• GOD'S SINGULAR PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE

As you follow Jesus, God works in your life daily with one central purpose: to conform you to the image of His Son — not to make you happy, wealthy, great, or comfortable in this world.

God’s goal is to bring your old life to an end and replace it with the life of Christ. As Jesus said, “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect” (Matthew 5:48). Since no human can meet this divine standard, God transfers the perfection of Christ to those who are in Him.

    BECOMING A NEW CREATURE

God achieves this by crucifying your old self and integrating you into the life of Christ, turning you into a brand-new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17). From that point, when God looks at you, He sees Christ in you. This is the kind of life that pleases God — now and forever.

This is why Jesus warned, “If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown away like a branch and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned” (John 15:6).

THE GREATEST ENEMY OF YOUR SPIRITUAL GROWTH: SELF

The single greatest threat to this divine transformation is SELF — the fallen nature inherited from Adam, and the part of man that Satan uses as his strongest weapon.

SELF craves attention, comfort, recognition, and control. It is the remote control Satan uses to guide and manipulate lives, even religious ones.

This is why Jesus said, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself…” (Luke 9:23). Because SELF and CHRIST cannot coexist in the same heart.

SELF: THE ROOT OF SPIRITUAL FAILURE

Most people don’t truly want to deny self. Why? Because denying self means losing your worldly identity — becoming a nonentity in the eyes of the world.

That’s what happened with the rich young ruler in Mark 10:17-23. He loved Jesus, and Jesus loved him. But he could not part with SELF, and so he walked away sorrowfully. Not even Jesus' love could override his allegiance to SELF.

IN THE LAST DAYS, SELF WILL RULE

    The Bible warns:
“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self…” (2 Timothy 3:1-2).

This prophecy shows how deeply Satan will entrench SELF in the hearts of men, especially in the end-time. SELF will instinctively dominate thoughts, desires, and decisions — even in the church.

THE CHURCH AND THE AGE OF SELF

Many churches today operate as platforms that glorify SELF. The biggest and richest churches are often those that promise success, wealth, and influence — not brokenness, sanctification, or the Cross.

They rarely preach the message of The Cross because it requires denying self — and that’s “bad for business.” In contrast, the early apostles boldly declared the message of crucifixion with Christ (Galatians 6:14, Galatians 2:20, Philippians 3:18, Acts 14:22).

    WHERE IS THE CROSS TODAY?

This silence on The Cross has led to the lukewarmness Jesus warned about in Revelation 3:17 — where churches claim to be rich and prosperous, but are actually “wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.”

Today, many churches would celebrate the Laodicean testimony without realizing that Jesus is standing outside the door, knocking (Revelation 3:20).

    THE GREAT FALLING AWAY

As prophesied in 2 Thessalonians 2:3, a great falling away from Christ is happening. Jesus also said in Luke 18:8, “When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?”

Why not? Because the ocean of SELF will sweep away many believers who once started well.

    THE FAITHFUL FEW

In this perilous time, only a few believers will survive the onslaught of SELF. These few will be those who choose to walk away from popular Christianity and seek a direct, intimate, and sacrificial relationship with Christ.

They will hear the gentle knock of Jesus on the door of their hearts (Revelation 3:20) and open it, even though The Cross awaits them on the other side.

May you and I be counted among these faithful few who embrace the sufferings of Christ for the joy set before us.

Thanks for reading. Remain sober, remain watchful. Jesus is coming soon. God bless you.

  • This afternoon I was going through the record of one of my keke riders in my office.
He would be free this month and keke will officially become his.

I remember what happened before I handed the keke over to him.

One of my riders referred him.
So I told him to get one more guarantor since my rider already counts as one. We always ask for two.

He came back and said his “cousin” who lives on the same street would stand for him.
I told him to bring the guy.

    He brought him.
We vetted him, he signed the guarantor form, and left.
That same night, the so-called cousin called me.
He said he’s backing out, that he doesn’t want to be a guarantor again. That Infact the chukwudi is his neighbor not cousins

But that wasn’t even the part that shocked me.

    He said and I quote
“Give him that keke at your own risk. That guy is dubious. He’s a thief. He said horrible things about you.”
    I won’t lie, I didn’t sleep well that night.

The next morning, I called Chukwudi to the office.
I didn’t tell him what his neighbor said.

I just told him, “Your cousin doesn’t want to stand for you again.”

Omo this guy fell on the ground crying.
    The cry touched me.

Right there, I made a decision:
I told him, “I’ll still give you this keke. But if you mess up, I’ll get you arrested and you’ll rot in jail.”
And that I will use every means to get him.

I don’t know, something in my spirit just said, “Help him.”
And because the person who referred him is one of my trusted riders, I took the risk.

Today, Chukwudi is one of my best riders.
Not once has he owed me. Not even a day.

While checking his file today, I asked myself
What if I had listened to his neighbor?

That same neighbor called him a thief.
Imagine if I had let that comment shape my decision.

    This thing taught me something:
👉🏽 The person who will try to block your breakthrough isn’t always a stranger. Sometimes, it’s the person living next door.
👉🏽 And when you want to help someone, listen to your spirit not what people say

When I hand him the keke papers and keys this month, I’ll tell him everything.

I’ve kept this story for two years plus.

And honestly? I’m just happy I didn’t listen.
Happy that I’m part of his journey.
Happy that I followed my own mind.

Be careful who you listen to when it comes to people.
Not everyone that smiles at you wants you to rise.

Thanks @kelvin Onovo for this piece.

  • *She saved a Captured Mermaid at the Riger. 7 days Later, This happened...*

The mermaid tied to the tree lifted her hand, tears sliding down her cheeks.

“Please help me… they will sell me,” she whispered, voice shaking like dry leaves.

Amanda’s knees turned to water; every part of her said run.

But those wide, sorrowful eyes held her still.
Hunters’ laughter drifted closer—boots crunching the undergrowth.

    One heartbeat. One breath.
Amanda balanced a clay pot on her head and walked toward the river before sunrise. The cool mist touched her cheeks, and the dew on the grass wet her bare feet. She chose this hour because the path was quiet—no gossiping neighbours, no children splashing water, just birds waking up and frogs croaking in the bush. Amanda was a widow, living in a one‑room mud hut at the edge of Ajoa Village. She had two children, Dara and Kemi, and not enough money to feed them well. Each morning she fetched water, pounded cassava, and prayed the roof would not leak when the heavy rains came.

That morning felt like any other until she filled her pot, lifted it onto her head, and decided to take the shorter bush track home. Halfway along the narrow path, she heard deep voices and loud laughter. Three hunters leaned against a mango tree, rifles on their shoulders, leather bags full of traps hanging at their sides. Amanda greeted them politely, “Good morning,” and kept walking, but their talk floated after her like smoke.

“Ah, we are rich now,” one hunter bragged. “I still can’t believe we caught that captured mermaid near the river last night.”
Another slapped his thigh. “The big man in the city will pay anything for her. Mermaid scales bring plenty money.”

Amanda’s heart jumped. A mermaid? Caught by hunters? She hurried on, but their words stuck in her ears. She reached a fork in the path and slipped behind the tall bamboo, hoping to avoid the men completely. As she stepped through the grass, a small cry reached her—weak, shaky, and full of fear.
    “Help… please… someone help me…”
Amanda froze, set her heavy pot on the ground, and listened. The cry came again. She moved toward a bunch of bamboo shoots and peeked through the green stems.

A young woman—no, not a woman, something else—was tied to a thick tree trunk. Her wrists were wrapped with rough rope, her long wet hair stuck to her cheeks, and tears rolled down her face. But what made Amanda gasp was the silver tail where legs should be. Scales shone faintly even in the dim light. The hunters had spoken true: a real mermaid, captured, helpless.
“Please,” the mermaid whispered, lifting a trembling hand. “They will come back. They will sell me. Help me.”

Amanda’s first thought was to run. Every village story warned that mermaids lured people to watery graves. But the creature before her did not look dangerous; she looked frightened. Amanda looked around—no hunters in sight. Yet the rope at the mermaid’s tail and wrists was thick and tight, tied by men who knew knots.
“Are… are you real?” Amanda asked, voice small.
“Yes,” the mermaid breathed. “My name is Lira. Let me go.”

Amanda’s legs shook. She heard distant footsteps—maybe hunters returning. She stepped closer and touched the rope. The knot scraped her fingers, and fear pounded in her chest. Should she risk her life for a being she didn’t understand? Lira’s eyes, dark and full of pleading, answered her. Amanda pulled at the knot. It barely moved. She worked faster, nails digging, sweat starting to bead on her forehead.
Voices drifted nearer. “Let’s check on the catch,” a hunter said.

  • A certain teacher in a school wanted to motivate her students, so she decided to organize a test for them. She promised that whoever scored full marks would receive a brand-new pair of shoes as a prize.

The students were excited about this challenge, and each of them began to study and write with determination.

Surprisingly, after collecting and marking the papers, they all answered well and achieved the required full marks.

So who would receive the prize?

The teacher thanked everyone for their effort… but she became confused about who to give the prize to since everyone got full marks.

She then asked them to suggest a fair way to choose who would receive the gift with everyone's agreement.

The students' idea was for each of them to write their name on a piece of paper, fold it, and put it into a box. Then, the teacher would draw one of the papers in front of them. Whoever's name was picked would win the prize.

And so it was done. The teacher picked one paper from the box in front of everyone and read the name: "Laure Bashir" — she was the winner. She stepped forward to receive her prize.

Laure came forward, full of joy, with tears streaming down her face, while the teacher and all the other students clapped for her.

She thanked everyone and hugged her teacher for this amazing gift, which came just at the right time.

She had been tired of wearing her old, worn-out shoes, and her parents couldn’t afford to buy her new ones due to extreme poverty.

The teacher returned home filled with happiness… When her husband asked her about what had happened, she told him the story while crying.

He was touched by the story, but also surprised at why his wife was crying. When he asked her the reason, she said:

    > “When I got home and opened the rest of the papers, I discovered that all the children had written the name of that girl — Laure Bashir — instead of their own names.”

    Oh my God!!

The children had noticed Laure’s situation and came together like siblings to bring happiness to her heart…

It's a truly touching story of empathy, unity, and kindness.

  • At that moment in the thrilling match between Italy and Nigeria, Rashidi Yekini was racing toward a one on one with goalkeeper Pagliuca.

Maldini was the last hope to prevent a certain goal, while Costacurta, who had been chasing them like a madman, abandoned the idea of catching up with Rashidi and instead focused all his effort on sprinting at full speed to overtake both Maldini and Rashidi. His goal was to give Maldini the chance to foul Yekini without getting sent off.

Maldini, fully aware that he was the last man and mentally prepared for a red card, delayed the actual foul just enough to confirm that Costacurta had passed them.

He held onto Rashidi’s arm without bringing him down, afraid of the consequences.

And indeed, that’s what happened: Costacurta broke the “last man” line just in time, and only then did Maldini pull Rashidi to the ground. The foul was committed, but no red card was issued, and Italy avoided further numerical disadvantage after Zola had already been sent off.

Fractions of a second were all it took for the two defenders to communicate mentally and escape the trap.

  • He’s Finally Let It Go.
After 12 years of searching through trash, legal battles, and shattered hope…
James Howells has officially given up looking for the hard drive he accidentally threw away — one holding 8,000 Bitcoins mined in 2009.

Today, it would be worth $950 million.
By 2030, it could reach over $8 BILLION.

He once planned robot dog excavations and high-tech searches. But Newport City Council said no — again and again.

    And now?
He says: “If it was going to happen, it would’ve happened by now.”

    One man’s mistake.
One of the most expensive accidents in digital history.

  • SEEDS OF DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE BY DR PST PAUL ENENCHE.

    DATE: TUESDAY, 5TH. AUGUST, 2025.

    TOPIC: SIGNS OF THE END.

SCRIPTURE: This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good. 2 TIMOTHY 3:1-3

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: How you live on earth determines where you will spend your eternity.

The scripture made it abundantly clear that we are in the last days. Though God never told us categorically when the end would come, He gave us signs and signals that will help us identify the end of the age (Matthew 24:36-43). So, God did not totally leave us in the dark, because with these signs, we can know that the end is around the corner.

Today, we are going to look at the signs and signals of the last days.

    1. The abundance of deception and falsehood. Matthew 24:5 says, For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. Matthew 24:11 says, And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Now, one of the things that will indicate to us that we are around the end of age is the explosion of deception, an explosion of falsehood – many false prophets, false apostles, false teachers, false doctrines, heretic practices and operations.

When we came to the Lord many years ago in the late 70s and mid-80s, there were a few mentions of the phrase, “False prophet.” I cannot even remember anyone identified as a false prophet in those days. People were genuinely passionate for God. But today, there are people who have no dealings with Jesus Christ at all, yet they are parading themselves with all manner of titles. They don’t even know what it means to be born again. People who should have been native doctors or witch doctors are wearing suits and ties as pastors and preachers, apostles and prophets.

The challenge right now is that there are fake and false ones who are being celebrated as real and there are real ones who are suspected of being fake.

I once came across someone who said that she went to a place where she paid almost a million Naira for deliverance, healing or help, and at the end of the day, no solution.

    2. The abundance of conflicts, crises and wars on the earth. It was predicted in Scriptures, in the Sixth Verse of the Twenty Fourth Chapter of Matthew, …And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

There is an abundance of conflicts, crises, and tensions everywhere across the globe. Almost everywhere in the world you hear about wars and rumors of wars.

Beloved, everything points to the fact that we are in the last days. How you live on earth determines where you will spend your eternity. The question is, where would you be if the rapture happened now? where would you be if God said your time on earth was up? Think about it!

Remember this: How you live on earth determines where you will spend your eternity.

    ASSIGNMENT (S):
    1. Refuse to live in sin.

    2. If you have not given your life to Christ, do it now.

    3. Invest in things that will matter after time. Live ready!

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to live upright so I can spend my eternity with You at the end of time, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

    DAILY BIBLE READING: Isaiah 64-66

QUOTE: Our eternity with God is not guaranteed if our Christianity is not confirmed. Culled from the book, The essence of Christianity by Dr Paul Enenche.

AMAZING FACT: Lionesses will nurse each other's cubs if necessary.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Father, help me not to miss it at the end of the day, Lord in Jesus Name.

  • "Why is Charles Soludo so hurt that others have helped him? Is he suggesting that he had won the Nobel Prize in Economics and that is how Obasanjo got to meet and appoint him?”

Charles … was introduced to me by Ngozi, and that was the foundation of our professional relationship and friendship. As far as I know, it was also Ngozi who proposed his name for economic adviser and Oby (and her husband) took him to Obasanjo several times before he was appointed. If Charles is denying that this happened, that is fine. It does not change the facts!”

“Soludo’s Solution of Anger and Innuendo,” published on May 10, 2013

    Me:
At long last, he has betrayed the very Madam NOI who introduced him to President Obasanjo.

He is not a man of good character — more of a street brawler who picks fights indiscriminately. Though educated, he lacks refinement and dignity. He is, quite simply, Ikegwuru.

If you doubt this, ask Madam NOI, El-Rufai, the Obi of Onitsha, or the late Dora — his in-law and his wife’s aunt.

  • *I shut my office door and wept. I couldn’t hold back the tears especially after stepping into the female hostel, now overcrowded*.

*Every single girl under our care this session is under 25 years old. Some are just 12. And here’s what breaks my heart even more-none of these girls were rescued from the streets*.

*Every one of them was brought in by their own parents. While checking in bags at both the girls’ and boys’ hostels, we found paraphernalia-evidence of addiction, rebellion, deep-rooted pain…*

*This is not just a problem. This is a pandemic*.

*Let’s stop pretending. Let’s stop covering our eyes*.

*Things are NOT right with our Youths*.

*Today, i read about a young man expelled from Babcock University-a teenager with a ₦100,000 ritual soap from a herbalist.*

*He borrowed ₦500,000. He became a drug peddler.*

*Not from a poor home. Not a street child. But a well-groomed boy from a comfortable background. Wetin him dey find? KILO NWA KIRI !!!*

*What is going on with our YOUTHS? Why this desperation for quick wealth*?

*What has happened to HARD WORK, INTEGRITY, and DIGNITY*?

*Last week, we struggled to find a tiler for one of our projects. We had to bring in one from Togo. Why*?

*Because our own YOUTH do not want to learn any skill*.

    *They don’t want SCHOOL.*
    *They want “HOOKUP*”
    *They want “YAHOO*.”
*They want to do nothing but SCROLL, LIE, PARTY and they want MONEY FAST*.

*And let’s be real. You cannot do Yahoo or Hookup without drugs or Alcohol. They go hand in hand*.

*My heart is heavy. Are we just going to fold our hands and watch this generation waste away*?

    *PARENTS! Wake up*!
    *Where are you*?
    *Why the silence*?
    *Why the complacency*?
*Why are some of us condoning and funding this destructive lifestyle*?

*Your child doesn’t need a new PHONE-they need PURPOSE*.

*They don’t need more DATA-they need DISCIPLINE*.

*They don’t need “FREEDOM”-they need BOUNDARIES*.

*We cannot keep blaming SOCIETIES, FRIENDS, INFLUENCERS. It starts from the HOME*.

    *Please, let’s start talking again*.

    *Let’s check their bags*.
    *Let’s check their hearts*.
    *Let’s check ourselves*.

*To every Parent reading this please be present*.

*Your child doesn’t just need your MONEY; they need your TIME and VOICE*.

*Ask questions. Don’t be afraid to dig deeper, even if it’s uncomfortable*.

*Teach values. Wealth is GOOD, but WISDOM, CHARACTER, and CONTENTMENT are better*.

*Be their safe space. If you don’t listen, the world will and it will feed them lies*.

*Let’s rise up and fight for the souls of our children. We may not be able to save all, but we must not give up on the ones we can reach*

*They are not just the future-they are our now*.

    _*Let’s not lose them...*_

*WHEN PARENTS FAIL – HOW LACK OF DISCIPLINE IS CREATING A GENERATION OF LOST SOULS*

There was a time when parents raised warriors. Now, they raise weaklings.

A time when children feared their fathers’ discipline. Now, children insult their fathers online.

A time when a slap from your mother could reset your entire future. Now, mothers watch their children twerk for clout.

The world changed—not because evil became more powerful, but because parents became weaker.

Children no longer have boundaries. No fear. No respect. No discipline.

    And the result?

A generation that mocks God, worships vanity, and embraces sin with pride.

    *BRUTAL THREAD:*

    1. *CHILDREN WITHOUT DISCIPLINE BECOME ADULTS WITHOUT SELF-CONTROL*

A child who never hears “NO” at home will hear “NO” from life when it’s too late.

The boy who was never told to control his desires will become a man addicted to sex, gambling, and laziness.

The girl who was never told to respect herself would become a woman who exposes her body for money and attention.

The child who was never corrected for lying will become an adult who deceives, manipulates, and steals.

If parents don’t discipline their children, the world will punish them later.

    2. *THE FALL OF FAMILY VALUES IS THE RISE OF MORAL DECAY*

    What happened to parenting?

Mothers used to teach daughters how to be women of dignity. Now, they encourage them to “secure the bag” by any means.

Fathers used to teach sons how to be responsible men. Now, they are absent—either too weak, too distracted, or too scared to lead.

So children are now learning from TikTok instead of home, and the internet is raising a generation with no fear of God and no sense of direction.

    3. *PARENTS WHO SPOIL THEIR CHILDREN ARE DESTROYING THEM*

Giving your child everything they want is the fastest way to ruin them.

A child who never worked for anything will grow up lazy and entitled.

A child who was never disciplined will grow up thinking life has no consequences.

A child who was never corrected will grow up believing they can do anything and get away with it.

Now, we have a world full of adults who can’t handle rejection, can’t handle failure, and can’t handle life.

    4. *WHEN PARENTS CHOOSE FRIENDSHIP OVER LEADERSHIP, CHAOS FOLLOWS*

Many parents today want to be their child’s friend instead of their leader.

    So instead of saying:
"This behaviour is wrong!" They say, "She’s just expressing herself."
"You must work for what you want!" They say, "Let me buy it for you."
"This is not acceptable!" They say, "I don't want to hurt their feelings."

And just like that, we have a generation of weak people who cry over small problems and break down when life gets tough.

    5. *THE NEW GENERATION LOVES PLEASURE BUT HATES RESPONSIBILITY*

    Discipline used to be normal.

Now, a child calls it "abuse" when a parent corrects them.

Now, teachers can’t discipline students because "it’s too harsh."

Now, young people demand freedom but reject accountability.

Everyone wants to enjoy, but no one wants to work.

    And this is why:

The streets are full of lazy men chasing quick money.

Social media is full of young girls selling their bodies for attention.

Homes are full of broken families because nobody was raised to be a good partner or parent.

    6. *WHEN CHILDREN LOSE DISCIPLINE, THEY LOSE THEIR FUTURE.*

Many young men today are addicted to masturbation, pornography, and cheap pleasure—because nobody taught them self-control.

Many young women today expose their bodies for social media likes—because nobody taught them self-respect.

Many young people today are broke, weak, and mentally unstable—because nobody taught them how to survive hardship.

The devil is not the problem. The parents failed.

    7. *IF WE DON’T FIX PARENTING, THE WORLD WILL GET WORSE.*

If we continue like this, the next generation will:
    Have no morals.
    Have no work ethic.
    Have no fear of God.

Society will collapse—not because of demons, but because of poor parenting.

    *BOTTOM LINE:*

If you are a parent, discipline your children.
If you are young, discipline yourself.

Because the world will not be kind to those who were raised without discipline.

    *Let’s raise warriors, not weaklings.*

*Pls forward this to family and friends, especially to those with young and teenage children*
    *May GOD help us all.*
