• Stop associating with single ladies as a married woman!

    Before you attáck me listen; this is the quote you will often hear when you are about getting married or after your wedding ceremony.

    Men and women will tell you this; some men will even enforce their wives to let go of all their female single friends.

    I won’t practically say that the statement is inaccurate, but I’ll tell you that there is an exception to it:

    It’s literally unfair to generalize that all single ladies are a thrèat to married women. True friends, regardless of marital status, bring value and support to our lives.

    The single ladies you should be scared of are those who belittle marriage or make you feel like you’re missing out.

    The ones that often come around you to ring a bell that marriage is not an achievement;

    The ones that never see anything good about marriage, the reasons you will be careful of them is for them not to influence you wrongly, to make you insecure or to feel like there is something you are doing wrong or you are missing out on something, and NOT the genuine friends that have been there with you sincerely.

    Not the good single friends that give you the best advice, tell you when you are wrong ; and commend when you did well.
    The ones that try to make sure you are fine and give you motivations when you are down.

    *Don’t assume married friends are automatically better; some may bring unnecessary drama and competition, more than the single friends you are asked to avoid.

    Don’t just do away with good friends because you’re married, unless there is a genuine reason for it .

    Being single is not a disease. It’s a life stage and choice.

    You never know when you might need these friends.
