• erling Haaland : “In my first training session with Pep, I thought I would only learn tactics, but I discovered there was a mandatory subject called ‘Messi Lessons’. In the changing room, while Pep was preparing his plan against Real Madrid, he suddenly interrupted the conversation and said, ‘Do you know why Leo always scores against Courtois? Because he studies his eyes before penalty kicks.’ Then he added seriously, ‘Kick the ball where the goalkeeper can’t see it,’ as he did. After a match we lose, Pep shows us a clip of Messi crying after losing the 2014 World Cup and says, ‘Look, the legend himself cries when he loses, so why are you smiling after a defeat?’ One day in training, Pep made us play without touching the ball more than once, and when I protested, he shouted, ‘Messi used to score goals like this, and you couldn’t pass it.’ One day, Pep grabbed me and said, ‘Erling, the difference between you and Leo is that he loved football before he loved goals. When will you learn this?’ Pep doesn’t want us to play like Messi, but to love football like him. Reprimands, every training session, every lecture is an attempt to instill the spirit of that Argentine player in us. The truth is, Messi has not left Manchester. His spirit follows us in every training session.

  • “Daddy, your blood pressure is not spiritual. It’s swallow.”
Obiageli had never shouted at her father before.
    But that day, she did.
    The third time he slumped.
    It started quietly.
He would wake up in the morning holding the side of his head.
“This my BP is high again,” he’d say.
“Maybe it’s because of the stress… or the weather… or the landlord that came yesterday.”
And every time, he would reach for his drawer and bring out the Amlodipine.
Swallow it with water. Rub his chest. Sit quietly for a while.
Then he’d go back to eating his usual:
    —White rice.
    —White bread.
—3-4 wraps of Fufu with egusi.
—No vegetable. No fiber. No fish. No protein.
    —Just carbs, oil, and excuses.
Obiageli had tried to talk to him before.
“Daddy, this your daily bread is killing you.”
“Leave me, you that studied food, do you know how long I’ve lived?”
“It’s not the food. It’s this hard country. It’s our bloodline.”
He would say his own father had high blood pressure.
    And his grandfather before that.
So he just accepted it as fate.
But fate came with hospital bills and fatigue and ringing in the ears and a BP machine that was now permanently on the dining table.
The day it got real was the day he slumped in the kitchen.
    Not fainted. Slumped.
Eyes open. Hands shaking. Mouth drooping slightly.
    Obiageli froze. Then screamed.
    Neighbours ran in.
They rushed him to the hospital.
    BP: 198/112.
Doctor said: “If you didn’t bring him in time, he would have entered stroke. A full one.”
And even then… when he woke up, the man still asked for rice and stew.
    That’s when Obiageli snapped.
“Daddy, your BP is not hereditary.
It’s not that old woman that doesn’t greet you.
    It’s not the village.
It’s the plate you keep piling with rice and meat and nothing else.
It’s your body trying to shout louder than your excuses.”
He looked at her. Quiet. Tired. Confused.
“Then what do I eat, Obiageli? You want me to starve?”
    She softened. Held his hand.
“No, Daddy. I want you to live.
I want you to walk me down the aisle.
I want you to hold your grandchildren.
I want you to stop making your blood fight every time you swallow eba.”
    She taught him.
That it’s not salt that is killing Nigerians.
    It’s swallow 3 times a day.
    It’s processed carbs without protein.
It’s bread, biscuit, malt, sugar, repeat.
    She told him the truth:
—Insulin is what’s causing the pressure.
—High carb = high insulin = high fluid retention = blood vessels under siege.
    —It’s not prayer-resistant. It’s food-provoked.
And for the first time… he listened.
    Three Months Later
    He walks more now.
He eats eggs. Vegetables. Protein. He fasts.
He doesn’t wake up dizzy anymore.
The BP machine is still on the table — but it reads 128/82 now.
And sometimes he tells the neighbours:
“My daughter saved my life. Not with drugs. With knowledge.”
    Obiageli’s Final Words?
If your father is still blaming stress for his high blood pressure,
If your mother still thinks rice is harmless,
If your uncle is swallowing medication but never fixing his food…
    You better speak up.
Because stroke doesn’t care who you’re praying to.
    But food?
Food will either destroy or deliver.
Don’t wait till your loved one slumps.
Don’t wait till your own BP machine becomes furniture.

  • SEEDS OF DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

    BY DR PST PAUL ENENCHE

    DATE: WEDNESDAY, 16TH JULY 2025.

    TOPIC: THE GLORY IN CHARACTER

SCRIPTURE: And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men. (Acts 24:16)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your future is at the mercy of your nature.

In Exodus 15:11, after the children of Israel had crossed the Red Sea, Moses sang a song, ‘Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?’.

Please take note that the scripture says, …glorious in holiness… So, there is glory in holiness. If something must be glorious, it must happen on the platform of holiness. The connection between glory and character is irretrievable. Nobody can see the gloriousness of God except he operates in the holiness of God. Nothing can be glorious without character.

Now, what is character? It is existence with a life that is open. A man of character lives an open life like an open book. This refers to the character of transparency. In Acts 24:16, Paul said, And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men. As a man of quality character, who you are publicly is who you are privately. Who you are in church is who you are at home. Who you are in church is who you are in the office.

Please take note of these key thoughts.

    1. Your character is more important than your reputation. Your reputation is what people think of you, but your character is who you truly are. So, it is possible to have a positive reputation with a negative character. A wicked man may be smiling with everyone in his office, yet he is wicked to his wife, children and everyone around him. Reputation is what people struggle to maintain, but character flows unconsciously.

    2. Character is the sum of a person’s choices.
Fitz Walter once said that character is a sum of a person's choices.

Beloved, what decision would you make if you found money that was not yours? That is your character. What would you do if a lady or a man freely gave herself/himself to you for the sin of immorality? That is your character.

Character is the sum of your choices. The choices you make in life are a product of your character. And until you change your choices, you have not changed your character.

Beloved, it is necessary to pay attention to character development because character determines destiny. To have a glorious destiny, you must have a holy character.

Your future is at the mercy of your nature. Why was Esau not the carrier of the generational Blessing on the lineage of Abraham? His nature was a major hindrance to his future and inheritance. Your character is the limit of your destiny. Your lifestyle determines your outcome.

Who you are determines where you end. That is why they call us human beings not human doings. So, in all you do, ensure that you maintain quality character. Continue to work on your character because character is not a destination but a journey. You can be better today than you were yesterday.

REMEMBER THIS: Your future is at the mercy of your nature.

    ASSIGNMENT(S):

    1. Ask God for mercy wherever you have missed it.

    2. Deliberately continue to work on your character. You can still be better however good, and you can become good however bad.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to walk in righteousness. Let Jesus be my ultimate role model as I journey through this life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: DEFINING CHARACTER PART 4

    DAILY BIBLE READING: Isaiah 4-6

QUOTE: Until you are ready to change something inside you, you can change nothing around you. Culled from the book, Deadly Enemies of Destiny by Dr Paul Enenche.

AMAZING FACT: A lion’s tail is used to communicate its mood to other pride members.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Receive grace to have an outer life that is consistent with your inner life in Jesus Name.

  • HEALTH TIPS FOR TODAY
    1. Start your day with a glass of water.
Your body goes quite a few hours without hydration as you sleep. Drinking a full glass of water in the morning can aid digestion, flush out toxins, enhance skin health and give you an energy boost.

    2. Begin with something positive.
Wake up and do something that inspires you like journaling, walking in nature, or other hobbies. Whether it’s productive or relaxing, beginning your morning on the right foot can cultivate a positive mindset and set the tone for the entire day.

    3. Get plenty of sleep.
Sleep is just as important as eating healthy and exercising. From improving your productivity and concentration to helping support your overall health, getting the recommended hours of sleep per night can have a major impact on your wellbeing.i

    4. Get some fresh air.
Whether you get outside for some exercise or to read a book in the sunshine, you should take at least 30 minutes a day to get some vitamin D.

    5. Get moving throughout the day.
Try the stairs instead of the elevator, take short walks around your office or ride a bike instead of driving. Vigorous exercise is essential but moving throughout the day will keep you energized, as well as benefit your mind and body.

    6. Track your steps.
Tracking your steps will help you see how much you’ve actually moved throughout the day and may even encourage you to challenge yourself to reach a certain amount of steps every day.

    7. Give your eyes a rest.
Eyes become easily strained when you’re constantly focused on your computer screen. Reduce the risk of tired eyes by looking away from your computer for at least 20 seconds in 20-minute intervals.

    8. Eat real food.
Real food is whole, single-ingredient foods that are unprocessed and free of additives. Incorporating these foods into your day can help improve your health, manage your weight and give you energy.

    9. Snack smart.
It’s easy to mindlessly snack throughout the day, so make sure your snack choices aren’t weighing you down. Mixed nuts, veggies, Greek yogurt or even a piece of dark chocolate are all great options that will keep you feeling satisfied.

    10. Take your vitamins.
Multivitamins contain vitamins and minerals that are essential to your health. No matter how healthy you eat or what diet you follow, it can be difficult for your body to get all of the nutrients it needs from food. Research your options and find a multivitamin that fits your needs and supports your health.

    11. Get some alone time.
Spending time alone can be extremely beneficial for your mental health. Get to know yourself, figure out what you want and start living your most purposeful life.

    12. Try something new.
Join a book club, sign up for a class, start cooking. Try something new at least once a month. Making a point to keep learning throughout your life can keep your mind lively and engaged.

    13. Schedule your appointments.
Visit your dentist twice a year, make sure you’re getting those annual checkups at the doctor and schedule the recommended screenings for your age group. Make your health a number one priority.

    14. Make time for your friends and family.
Spending time with your friends and family may not seem like a top wellness tip but it is vital. Humans are social beings and rely on other humans to maintain their mental, emotional and physical help. Setting time aside to spend with your loved ones can help relieve stress, increase self-esteem and lead you to make more positive choices.

    15. Take care of your skin.
Building a daily skin care routine can help you maintain overall skin health or improve concerns like acne, scarring or dark spots. Find a cleanser, serum, moisturizer and sunscreen and give your skin the love it deserves.

    16. Limit blue light before bed.
The blue light emitted by your tech devices may be the cause of those restless nights. Put your phone or laptop away at least an hour before bed to set yourself up for a good night of sleep.

    17. Manage your money.
Money worries are oftentimes a big source of stress for some people. Saving for the future, home mortgages and paying off loans—it all adds up. Create a priority list for yourself and determine a realistic budget to provide yourself some relief.

    18. Practice gratitude.
Oftentimes, we tend to focus on what we’re lacking in life instead of focusing on the things that we do have. Start measuring your worth by your successes rather than your deficits by keeping track of the things that go well in your life.

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to be a daunting task. These wellness tips are small steps you can take to make big changes in your life.

  • Sometimes you're going to have to say goodbye to your loved ones.
Not for anything but for the fact that you'd need to find your own path in life.

At first you'll be unsure if you're doing the right thing, if you'll survive the harsh reality of life in independence. But once you realize that you want more in life, you're going to push every timid, scared little girl/boy inside of you and GROW UP.

Moving away from home is not an easy step.
We'll remember mama's food anytime we go hungry, we'll think of how daddy always paid the bills when we're behind deadline to meet up with our bills, etc etc. We'll even get tempted to go back home. It won't be easy. It's a tough journey. But we cope. We manage.
Cos we understand that we want more in life.
We are determined to pave our own path in life.
    To start over.
To set ourselves on a path of our future.

It's gonna get lonely at first, but you'll get used to it
Starting life isn't always easy but it gets better with time and turns out to be one of the best decision one can make.

Cos being able to shoulder responsibilities, is another way to shape you into responsible human beings....

It's gonna get lonely at first, but you'll get used to it Starting life isn't always easy but it gets better with time and turns out to be one of the best decision one can make. Cos being able to shoulder responsibilities, is another way to shape you into responsible human beings....

  • DUNAMIS SEEDS OF DESTINY DEVOTIONAL FOR 15TH JULY, 2025 BY DR PAUL ENENCHE

TOPIC: LIVING WITH ETERNITY IN VIEW

SCRIPTURE: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night… 2 PETER 3:9-10.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The end of earthly life on earth is the beginning of an endless life in eternity.

Genesis 1:27 makes it clear that man is an eternal being made in the Image and Likeness of an eternal God. The meaning of that is, everyone you see will live forever. To further buttress this, James 4:14 reveals that man’s life on earth is a temporary adventure, just a fraction of man’s overall life.

So, man’s life on earth is a temporary adventure. This implies that the end of earthly life is the beginning of an endless life in eternity. (Daniel 12:2). And it is to in 8 to to to either an everlasting life with God in Heaven or an everlasting contempt with satan in hell. The truth is, God does not desire for anyone to be lost in hell; rather, He desires for people to live with Him forever in heaven after their sojourn in the earth. In other words, God is not looking for whom to send to hell.

It is possible to hear some messages that sounds as if God’s satisfaction is how many people can end in hell. Scriptures make it clear that hell was not created for man (Matthew 25:41). Hell was prepared for the devil and his angels. It is only those who reject Christ and decide to end with the devil that will follow him to hell.66y But the point is, God has no desire for the loss of any soul (2 Peter 3:8-9).

Now, wisdom demands that we pay attention to our eternal destination, the place where we will spend the bulk of our lives.

That is why today, we are looking at what it means to live with eternity in view.

    1. It is living in the present with the end in mind. Living in the present with the end in perspective (1Peter 4:7). You are alive today, but the end is in your mind.

    2. It means living and conducting our life’s actions with eternity as a major consideration. Ecclesiastes 12:13 says, Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter, fear God and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of a man. For God shall bring every work into judgment with every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil.

Everything we do on the earth has eternal consequences.

    3. It means living in the now with readiness and preparedness for eternity. That is, you are not trying to get prepared; you are living prepared (Matthew 25:13, Matthew 24:44-45).

    4. It is living as strangers and pilgrims on the earth. This is living with the full knowledge that this world is not our home (1 Peter 2:11).

    5. It is living in the world without forgetting yourself in the world. Living in the world without forgetting your eternal and heavenly citizenship (Philippians 3:20).

Beloved, don’t forget yourself in this world because one day, the curtains of eternity shall be drawn, and the world shall end.

Remember this: The end of earthly life is the beginning of endless life in eternity.

    ASSIGNMENT(S):
    1. Live ready in anticipation of Christ’s coming. Keep your spiritual temperature high.

    2. Refuse to live in sin

    3. Ask God for mercy if you have erred and make amends.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to live on earth as a pilgrim. I refuse to conform to the pattern of this world. Draw me closer to You Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

  • I CAUGHT MY HUSBAND WITH MY BEST FRIEND, BUT WHAT I DID NEXT SCHOCKED EVERYONE.

    EPISODE 1

    FOLLOW ME Justina's Stories
My name is Loveth, and I’m 28 years old. I believed I had the kind of life every woman dreamed of. I was married to a handsome man named Dave, and I had a best friend named Sharon who had been by my side since we were kids. We did everything together—primary school, secondary school, even shared a room during university days. So, when I got married to Dave, it felt only right that Sharon would be like a sister in my new home.

Dave was charming and always full of smiles. He would help in the kitchen sometimes, take me on weekend outings, and randomly bring me flowers. Whenever I posted him on Facebook, girls would comment, “God when?” I always smiled and replied, “God did.”

Sharon was always around too. She would come over to cook with me, gist with me, and even help me when I was tired. If I had a small fight with Dave, she would say, “Don’t worry, he’s just stressed. You two are perfect together.” I trusted her more than I trusted anyone. She even had her own drawer in our house where she kept clothes, in case she slept over. I loved her like blood.

But something didn’t feel right after a while.

Dave started changing. At first, it was small. He began locking his phone with a new password. He would receive calls and walk out of the room to answer them. Sometimes, he would say he was going for a work meeting, but return late at night without smelling like work. Once, I called his office and they said he didn’t come in that day. I asked him, and he said they must have made a mistake. I believed him because… well, I loved him.

Sharon also changed. She stopped sleeping over and became more secretive. One day, I noticed she was wearing the perfume Dave got for me last Christmas. I asked her about it and she laughed, saying, “Ah ah, Loveth, am I not your sister? You can’t share perfume again?” I forced a smile, but my heart was whispering, “Something is wrong.”

The signs kept growing. One evening, I was sick and couldn’t go to the market. Dave said he would go, and I gave him a short list. Thirty minutes later, Sharon called me and said she was just passing by the market. I told her Dave had just gone there. She paused and said, “Oh really? I didn’t see him o…” But I could hear background noise—like she was also there. That day, I began connecting dots, but I had no proof.

A week later, something strange happened. I saw Sharon’s WhatsApp status. She had posted a plate of food that looked just like what I cooked at home the night before. Same plate. Same spoon. Same exact style. I asked her jokingly, “You’ve started copying my plating style?” She laughed it off, but my mind said, “Loveth, shine your eyes.”

    Then came the final straw.

One Saturday morning, Dave told me he was traveling to Lagos for a company seminar. He packed a small bag and left after breakfast. That evening, I cooked egusi soup and pounded yam and decided to surprise Sharon. I hadn’t seen her in a while, and I thought maybe we could talk. I didn’t call her. I wanted it to be a sweet surprise.

I got to her house around 7:30 PM. It was getting dark. I knocked. No answer. I called her name softly. Still silence. Something told me to check the door. I pushed gently—and it opened.

What I saw inside will never leave my memory.

Dave—my husband—and Sharon—my best friend—were sitting on the sofa, both half naked. Sharon wore only a short towel, and Dave had no shirt on. They were laughing and watching a movie. I stood there, frozen. My hands were still holding the food flask.

They didn’t see me immediately. But when I dropped the flask, it made a loud sound.

    They both turned.

Dave’s eyes widened. Sharon’s face drained of all color.

I wanted to scream, but no voice came out.

I didn’t cry. I didn’t shout. I didn’t even curse them. I just looked at them and asked in a calm voice:

“So this is what you both have been doing behind my back?”

    Dave stammered, “Loveth… I can explain…”

Sharon burst into tears, “It’s not what you think—”

    I turned away.

I walked out slowly. My legs were shaking, but I didn’t fall. I walked into the night, heartbroken, betrayed, and shattered. But as I got home and closed my door, I whispered to myself,

“You will not fight like a fool. You will fight smart. You will win, Loveth. You will win.”

And that was when my revenge plan began to form.

I CAUGHT MY HUSBAND WITH MY BEST FRIEND, BUT WHAT I DID NEXT SCHOCKED EVERYONE. EPISODE 1 FOLLOW ME Justy's Stories My name is Loveth, and I’m 28 years old. Whenever I posted him on Facebook, girls would comment, “God when?” I always smiled and replied, “God did.” Sharon was always around too. You can’t share perfume again?” I forced a smile, but my heart was whispering, “Something is wrong.” The signs kept growing. I asked her jokingly, “You’ve started copying my plating style?” She laughed it off, but my mind said, “Loveth, shine your eyes.” Then came the final straw.
