• BREAKING COALITION UPDATE

With pleasure and a great sense of responsibility, we wish to notify us that the National Coalition Movement has decided on and adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as the coalition platform for the 2027 General election.

This was decided at a meeting of the expanded national coalition leaders held on the 1st of July 2025.

The decision was a product of consensus among the leaders of the coalition movement and their patriotic sacrifice in the interest of the nation.

In what would go down as a historic move, HE Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, leading the Social Democratic Party (SDP) caucus in the coalition movement, moved the motion for the adoption of the ADC as the coalition platform while HE Peter Obi of the Labour Party seconded the motion.

Following that historic moment, Senator David Mark and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbeshola were nominated and ratified as interim National Chairman and Secretary of the party (ADC) respectively.

It is important to inform, especially our supporters and SDP members that members of the legacy parties, viz SDP and Labour Party, who have already scheduled elections to run, would remain in their respective parties for those elections and would be supported by the coalition movement in those elections.

We wish to assure all Nigerians that the coalition movement is a goal, exemplified by the spirit of selflessness, patriotism, and sacrifice exhibited by the leaders of the movement.

Please stay tuned for updates on further developments.

    God bless Nigeria.

  • Hello everyone,I will appreciate some advice please

I need advice as a working mom to a one-year-old. Currently, my mother is helping me take care of the baby. My husband and I have been married for five years and initially split all our expenses, from rent to groceries, 50/50. I earn about $4,000 more than he does. When we decided to have a baby, my husband was also starting a business with friends. He mentioned that it would be beneficial for our future and needed a $30,000 investment. I agreed, and while I was nine months pregnant, he took out a loan to invest.

As the business required more money, he took out additional loans without consulting me. I took maternity leave and had very little savings, while he provided minimal financial support because his money was tied up in the business. At the same time, he continued sending money to his family, including his unemployed brother.

After my maternity leave, our relationship deteriorated due to his lack of financial and emotional support. We began to argue continuously, particularly about my desire to have my mother help me as I found my mother-in-law unhelpful during my time at their home. My postpartum sensitivity amplified every little conflict, and my husband, who has anger issues, often reacted defensively instead of listening to my concerns.

Things reached a breaking point after returning to Qatar, where our arguments escalated over trivial matters. I refrained from involving my mother to avoid giving my husband further reasons to blame her. In the midst of this turmoil, I discovered he had been on dating apps and even caught him on a date with another girl while our baby was ten months old. He showed no remorse and instead blamed me for our problems.

Feeling increasingly isolated and emotionally unsupported, I decided to move out. Even during our separation, he initially shared half of the baby expenses, which included diapers, formula, and baby food. However, since I moved out, he has stopped contributing entirely. I now manage everything on my own—house rent, groceries, and all baby-related costs—while he comes up with excuses, claiming he needs counseling before he can share expenses.

On our baby’s birthday, he came to visit, begging to see the baby and brought a cake. I thought this might indicate a change in his behavior. I sent him pictures, which he shared with his family and friends. However, after a temporary ceasefire, he went back to ignoring any discussions about financial support. He cited the need for counseling again, but I could sense he wasn’t putting in any real effort.

I've even arranged private counseling, but after a date change, I forgot to inform him. When I did tell him, he accused me of lying. Now, again this month, he refuses to contribute to the baby’s expenses.

I don’t want to pursue a divorce; it’s a significant decision for me, considering how much I’ve invested emotionally and physically in our relationship. I feel overwhelmed and helpless, struggling to manage everything financially on my own. I have asked him to at least take responsibility for half of the baby’s expenses, but he insists that I need to come to counseling first.

There’s so much more to this story, but I'm reaching out to see if anyone knows how I can claim maintenance for our baby without going through a divorce. I live separately with my mother and baby, and I had hoped that he would change and offer real support instead of hollow words. However, I can't shake the feeling that his gestures, even on our child's birthday, were merely for appearances.

Thank you for any guidance you can provide.

  • The Role of a Music Director: A Sacred Responsibility

The work of a Music Director is not a task to be taken lightly or commonized. It goes far beyond what many see on the surface.

From waiting on God for the right song choice—amidst the sea of available songs or even spirit-inspired compositions—to scoring, rearranging, balancing sound, and guiding the team through the intricacies of musical expression, it truly is a labor of love and diligence.

Often, what the congregation experiences as a 5-minute ministration or praise session is the product of hours, and sometimes days, of intense preparation and rehearsal. Behind every powerful moment of worship lies a story of sacrifice, intentionality, and spiritual alignment.

Above all, Christ must remain the center—the focus of every note, every harmony, every beat.

And once the ministration ends, the process begins again—afresh, with fresh grace.

To all Music Directors out there, I salute you deeply. Your role is both spiritual and technical, and your labor is not in vain.

Please, I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences too.

    Shalom.

  • 9 STEPS TO TAKE BEFORE YOU QUIT YOUR MARRIAGE

God wants you to be happy in your marriage. He wants you to have a marriage without sorrow. God wants you to have a strong, consistent, stable and beautiful marriage. No matter where you are presently in your marital journey, I want you to know that there is a brighter marital future ahead of you by God’s grace.

    WHAT TO DO:

    1. EXAMINE YOURSELF

Examine your characters first and make the necessary corrections. You can't have the marriage of your dreams if you are part of the problems. You may need to replace some negative statements and give up some undesirable attitudes. Develop emotional intelligence by recognizing, understanding, and managing your emotions. Show empathy towards your spouse, and try to see things from their point of view.

Make amends where necessary. Do not be a difficult partner, be a peace maker and not a trouble maker. Make up your mind to improve, even if your spouse fails to improve.

    2. COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR SPOUSE

Marital harmony cannot occur without communication, and in situations where peaceful union is not possible, frustration takes over. Practice open, honest, and respectful communication. Listen actively, express yourself clearly, and make an effort to understand each other's perspectives.

Ask your spouse if there is any character he wants you to change to bring peace in the home. Create time to talk. To resolve the issue, get together and sit down. Instead of focusing on the personality, jointly address the underlying cause. Don’t apportion blame to anybody but apologize to one another in love. Use positive words to settle your disputes and disagreements with heart-to-heart discussions.

    3. GIVE TOTAL COMMITMENT TO YOUR MARRIAGE

Your commitment to your spouse determines the beauty of your relationship. A happy marriage does not just happen by chance or luck; it is deliberately created. Marriage requires personal commitment to ensure its success. The more you invest in your marriage, the more valuable it becomes. When you are committed to your marriage, you put in all your efforts to bring out the best in it. Getting your spouse to fall in love with you over and over again is easy once you have the right information and you apply it.

    4. WORK AT YOUR MARRIAGE

UNTIL YOU INTENTIONALLY WORK AT YOUR MARRIAGE, IT WON'T WORK! IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!

Married Couples that experience peace, joy, fulfilment, harmony, happiness and everybody bursting with the joy of the Holy Ghost, didn’t arrive there by accident. They worked at it and are still working at it!

The truth is that there are no trouble-free marriages. EVERY marriage has issues. Accept this and resolve to find a resolution.

God doesn’t favour one marriage more than another. He is ready to give you joy, peace and happiness in your home as long as you fulfil your own part of the marriage covenant.

    5. DON'T GIVE UP ON YOUR MARRIAGE

PLAY YOUR OWN PART! FIGHT FOR YOUR HUSBAND, FIGHT FOR YOUR WIFE, FIGHT FOR YOUR CHILDREN, FIGHT FOR YOUR MARRIAGE, FIGHT FOR YOUR PEACE, FIGHT FOR YOUR JOY AND FIGHT FOR YOUR HAPPINESS! KICK STRANGE MEN/ WOMEN OUT OF YOUR MARRIAGE FOREVER!

    DIVORCE IS NOT GOD'S DESIGN!!

    Don't quit on your spouse.

6 . INVEST IN YOUR MARRIAGE

BUY MARRIAGE BOOKS! ATTEND MARRIAGE SEMINARS. REGISTER FOR OUR MARRIAGE SCHOOL. Invest in your marriage to become the marriage of your dream. The more you invest in a marriage, the more valuable it becomes. Your marriage can be a model for other homes.

    7. FORGIVE: it is impossible to have a peaceful and long lasting marriage without forgiveness. Forgive and reconcile quickly anytime you have issues.

Develop healthy conflict resolution skills, addressing issues in a constructive and respectful manner. Practice forgiveness and work towards moving forward together.

Don't allow the devil to take advantage of your marital challenges

    8. PRAY

Pray to God about it. He is all-knowing. Everything is within his power. Ask God to change you as well, so that your spouse will be inspired to change as well. Ask for the grace to continue in spite of all obstacles, as well as the perseverance and wisdom to manage the situation. Destroy any evil forces threatening your marriage and ask God to help you bring stability to your home.

God is going to bring order back to that house. He will turn your struggle around and revitalize your marriage.

    9. Go For Counsel

“For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war; and in multitude of counselors there is safety” (Prov. 24:6).

Never wait till when your marriage is in a coma before looking for help. Both of you should Seek help from experts and be prepared to follow their advice.

You will not fail in marriage in Jesus name

  • Let's Talk Masturbation
Many of my friends have asked me to write about masturbation.
I remembered how I started writing about it. I wrote the first paragraph. . . I deleted it. I wrote another, I deleted. I kept writing and deleting.
It was as if I simply did not know what to write. Or, I knew but don't know how best to express it since it is such a sensitive topic.
Just few weeks ago, I was just going through my inbox messages, then I saw this message from a friend. After reading what he wrote. . .I felt again the urge to write about this topic.
This friend poured his heart out. He said he just needed someone to talk to. He said he is dying, that he masturbates countless times in a day.
He said a lot of things, how he tried to stop it many times but couldn't. . . How he feels so useless anytime he finish masturbating even though it will still not stop him from doing it again. Then, he told me how he went to church and the preaching was about those that masturbate.
He told me how the minister kept referring to Onan in the Bible. How those who masturbate are suffering from the spirit of Onan and in no time, the way Onan was struck dead by God, so also will they be.
    He sounded so scared.
Well, I know the story of Onan, you can find it in Genesis 38: 3-10.
Onan was a man whom in keeping with tradition had to take in Tamar as his. Tamar was the wife of Onan's late brother. His late brother died without having any child with Tamar, and so following the custom and law already stipulated in Deuteronomy 25:5-10, Onan had the responsibility of sleeping with Tamar while the children she will bear will be considered as the children of his late brother.
That did not go down well with Onan. So as Onan slept with Tamar, at the point of every ejaculation, he will slip out of Tamar and spill his semen outside her. . . This is what is taught today in family planning as withdrawal method. . .An immediate example that comes to mind is the love story of Daphne and Simon in the TV series called Bridgeton.
    Genesis 38:9
"But Onan, knowing that the line would not count as his, spilt his seed on the ground every time he slept with his brother's wife, to avoid providing offspring for his brother."
According to the Bible, Onan was killed by God for doing what he did.
And so when people use the story these days, they assert that to ejaculate or to spill one's semen outside of the woman is sin and God will strike the person dead. That was how masturbation came into the picture.
But again, if spilling of semen is the reason masturbation is sinful, what happens to women who masturbate but don't have any semen to spill?
What happens to men who, for no fault of theirs, wake up with wet boxers due to nocturnal emission or what is popularly called wet dreams?
So, the story of Onan does not address the issue of masturbation and added to that, the threat of death is not the God of the new Covenant.
For all those struggling with masturbation, you will remember how it all started. For most, it started with simple stimulation or touching of self. Then you read some half truth from science or psychology books where it was said that it is healthy to masturbate once in a while.
But now, you have moved from once in awhile to always. You have also added pornography to the list of addiction because masturbation and pornography are 5&6. More than anything, you now prefer the nude pictures of whomever you are dating more than the real person.
And that is the problem with masturbation: people are used as objects for satisfaction. Peoples' bodies are fantasied. Then the sex act is reduced to mere pleasure, though a selfish one. And many who are addicted still find it difficult to get over it even in marriage despite having their wives/husbands sleeping next to them on the same bed.
To this, I leave this post open for discussion. Let us talk heart to heart. Nothing to be shy about. . . You can be of help to someone by sharing how they can overcome their struggles on masturbation in line with our Christian faith. If you have a personal experience on it, or experience of someone's experience, it will be more helpful and you might just to uplifting someone.
Please be kind with your words!

Let's Talk Masturbation Many of my friends have asked me to write about masturbation. Genesis 38:9 "But Onan, knowing that the line would not count as his, spilt his seed on the ground every time he slept with his brother's wife, to avoid providing offspring for his brother." According to the Bible, Onan was killed by God for doing what he did. • *THE RESTORER'S DAILY GUIDE*

    DATE: FRIDAY 4TH JULY 2025

THEME: *POSITION FOR EXCEEDING GRACE AND GLORY*

    MEMORIZE
    Matthew 3:16-17
And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

    READ
    Isaiah 11:1-3
And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
    And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

    THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
*The greatest ability that the Holy Spirit imparts to believers is the ability to walk in the fear of God!*

    MESSAGE
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ which we are partakers of as His beloved ones, is not an ordinary grace, it is an exceeding grace, in that through that grace, the Son of God conquered death on the cross for us.

The grace that conquered death is an exceeding grace. Today with all our exploits in the gospel, many are still under the influence and dominion of death directly or indirectly.
Many are still sick, laddened with afflictions, weighed down by sin, and all manner of infirmities.

One who is weighed down by the infirmities of the mortal life is yet to experientially conquer death, irrespective of their deep revelation and great swelling words...

Jesus Christ lived an impeccably spotless life of burning holiness, even the devils bore witness to His life of searching purity and flawless character. He murdered death and ressurected gloriously and triumphantly over death and all its forces

That is exceeding grace! And only recipients of exceeding grace are candidates for exceeding GLORY!

*Jesus Christ remains the hero of all times!*

In positioning for exceeding grace, we must continually embrace the Spirit of the fear of the Lord that was mighty upon the Lord Jesus Christ.

He was in perfect sync with the will of the Father, because He was always doing whatever the Father commanded Him to do.

*And He was always obeying the Father because He had the Spirit of the fear of the Lord.*

This was why, God loved Him exceptionally and also preserved Him from death!

    Consider these two scriptures

    Hebrews 5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

    John 8:29
And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

The power that made Jesus to always fear His Father and to always please the Father in everything is the same power of the Holy Spirit in us today; however today's believers have perverted desires, lopsided dreams and base passions; they have quenched the Spirit of the Lord, and hence could not connect to His several abilities for conquest in their lives.

We need to be yielded to the Holy Spirit to connect to His sacred abilities in order to be pleasing to the Father in all our ways.

*The greatest ability that the Holy Spirit imparts to believers is the ability to walk in the fear of God!*

One who fears God has nothing else to fear!
The fear of the Lord is the ultimate, because it connects you to everything God has.

    Shalom!

    1. Thank God for your salvation experience and pray for grace to remain firm in the faith.

Dear heavenly Father, thank you for today's devotional guide, I receive grace to accept responsibility for my faith in you and to stay steadfast till the end in Jesus name. Amen.

They are five (5) important dresses a woman should wear in her lifetime.

    These are:

    1. School uniform
    2. Matriculation gown
    3. Graduation gown
    4. Wedding gown
    5. Maternity gown

Let your daughters know; That if any girl skips the 2nd dress, she will not get to wear the 3rd.

Daughters must not rush to wear the 5th just because a man has promised them the 4th.

More so, the 4th fits better and more prestigious if worn before the 5th.

Our daughters must learn to wait and follow the dress pattern from 1 to 5.

Be a good parent and Christian leader.

We have this as a responsibility to our Children as parents.

    And it is Very important.
