The lawsuit, marked Suit No: CV/1359/25, was filed at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja Judicial Division, through her legal team led by Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Michael Jonathan Numa. In the filing, Akpoti-Uduaghan alleges that Senator Nwaebonyi made defamatory remarks against her during a live appearance on Channels Television's *Sunrise Daily* on March 6, 2025. According to her, Nwaebonyi falsely referred to her as a “gold digger,” “habitual liar,” and “habitual blackmailer.” She contends that the statements were “false, malicious, defamatory, and actionable per se,” and that they have caused significant reputational damage and emotional distress. The suspended senator further claims the defamatory remarks lowered her image before the public, leading to embarrassment and reputational harm. Filed by Writ of Summons under Order 2 Rule 2 of the FCT High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules 2025, the suit was officially submitted on April 7, 2025. So I stumbled on this really sad news where a man had bea¥ his wife to death. Stories says that she already had two girls and gave birth for the third time... another girl and that's her only offense forgetting that what you put in there as a man is what you take out. He happens to be Igbo. So I remember recently I was talking with this highly educated Igbo Man who is my friend. His wife has 5 girls already and pregnant with a six child. And I told him jokingly, I know this last born will enjoy so much... with all these sisters to pamper him or her. And he said, how am I sure she's last born...it depends on it it's a boy. I said wow....so he will not stop giving birth until he has a boy child. He said to me...is that even a question to be asking him? He's a bonafide Igbo Man and what has he come to life to do it he doesn't have a boy child, so who will inherit all the fruit of the sweat and labour? It will just scatter with the wind like that?
