• Bride price na Loan in Kumasi

AMA AND KOJO’S MARRIAGE DRAMA HIT THE VILLAGE SQUARE

This morning in Adukrom, the whole village gathered near the palm wine joint to witness drama that even Kumawood can’t act

Kojo stormed out of the house shouting, Let them refund my bride price! I’m done

Ama wasn’t having it. She came out, wrapper flying, shouting Refund? After using me like your house help for 6 years? Even your mother calls me ‘omo adwuma

    Kojo shouted back,
I paid GHC 3,000 and 2 goats. I want it back. Ok nah

Ama clapped, turned in circles, and said,
Ei! Kojo, with the way you’ve chopped my food, my body, and even used my towel till it’s tired you owe me extra bride price oo

An old man from the crowd shouted,
In fact, Kojo, let’s weigh your stomach before and after marriage. If you've gained weight, no refund

    Ama added,
If you want refund, bring back my youth, my flat tummy, and my peace of mind first. Gbagam

Kojo was silent. Even the goats were embarrassed.

Moral of the story: In Ghana, bride price is not a loan. Use wisely

  • THE COCKROACH's CHOICE

Three hungry cockroaches came to a farmer and asked him for food. He willingly offered them some bread and some cheese. They ate to satisfaction and saved food to take home to their families.

Upon leaving, the farmer told them,
"Listen roaches, instead of begging for food as you always do, why don't I offer you a job in my farm? We offer good pay, food, and protection for your families."

    The cockroaches asked,
"What work do we have to do, and how much salary do we get?"

    The farmer answered,
"There are four positions available in my farm, with each having a different pay. It's up to you to choose which of them you prefer! The worker whose job is to inform my chickens that food is ready gets paid $3,000 every month. The worker whose job is to peel and slice my garlic gets $5,000 monthly. The worker whose job is to chase pesky lizards out of the farm gets $4,000 every month. And lastly, the worker whose job is to sing and dance for my goats gets only $250 monthly. You can make your choice now!"

    The first cockroach exclaimed,
"I choose the $5,000 job! I want to peel and slice your garlic!"

    The second cockroach chorused,
"I want the $4,000 job! Let me chase the pesky lizards out of the farm!

The third cockroach thought for a long moment, then said surprisingly,
"I would prefer the $250 job! I want to sing and dance for your goats!"

For a moment, the two other cockroaches glared at her and thought she was very dumb.
"How could she have chosen the lowest paying job in the farm? Is she that silly and unreasonable?" they thought within themselves.

The following morning, the three cockroaches arrived for their first day of work. However, as they began their duties, the first and the second cockroaches died all of a sudden.

The curious farmer then called the third cockroach and asked,
"Tell me, why did you choose the lowest paying job?"

She took a deep breath and answered,
"Firstly, chickens favourite food is cockroaches- why would I choose a job where I have to go close to chickens? Secondly, the pungent smell of garlic can quickly kill a cockroach- why would I choose a job where I have to peel and slice garlic? Thirdly, lizards love to snack and prey on cockroaches- why would I choose a job where I have to chase lizards out of the farm? It's not about the money at all, it's about putting my life into consideration."

    LESSON TO LEARN:
Be careful of the deals you accept from people. Don't jump into every offer made to you. Don't be so blinded by money and material things that you refuse to pause and carefully consider the ramifications before taking a decision. Be wise!

  • Makena’s Dowry – The Price of a Brave Heart
Episode 2: The Trials of Kamau

The elders gathered at the village square beneath the mũgumo tree, their faces solemn. Kamau stood before them, barefoot but unshaken, as Baraka declared the three sacred trials.

Trial One: The Cursed River of Nyaki.
The river was feared. It whispered names of the dead and swallowed canoes whole. Kamau was to retrieve a calabash of water from its center by moonrise.

Makena watched him depart, heart thudding. By dusk, the villagers gathered, murmuring prayers. Kamau approached the river’s edge, whispered an old lullaby his grandmother once taught him—a song meant to calm angry spirits. The winds slowed. The waters stilled. With steady steps, he crossed on foot, as if the river bowed to him. He returned with the calabash full and the river silent.

Trial Two: The Leopard of Gituamba Forest.
This beast had terrorized farmers, killing goats and even warriors. Kamau had to either slay it or tame it. Armed only with a spear and courage, he entered the dense woods. Two days passed.

On the third morning, he emerged—not with the leopard’s head, but walking beside the beast, which followed him like a companion. He had removed a thorn from its paw, fed it, and shared his warmth through the cold night. The elders gasped.

“Even the wild bows to one with peace in his heart,” Baraka whispered.

Trial Three: The Question of Legacy.
Baraka’s voice thundered: “What makes a man worthy of a daughter whose spirit is bigger than a village?”

    Kamau answered:
“I do not seek to own Makena or silence her fire. I seek to guard it, stand beside it, and be warmed by it. I will build with her, not ahead of her.”

The wind shifted. Drums began to beat.

Baraka stood, eyes moist. “Then take her, not with gold, but with honor.”

Makena ran into Kamau’s arms. And as the village sang and danced, it was said that even the prophecy bowed that day, for Makena’s brave heart had found its match—not in wealth, but in spirit.

I want to peel and slice your garlic!" The second cockroach chorused, "I want the $4,000 job! Let me chase the pesky lizards out of the farm! The third cockroach thought for a long moment, then said surprisingly, "I would prefer the $250 job! I want to sing and dance for your goats!" For a moment, the two other cockroaches glared at her and thought she was very dumb. "How could she have chosen the lowest paying job in the farm? Is she that silly and unreasonable?" they thought within themselves. The following morning, the three cockroaches arrived for their first day of work. However, as they began their duties, the first and the second cockroaches died all of a sudden. The curious farmer then called the third cockroach and asked, "Tell me, why did you choose the lowest paying job?" She took a deep breath and answered, "Firstly, chickens favourite food is cockroaches- why would I choose a job where I have to go close to chickens? Secondly, the pungent smell of garlic can quickly kill a cockroach- why would I choose a job where I have to peel and slice garlic? Thirdly, lizards love to snack and prey on cockroaches- why would I choose a job where I have to chase lizards out of the farm? It's not about the money at all, it's about putting my life into consideration." LESSON TO LEARN: Be careful of the deals you accept from people. Don't jump into every offer made to you. Don't be so blinded by money and material things that you refuse to pause and carefully consider the ramifications before taking a decision. Be wise!

  • Stopping the fulani menace in Igboland: A cue from the Ohafia- Abiriba people.
The Ohafia and Abiriba people have successfully stopped the occupation of their forests and farmlands by the fulani jihadists by banning the purchase of cows for any purpose or celebrations. They use chicken, fish, and non fulani goats for celebrations and funerals. Their members who attempted to circumvent the no cow purchase are severely punished. They are heavily fined, and members of the community will not attend the event or touch the meat. Those that slaughtered cows in their componds for personal use are subject to the same rules. The fulani terrorists have left the area. What are we waiting for? Let every Igbo man encourage his village, town, or community to emulate the Abiriba and Ohafia people. We can't just talk about "stop buying and eating cows" without a means of implementation! Let's go and convince our people!!!

  • THE COCKROACH's CHOICE
    by Sir Mert Villanueva

• *THIRTY-ONE(31) SILENT FACTS ABOUT THE RAPTURE*...

    1. It is going to be the next greatest event that will shock all the continents of the world.

    2. It is going to take place suddenly, abruptly, unexpectedly, without warning and without prior notice.

    3. There shall be no second version of the event.

    4. A greater percentage of Christians may be taken unawares.

    5. Careless Christians who miss the event will have no other similar gracious opportunity.

    6. The event shall have no regard or respect for ecclesiastical titles or church leadership positions.

    7. It shall be a day when the sheep shall be separated from the goats.

    8. The day shall differentiate between the Broad Way Christians from the Narrow Way Christians.

    9. The day shall separate sincerity from hypocrisy.

    10. The day shall differentiate between those who harbour secret sins from those who abhor secret sins.

    11. The day shall separate those whose lives are hidden in Christ from those who are hiding in the church.

    12. The day shall show a glaring, clear, conspicuous, demarcation between Christians who walk on the path of holiness from those who walk on the path of worldliness.

    13. It shall be a day of double emotion: joy for some and unimaginable, indescribable, uncontrollable regrets for others.

    14. It shall be a day of surprises- some “Big names” may miss the flight while some “Less known” may be on board.

    15. Another surprise may be that a man or woman who had faithfully served the Lord for many years may defile his or her garment a few minutes before the sound of that summoning trumpet and miss the flight while a notorious sinner may surrender his or her life to Jesus within the same time frame and go to heaven.

    16. This event may happen now, today, this week, this month, this year or next year!

    17. Wise Christians, like the five virgins that took extra oil, are expected to get ready, yes, to get prepared.

    18. After the event, all those who are bitter against one another, malicious, unforgiving, jealous, arrogant, haters, hypocrites, drunkards, fornicators, adulterers, adulteresses, murderers with weapons and murderers with tongue etc, shall have enough time to continue in their trade.

    19. When the event is over there shall be revival among those who have chosen to stay behind not because there will be a second chance, no, but because the reality of the event would have struck them like a thunderbolt. But they will have to pay with their own blood.

    20. When the event is over, those who are left behind shall no longer be safe to worship in their gigantic, fanciful and multi-billion Dollars/Cedis cathedrals. Instead they shall seek safety in caves, bushes and abandoned and dilapidated but hidden structures.

    21. When this great event is over, each time those who will miss their flight manage to gather for worship, they will pay attention to only one sermon- whether they gather in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North or South America; the sermon will only centre on “How to Meet the Divine Standard and Join the Other Saints”.

    22. It is also worthy to note that those who will be left behind will never have any business with comedians at their altars anymore. No! There shall no longer be gatherings for entertainments. Whenever, they manage to gather, it shall always be for serious religious business only.

    23. The prayer pattern of those who will be left behind will also undergo a radical change. They will not be praying for things anymore. They will only be praying for strength to withstand the tortures of the Anti-Christ and die bravely to join the other saints. None will be praying for jobs, marriages, etc.

    24. It is equally worthy of note that some of those who will miss their flight will not be able to endure the torture of the Anti Christ. They will receive the mark of the beast and thereby be doomed forever.

    25. When the ready saints are gone, all our denominational walls of partition will collapse. The man or woman who use to worship in Deeper Life, for instance, will hide in the same place with those who worship in Christ Embassy, Church of God Mission, Assemblies of God, Word Aflame, Action Chapel, Winners Chapel, Lighthouse Chapel etc and nobody will remember to claim superiority anymore because then they will be facing a common enemy.

    26. When this event is over, each time believers who will miss their flight manage to gather anywhere for worship, there will be an atmosphere of sobriety. This rowdiness we witness today shall be no more.

    27. There shall also be a radical change in the attitude of those who will miss their flight towards Bible study. What we have now is an attitude characterized by a high degree of nonchalance and indifference, but when the ready saints are gone, those who will be left behind will begin to take their bible study seriously.

    28. All the teens and youths who come to church to please their parents will repent after this great event; yes, they will begin to seek God for themselves.

    29. When the event is over, all those who will do any form of business in the schools, hospitals, banks, etc, will have to bear the mark of beast (666) or be hunted down and killed like common criminals.

    30. One of the gains of this reminder is that there may be someone reading this piece today who will take a firm decision to ensure that he/she gets on board that celestial flight travelling to glory.

    31. However, one of the greatest tragedies of this reminder is that there may be someone too who is reading this piece today but who will see no need to heed this warning. A tragedy!

  • When it comes to cutting-edge technology... and grass, Google thinks outside the box!

Instead of using noisy lawnmowers, they hired 200 goats to munch away at the grass around their campus. It's quieter, eco-friendly, and honestly — way cuter.

Sometimes the best solutions are the most unexpected ones.

  • If you are hypertensive, don't pity healthy salts like Celtic or pink Himalayan sea salt

American Heart Association know what they are doing.

Now is the time to stop swallowing outdated dogmas.

It's just profit over people. Their priorities is not you —it's the dollar slips

Question narratives that villainize nature to sell pills only.

Seed oils are lab concocted, not food.

Fix the diet not the scapegoats.

Today is the time to shake the shaker otherwise you'd be eaten up.
