  • Stop breaking your own heart.

Sometimes it's better to move on, than to hold on to a person who doesn't understand who you truly are. Unfortunately there will be times where your absence will teach you what your presence cannot.

You need to stop breaking your own heart in trying to make a relationship work that clearly isn't meant to work to begin with.

You can't force someone to genuinely care about you.

You can't force someone to be faithful to you.

You can't force someone to be the person you need
    them to be.

The truth is, sometimes the person you want the most is the same person you would be best without.

You have got to understand some things are meant to come into your life, just not meant to stay.

Everything that you do to show love, you have to be
careful, not to lose yourself by trying to fix what should never been there in the first place. You can't get the relationship you need from someone who's not ready to reciprocate the love you give to them.

I know it's hard when you meet someone and your heart feels, that's the person you could spend an eternity with, and you start to accept that they are not that person you thought they needed to be.

And no matter how many times you cry yourself to sleep at night, you will eventually heal from your previous relationship and find the one you have always longed for. Your future will now bring an understanding of why things didn't work out in your previous relationships.

One thing I have learned throughout the years, is “It is better to be single than to be in a relationship settling for less.”

If they see you as an option, then they don't deserve to be a priority in your life.

Take my advice and never chase someone who's not chasing you.

    …PROMISES FIVE MAJOR PROJECTS,OTHERS IN 2026 BUDGET

The Town Square meeting organized to afford Oron Federal Constituency opportunity to avail the Akwa Ibom State Governor of their needs, became another empowerment avenue for Governor Umo Eno as several indigenes smiled home with cash grants.

The cash totaling N335m naira were given to traders, farmers and business owners in the five local government areas of the federal constituency, including Oron, Okobo, Udung Uko, Urue Offong Oruko and Mbo.

51 million naira went to 108 farmers from the 2 billion naira farmers loan, 543 business men and women got 225 million naira, while 10 entrepreneurs received 5million naira each
The Governor who spoke at the occasion, said the presentations were done in line with his government’s policy of entrepreneurial and agricultural development.

“We have received the needs documents and we’re going to look at it local government by local government and work with it as it will form part of the 2026 budget christened ‘The People’s Budget.

“As you know, there are 31 local government areas and even if we cannot execute all the projects on this document, we will make sure we execute at least one from each of the five local government areas.

“Because we swore to be fair to all, we will not leave any federal constituency in the state behind.”

Governor Eno who expressed delight at the progress of the 14km Airport – Nsit Atai -Okobo Road, commended the contractor, Hensek Integrated Services, for the pace of work.

“That road has seen three successful government and has been used for campaigns, but today with the finishers anointing that God has given us, that road will be commissioned soon.”

The Governor used the occasion to announce that, “very soon, we shall be flagging off the construction of city gate into the Ibom deep seaport project and the sales center.”

Commending the massive turnout at the Stadium, Governor Eno urged people to keep faith with their representatives as the Needs documents would capture virtually the priority needs of the people of the constituency.

The Deputy Governor, an indigene of the area, Senator Akon Eyakenyi expressed appreciation for everything the Governor has done for her people and assured them that even more are on course under the ARISE Agenda.

“The Governor is very passionate about Oro and he has promised to do more. Everything I ask him, he is always very willing to do it for us in Oro. Thank you for loving me and my people”, she said, while also thanking everyone who made the occasion a success.

Earlier while setting the tone for the engagements, the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Enobong Uwah had said that, “we are here to listen to the Oro people, and get to know what their needs are, so that they can be captured in the 2026 budget.

“You are going to have the ARISE traders’ grants, the ARISE Farmers’ Grants, and the ARISE MSMEs grants.

“For the love you have shown the Governor, I can assure you that he will show you more love in return from now till 2031.”

The SSG who particularly expressed joy over the progress at the Airport – Nsit Atai – Okobo Road, assured that was among the 52 projects by the Governor in the area.

In their presentation, the leaders of Oron Federal Constituency, who spoke through Dr Emmanuel Ekuwem, eulogized the Governor for working hard to “depopulate the kingdom of the devil”.

“Our people shall stand by you in appreciation of your excellent performance across the entire State, and in Oron Federal Constituency in particular.”

The stakeholders thereafter cladded the Governor in their traditional regalia of wrapper and cap to show their appreciation for all of his gestures to their people.

This was followed by a vote of confidence by the lawmakers from the federal constituency, following a motion by federal Lawmaker Martin Esin and seconded by Chief Effiong Johnson, the Chief Whip of the State Assembly.

In his goodwill message, Sir Essang Nsa Bassey, President General of Oron Union expressed appreciation to the Governor on the numerous completed and ongoing projects and assured the Governor of their continued support come 2027.

Speaking for the royal fathers, the Paramount Ruler of Udung Uko and Chairman of the State Traditional Rulers Council, Odidem Bassey Etim Edet expressed the support of royal fathers to the Governor for a second term in office, for ‘walking the talk’ in his development agenda for the people.

Highpoints of the event was the presentation of cheques to the beneficiaries by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Elder Udeme Otong, Senator Ekong Sampson and PDP State Chairman, Aniekan Akpan.

  • Ukraine Continues Desperate Adventures On Russia’s BorderUkraine continues its desperate military adventures on the border with Russia, amid conflicting reports of progress in the ceasefire talks. Most of the fighting remains concentrated in the direction of Kursk. Reports from April 3 revealed Ukrainian attempts to use the territory of the St. Nicholas Belogorsk Monastery south of the Sudzha district to organize defenses. This area is located near two of the last towns in Kursk still occupied by Kiev forces, Guevо and Gornal. It holds strategic importance, as its loss would significantly complicate Ukrainian efforts to defend the nearby region of Sumy.Despite Ukraine’s efforts to reorganize its defenses in Kursk, a major advance by the Russian military was reported in Guevо on April 4.At the same time, the Russian military continued to advance in the direction of Sumy, penetrating multiple Ukrainian defense lines in the area of Basovka. The military also repelled a counterattack by Kiev’s forces close to the settlement of Veselovka.Meanwhile in the Belgorod direction, Kiev’s forces made more attempts to advance near the settlements of Demidovka and Popovka on April 3 and 4 but to no avail. The transfer of Ukrainian reinforcements was also disrupted by the Russian military. With no real success on the ground, Kiev forces intensified strikes on Murom, Malinivka, and nearby Russian settlements. The desperate Ukrainian ground attacks on Russian territories coincided with more strikes. Some of the recent strikes even targeted energy infrastructure in violation of the ceasefire reached on March 18.On the night of April 3, Russian air defenses destroyed 23 Ukrainian drones over the regions of Bryansk, Oryol, Kursk, Kaluga, Smolensk, and Belgorod. On the same day, energy infrastructure facilities were reportedly damaged as a result of Ukraine’s strikes in the regions of Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, Belgord and Kursk. The Russian military responded by launching a large-scale attack with at least 39 suicide drones against Ukrainian military infrastructure and defense facilities. Targets were hit in the regions of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro.Another Ukrainian drone attack targeting the capital, Moscow, was reportedly repelled early on April 4.The escalation by Ukraine came amid reports by the mainstream media suggesting that the administration of United States run by President Donald Trump had admitted that it is unlikely to reach a ceasefire in Ukraine before Easter on April 20.However, Russia appeared to be more optimistic. Kremlin envoy Kirill Dmitriev said after talks with officials from the Trump administration in Washington on April 2 and 3 that the two countries had made “significant progress” on a potential ceasefire. The recent Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory show that the Kiev regime is still acting in a bad faith. A comprehensive ceasefire agreement will not be possible if the escalation continues.https://southfront.press/ukraine-desperate-adventures-on-russian-border/
