  • Betty Akeredolu’s Video: Ondo AG Confirms Receipt of Petition Seeking Coroner’s Inquest
    • _…Says Citizens Have Right to Demand Investigation, Assures Due Process Will Be Followed_

The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Ondo State, Dr. Olukayode Ajulo, SAN, OON, has confirmed that his office has received petitions from concerned groups requesting the invocation of the Coroners Law of Ondo State in relation to the death of the former Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON.

In a statement released on Monday, Dr. Ajulo affirmed that citizens have the right to request the invocation of the Coroners Law, which is designed to address public concerns surrounding deaths considered unnatural or controversial. He emphasised that under the law, any citizen or group who reasonably suspects foul play or has lingering questions about a person’s death has the legal right to demand a coroner’s inquest.

“It is not out of place for citizens to demand its invocation when there are legitimate concerns. The Attorney General is duty-bound to act in accordance with the law once such concerns are raised by members of the public." Dr. Ajulo said.

While confirming the receipt of petitions relating to the demise of the late Governor, Dr. Ajulo maintained that the law would be allowed to take its course without bias or sentiment. He assured that the Ministry, under his leadership, is committed to transparency, the rule of law, and due process in handling such sensitive matters.

“We have received petitions from groups both within and outside the state, including professional bodies and even from the late Governor’s hometown. Let me be clear: due process will be followed. The law is there to serve the people and ensure that truth and justice prevail." He affirmed.

The petitioners urged the Attorney General to initiate an inquest to investigate the circumstances surrounding the former Governor’s death. They raised concerns based on previous and recent public statements, as well as what they described as "unguarded and unhinged conduct" of the former First Lady, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu. In their petitions, she and others were explicitly named as persons of interest, with the petitioners claiming her actions cast doubt on the official narrative that the former Governor died from cancer-related complications.

When asked about the steps his office would take in response, the Attorney General reiterated that there is a legal process for everything and urged citizens to allow the law to take its full course without prematurely casting aspersions on anyone, saying “If invitations or arrests need to be made, the process will not deviate from doing the needful."

Responding to questions about the inspection of the remains of the late Governor, Dr. Ajulo clarified that such matters fall within the purview of the Coroners Law and the discretion of the Coroner Judge, not his or that of any individual. “The law will be allowed to take its course." He added.

The chief law officer of the State also called for calm and civility, urging members of the public to let legal procedures unfold without interference. He said, “We must approach this issue with civility, dignity, and a deep sense of responsibility to the legacy of the late Governor and the peace of the state."

Reiterating the commitment of the current administration, Dr. Ajulo stressed that the government under Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa remains unwavering in its pursuit of justice and constitutional order.

“No one is above the law, and no one is beneath its protection. Where the law provides a remedy, the government of Governor Aiyedatiwa will not be found wanting." He concluded.

  • TEACH YOUR DAUGHTERS THAT

They are five (5) important dresses a woman should wear in her lifetime.

    These are:

    1. School uniform
    2. Matriculation gown
    3. Graduation gown
    4. Wedding gown
    5. Maternity gown

Let your daughters know; That if any girl skips the 2nd dress, she will not get to wear the 3rd.

Daughters must not rush to wear the 5th just because a man has promised them the 4th.

More so, the 4th fits better and more prestigious if worn before the 5th.

Our daughters must learn to wait and follow the dress pattern from 1 to 5.

Be a good parent and Christian leader.

We have this as a responsibility to our Children as parents.

    And it is Very important.

  • The love language we don't talk about.
It's the quiet act of someone choosing to work on themselves.
Not just for their own sake, but for the health of the relationship.
It’s easy to say, “That’s just how I am,” and expect others to accept our flaws and triggers as unchangeable parts of us.
But real love ..... deep, mature love, looks different.
It’s someone who recognizes their wounds and patterns, and instead of making them your burden, takes responsibility for their healing.
It’s the partner who notices when their words cut too deep, or when old habits threaten new happiness, and chooses to do the work to grow.
You deserve someone who doesn’t expect you to simply tolerate the parts of them that hurt you.
You deserve someone who sees the impact of their actions and is willing to change, not because you demand it, but because they care about your peace, your safety, and your heart.
Love isn’t just about grand gestures or sweet words.
    Sometimes, it’s about accountability.
It’s about someone who looks at their own reflection and says, “I want to be better for me, for you, for us.”
That’s the kind of love that builds trust, deepens connection, and heals old wounds.
Always remember .... you are worthy of a love that grows.
Of a partner who chooses healing over excuses, effort over complacency.
Don’t settle for less than someone who’s willing to do the work, because that’s a love language that will last a lifetime.

    1. Cut off toxic people in your life. Although it is not easy to do it, for you to have peace of mind, you have to.

    2. Distance yourself from people who only give out negative thoughts and energy. They will never help you grow.

    3. Choose your battles wisely. Not everything requires your energy and reaction.

    4. Be careful in letting people be a part of your life. Not everyone is a friend.

    5. Unwind. When everything starts to feel tiring, go on a vacation. You deserve it.

    6. Learn when to walk away. If it is no longer giving you peace of mind, it is not worth it.

    7. Always make time for yourself. Being alone feels therapeutic at times.

    8. Have less time for social media and more of starting a new hobby. Be productive with your time.

    9. Be adaptable to change. Always brace yourself for endless possibilities.

    10. Knowing your triggers is your responsibility. Not all the time people will adjust for you.

  • OUR YOUNG GIRLS NEED US, NOW MORE THAN EVER! 👧🏽👩🏽‍🏫 LET’S WAKE UP BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE

Over the past six months, my experience within the premises of our public schools has been deeply troubling, especially when it comes to the behavior and direction of our young girls between the ages of 14 and 18.

What I have seen is not just a cause for concern, it’s a wake-up call for every parent, guardian, and stakeholder in our children’s lives.

These girls, who are supposed to be the pride and future of our communities, are now caught up in habits and attitudes that are not only unbecoming but dangerous.

Many of them openly engage in inappropriate relationships within the school compound. Having sex in the school premises and some girls are also into yahoo yahoo. They disrespect teachers with boldness that is shocking.

Some are found using harmful substances, including Drugs. Their obsession with beauty products, including skin-damaging creams is alarming, and many are using these right under their parents’ noses.

Let’s not be deceived: this is not just a school problem. It is a home problem. Teachers are doing the best they can, but they are overwhelmed. They are educators, not miracle workers. The school system cannot instill discipline and character in children if the home front is failing.

When school authorities invite parents for meetings to address these issues, it’s heartbreaking to see that barely 5% of parents show up. How do we solve problems we’re not even willing to talk about?

Dear parents, this is happening right in your presence not in secret. The signs are clear, yet many choose to ignore them or make excuses. Our daughters are at risk, not just physically, but emotionally, mentally, and morally.

Let’s act now. Let’s bring back home training.
Let’s monitor the kind of content they consume, the creams and clothes they wear, the people they talk to, and the places they go.
Let’s restore values like modesty, self-respect, respect for elders, and integrity. Let’s talk to our daughters, not at them. Let’s spend time, show love, and offer guidance.

Remember, these young girls will grow into women one day, mothers, leaders, professionals. The choices we allow them to make today will shape who they become tomorrow.

It’s time to rise and take responsibility.
Let’s be their guide, their light, and their shield. Let’s save our daughters, while we still can.

They are our future, let’s not fail them today and expect greatness tomorrow. 🙏🏽
