• Sometimes you find a song that makes you cry for reasons you can't name. The melody uncovers things you've hidden even from yourself. Music is a gentle thief, stealing the weight from your chest." (R.M. Drake)
When the Music Knows Before You Do...
Sometimes, without warning, a song begins—and before the second verse, your eyes are wet.
    You don’t know why.
    You weren’t feeling sad.
    You weren’t reaching for healing.
But something in the melody finds you.
There are notes that know your story better than you do. Harmonies that slip past your defenses, reach into the locked boxes inside you, and gently open what you swore you buried. A certain lyric echoes through your chest like it’s been waiting years to be heard. You don’t understand all the reasons why, and maybe you never will—but something inside you loosens.
Music has a quiet way of asking you to feel what you've avoided. Not with force, but with grace. It doesn’t demand that you explain or solve anything. It just sits with you, wraps around your soul, and says, "It’s okay to feel this now. It’s safe to let it out."
Sometimes, a song doesn’t just play through your speakers—it plays through your soul.
It steals the ache you didn’t have words for.
It reminds you of someone you miss, or a version of yourself you left behind.
It gives shape to your sorrow and wings to your joy.
You don't need to understand every tear.
You just need to let them fall.
Because sometimes the music is the only one who truly knows what your heart has been trying to say.

  • *REASONS WHY YOU'RE ALWAYS BROKE EVEN THOUGH YOU WORK HARD*

(Hard work alone no be enough. You need sense, strategy, and discipline to win.)

You wake up early every morning, hustle till your body complain, but at the end of the month, your bank balance still looks like an empty pocket thief struck. You ask yourself, “Why are rich like those guys?”

I get news for you:your habits and mindset does not sabotage your grind. Village people are not your problem, your own lifestyle is.

    1. YOU WORK HARD, BUT YOU DON’T WORK SMART
You hustle physically, you run errands, you do odd jobs, but you never think about how to multiply that hustle. You run like rat with no cheese.

Meanwhile, other guys are using their brains to invest small small, learn skills, start side hustles, build passive income.

Working hard is good. But working smart is the key to escape a poverty trap.

What to do: Learn skills that pay well. Invest in knowledge, not just sweat.

    2. YOUR MONEY HAS NO PLAN, NO TRACKING
When salary enter, you just spend anyhowly—no budget, no savings, no investment.

This is why every month, you are broke before payday.

What to do: Budget your money like a CEO. Know where every coin will go.

    3. YOU CARRY TOO MANY PEOPLE ON YOUR BACK
Your salary is not just for you — it’s for mama, uncle, cousin, friend, street people... you are playing Minister of Finance for everybody.

But no one does the same for you.

Reality: You can’t build wealth carrying 10 people. You must build yourself first.

What to do: Help when you fit, but put your future first.

    4. YOU’RE ADDICTED TO SPENDING, NOT INVESTING
You spend on luxury, new gadgets, slay queen maintenance, designer labels… but when time to invest come, you suddenly “have no money again.”

This lifestyle is a silent killer. You build others’ businesses, not yours.

What to do: Switch your mindset from consume to invest. Use money to grow assets.

    5. YOU LIVE PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK WITH NO EMERGENCY FUND
Every little emergency crashes your finances—no backup, no plan B.

So when things go wrong, you borrow, borrow, borrow until you fall into debt trap.

What to do: Save at least 3 months salary as emergency fund. Build cushion.

    6. YOU FAIL TO MULTIPLY YOUR INCOME SOURCES
Relying on one salary? That’s like sitting on one leg and expecting to run marathon.

True wealth comes from multiple income streams—business, investments, side hustles.

What to do: Start small side hustles. Learn to create money streams outside salary.

    7. YOU WAIT FOR MIRACLE WHILE DOING NOTHING
You pray and wait for miracle money. But no action follows.

Prayers without hustle andl procrastination with spiritual flavour.

What to do: Pray with your legs and hands. Action is the partner of blessing.

    FINAL TRUTH:

Hard work is important, but without planning, discipline, and smart decisions, you will remain broke.

Village people are not then cause of your poverty; your habits and choices are.

If you want to escape the poverty cycle:

    Hustle smart, not just hard.

    Budget and track your money.

    Cut unnecessary spending.

    Build emergency funds.

    Multiply your income sources.

    Stop carrying unnecessary financial burdens.

    Pair prayer with action.

If this post hit you hard, don’t just scroll. Change your mindset, change your life.

  • I was driving with my wife @nedokuti in the car, on our way somewhere, thinking about how funny life’s excesses can be. I asked her to play a rhythmic pattern on the passenger side dashboard as I started writing the song in my head, and I enjoyed the direction it took. The result is a lively and groovy song with satirical lyrics about how easily we can lose ourselves in our vices. The second verse reflects on this theme and aims towards growth and progress.
“Life As We Know It” short visualiser is also out on YouTube.

I’m happy to announce my sophomore album “Chapter 1: Where Does Happiness Come From?” Is coming out July 25th, 2025. Presave using the link in bio

  • "The 12 Secrets the Rich Don’t Want You to Know"

We live in a world designed by the rich, for the rich. Everything from the media you consume to the advice you’re given is carefully curated to keep you trapped in the rat race while they soar higher. It’s time to pull back the curtain and uncover the truths the wealthy don’t want you to know. Brace yourself, because what you’re about to learn may shatter every illusion you’ve been sold.

The first secret is that hard work alone won’t make you rich. Yes, they encourage you to hustle and grind, but they know the truth: the path to wealth lies in leverage, not labor. While you’re breaking your back working overtime, they’re using other people’s time, money, and skills to build empires.

Second, they want you to believe money is evil. The more you associate wealth with greed and corruption, the less likely you are to pursue it unapologetically. Meanwhile, they know that money is simply a tool—a powerful one that can amplify your impact if used wisely.

Third, savings won’t make you rich. They push the “save and invest in a mutual fund” narrative, but they don’t follow it themselves. They invest in high-risk, high-reward opportunities: startups, real estate, stocks, and businesses that multiply their wealth exponentially.

Fourth, the school system is a trap. They fund educational systems that teach you to be obedient employees, not critical thinkers or risk-takers. You’re taught to work for money, while they learn to make money work for them.

Fifth, tax laws are written for the wealthy. They know the loopholes, the incentives, and the strategies to legally avoid taxes, while you’re stuck paying a significant chunk of your income. Wealthy people own assets, not salaries, and assets are taxed differently.

Sixth, debt is a weapon—but only if you know how to wield it. They want you to fear debt, but the rich use it as a tool to acquire more wealth. They leverage other people’s money (OPM) to buy assets that generate cash flow and pay off the debt themselves.

Seventh, your consumerism funds their lifestyle. Every time you buy a new gadget, trendy clothes, or overpriced coffee, you’re putting money directly into their pockets. Meanwhile, they’re investing in assets that appreciate over time.

Eighth, connections matter more than talent. They don’t want you to know that access to the right people will open more doors than any degree or skillset. They build exclusive networks that perpetuate their wealth and keep outsiders at bay.

Ninth, time is their most valuable asset. They don’t waste it on distractions or meaningless tasks. They hire people to do what they can’t or won’t do, freeing up their time to focus on wealth-building strategies.

Tenth, the stock market is rigged in their favor. While you’re hoping your portfolio grows steadily, they have insider information, access to high-frequency trading, and the capital to manipulate markets to their advantage.

Eleventh, failure is their greatest teacher. They embrace setbacks as learning experiences and take calculated risks without fear. You’ve been taught to play it safe, but the rich know that big rewards require bold moves.

Finally, they thrive on your ignorance. The less you know about money, investing, and business, the more they can exploit your labor, time, and consumer habits to enrich themselves.

So what’s the takeaway, men? Stop playing the game they’ve rigged against you. Educate yourself about money, learn to think like an investor, and prioritize ownership over consumption. Break free from the chains of mediocrity, and start building your own empire. It’s time to outsmart the system and claim the wealth and power they don’t want you to have.

  • MY FATHER'S ADVICE...
    1. Not everything will go as you expect in your life. This is why you need to drop expectations and go with the flow.
2.Reduce bitterness from your life, that **** delays blessings!
    3. Dating a supportive woman is everything.
    4. If you want to be successful, you must respect one rule - Never lie to yourself.
    5. If your parents always count on you, don't play the same game with those who count on their parents.
    6. Chase goals, not people.
    7. Your 20's are your selfish years, build yourself, choose yourself first at all cost.
    8. Detachment is power. Release anything that doesn't bring you peace.
    9. Only speak when your words are more beautiful than your silence.
    10. Invest in your looks. Do it for no one else but yourself. When you look good, you feel good. Normalize dressing well, you're broke not mad.
    11. Some people want to see everything go wrong for you because nothing is going right for them.
    12. Being a good person doesn't get you loved. It gets you used.
    13. Don't be afraid of losing people, be afraid of losing yourself by trying to please everyone around you.
    14. Keep your move private. Don't announce it until it's SEALED! Premature announcements attract bad spirits. Best thing you can do is stop telling people what's going on in your life.
    15. For the sake of your mental health don't love too hard, therapy sessions are expensive. Also, marry when you're ready, not when you're lonely.
    16. Your thoughts are very powerful, make them positive.
    17. Social media will make you envy someone you should actually pity.
    18. Nobody owes you anything on your birthday, learn to save money and spoil yourself.
    19. That move you're scared to make might just be the one that changes everything. Do it. Move.

MY FATHER'S ADVICE... 1. Not everything will go as you expect in your life. This is why you need to drop expectations and go with the flow. 2.Reduce bitterness from your life, that shit delays blessings! Do it. Move. 20. Dont mess up your progress trying to rush the process. 21. No matter how thirsty you are, there are some people you should never ask for water. 22. Add value to your life, learn a skill, develop yourself. 23. Never love someone to the point where you no longer mind them hurting you. 24. You are your own best friend. Never ever, put yourself down. 25. Sometimes people come back in your life just to check if you're still stupid. 26. The sooner you figure out which chairs don't belong at your table, the more peaceful your meals become. 27. If you want to run, first you must learn to walk. Yes, the dreams are big, but you have to start somewhere, and doing something is better than nothing at all. Start small, stay consistent and watch it get bigger. 28. • I used to be womanizer – Actor Daniel Etim-Effiong

Popular Nollywood actor, Daniel Etim-Effiong, has revealed that he used to be a womanizer at some point in his life, but added that it was brief.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, the engineer-turned-actor recalled “exploring” with multiple women at the same time. He described the experience as a learning process.

He said he often advised young people to shun womanizing because it can affect their relationships and marriages in the future, stressing that it might prove difficult to quit.

Chude asked: “Were you a womanizer before you got married?”

Etim-Effiong replied: “It depends on what is your definition of a womanizer.”
Chude inferred: “A man who dates multiple women at the same time.”
Etim-Effiong: “Maybe there was a time in my life I was. Definitions would differ, but in that definition, maybe there was a period in my life that I was, I wouldn’t say for long periods of my life. Maybe for some certain periods that I explored. So, perhaps.”

Chude asked: “Was it good periods?”
Etim-Effiong replied: “Yes, they were periods of learning for me. If I learned, then they were good periods.”

Chude asked: “What did you learn?”

Etim-Effiong replied: “I learned that certain things don’t necessarily bring you the fulfilment that you think they would. On paper, it feels like that is the life, but in experientially maybe not.

“I tell young people a lot that it is cool to be a player but if you develop that habit or lifestyle, you won’t automatically change overnight.
“So, don’t develop something you don’t want to continue for the rest of your life. If you are not able to commit to one person, if you jump from one relationship to another, that won’t automatically change when you marry.
“When you marry that muscle hasn’t been developed so you encounter one challenge and you want to immediately jump or you just be like, ‘I’m talking to you, you are not listening to me, let me find somebody that would listen to me.’
“If you are the kind of person that before you got married it was easy for you to just walk away, keep different relationships, keep ladies on the string, that won’t change when you get married.”
