• 25 THINGS TO DO WHEN ARRESTED AND ACCUSED OF A CRIME IN A NIGERIAN POLICE STATION

    1. Stay calm and composed – Panic can make you say or do the wrong thing.

    2. Ask for the reason for your arrest – The police must inform you why you're being arrested.

    3. Request to see the arrest warrant if applicable – Especially for non-immediate arrests.

    4. Identify the police officers involved – Take note of their names, ranks, and stations.

    5. Inform someone you trust immediately – Let a relative, friend, or lawyer know where you are.

    6. Insist on your right to remain silent – You are not obligated to answer questions without a lawyer.

    7. Request to call your lawyer – You have the right to legal representation.

    8. Be polite and respectful to officers – It reduces tension and avoids escalation.

    9. Observe everything around you – Take mental note of the station, time, people, and treatment.

    10. Demand to be charged or released within 24–48 hours – As per the Nigerian Constitution.

    11. Ask for bail if the offence is bailable – Most offences are. Bail is a constitutional right.

    12. Keep your personal items safe – Secure your phone, wallet, and other belongings.

    13. Insist on a medical check-up if injured or sick – You have the right to medical care.

    14. Record or write down your experience if possible – Especially any abuse or illegality.

    15. Request a copy of any statement you make – It’s your right. Don't sign what you didn’t say.

    16. Complain to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) if maltreated – You can escalate within the station.

    17. Contact a human rights or legal aid organization – Especially if your rights are being violated.

    18. Be observant about any potential witnesses around – They might be helpful later.

    19. Ask for the name and details of your case officer – For follow-up and accountability.

    20. Stay truthful and consistent in what you say – Lies can complicate your case.

    21. Request to know your offence classification (bailable or non-bailable) – This determines your next step.

    22. Stay mentally strong and prayerful – It helps you stay alert and resilient.

    23. Report any demand for bribes to higher authorities – You can also report anonymously later.

    24. Request proper documentation for your detention or bail – Never leave without it.

    25. Remain hopeful and proactive about your defence – Being accused isn’t the end.

    17. Do not post about your arrest on social media immediately – It can affect your case.

    18. Do not insult or mock the police station or officers – It’s risky and unnecessary.

    19. Do not carry drugs or weapons to the station – Even unintentionally, it’s a serious offence.

    20. Do not try to run your mouth to show you “know people” – It can backfire.

    21. Do not refuse bail terms without understanding them – Ask your lawyer to review first.

    22. Do not let fear control you – Fear leads to poor decisions.

    23. Do not allow unknown persons to stand as surety – Always use credible and known people.

    24. Do not exaggerate or fabricate stories – Stick to the facts.

    25. Do not forget to follow up on your case after release – Unattended cases can turn against you later.

  • A man named Richard Verone walked into a bank in North Carolina, handed the teller a note demanding $1, and then calmly sat down to wait for the police. Why? Because he was desperate for medical care and saw prison as his only option to get treatment.

He had a growth in his chest and other health issues, but no job, no insurance, and no way to pay for a doctor. So he made a heartbreaking decision — get arrested so he could finally see a physician in jail.

He didn’t want to hurt anyone. He didn’t want money. He just wanted help.

It’s a sobering reminder of how badly the system can fail people. No one should have to commit a crime just to see a doctor. No one.

  • Names, faces behind CBEX fraud unveiled as Nigerians lose ₦1.3 trillion

Investigations by FIJ have revealed the faces of key individuals behind CryptoBridge Exchange (CBEX), a fraudulent investment scheme that scammed Nigerians out of an estimated N1.3 trillion.

CBEX, initially marketed as a quick way to make money without economic value, crashed in April, leaving investors devastated.

As reports emerged, many were unable to access their profile dashboards, confirming the scheme’s collapse.

Despite the growing evidence, many remained in denial until it became clear that their funds had been locked away.

Following the crash, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) launched an investigation into CBEX, vowing to recover the lost funds.

Additionally, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) confirmed that CBEX was unlicensed, having never received approval to operate within Nigeria’s capital market.

FIJ’s investigation has identified several individuals who played major roles in promoting the scheme. CBEX was linked to ST Investment Co., Ltd., owned by Harold David Charles, a 55-year-old Briton.
Charles, presented as a wealth management expert, introduced CBEX to Nigeria through media campaigns in January 2023.

The company itself was not registered, although its affiliate, ST Technologies International, was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and issued an anti-money laundering certificate.

The scheme’s other affiliates included Smart Treasure and Super Technology—dubious names with a consistent use of “S.T.”
Among the identified promoters are Adefowora Abiodun and Oluwanisola Adefowora, whose close association suggests they may be siblings or a couple. Other key figures include Seyi Oloyede and Emmanuel Uko.

While the promoters continue to evade questions, investigations into their operations continue.

The aftermath of CBEX’s collapse has left many investors grappling with financial losses, and authorities are working to bring those responsible to justice

    April 17, 2025

We believe that relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia are beneficial for both countries and that the two countries can add to each other.

There are some who show enmity to the expansion of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia. We must overcome their hostile motives, and we are prepared in this regard.

In the areas where the Islamic Republic of Iran has made progress, it’s prepared to assist Saudi Arabia.

It’s much better if the brothers in the West Asian region cooperate and assist each other instead of depending on others.

  • The Web 3 space is very wide. If it were to be studied in college, it would be a Faculty, not a department or discipline.

Some are Project managers; others are KOLs, some others are traders, and others hunt jobs and do discord and GC moderations. Some are NFT traders, others are Spot traders, some are long-term investors, some are Airdrop hunters, some other people provide liquidity to LPs, while others are founders and builders.

They all make money, and they all have plans and ways to make money. So why would an Airdrop hunter be mocking a trader and vice versa?

    "#TON influencers has been paid."

Shouldn't KOLs be paid for their services? If the TON foundation sees that some people have been full supporters of their chain and wants to incentivize them, what exactly on earth is wrong with that?

On what country's laws is that a crime that an influencer is incentivized for his contribution to a project or chain?

What combat are people fighting against each other?

Can everyone be a trader, an Airdrop farmer, or a KOL? No!

We can be one or 2 things and master them. Let all the monkeys sit on their branches.

If you figured out a way to make money and it works for you, make it; if you are generous enough, share it with others. If you are a very good person, share it with the people you believe don't make money instead of mocking people's legitimate hustle.

Why not text or call them and be like, "Hey, I think you could make more money doing this or that?" and see if they help themselves?

What's all the constant need to feel more important than others and the constant need for public validation and making enemies out of thin air that doesn't exist?

Why not let people live their lives if you can't impact them positively?

Why is everything in your heads US vs Them or Me vs Him?

  • Stop babysitting that stubborn belly fat!

You’re not managing it—you’re enabling it.

    Unfat! Seriously.

It’s a crime against your own body.

You’ve been stripped of control—your health hijacked.

    That beer belly?
It’s not just a protrusion. It’s a ticking time bomb waiting to explode in ways you least expect.

And forget the “low-fat” nonsense they serve you from the mainstream.

That’s outdated 1970s propaganda—keep it in the past where it belongs.

    Wait a moment,
Just imagine Insulin resistance hugging Papa Sadé like a long-lost friend,

while Mama Sadé fades quietly into the background.

    And we call it normal?

    No. It’s not normal.

It’s sad and the worst of all is that these patterns are unconsciously handed over to your kids while they embrace it out of ignorance.

    But here’s the good news:

You’ve got the power because you've been empowered.

    Reclaim your health Now.
Otherwise, you'd learn the hard way I must tell.

  • Wilayatul Faqih NG :
While many, including ourselves, have criticisms of the usefulness of negotiations with the US, such criticism should always be constructive and never weaken the Islamic Republic through slander, such as painting the Leader as a powerless figurehead who has been overridden by the liberal fifth column.

No criticism should be made in a way weaken the Islamic Republic, which Haj Qassem called a shrine (a holy sanctity that must be protected).

According to this clip from late Ayatollah Fateminia (ra), weakening the Islamic Republic is the gravest sin, worse than alcohol, which only affect a handful of individuals.

The liberals were about to arrange direct negotiations with the US which would put all subjects on deck, including missile programs and support for resistance groups, until the Leader put his foot down. These negotiations would not happen without his approval or oversight, therefore he approved indirect negotiations where none of Iran's red lines are even up for discussion. This caused the US to make great concessions, because otherwise the meeting would have been canceled prior or cut halfway through.

There are certain voices who are trying to paint the Leader as a weak, powerless figurehead who has been sidelined. This is a grave fitna, because the Zionist Jews and the liberal imperialists have tapped out their customer base when it comes to getting an obnoxious minority of ultra-liberals to withdraw their support and confidence from the Islamic Republic. The next frontier is getting religious revolutionaries to lose confidence and pull their support from the Islamic Republic.

There are certain voices who have gone so far to label Iran as a Jewish Republic due to this. Should we reveal that one of these voices is hiding his fully Jewish identity while claiming to be another ethnicity? Wouldn't be ironic that such a person who goes around calling everyone a Jew agent and Jew simp is of a fully Jewish background which he hides similar to Dan Burros, the Jewish man who hid his identity to rise to the top of the KKK and American Nazi Party in the 1950s and 60s?

Whatever criticisms there are to make against "reformists," the LAST person that should do it is someone who is hiding their Jewish identity. Now, the issue is that it is hidden. In Islam, we have no problem with what someone is born into, so long as they are sincere. We have martyrs, such as Edoardo Agnelli (ra), whose mother was one of the most powerful Jewish women in Italy. Hiding and lying about it, however, raises obvious red flags. We're open to the possibility that there is a totally innocent reason for such hiding, and will apologize profusely if this is proven to be the case, but with such fitnamongering, we aren't holding our breath. A person whose origins are under question should keep their mouth shut regarding Iranian internal issues, painting the Leader as weak and powerless in the name of claiming to love the Leader and the revolution.

Now, we won't name who this is. There is an escalation ladder. Want to keep up the charade? Stop the fitna against the Leader and stay in your lane. Want to try and slander us? The moment we hear anything, the floodgates of truth will open. Want to try and quietly kill us for "knowing too much"? Our families are instructed to tell the truth about this questionable character even if we die from natural causes or even from slipping on a banana peel, so pray for us to have a long life to maximize the length of the charade because no matter what is done to us, the truth will come out one day.

Stop the fitna and spreading pessimism about the Islamic Republic, and the escalation ladder will stay where it is. However, that is what is within our own power. We cannot stop that other people might do a simple internet search to find out that the people spreading fitna to get religious revolutionaries to lose hope in the Leader and stop supporting the Islamic Republic is a bit gefilte fishy himself.

We fear no one but God and will expose any questionable character if need be to protect our Leader. Do not test us.

☠ Warrant Officer G’haleb Sliman Alnasasra, 35, a tracker in the “Gaza Division’s Northern Brigade”.

According to an initial ZOF probe, at 12:58 p.m., a group of ZOF terrorists driving along a ZOF logistics road, close to an army encampment inside Gaza, came under fire by the brave Palestinian Resistance mujahideen, who had come out of a tunnel shaft, launched an RPG at the #Zionist army vehicle.

Three ZOF terrorists of the 414th Combat Intelligence Collection Unit were wounded in the attack. Two of them, an officer and a combat medic, are listed in serious condition.

A short while later, Zionist rescue forces led by the commander of the “Gaza Division’s Northern Brigade”, Omri Mashiah, reached the scene, along with trackers from the brigade.

At 1:25 p.m., Palestinian mujahideen set off an explosive device on the side of a road, near the rescue forces, eliminating Alnasasra and wounding two other trackers, including one seriously.

A total of 848 ZOF terrorists have been eliminated since 7th October 2023, according to ZOF data.

/ NEW: Iran's 2,000 kilometer range 'Sepehr' OTH Radar has finally become operational, satellite imagery seems to confirm

The radar array is one of Iran's most advanced over-the-horizon radars, more than 1,5 kilometers in length. It can detect takeoffs of individual aircraft or ballistic missile launches at a range of up to 2,000 kilometers, including inside the entirety of Israel.

Only a handful of countries have mastered such advanced OTH radar technology, and the radar provides Iran with valuable early warning of an imminent attack.

🇳🇬 Wilayatul Faqih NG 🇮🇷: While many, including ourselves, have criticisms of the usefulness of negotiations with the US, such criticism should always be constructive and never weaken the Islamic Republic through slander, such as painting the Leader as a powerless figurehead who has been overridden by the liberal fifth column. 📸 Imam Khamenei met with commanders of Armed Forces on the occasion of the Iranian New Year A group of commanders from the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Armed Forces met with Imam Khamenei, the Commander-in-Chief, on Sunday afternoon, April 13, 2025, on the occasion of the Iranian New Year. 📲 KHAMENEI.IR | 𝕏 (Official) | 𝕏 (Website) ✅ @Khamenei_en ‍📸 The #ZOF 🏴‍☠ (“iDF” aka iOF) terrorist organization admits to the elimination of one more of its vile terrorists and injury of five others, including three seriously, in a #Palestinian #Resistance operation in the northern #Gaza Strip earlier today: ☠ Warrant Officer G’haleb Sliman Alnasasra, 35, a tracker in the “Gaza Division’s Northern Brigade”. 💥 According to an initial ZOF probe, at 12:58 p.m., a group of ZOF terrorists driving along a ZOF logistics road, close to an army encampment inside Gaza, came under fire by the brave Palestinian Resistance mujahideen, who had come out of a tunnel shaft, launched an RPG at the #Zionist army vehicle. 💥 Three ZOF terrorists of the 414th Combat Intelligence Collection Unit were wounded in the attack. • LAGOS POLICE SPREADING FAKE NEWS IN FAILED BID TO COVER ITS ATROCIOUS FRAME-UP OF QUADRI ALABI.

Our attention has been drawn to a false and provocative statement issued by the Lagos State Police Command in which the Command unsuccessfully attempted to mislead the public on the fabricated case they initiated against Quadri Alabi.

The statement is not only laughable, it is ridiculous. It is embarrassing to see the police spread disinformation and fake news about an innocent Nigerian child.

Nigerians will note that in our previous statements, we disclosed that our client was abducted by two ‘Area Boys’ named Lege and Baba Waris while he was on his way home from work and dumped at the Amukoko Divisional Police Station.

These same Area Boys and their cohorts have been been harassing our client since 2023 in their effort to extort “their share” of the donations made to him after he stood in front of the convoy of Mr. Peter Obi.

In its statement, the police claimed that Quadri was arrested in connection with street fighting.

They also claimed that some properties were damaged, and that some persons were also robbed. According to the police, Quadri was identified by some people in the community and by the victims.

First, we wish to restate that Quadri is not 18 years old as mischievously parroted by the police. He is 17 as contained in his birth certificate and attested to by his mother.

He was born on the 29th day of September, 2007.

Second, Quadri was not involved in street fighting and did not rob anyone, he also did not damage anyone’s property.

Third, there was no time that our client was identified by any victim of the alleged crimes. The police should tell the public when and where the identification was done and the method used.

How was Quadri identified by the alleged victims when no identification parade was conducted as required by law, given that the alleged offences were said to have been committed at about 10pm?

Fourth, the police in their statement said that our client was arrested, but they failed to state who exactly arrested him and the place he was arrested. Their silence on these key points is quite revealing.

Sixth, the so-called casemates of Quadri are adults who are not known to him. The police failed to disclose the relationship or connection between Quadri and the four adults who were remanded along with him.

We should also state for the records that the police had detained Quadri for about a week in the police cell before unlawfully taking him before a Magistrate for remand.

It is the law that once the permissible constitutional limit for detaining a suspect has passed, a subsequent order of remand cannot cure the infringement.

It is preposterous that despite the Legal Advice issued by the Learned Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Lagos State exonerating Quadri, and his subsequent discharge by the Court, the Lagos State Police Command rather than exude remorse, has chosen the ignoble path of doubling down on its acts of perfidy, shamelessness, lawlessness, and utter contempt for justice and the truth.

We condemn this gross act of recklessness and irresponsibility by the police.

By taking this path, the Nigeria Police Force is reminding the country that it is very far from redemption.

We shall meet the Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, the DPO of Amukoko CSP Olaniran Ismaila O., the IPO Inspector Odigbe Samuel, and others in the court in the coming days to seek redress and adequate compensation for Quadri.

We will also file a formal complaint with the Police Service Commission against the lawless DPO of Amukoko.

Nigeria is our country, we will not allow agents of impunity to get away with such abominable oppression of a Nigerian child.

  • IPOB Slams Sultan of Sokoto: You Ignore Killer Herdsmen but Fear Social Media for Exposing Them

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has strongly condemned the recent statement by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, in which he described social media in Nigeria as a "terrorist organisation" and called for its criminalisation.

In a statement released by IPOB's Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, the group labelled the Sultan’s remarks as absurd and a clear sign of fear among the northern elite, who are allegedly panicking over the continued exposure of atrocities committed by killer herdsmen.

Referencing proverbs like “a clear conscience fears no accusation” and “the wicked flee when no one pursues,” IPOB accused the Sultan — a key Fulani leader and Islamic spiritual figure — of trying to silence victims and whistleblowers who rely on social media to expose acts of terror, kidnappings, and land grabs allegedly carried out by Fulani militants.

“Instead of condemning the widespread violence and displacement caused by Fulani terrorists, the Sultan is more concerned with silencing the platforms revealing these crimes,” the statement said.

IPOB also criticised both the Sultan and the Nigerian government for consistently failing to acknowledge the true scale of Fulani-linked violence, accusing them of using mainstream media to distort the facts, labeling these attacks as mere “banditry” or “farmer-herder clashes.”

The group praised social media as a powerful tool for Nigerian youth, a source of economic empowerment, and a platform for the oppressed. They believe any attempt to silence social media is a move to suppress the truth and restrict freedom of speech.

“The Sultan can ignore the truth all he wants, but Nigerians and the international community are becoming increasingly aware of the threats posed by Fulani terrorist groups. Social media is helping to unmask these dangers,” Powerful said.

IPOB concluded by warning that any attempt to shut down social media would ultimately fail.

“If the Sultan is afraid of exposure, then he should tell the terrorists to drop their weapons. IPOB and other indigenous groups will continue to use every legal means — including social media — to resist oppression and shine light on the real causes of insecurity in Nigeria.”

The backlash comes after the Sultan made the controversial remarks during a meeting of Northern Traditional Rulers in Maiduguri, Borno State, where he described social media as a “terrorist organisation” used to spread falsehood and unrest.

His comments have since sparked outrage among Nigerians.

  • Police Declare ABC Transport Founder’s Daughter Wanted for Cybercrime Offenses

The Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) has declared Ihuoma Julia Nneji, daughter of ABC Transport founder Frank Nneji, wanted for alleged offences including criminal defamation, injurious falsehood, and cyberstalking.

In a bulletin issued by the Office of the Inspector-General of Police, Nneji is accused of involvement in cybercrime-related activities. Authorities directed her immediate arrest and urged anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact the nearest police station or the NPF-NCCC headquarters in Abuja. According to police, her last known address was in Victoria Garden City, Lagos.

This development comes just months after Nneji initiated a defamation lawsuit at the Federal High Court in Abuja against prominent social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, influencer Kemi Olunloyo, and lawyer Henry Ikenna Uzochukwu.

VeryDarkMan had previously accused Nneji of making inappropriate allegations against her ex-husband, misrepresenting herself as an American travel nurse, and undergoing multiple cosmetic procedures, including a Brazilian Butt Lift.

The controversy, initially an online exchange, has now intensified into a serious criminal investigation by Nigerian authorities.

The police appeal to members of the public to assist by providing useful information leading to Nneji’s arrest.
