Davido announces white wedding date with Chioma Famous Afrobeat singer, Davido, has officially announced his white wedding date with Chioma. Those that recently passed away include Shaheed Huzaifa Muhammad, Tudun Iya, Katsina State, who attained martyrdom on Monday, 7 April, 2025, around 6pm in SARS Abattoir, Guzape, Abuja. It could be recalled that on Friday, 28 March 2025, around 2pm, the Guards Brigade unprovokedly attacked the 2025 Abuja International Quds Day held at Usman Bin Affan Mosque along Aminu Kano Crescent, Abuja, and during the attack, the Army killed 26 protesters and arrested 274, including 60 minors; this also includes 11 patients who are still being detained despite their critical health conditions. And up to this moment, the Army and the police refused to release both the detained protesters and the corpses of those killed by the Army.   It is pertinent to state that, the crime of both the protesters killed by the Guards Brigade and those being detained by the FCT Police is participation in the 2025 Abuja International Quds Day and demonstrating their support for the freedom of Palestine.   International Quds Day was initiated by Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979. Quds Day is a Global Day of Solidarity with Palestinians, observed peacefully in over 80 countries. The Islamic movement under the leadership of His Eminence Sayyid Ibraheem Zakzaky has been observing Quds Day for more than four decades. WHO WAS PROFESSOR CHIKE OBI? He died exactly today (14 years ago) on 13th of March 2008 at the age of 86. He was a hardcore believer in Biafra and fought on the side of Biafra during the war. He was an Igbo (Anambra) professor of mathematics. He was also a politician. He was the first black African professor of mathematics. He won the Sigvard Eklund Prize in 1985 for his work on nonlinear ordinary differential equations. He studied at both the University of London, UK and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. USA. He lectured at the University of Ibadan and the University of Lagos. He left Lagos to return to his root in the city of Onitsha, establishing the Nanna Institute for Scientific Studies. In 1997, Obi became the third person to solve Fermat’s Last Theorem after Andrew Wiles and Richard Taylor in 1994. He also found an elementary proof to Fermat’s Last Theorem. This work was carried out at his Nanna Institute for Scientific Studies in Onitsha. He had 4 children.

FG TO COMMENCE SOUTH-EAST, SOUTH-SOUTH SUPER HIGHWAY NEXT WEEK – UMAHI 08 April 2025 Minister of Works, David Umahi, on Monday, revealed that works will commence on the South-East, South-South super highway noting that the flag off of the project will be next week. Umahi, in a statement, promised that the projects would be completed within the stipulated time frame, noting that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is determined to complete the projects. While appreciating the cooperation and support of Nigerians for the Renewed Hope road infrastructure initiatives, Umahi assured Nigerians of delivering quality road infrastructure that will stand the test of time. Umahi insisted that the coastal highway project and other road projects across the country will have a positive impact on the economy and the overall development of the country. According to the former governor of Ebonyi State, the Akwa Ibom section will be flagged off on April 14 and 15 respectively while the Trans-Sahara Road spur in Ebonyi State will be flagged off on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Umahi said: “Federal Ministry of Works under my watch met in Lagos over the progress of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project; a game-changer for inclusive economic growth and progressive national prosperity. “This project will serve as a formidable evacuation corridor, boosting tourism, trade, agriculture, aquaculture, and maritime services”. “The highway will feature CCTV surveillance for enhanced safety and rapid response, sustainable infrastructure with minimal emissions, and environmental conservation through tree planting. “Under the leadership of Mr. President, we are determined to deliver awarded projects within record time. Gov Eno Constitutes Committee on AKWAGIS Law Ahead of plans for a law on the establishment and operations of the State’s Geographical Information System, AKWAGIS, a six - man committee has been constituted by the Akwa Ibom State Government. The Committee headed by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Uko Udom,SAN, has been given ten days to submit its report. Governor Umo Eno constituted the committee while presiding over Day Two of the ongoing State Executive Council Retreat in Lagos. The Committee was formed by the State government following a presentation by the Commissioner for Science and Digital Economy, Dr Frank Ekpenyong. Other members of the committee include, Commissioner for Lands, Captain Iniobong Ekong, Commissioner for Science and Digital Economy, Dr Frank Ekpenyong, Chairman of the State Internal Revenue Service, Mr Okon Okon, the State Surveyor General, Mrs Ime Udoh, as well as the Chairman of the Uyo Capital City Development Authority, UCCDA, Hon Anietie Eka. Upon ratification by the State Government, a bill on the establishment of the AKWAGIS agency is to be sent to the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly for passage into law.
