Bishop David Oyedepo teaching during the Impartation Service of the Easter Faith Convention on Monday, 21st April narrated how he vowed his salary to God forever in December, 1987. His salary at the time was N1,386.

He said, "God's romance may be costly. He said, 'My Son, I'm pleased with you.' Oh, goose pimples all over my body. 'But what have you brought for me?' 'Lord, what do I have? Oh, my salary. I give it to you.' It was the most precious treasure of our lives then. How much was it? 1,386 Naira. I said, 'Lord, I give it to you.' That was December '87. Nobody heard it from my mouth until '96 when it had become a testimony with my own Accountant working for me. My wife asked me the following month, what about upkeep salary. I said I've laid it on the Altar so we are free to be hungry. That was the last time she asked. Church Gist. When you hear stories, check the story behind the story. We are not faking this thing here. I'm not prosperous by chance, it's by Covenant, dangerous acts of sacrifice as prompted by the Holy Ghost."

He further stated how God demanded a property from him when funds were needed for Church planting. He obeyed and God told him, 'My Son David, even if you don't want to be rich, it's too late!'

Bishop David Oyedepo teaching during the Impartation Service of the Easter Faith Convention on Monday, 21st April narrated how he promised God that he will see to the end of the denigrating phrase, "as poor as a church rat" (that was the norm back in the days) if He blesses Him.

Speaking, he said, " I saw Churches being built 20 years, 30 years, uncompleted. Lord, if you ever bless me, I want to see this proverb erased, 'as poor as Church rat' I had no bank account but I had a heart panting after God. I want to be part of building you Churches. Okay, what is in your heart? What can you define as in your heart for God as He keeps raising you".

GREAT WISDOM FOR VICTORIOUS LIVING.

1. The less you say, the more your words will matter.
Choose your words wisely. In a noisy world full of opinions, wisdom is often found in silence and thoughtful speech. Be known for words that uplift, not for words that merely fill the air.

Bishop David Oyedepo speaking on Obedience at the Day 3 Encounter Night of the Easter Faith Convention mentioned how he would have lost his place as the Apostle over the Liberation Commission. He also stated that he currently has no regret about being in Nigeria.

He said, "Precious people, just imagine that I got hooked on to the US and decided to stay there on my own. I might be a member of this Church now because there is no wasted crown in the Kingdom. You lose it, somebody else takes it. You better mind God and mind His instructions. You don't have a future without God. I said 'why is nothing happening in Kumasi?' God said 'I'm not there' The anointing was there oh, the calling was there, but God was not there. Six years, nothing was happening. People can be somewhere where God is not for 20 years and nothing is happening. You won't miss God! Do I have a regret now for being in Nigeria? Never! You won't miss your place."

Bishop Oyedepo had an opportunity to relocate to the US in 1987, but he declined the offer in obedience to God. He also stated that raw Obedience has brought the Commission to its present position.

Bishop Oyedepo's response after the burning of Church buses during the early days in Ota.

During the Morning Session on Saturday at the Easter Faith Convention 2025, Bishop David Oyedepo while emphasizing on the need for members to be bold and never to be intimidated by the forces of darkness, shared some encounters of the early days at Canaanland Ota, the International Headquarters of the Living Faith Church.

He told the congregation how some angry people burnt two of the Church brand new buses and while they were going home, the wife asked him because of the chaos going on in the town, "where are we going through?" He responded, "we are going through the town. People like us don't go through corners." He further gave the driver an instruction, "anybody you meet, crush him." That was how they drove through without any obstruction on the road and that created path for others to go through.

He also cited examples of how birds were dropping dead both in Canaanland and in his house without any man's involvement. "The battles that we confronted here, only Heaven can have the chronicles of it. It takes spiritual boldness to possession your possession" - he stated.

During the 3rd Word Session at the Hour of Visitation (Day 3) of the Easter Faith Convention 2025, Bishop David Oyedepo while admonishing believers on the need to run with revelation stated that where you stand today is a function of how diligent you are in your business today. He also stated as he quoted from Proverbs 22:29 that he has been able to stand in very high places in the World today by reason of the application of revelation at his disposal.

He further explained that it is not enough to know the truth, believers must take a step further to engage with the truth. "The food you know does not satisfy you, it is the food you eat that does."
