of male clients who booked sessions with me just to gain clarity in their love life.
21.Men can be deeply affected by their relationships with their fathers, which can impact their own romantic relationships and parenting styles.
These untold truths about men can help you to better understand and appreciate the man in your life.21 UNTOLD TRUTHS ABOUT MEN THAT LADIES MAY NOT KNOW. 1.Many men actually find it difficult to express their emotions, which can lead to feelings of frustration and isolation. *THE DAY I'LL FIND LOVE*
*Episode 3: A Night to Remember*
The next evening, Ava got ready for her dinner date with Ethan, feeling like a kid on Christmas morning. She chose a simple yet elegant dress, did her hair, and applied a light layer of makeup.
When Ethan arrived at her doorstep, he looked dashing in a navy blue shirt and dark jeans. He handed her a bouquet of sunflowers, her favorite flowers, which made her heart skip a beat.
They walked to a nearby Italian restaurant, enjoying the warm summer evening. Over dinner, they talked about their dreams, aspirations, and passions. Ava was captivated by Ethan's creativity, kindness, and sense of humor.
As they finished their meal, Ethan suggested a stroll along the riverfront. The sky was painted with hues of pink and orange, and the sound of the water lapping against the shore created a soothing melody.
As they walked, Ethan took Ava's hand, sending shivers down her spine. She felt a sense of belonging, like she was meant to be with him. They talked about their favorite books, and Ethan recited a poem that left Ava breathless.
The night air was filled with magic, and Ava knew she was falling for Ethan. As they stood on the riverfront, watching the stars twinkle to life, Ethan turned to her and said, "Ava, I feel like I've known you my whole life. You're amazing."
Ava's heart fluttered, and she smiled up at him. "I feel the same way, Ethan," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Ethan's eyes locked onto hers, and he leaned in, his lips brushing against hers in a gentle kiss. Ava's world spun around her, and she knew in that moment that she was exactly where she was meant to be...

*Episode 2: A Cup of Coffee and a Spark*
Ava smiled, feeling a flutter in her chest. "I'd love to grab a cup of coffee with you," she said, trying to sound casual despite the excitement bubbling inside her.
Ethan grinned, and they walked side by side to a nearby café. The evening air was filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the sound of laughter from passersby.
As they sat down at a small table, Ava couldn't help but notice the way Ethan's eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled. They chatted effortlessly, discussing everything from books to music to their shared love of adventure.
The conversation flowed like a gentle stream, and Ava found herself feeling more and more at ease in Ethan's presence. She learned that he was a book lover, a writer, and a hopeless romantic. As they sipped their coffee, Ava felt a spark of connection she couldn't ignore.
As the night wore on, the café began to empty, and the barista started cleaning up. Ethan glanced at his watch and apologized for keeping Ava out so late. "I should probably get going," he said, "but would you like to grab dinner with me tomorrow night?"
Ava's heart skipped a beat. She hadn't expected things to move so fast, but she couldn't deny the chemistry between them. "I'd love to," she said, smiling up at him.
Ethan's face lit up, and he walked Ava home, the city lights twinkling around them like stars. As they stood outside her apartment, he turned to her and said, "I'm really looking forward to tomorrow night."
Ava smiled, feeling a sense of anticipation she hadn't experienced in a long time. "Me too," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Ethan leaned in, his face inches from hers. Ava's heart pounded in her chest as she wondered if he would kiss her. And then, just as suddenly, he smiled and said, "Goodnight, Ava. Sleep tight."
Ava watched as Ethan walked away, feeling a mix of excitement and curiosity. What would tomorrow night bring?...

*THE DAY I'LL FIND LOVE*
*Episode 1: A Glimpse of Destiny*
The sun was setting over the bustling streets of New York City, casting a warm orange glow over the concrete jungle. Amidst the chaos, a young woman named Ava Morales walked with purpose, her long brown hair swaying gently in the breeze. She had just left a meeting with a potential client for her graphic design business, feeling hopeful about the prospect of landing a new project.
As she turned the corner onto 5th Avenue, Ava's eyes landed on a small, quaint bookstore she had never noticed before. The sign above the door read "Moonlit Pages," and the window display caught her attention. A vintage typewriter sat atop a stack of classic novels, surrounded by twinkling string lights.
Ava felt an inexplicable pull towards the store, as if fate was beckoning her inside. She pushed open the door, and a soft bell above it rang out, welcoming her to the cozy haven within.
The store was dimly lit, with rows of shelves packed tightly with books of every genre. The air was thick with the scent of old paper and leather-bound tomes. Ava wandered down the aisles, running her fingers over the spines of the books, feeling a sense of peace wash over her.
Suddenly, she collided with a tall, handsome stranger, knocking over a stack of books in the process. Apologies were exchanged, and as they both bent to pick up the scattered books, their eyes met.
Ava's heart skipped a beat as she gazed into the stranger's piercing blue eyes. He smiled, and his chiseled features softened, making him even more attractive. "I'm so sorry about that," he said, his deep voice sending shivers down Ava's spine.
As they gathered the books, Ava noticed the stranger's name tag: "Ethan Thompson, Owner." She introduced herself, and they chatted about books, sharing recommendations and laughter. The connection was instant, and Ava felt like she'd known Ethan for years.
As the store began to close, Ethan walked Ava out onto the sidewalk. "Would you like to grab a cup of coffee with me?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with interest.
Ava's heart raced as she hesitated, unsure if she should take a chance on this stranger. But something about Ethan drew her in, making her feel like she was standing on the threshold of something special...
(To be continued...)*THE DAY I'LL FIND LOVE* *Episode 1: A Glimpse of Destiny* The sun was setting over the bustling streets of New York City, casting a warm orange glow over the concrete jungle. *LESSON OF THE DAY*
*WHO IS THE BOSS?*
The organs of the human body gathered to discuss who is the boss?.
The heart said: *it's me because I circulate blood.*
The brain said: *No, it's me, because I control everything.*
The liver said: *No, it's me, because I nourish the body.*
The lungs said: *It's us because we manage breathing.*
And the anus started laughing and said: *You're all nonsense. I'm the boss.*
*EVERYONE LAUGHED AT HIM.*
Then the anus decided to shut down for 7 days..
*The brain went crazy.*
*The liver started swelling..*
*The heart began failing,*
*The lungs went into distress*
Then everyone came to apologize to the anus, begging it to open up again...
MORAL.. *WE COMPLEMENT EACH OTHER IN LIFE, LET'S NOT UNDERESTIMATE OR NEGLECT ANYONE..*
With this message, I remind all members that we need each other. No one is more precious than the others...
Don't neglect any member, neither in society nor in life, because no one is useless.

12 So, when he had considered this, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose surname was Mark, where many were gathered together *praying***PRAYER IS THE MASTER KEY* Acts 12:5-17* *Peter Freed from Prison* 5 Peter was therefore kept in prison, but a *constant prayer* was offered to God for him by the church. HOW SHE CHANGED HER DRUNK HUSBAND
Read to the end
When a woman wants to teach you a lesson, even Satan sits down to take notes.
My neighbor was a big drunkard. His wife used to pick him up in bars and in trenches. Her family friends advised her to leave him but she was hopeful that she'll find a solution.
One Saturday she went to pick him again, he was completely drunk. Instead of taking him home, she headed straight to the mortuary. She negotiated with the mortuary attendants to make him lie with the corpses and when he wakes up, help me to teach him a lesson. She then went back home. Fear Women!
When he woke up, he started screaming when he found himself sleeping in the middle of dead bodies. He started screaming and calling for help pleading that he's not dead. The mortuary attendants came laughing and told him that they are used to corpses being brought to the morgue and start practicing witchcraft. They told him to lie down and that he was dead and whatever he was seeing was not in real life but in the other end of living dead.
He continued screaming and the morgue attendants came with an axe and hammer and told him that stubborn corpses are beaten and hacked until they become cooperative. He was told to lie and wait for his postmortem later that day since his cause of death hadn't been established.
He stayed there frightened in the middle of corpses the whole of that day and Sunday night.
On Monday morning they released him and told him to go home, say bye bye to his family and then come back to the morgue for preservation since he was now a mere spirit.
He ran home on foot, straight to the mirror to check if he was seeing himself. His wife pretended not to see him which made him even more worried. He went to the bathroom took a shower, dressed up and carried a Bible. That's when his wife told him that it was a Monday morning and not Sunday.
Several months later he's yet to reveal what happened to him and where he was the nights he wasn't at home. He stopped taking alcohol completely, not even soda, just milk and water. He goes to church religiously.

LISTEN UP, MEN...
THE 13 THINGS THAT SECRETLY DESTROY A MAN'S DESTINY (And You Won't See Village People Among Them).
If you're between ages 18 to 34, this is the raw, undiluted thread you didn't know you needed.
Forget "who is doing you" you're doing yourself.
Let's go:
1.WOMEN, WOMEN, AND WOMEN AGAIN.
Yes, i wrote it three times.
Because most men ruin their future chasing a parade of lips, hips and empty thrills.
You spend your small earnings on women who don't care about you.
You sacrifice your time, energy and focus to impress girls who see you as a joke.
You think you're
"enjoying life"?.
You're draining your power.
There's no trophy for sleeping with 100 girls, only invisible scars and wasted potential.
Keep playing Casanova you'll end up as a broke legend in your own WhatsApp status.
2.GAMBLING THE CANCER OF DESTINY.
They say "you win some, you lose some.
"But with gambling, you lose more than just money.
You lose time.
You lose peace.
You lose your future.
That "one more bet" might cost you everything.
Sports betting, virtual games, casinos it starts like fun, then you wake up in debt, depressed and empty.
3.THE DRUNK MAN'S DESTINY IS ALWAYS DELAYED.
Some men collect salary and go straight to the bar like it's tradition.
Bottle after bottle, you're pouring your future down the drain.
If you drink more than you save.
Oga, you're not living you're leaking.
A man who drinks more than he builds ends up with children who inherit shame instead of success.
4.TIME WASTING IS A SLOW KILLER.
Want to know the difference between a king and a clown? Time Management.
While you're scrolling TikTok and arguing football,
another guy is learning a skill that'll feed him for life.
You don't respect your time?.
Life won't respect your existence.
5.FRAUD (AKA YAHOO) FAST MONEY, FAST MISERY.
You may not like this one, but truth doesn't need your permission to sting.
You flex today, buy Benz tomorrow but deep down, you know your soul is empty.
Proverbs says:
Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished.
You'll work 10x harder to maintain stolen wealth than to build it legit.
6.THE ADDICTIVE SLOW DEATH CALLED SMOKING & DRUGS.
From weed to crack to codeine name it, I've seen it ruin men.
Lost jobs
Broken homes
Mental breakdown
Financial wreckage
The worst part?.
The high never lasts.
But the damage does.
Stay away from anything that turns your brain to dust.
7.LAZINESS THE ENEMY WITHIN.
A man who loves sleep more than strategy will sleep through his destiny.
You're not broke because of the economy you're broke because you won't work.
You "hope things change," but you won't move.
Get up.
Hustle.
Sweat.
Build.
No shortcut will save you from the discipline you keep avoiding.
8.LACK OF SELF CONTROL.
A man without discipline is like a gun with no safety dangerous and self destructive.
You need routines. You need boundaries.
You need rules.
If you can't master yourself, you'll never master anything else.
9.DISRESPECTING YOUR PARENTS.
You can't curse the tree and expect the fruit to be sweet.
Fighting your parents, insulting them or abandoning them when they're weak?
It may not show immediately but blessings will run far from you.
Fix that attitude.
10.ALWAYS DEPENDING ON OTHERS FOR SURVIVAL.
You can't build a great life on borrowed energy.
Depending on people for basic needs kills your confidence and cripples your creativity.
Your job is to become reliable, not to keep looking for who to rely on.
You were not created to beg through life.
11.BAD FRIENDS SILENT DESTINY KILLERS.
You move with 5 jokers, don't be shocked when your life becomes a circus.
Your circle is either sharpening you or stabbing you.
Audit your friends.
Fire the dead weight.
12.LIVING TO IMPRESS SOCIAL MEDIA.
You post like you're balling, but your bank account is crying.
You buy iPhone 15 to take mirror selfies, but you have no business or investment.
Instagram likes won't pay your rent, bro.
13.EMOTIONAL WEAKNESS A MAN'S UNSEEN TRAP.
You take every rejection personal.
You crumble when things don't go your way.
You give up easily.
That soft hearted, zero resilience mindset is destroying your climb.
Life is tough.
Be tougher.
BOTTOM LINE:.
The devil isn't destroying your life.
Your choices are.
START DOING THESE:.
Say NO to distractions.
Master your time.
Work hard and work smart.
Cut off energy draining people.
Build yourself like a man on a mission.
Your destiny is not automatic.
It's built brick by brick with discipline, wisdom and honesty.
Stay focused!!!LISTEN UP, MEN... THE 13 THINGS THAT SECRETLY DESTROY A MAN'S DESTINY (And You Won't See Village People Among Them).
