Kojo and Goat Business

One hot afternoon in the village, Papa Kwame was sitting peacefully on his bench, enjoying his pipe and daydreaming about his young days as a wrestler. Suddenly, his son, Kojo, burst into the compound like a 3understorm.

Papa he shouted, eyes wide with excitement. Please give me an advance on my inheritance. When you dye, I’ll collect the rest

Papa nearly swallowed his pipe. He froze, then slowly turned his head like a confused tortoise. Ehn? You mean I should dye in parts

Kojo, with hands flying like a market woman, continued, Just small now, papa. I want to invest in goat business

Papa stood up, grabbed his cane and shouted, Your inheritance is my cane today, and the rest will come with my ghost

Kojo ran faster than Usain Bolt, shouting, Papa no ooo. I was only joking

That day, Kojo learned not to rush a living lion for his bones.

Squeeze of Life

It was supposed to be a peaceful ride to Oshodi. But for Chike, today was judgment day.

He entered the bus and saw only one empty spot sandwiched between Mama Titi and Aunty Bola, two market women known in Lagos for selling tomatoes and taking up extra spiritual space.

As soon as he sat, it felt like the universe closed in on him. His ribs were playing musical chairs, and his lungs submitted their resignation letter.
Mama Titi on the left kept adjusting, pushing him deeper into Aunty Bola’s mountain of flesh.

Walahi driver, I won’t pay you oh.. Chike suddenly shouted, his voice cracking like chin-chin under pressure. See what is happening to me

The whole bus turned to look. The driver nearly swerved.🫩

Mama Titi replied, You dey cry? You never jam Mama Nnukwu. She go use one hip dislocate your destiny

Aunty Bola added, Oya shift small na, or you want to disappear into my armpit

Chike looked at the driver with teary eyes. Oga please stop. I want to come down and be going to heaven directly

Stop living beneath what Christ already paid for. You don’t have to earn your place in God’s presence. You don’t have to keep revisiting your past to explain your future. You are not who you were—you are who God says you are.

So today, let the restored you rise. Walk with confidence. Live from a place of freedom. And embrace all that is yours in Christ. Hallelujah!

This is why the Bible says in
Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."

But when people seek and pursue after knowledge and wisdom, God gives them understanding, which is light.
And by sufficient light from God's word, you are a champion any day any time.
