  • 'Let's Give Igbo A Chance'— Obasanjo’s Shocking Massage Over Nigerian Presidency

In the quiet of his Abeokuta residence, former President Olusegun Obasanjo sat with a delegation of southern leaders from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), their voices mingling with the weight of a nation’s struggles. The air was heavy with purpose as Obasanjo, a elder statesman whose words still carry the resonance of decades in Nigeria’s political arena, delivered a sobering diagnosis: Nigeria, under President Bola Tinubu, remains a nation in bondage, shackled by insecurity, economic turmoil, and the divisive grip of ethnic-based politics.

His voice, steady yet laced with urgency, painted a vivid picture of a country adrift. “We have had Fulani Nigerian presidents, Hausa Nigerian presidents, Yoruba Nigerian presidents,” Obasanjo said, pausing for emphasis, “but we have not yet experienced a genuine Nigerian president—one who represents everyone, not just their ethnic group.” The room fell silent, the gravity of his words settling over the visitors, who had come seeking counsel ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Obasanjo’s message was clear: Nigeria’s challenges—banditry ravaging communities, an economy teetering on the edge, and tribalism fueling division—persist because its leaders have too often prioritized personal gain over national unity. “Our problems will persist until we take action,” he warned, his tone a blend of frustration and resolve. He spoke of a nation not only failing its own people but also falling short of the world’s expectations, its potential stifled by a cycle of ineffective leadership.

The former president’s call to action was both a plea and a challenge. He urged Nigerians to remain vigilant, to stay engaged in the political process, and to hold fast to hope despite the hardships. “We cannot advance if we continue to cycle leadership based on ethnic divisions,” he said, his words cutting through the room like a clarion call. Nigeria, he insisted, needs a leader who transcends tribal loyalties, one who embodies the collective aspirations of its diverse people.

As the NNPP leaders listened, Obasanjo’s vision for a united Nigeria unfolded. He spoke of immediate measures to tackle insecurity and revitalize the economy, warning that without such steps, the nation would remain trapped in a pattern of stagnation. “The majority of political leaders today are not genuine nationalists,” he declared, accusing them of chasing power for personal gain rather than the nation’s welfare.

The meeting in Abeokuta was more than a political consultation; it was a moment of reckoning. Obasanjo’s words, delivered with the conviction of a man who has seen Nigeria through its triumphs and trials, left no doubt: the country stands at a crossroads. As the rain-soaked streets outside his home buzzed with the rhythm of daily life, his message lingered—a call for a collective spirit, genuine intentions, and a leader who can finally unshackle Nigeria from its burdens and lead it toward a future worthy of its promise.

  • Senior Lawyer, Ken Harris, has criticised suspended Senator for Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, for attempting to enforce a judgment she has already appealed, describing her actions as an attempt to “eat her cake and still have it”.

Harries made the remarks in a statement on Tuesday while reacting to Akpoti-Uduaghan’s presence at the National Assembly on Tuesday, where she reportedly attempted to enforce the July 4 judgment of the Federal High Court in Abuja, which had ordered her recall.

He questioned whether her conduct, which he termed “taking the law into her own hands,” was an appropriate or lawful way to enforce a court ruling.

“In all my years of legal practice, I’ve never seen such a blatant display of lawlessness from someone who is supposed to be a federal lawmaker.

“How do you storm the National Assembly with a group of partisans under the guise of enforcing a judgment?”

“There are proper legal procedures for enforcing court judgments. It is not for individuals to create a crisis atmosphere and claim they are enforcing the law,” he added.

Reinstatement: Natasha to challenge N'Assembly action in higher court
Harries pointed out that Akpoti-Uduaghan had already filed an appeal against the same judgment about a week earlier, in which she challenged its validity and asked the Court of Appeal to overturn it.

He questioned the logic of her actions: “How can you seek to enforce a judgment you have openly rejected, appealed against, and asked to be set aside?

“Even if the judgment was still valid and enforceable, has she complied with all the orders contained in it, including the payment of N5 million and a public apology published in two newspapers and on her Facebook page?

“If she has failed to obey those aspects of the judgment, on what moral ground does she accuse the Senate leadership of lawlessness?” Harries asked.

He concluded by urging her legal team to properly advise her on upholding the rule of law.

“Anyone who seeks equity must hands in clear hands.

It would be recalled that the Osun State PDP Leadership Caucus has in a communique signed by Governor Adeleke and twenty-seven other chieftains of the party yesterday decried the resistance against the planned defection of Governor Adeleke to the APC.

  • *Let’s stop pretending. Let’s stop covering our eyes*.

*Things are NOT right with our Youths*.

*Today, i read about a young man expelled from Babcock University-a teenager with a ₦100,000 ritual soap from a herbalist.*

*He borrowed ₦500,000. He became a drug peddler.*

*Not from a poor home. Not a street child. But a well-groomed boy from a comfortable background. Wetin him dey find? KILO NWA KIRI !!!*

*What is going on with our YOUTHS? Why this desperation for quick wealth*?

*What has happened to HARD WORK, INTEGRITY, and DIGNITY*?

*Last week, we struggled to find a tiler for one of our projects. We had to bring in one from Togo. Why*?

*Because our own YOUTH do not want to learn any skill*.

    *They don’t want SCHOOL.*
    *They want “HOOKUP*”
    *They want “YAHOO*.”
*They want to do nothing but SCROLL, LIE, PARTY and they want MONEY FAST*.

*And let’s be real. You cannot do Yahoo or Hookup without drugs or Alcohol. They go hand in hand*.

*My heart is heavy. Are we just going to fold our hands and watch this generation waste away*?

    *PARENTS! Wake up*!
    *Where are you*?
    *Why the silence*?
    *Why the complacency*?
*Why are some of us condoning and funding this destructive lifestyle*?

*Your child doesn’t need a new PHONE-they need PURPOSE*.

*They don’t need more DATA-they need DISCIPLINE*.

*They don’t need “FREEDOM”-they need BOUNDARIES*.

*We cannot keep blaming SOCIETIES, FRIENDS, INFLUENCERS. It starts from the HOME*.

    *Please, let’s start talking again*.

    *Let’s check their bags*.
    *Let’s check their hearts*.
    *Let’s check ourselves*.

*To every Parent reading this please be present*.

*Your child doesn’t just need your MONEY; they need your TIME and VOICE*.

*Ask questions. Don’t be afraid to dig deeper, even if it’s uncomfortable*.

*Teach values. Wealth is GOOD, but WISDOM, CHARACTER, and CONTENTMENT are better*.

*Be their safe space. If you don’t listen, the world will and it will feed them lies*.

*Let’s rise up and fight for the souls of our children. We may not be able to save all, but we must not give up on the ones we can reach*

*They are not just the future-they are our now*.

    _*Let’s not lose them...*_

*WHEN PARENTS FAIL – HOW LACK OF DISCIPLINE IS CREATING A GENERATION OF LOST SOULS*

There was a time when parents raised warriors. Now, they raise weaklings.

A time when children feared their fathers’ discipline. Now, children insult their fathers online.

A time when a slap from your mother could reset your entire future. Now, mothers watch their children twerk for clout.

The world changed—not because evil became more powerful, but because parents became weaker.

Children no longer have boundaries. No fear. No respect. No discipline.

    And the result?

A generation that mocks God, worships vanity, and embraces sin with pride.

    *BRUTAL THREAD:*

    1. *CHILDREN WITHOUT DISCIPLINE BECOME ADULTS WITHOUT SELF-CONTROL*

A child who never hears “NO” at home will hear “NO” from life when it’s too late.

The boy who was never told to control his desires will become a man addicted to sex, gambling, and laziness.

The girl who was never told to respect herself would become a woman who exposes her body for money and attention.

The child who was never corrected for lying will become an adult who deceives, manipulates, and steals.

If parents don’t discipline their children, the world will punish them later.

    2. *THE FALL OF FAMILY VALUES IS THE RISE OF MORAL DECAY*

    What happened to parenting?

Mothers used to teach daughters how to be women of dignity. Now, they encourage them to “secure the bag” by any means.

Fathers used to teach sons how to be responsible men. Now, they are absent—either too weak, too distracted, or too scared to lead.

So children are now learning from TikTok instead of home, and the internet is raising a generation with no fear of God and no sense of direction.

    3. *PARENTS WHO SPOIL THEIR CHILDREN ARE DESTROYING THEM*

Giving your child everything they want is the fastest way to ruin them.

A child who never worked for anything will grow up lazy and entitled.

A child who was never disciplined will grow up thinking life has no consequences.

A child who was never corrected will grow up believing they can do anything and get away with it.

Now, we have a world full of adults who can’t handle rejection, can’t handle failure, and can’t handle life.

    4. *WHEN PARENTS CHOOSE FRIENDSHIP OVER LEADERSHIP, CHAOS FOLLOWS*

Many parents today want to be their child’s friend instead of their leader.

    So instead of saying:
"This behaviour is wrong!" They say, "She’s just expressing herself."
"You must work for what you want!" They say, "Let me buy it for you."
"This is not acceptable!" They say, "I don't want to hurt their feelings."

And just like that, we have a generation of weak people who cry over small problems and break down when life gets tough.

    5. *THE NEW GENERATION LOVES PLEASURE BUT HATES RESPONSIBILITY*

    Discipline used to be normal.

Now, a child calls it "abuse" when a parent corrects them.

Now, teachers can’t discipline students because "it’s too harsh."

Now, young people demand freedom but reject accountability.

Everyone wants to enjoy, but no one wants to work.

    And this is why:

The streets are full of lazy men chasing quick money.

Social media is full of young girls selling their bodies for attention.

Homes are full of broken families because nobody was raised to be a good partner or parent.

    6. *WHEN CHILDREN LOSE DISCIPLINE, THEY LOSE THEIR FUTURE.*

Many young men today are addicted to masturbation, pornography, and cheap pleasure—because nobody taught them self-control.

Many young women today expose their bodies for social media likes—because nobody taught them self-respect.

Many young people today are broke, weak, and mentally unstable—because nobody taught them how to survive hardship.

The devil is not the problem. The parents failed.

    7. *IF WE DON’T FIX PARENTING, THE WORLD WILL GET WORSE.*

If we continue like this, the next generation will:
    Have no morals.
    Have no work ethic.
    Have no fear of God.

Society will collapse—not because of demons, but because of poor parenting.

    *BOTTOM LINE:*

If you are a parent, discipline your children.
If you are young, discipline yourself.

Because the world will not be kind to those who were raised without discipline.

    *Let’s raise warriors, not weaklings.*
*Let’s stop pretending. Let’s stop covering our eyes*. *Things are NOT right with our Youths*. *Today, i read about a young man expelled from Babcock University-a teenager with a ₦100,000 ritual soap from a herbalist.* *He borrowed ₦500,000. He became a drug peddler.* *Not from a poor home. Not a street child. But a well-groomed boy from a comfortable background. Wetin him dey find? KILO NWA KIRI !!!* *What is going on with our YOUTHS? Why this desperation for quick wealth*? *What has happened to HARD WORK, INTEGRITY, and DIGNITY*? *Last week, we struggled to find a tiler for one of our projects. We had to bring in one from Togo. Why*? *Because our own YOUTH do not want to learn any skill*. *They don’t want SCHOOL.* *They want “HOOKUP*” *They want “YAHOO*.” *They want to do nothing but SCROLL, LIE, PARTY and they want MONEY FAST*. We may not be able to save all, but we must not give up on the ones we can reach* *They are not just the future-they are our now*. _*Let’s not lose them...*_ *WHEN PARENTS FAIL – HOW LACK OF DISCIPLINE IS CREATING A GENERATION OF LOST SOULS* There was a time when parents raised warriors. *BRUTAL THREAD:* 1. *CHILDREN WITHOUT DISCIPLINE BECOME ADULTS WITHOUT SELF-CONTROL* A child who never hears “NO” at home will hear “NO” from life when it’s too late. 2. *THE FALL OF FAMILY VALUES IS THE RISE OF MORAL DECAY* What happened to parenting? Mothers used to teach daughters how to be women of dignity. Now, they encourage them to “secure the bag” by any means. Fathers used to teach sons how to be responsible men. Now, they are absent—either too weak, too distracted, or too scared to lead. So children are now learning from TikTok instead of home, and the internet is raising a generation with no fear of God and no sense of direction. 3. *PARENTS WHO SPOIL THEIR CHILDREN ARE DESTROYING THEM* Giving your child everything they want is the fastest way to ruin them. • TOUCHING THE LIVES OF ALMAJIRIS AND WOMEN ON THE STREETS OF JALINGO – A DAY OF LOVE AND IMPACT- ROHHI

Yesterday, As the Global Humanitarian Ambassador and Representative of ROHHI, i had the honour of joining the incredible Royal Hearts Humanitarian Foundation (ROHHI) family as we stormed the streets of Jalingo to bring hope, joy, and relief to two often-overlooked groups the Almajiris in motor parks and the women selling vegetables and perishable goods by the roadside.

It was a deeply emotional and unforgettable experience. We were able to distribute clothing and financial support to the women, and gave out slippers, little token, and words of encouragement to the Almajiris. The joy, prayers, and smiles we received in return were priceless. That is a true reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can light up hearts and transform lives.

Seeing people smile and bless God because of our little sacrifice brought tears of joy to my eyes.

Special thanks to our tireless and devoted Country Project Coordinator (CPC), Barr. Amb. Stella Ahijo Musa, for her exemplary leadership, and to our outstanding ROHHI Nigeria Directors, whose commitment made this outreach a reality. Pastor Ayuba Ardo Tijos, Apostle Caleb Dinki, Amb. Ali Saidu Yola, Amb. Aisha Bello Muhammad, Amb. Rukaiya, Amb. Fati, Amb. Affos Musa Peace, Amb. Tabitha Ishaya, Engr. Tony Matinjah, And my dependable Vice President, Amb. Abdullahi Hassan. • CHILD DISCIPLINE

There is a big lie going around today. Some parents say, “I don’t want my child to suffer like I did.”They say it with pride. They think it sounds like love. But they don’t know they are slowly destroying that child.

Because of that mindset, they refuse to correct the child. They don’t give the child chores. They don’t say “No.”They don’t allow the child to face consequences.
They say, “Let him rest, he’s just a child.”They say, “Let her enjoy life, she’s still young.”But they are not helping that child.
    They are damaging the child.

If your child cannot sweep the house, how will they keep their own home clean tomorrow? If your child cannot wash plate, how will they survive when they leave your house? If your child cannot say “Good morning” to elders, how will they work with people in the office?
If your child cannot accept correction, how will they handle marriage or leadership?

The world is tough.Life is not always sweet. You will not always get what you want.
There will be days of pain.
There will be days of rejection. There will be moments of “No.”

So if your child cannot hear “No” now, what will happen when life says “No” to them tomorrow? They will break. They will fall. They will run away. Some will even commit suicide because they were never taught how to handle pressure.

Discipline is not wickedness.Correction is not hate.Chores are not punishment. They are training. They are tools.
    They are preparation for life.

Your child must know how to clean, how to greet, how to wait, how to apologize, how to handle anger, how to respect people, and how to do hard things without complaining.

Don't make your child soft in the name of love.
Don't make your child lazy in the name of protection.
Don't remove discipline and expect them to succeed.
Don't raise them like kings and queens with no wisdom.

One day, you will grow old.
You will need your child to stand strong.
But if you didn’t train them, they will fall.
And both of you will suffer for it.

So stop saying, “I don’t want my child to suffer like I did.”
Let your new statement be, “I want my child to be stronger than I was.”
And that strength must start with discipline.
    It must start with training.
    It must start with responsibility.
    It must start with you.
