MESSAGE
Death is not the end of life but rather the beginning of another life on another plane.

Existence is not terminated by the death of any human. Life will always go on directly or indirectly.

Some people are only relevant in their lifetime and are forgotten as soon as they are buried, but there are people whose relevance begins at their death. Bible figures like father, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are forever immortalized in our hearts and on the sand of time. Moses, the man of God, all the Prophets of old like Elijah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, are all written in gold, never to be forgotten, David the beloved king and psalmist of Israel, Paul and the other Apostles, and best of all Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Whose death made more impact than His life on earth. He died, leaving only twelve disciples but having over two billion followers on earth today.

I am particularly moved by the life and ministry of Prophet Daniel in Babylon.

TO BE GENERATIONALLY RELEVANT
1. You need to find out the specific area of your calling and gifting in predestination. In other words, discover your purpose from God and consequently pursue it until you make your own loud impact on your generation. Be determined to make a mark that will indelibly immortalize you in the hearts of every generation that comes. Such that you cannot be forgotten. Daniel became a generational figure that we cannot forget because he discovered and pursued his own purpose as a prophet to his generation.

2. Be passionate about your purpose. Stay on fire with your purpose. Men are driven by what they are passionate about. The proof of passion is dogged pursuit. And what we pursue with our lives is what we leave behind as a legacy for posterity.

3. Be deliberately passionate about your spiritual life. Labour deliberately to stay on fire for God all through life. God is close to those who make an effort to be close to Him. The Bible says
James 4:8 "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded."
Spiritual fervency results in an unbreakable bond with God. Daniel could not be stopped in his devotion to God. He was perpetually on fire for God. He would rather die than stay without praying to God for a day. He considered a day without prayers as death. He couldn't imagine himself living without God in this world. He was impeached because of his prayer life because that was the only weakness in his life!

Today, we are reminded of his indefatigable persistence in prayers that earned him a special place in God's heart. The only people God remembers are those who walk closely with Him.

ACTION STEPS
1. Find out your purpose in life.
2. Stick to it through thick and thin until you make your mark on your generation.
3. Maintain a vibrant spiritual life at all cost.

PRAYERS
Dear heavenly Father, Thank you for today's devotional guide. Oh Lord God of host, keep me as the apple of your eyes always and help me to pursue the things that makes for generational relevance with you in Jesus' name. Amen.

Today in Ilorin, I had the honour of paying a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) and Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq.

As Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, our discussion centered on ongoing reforms under my leadership which are aimed at repositioning State Legislatures for greater efficiency, autonomy, and impact.

I used the opportunity to seek the continued partnership and support of the NGF in actualizing these reforms, and also emphasized the need for alignment between Governors and Speakers as we work towards the success of the ongoing constitutional amendment process.

Governor Abdulrasaq’s reception and thoughtful engagement reflect his deep commitment to democratic development and institutional synergy across all levels of governance.

I look forward to a stronger collaboration between both bodies for the good of our States and the nation at large.

Earlier today, I also visited the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, where we shared insights on inter-legislative collaboration and the priorities of the Conference going forward.

ABUJA-BASED WELLS CARTON HOTEL CANCELS OPPOSITION COALITION EVENT TO UNVEIL ADC AGAINST TINUBU.

The programme, designed to formally introduce the ADC as the main political vehicle to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections, was set to host some of Nigeria’s biggest political figures across party lines.

The unveiling of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as the political platform for Nigeria’s growing opposition coalition was on Wednesday abruptly disrupted after the Wells Carlton Hotel and Apartments in Asokoro, Abuja, suddenly cancelled the fully paid reservation just hours before the event.

The programme, designed to formally introduce the ADC as the main political vehicle to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections, was set to host some of Nigeria’s biggest political figures across party lines.

However, on Wednesday morning, organisers were informed that the hotel would no longer be able to host the event, citing an unspecified “internal compliance matter.”

A screenshot of the hotel’s message posted by opposition politician and media figure, Dele Momodu, on Instagram read: “Dear Esteemed Patron, Thank you once again for choosing the Wells Carlton Hotel and Apartments.

“We sincerely regret to inform you that due to an internal compliance matter that has just come to our attention, we are unable to proceed with hosting your scheduled event.

“We are fully aware that the event is less than 24 hours away, and we deeply apologise for the timing and inconvenience this may cause.”

Momodu, reacting to the development, described it as another clear case of state-backed intimidation and political sabotage.

“The intimidation of opposition by a jittery government continues as the booking of a venue for the unveiling of the adopted party, ADC, by the coalition has been unilaterally and suddenly cancelled by the Management of the hotel due to what insiders described as fear of reprisals from APC operatives,” he said.

“But this will not dampen the daredevil determination of opposition forces who are poised to hotly challenge the ruling party.”

Salihu Lukman, a former APC chieftain now working with the opposition coalition, also slammed the hotel's management in a statement released via Momodu's post.

Writing on behalf of People and Passion Consult Ltd, Lukman accused the hotel of breaching a valid agreement.

“This is unacceptable. Your management has no right to unilaterally sabotage a contract validly and legally agreed to and fully paid for.

“You must meet the terms of the contract fully by allowing the event to hold with full compliments of all the services agreed to. This is not negotiable,” he wrote.

SaharaReporters had reported that top opposition leaders on Tuesday night adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as their new political platform.

They also nominated David Mark as the party’s protem national chairman and former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola as protem national secretary.

The announcement emerged from a high-level meeting currently underway, signalling a major coalition of political heavyweights ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Prominent leaders present at the meeting include former Rivers State Governor and ex-Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, former All Progressives Congress National Chairman, John Oyegun, former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, former Cross River Governor, Liyel Imoke, and former House Speaker and ex-Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal.

Others in attendance include influential political figures like Kashim Imam and other senior stakeholders from across the political spectrum.

Sources at the meeting described the development as a convergence of politicians from across party lines, driven by a shared determination to unseat President Bola Tinubu and dislodge the ruling APC in the 2027 elections.
