THOUGHT FOR THE DAY *The gospel is the hope of all mankind.* MESSAGE The gospel is the hope of all mankind. Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior came preaching the gospel, the Apostles preached the gospel. Paul the apostle said in Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." The greatest need of all the living is the salvation of their souls because an unsaved soul is reserved for the fire of hell eternally. It is believed that over 150,000 to 170,000 people die daily globally. As of recent, these statistics have increased drastically in different continents and countries. Mortality rates in Puerto Rico have increased by 62%, and in Nigeria over the past few weeks, more people have been wasted by heartless killers. The begging question is, how many of these departed souls made it to Jesus in heaven? The probability would be that many of them died Christ less and are therefore in hell at the moment. The disturbing issue is that there is no amnesty program for those in hell. It's forever in damnation. We must preach the gospel like never before. The Bible says Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. And how shall they believe except they hear and how shall they hear if nobody preaches to them. This is why we must preach like never before. And like our Lord Jesus would say: "what I say to one, I say unto all" preach the gospel to every creature. ACTION STEPS 1. Map out strategies to reach out to the unsaved ones around you. 2. Keep tracts and other evangelism tools with you at all times. 3. Pray for all the unsaved souls in Islamic nations to be saved. 3. Pray for Missionaries on mission fields for grace and courage to do the work of evangelists. PRAYERS Dear heavenly Father, thank you for today's devotional guide. CHURCH MEMBERSHIP ETHICS ⛪ “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” – 1 Corinthians 12:27 Being a faithful and committed church member reflects your love for Christ and maturity as a believer. Church membership is not a mere formality—it is a covenant responsibility before God. Below are essential principles that govern healthy, biblical church membership: 1. BE A MEMBER OF ONLY ONE CHURCH “No one can serve two masters...” – Matthew 6:24 Being planted in one local church is a mark of loyalty and order. Divided loyalty weakens your spiritual growth and creates confusion. Choose where God has led you, plant yourself there, and flourish. Dual membership is like a divided heart—it brings instability and robs both churches of your full commitment. 2. RESPECT OTHER CHURCHES “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition...” – Philippians 2:3 Never fish from another church’s pond. Evangelism is about reaching the unsaved, not draining other congregations. God honors soul-winning, not sheep-stealing. Instead of trying to attract members from smaller churches, invest your energy into outreach. Strengthen the Body by building, not by weakening others. 3. HELP MAKE YOUR CHURCH BETTER “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” – Matthew 6:21 Every church has room to grow—including yours. Don't jump ship because of imperfections. Be part of the solution. Serve with joy, contribute your gifts, and work with leadership to make things better. God places you in a church not to observe, but to contribute. 4. STOP LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT CHURCH “There is none righteous, no, not one.” – Romans 3:10 A perfect church doesn’t exist—because people aren’t perfect. The goal isn’t perfection, but progress. Every church is a work in progress, just like you. Rather than chasing perfection, commit to growth and maturity where you are. 5. MAKING SUGGESTIONS WITH THE RIGHT HEART “Let all things be done decently and in order.” – 1 Corinthians 14:40 As a member, your voice matters. Offer your ideas with humility and a willingness to participate in their implementation. And if leadership doesn’t take them on board, respond with grace. Suggestions are not commands; they are offerings, not ultimatums. 6. YOUR ACTIONS IMPACT THE BODY “If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it.” – 1 Corinthians 12:26 The church is not a club—it’s a body. Every act of faithfulness or carelessness sends a ripple through the entire congregation. Your absence, presence, encouragement, or discouragement has an effect. Think beyond yourself. You are part of something much bigger. 7. GIVE TO YOUR LOCAL CHURCH “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse...” – Malachi 3:10 Your financial giving should support the church that feeds and shepherds you. Supporting other ministries is good, but your first responsibility is your local church. Like eating at one restaurant and paying at another—misplaced giving weakens the house that serves you. 8. LET YOUR PASTOR OFFICIATE YOUR LIFE EVENTS “Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor...” – 1 Timothy 5:17 For weddings, dedications, or blessings, involve your own pastor. This shows honor, consistency, and accountability. Your pastor is spiritually responsible for you—so they should be present in your major life milestones. 9. LEAVE A CHURCH HONORABLY, IF YOU MUST “First go and be reconciled to them...” – Matthew 5:24 If God leads you to another church, do not disappear quietly. Speak to your leaders. Seek peace and receive their blessing. Don't gossip, criticize, or take others with you. Leaving in offense creates spiritual baggage. Leave as a peacemaker, not a troublemaker. 10. DON’T LEAVE BECAUSE OF CORRECTION “If someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently.” – Galatians 6:1 Rebuke is a sign of care. When your leaders confront your sin, receive it with humility. Running away only hardens your heart and delays growth. True discipleship requires correction. A loving church disciplines because it desires your restoration. 11. IMPERFECT PASTORS STILL SERVE A PERFECT GOD “We have this treasure in jars of clay...” – 2 Corinthians 4:7 Your pastor will make mistakes. Don’t expect flawless leadership. God uses flawed vessels to accomplish His perfect will. What matters most is their heart for God, not their human limitations. Extend the same grace you want to receive. 12. DISCIPLESHIP IS NOT A BURDEN—IT’S A BLESSING “Go therefore and make disciples...” – Matthew 28:19 Discipleship is the heartbeat of spiritual maturity. If you are offended by structure, correction, or accountability, ask yourself if you truly want to grow. Emotion is not a good compass—let God’s Word guide your decisions. Growth requires intentional effort and sometimes discomfort. LOVE, SERVE, AND BUILD “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship...” – Acts 2:42 Your church is your spiritual family. Love it, serve it, and build it. Your faithfulness strengthens others. Your consistency honors God. Don’t be a visitor in your own house—be a pillar in the house of the Lord. Support your church. Celebrate your church. I Met Him in Church… But I Didn't Know the Devil Also Wore Suits." I thought the safest place to meet a good man was the house of God. I thought wrong. When I met Samuel, I was 25 and deeply broken. I had just come out of a toxic relationship — the kind that leaves you doubting your own worth, your own beauty, your own intelligence. I needed healing. I needed God. So when Samuel found me crying quietly after service one evening, and offered me his handkerchief, I thought: > "Maybe this is how God gives second chances." He was everything a "church man" should be. Well-dressed. Well-spoken. Bible study leader. Quoting scriptures like breathing air. He never missed midweek service. He always led prayer sessions with fire. People respected him. Pastor adored him. And somehow... he adored me. He courted me “the godly way.” No kissing. No touching. No secret sleepovers. Just prayers, fasting, long conversations about our future. He would say: > "Let’s make heaven together, baby." I believed him. I introduced him to my family. He knelt down before my parents and said: > "I will honor her. I will cherish her. I will protect her in Christ." My father cried that day. My mother started sewing Aso-Ebi for a wedding that hadn’t even been proposed yet. Everyone said I was lucky. That I had found a rare gem. Three months to our introduction, things started changing. Little things. He started picking on my dressing. > "That skirt is too tight. Godly women are modest." He started controlling who I could talk to. > "Your best friend is too worldly. She’s a distraction." He started monitoring my social media. > "Why are men liking your posts? Delete it." I thought it was love. I thought it was protection. I didn’t know it was the first signs of a cage. Then came the financial requests. First, it was ₦20,000 to “sow a seed” into a new church project. Then ₦50,000 because his car broke down on the way to evangelism. Then ₦100,000 because his younger brother needed urgent school fees — "and as his future wife," he said, "our burdens are shared." I drained my savings without blinking. Because isn't that what Proverbs 31 women do? Support their men in times of need? Besides, he always said: > "God will bless you double." I was sowing into my future, I thought. I was watering the garden of marriage, I thought. One night, two weeks to our traditional wedding, I visited him unannounced. I just wanted to surprise him. Bring him some food. Maybe wash his clothes. Be a good fiancée. The door was locked. I knocked. He came out half-naked. Another woman was inside. Wearing my favorite Ankara wrapper. Cooking in his kitchen. She looked me dead in the eyes and said: > "Who are you?" I couldn’t speak. My tongue glued itself to my grief. Samuel pulled me outside roughly and whispered: > "Don't embarrass me. She's my real fiancée. You were just... spiritual support." Just. Spiritual. Support. Six months of prayers. Six months of fasting. Six months of giving. For what? For another woman to wear my wrapper? For another woman to sleep in the bed I helped pay rent for? He blocked me the next day. Changed churches. Moved on. I found out later he had three other women from three other churches he was "courting" at the same time. Different rings. Different promises. Same lies. I thought the pain would kill me. I thought my chest would split open from heartbreak. I questioned God: > "Was I not faithful enough? Was I not prayerful enough? Was I not good enough?" But the more I wept, the clearer it became: It wasn't about me. It was about him. Some men use the name of God as camouflage. They speak in tongues, but their hearts speak in manipulation. They sing worship songs, but their souls are tuned to destruction. Today, I am healing. Slowly. Learning that God is good, even when people are wicked. Learning that real love doesn't control, it cherishes. Real love doesn't use, it protects. Real love doesn’t need a stage and a microphone — it’s humble, it’s patient, it’s kind. Life Lesson: Don’t confuse spirituality with character. Don’t let your love for God blind you to red flags waving like banners. And never, ever surrender your mind just because someone carries a Bible louder than you. Love should feel like peace — not war. Not confusion. Not fear. Today, I still believe in love. I still believe in God. But now, I know better: > Even the devil can wear suits. Even the devil can preach sermons. Test spirits. Test hearts. Test character. Then I Saw Men Of God Sleeping With Members. Some Slept With Members Before They Mounted Pulpits._ _I Saw That Pastors Are Battling Within Because There Is Not Just A Crack But An Opening On The Wall. Satan Has Entered Their Lives. Some Were Caught In The Web Of Pornography And Masturbation._ _In Fact, I Saw A Particular Pastor Watching Pornography And Masturbating In His Room. To Him The Room Was Locked And He Thought No One Was Seeing Him But I Saw That The Wall To His Room Facing The Public Was Broken And People Were Watching Him Without His Knowledge. And God Said To Me_ *"Whatever Is Being Done In Secret Is Already Open."* _I Also Saw Women Becoming Unsubmissive And Disrespectful To Their Husbands And This Act Frustrated Husbands To Fall Prey To These Spirits When They Left Home._ _I Saw Many Being Manipulated Through Food And Clothes.
