  • Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s Prophecies and Nigeria’s Current Realities

    Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has long been a controversial figure in Nigerian politics. Love him or hate him, his words and warnings over the years have had a profound impact, particularly among his followers. Many of his past statements, once dismissed as conspiracy theories or alarmist rhetoric, appear eerily accurate in light of Nigeria’s current situation.

    1. Insecurity and the Rise of Banditry

    One of Kanu’s most striking warnings was his prediction of Nigeria’s descent into widespread insecurity. He repeatedly cautioned that terrorism, banditry, and herdsmen attacks would escalate if unchecked. Fast forward to today, and Nigeria is grappling with a security crisis of unprecedented proportions. From Boko Haram in the Northeast to armed bandits in the Northwest and killer herdsmen in the South, the nation is in turmoil. Even Abuja, the federal capital, is not spared from kidnappings and violent attacks.

    2. Economic Collapse and Hardship

    Kanu had often spoken about an impending economic crisis in Nigeria, warning that bad governance, corruption, and poor leadership would lead to severe economic hardship. Today, Nigeria’s inflation rate is at an all-time high, the naira has depreciated significantly, fuel prices have skyrocketed, and unemployment continues to rise. Millions of Nigerians struggle daily with the cost of living, a situation that validates his warnings about the consequences of poor governance.

    3. Political Instability and the Struggle for Power

    Another prophecy that seems to be manifesting is Nigeria’s deepening political instability. Kanu predicted that Nigeria’s political structure would become more chaotic as ethnic and regional divisions intensify. Today, the country is more polarized than ever, with calls for secession from different groups, electoral controversies, and a lack of trust in the government. The 2023 elections, marred by allegations of fraud and manipulation, only deepened the nation’s divide.

    4. The Alleged Identity Controversy of Buhari

    Perhaps one of Kanu’s most controversial claims was his insistence that Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, had been replaced by an imposter, whom he identified as ‘Jubril from Sudan.’ While this claim was widely dismissed by government officials and critics, it fueled speculation and debates about Buhari’s health and public appearances. Whether or not one believes in this theory, the secrecy surrounding Buhari’s medical travels and long absences from the country made the claim resonate with many Nigerians.

    5. The Marginalization of the South-East

    Kanu has consistently spoken about the marginalization of the Igbo people in Nigeria. Today, many Igbos feel politically sidelined, especially after the 2023 elections, where Peter Obi, the candidate with strong Igbo backing, was controversially defeated. The continued military operations in the South-East, the detention of Kanu himself, and the economic neglect of the region further confirm the long-standing grievances he has championed.

    Conclusion

    While opinions on Nnamdi Kanu remain divided, it is undeniable that many of his warnings about Nigeria’s future have come true. From insecurity to economic hardship and political instability, the country is experiencing the very crises he predicted. Whether one sees him as a prophet, a revolutionary, or a rebel, history is proving that his words were not mere rhetoric but reflections of a deeper reality within Nigeria.

    The question now is: Will Nigeria heed the warnings and address these issues, or will the country continue its downward spiral?

  • The #Palestinian Islamic #Resistance Movement #Hamas:

    The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) vehemently condemns the heinous crime perpetrated by the #Zionist occupation army in the Rafah’s Tal al-Sultan neighborhood, where the bodies of 14 martyrs, including six of the Civil Defense personnel and eight of the Palestinian Red Crescent paramedics, were found. They had been missing for days and were found handcuffed and buried in one grave.

    This crime represents the largest act of mass targeting and deliberate killing of emergency medical personnel and confirms that we are dealing with a criminal, sadistic enemy who is devoid of all human values. This has occurred in disregard for international law, international humanitarian law, and the Geneva Conventions that ensure the protection of medical and civil defense crews during conflicts.

    The criminal Zionist enemy continues to commit the most heinous crimes during the brutal #genocide it is waging against innocent civilians in the #Gaza Strip, flagrantly and systematically violating all laws and norms, emboldened by a disgraceful international silence and the political and military cover provided by the complicit #US administration.

    The entire world must stand firmly against this unprecedented brutal behavior in the history of conflicts, unequivocally condemn the crimes of Netanyahu’s fascist government, and work towards holding the criminal leaders of the occupation accountable before international courts for their crimes against humanity.

    🗓 Sunday, March 30, 2025

    -ˋˏ✄┈┈┈┈

    Senior Hamas leader Sami Abu Zuhri:

    “Netanyahu’s statements that the goal of the war is to implement #Trump’s displacement plan unequivocally confirm that we are facing an American-Zionist scheme linked to the displacement project.”

    “In response to this demonic plot which combines massacres and starvation, everyone capable of carrying a weapon anywhere in the world must take action. Spare no explosive, bullet, knife, or stone. Let everyone break their silence.”

    “We are all guilty if American interests and the Zionist occupation remain safe amid the slaughter and starvation of Gaza.”

    *DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY*

    *SUNDAY 16TH MARCH, 2025*

    *WHEN TO SAY NO*

    *TEXT: ESTHER 1:10-12*

    *KEY VERSE:*
    *_"But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king's commandment by his chamberlains: therefore was the king very wroth, and his anger burned in him"_* *(ESTHER 1:12).*

    Stonewall Jackson was a Lieutenant General in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War. He was influential in most critical military operations. However, unlike most other officers, he was reputed for his abstinence from alcohol. On one occasion, after a long trip, drenched in rain and shivering in the cold, an officer offered him a drink, but he refused. The officer insisted, but Jackson replied, "No, Sir, I cannot do it. I tell you, I am more afraid of King Alcohol than of all the bullets of the enemy." Saying 'NO' to alcohol is the best safeguard against intoxication and regrettable actions.

    In contrast to Jackson's noble stand, today's text portrays King Ahasuerus acting under the influence of alcohol. On the last day of his public exhibition and feast, the intoxicated king sent for his choice queen, Vashti, to come and display her beauty before the drunken crowd. To her credit, Queen Vashti refused to honour the king's command, thereby incurring his wrath. It was bad enough that the king became tipsy and made an inconsiderate demand from his queen; he became angry when rebuffed. The king did not know how to say 'no' to wine, a substance that impaired his reason and judgment, but the queen knew enough to refuse a command that would place her in the wrong company or cause her to misbehave.

    The Scripture says, "...it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted" (Proverbs 31:4, 5). Intemperance and anger have destroyed many lives and wrecked the careers of many people. You can resolve to never be included in this list of casualties.

    Beyond keeping away from strong drinks, we must say NO to anything and anyone that causes us to do wrong and violate our conscience. Even our obedience to human authorities should not be at the cost of disobeying God's law. It is time to say 'NO' when human laws contradict God's command or at the suggestion of anything that would place us in a questionable circumstance.

    *THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:*
    *_Saying "NO" is not always a negative idea._*

    *THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: NUMBERS 26-28*

    *HYMN*

    *STAND UP, STAND UP FOR JESUS*

    1. Stand up, stand up for Jesus
    ye soldiers of the cross;
    lift high his royal banner,
    it must not suffer loss.
    From vict'ry unto vict'ry
    his army he shall lead
    till ev'ry foe is vanquished
    and Christ is Lord indeed.

    2. Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
    the trumpet call obey;
    forth to the mighty conflict
    in this his glorious day.
    Ye that are men now serve him
    against unnumbered foes;
    let courage rise with danger
    and strength to strength opposed

    3. Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
    stand in his strength alone;
    the arm of flesh will fail you,
    ye dare not trust your own.
    Put on the gospel armor,
    each piece put on with prayer;
    where duty calls or danger,
    be never wanting there.

    4. Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
    the strife will not be long;
    this day the noise of battle,
    the next, the victor's song.
    To him that overcometh
    a crown of life shall be;
    he with the King of glory
    shall reign eternally.
    https://dailymanna.app/ *DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY* *SUNDAY 16TH MARCH, 2025* *WHEN TO SAY NO* *TEXT: ESTHER 1:10-12* *KEY VERSE:* *_"But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king's commandment by his chamberlains: therefore was the king very wroth, and his anger burned in him"_* *(ESTHER 1:12).* Stonewall Jackson was a Lieutenant General in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War. *THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:* *_Saying "NO" is not always a negative idea._* *THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: NUMBERS 26-28* *HYMN* *STAND UP, STAND UP FOR JESUS* 1. Stand up, stand up for Jesus ye soldiers of the cross; lift high his royal banner, it must not suffer loss. From vict'ry unto vict'ry his army he shall lead till ev'ry foe is vanquished and Christ is Lord indeed. 2. Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the trumpet call obey; forth to the mighty conflict in this his glorious day. Ye that are men now serve him against unnumbered foes; let courage rise with danger and strength to strength opposed 3. Stand up, stand up for Jesus, stand in his strength alone; the arm of flesh will fail you, ye dare not trust your own. Put on the gospel armor, each piece put on with prayer; where duty calls or danger, be never wanting there. 4. Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the strife will not be long; this day the noise of battle, the next, the victor's song.
