• *JUST IN: NECO plans to conduct CBT-based exam for Nov-Dec SSCE*

The Registrar and Chief Executive, National Examination Council (NECO), Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, has said that the body is ready to conduct a Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the November/December Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) for private students.

Wushishi, who stressed the need for an awareness campaign to get stakeholders on board the new approach to SSCE examinations, added that NECO had been carrying out the campaign in town hall meetings with stakeholders across the states on the need for CBT.

The Registrar, while speaking during the Education Writers’ Association of Nigeria (EWAN) dialogue series with the theme: “CBT for SSCE: Is Nigeria Ready?” held virtually, disclosed that there were more than 2,000 CBT centres across the country, aside from National Open University CBT centres in all the states and some local councils.

He added that NECO is also mapping out schools to match with available CBT centres so that they could determine the nearest distance to CBT centres or vice versa.

Director of Senior Secondary Education, Hajia Binta Abdulkadir, in her remark, said the examination bodies, which include the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), have all it takes to conduct CBT exams

She disclosed that a committee called Improvement of Public Examinations in Nigeria, headed by Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Is-haq Oloyede is working on such issues and will deliver the report soon.

Abdulkadir, who gave the assurance that examination bodies and the ministry would look inward to commence the new approach, however, stressed the need to punish the culprits sabotaging examinations in the country, noting that the government should resuscitate punitive laws on exam malpractices if they are dead.

However, participants at the meeting shared varying views.

A participant, Dr Adunola Osoba, suggested that CBT centres should be done in phases, saying: “It is achievable. Massive sensitisation should be done for stakeholders, especially the candidates.”

Another participant, AbdulRasheed Rabana, said Nigeria could not go CBT without her mode of examination conduct, saying: “Imagine if we conduct practical, oral examination, and essay examination? The only examination that is adaptable to CBT is our multiple-choice examination.”

  • *Introduction:*

*Ancient people* recognized the *Rainbow* as a sign of peace and of harmony . The ancient Hebrews recognized it as a sign given by the Creator that he wants all living things to live and to flourish in peace and harmony; all clans, all tribes, all colors, all faiths, all nations. That between us there should be no division but mutual respect and appreciation 👏🏻 of one another's gifts as well as of our differences. In this way we enrich one another by reflecting to one another the beauty and magnificence of the Creator....

"When the Rainbow appears in the clouds I will remember the everlasting promise
between me and all living beings on Earth ."

💁🏻‍♀️ Once upon a time, all the colors in the world started to quarrel; each claimed that they were the best 🫶, the most important , the most useful 🫴, or the most favorite .

*Green * said, "Clearly I am the most important. I am the sign of life and hope. I was chosen for the grass , the trees and the leaves . Without me all the animals would die. Look out into the countryside and you will see that I am in the majority."

*Blue * interrupted, "You only think about the , but consider the sky and the sea . It is the Water that is the basis of life and this is drawn up by the clouds from the blue sea. The sky gives space, and peace and serenity. Without my peace you would all be nothing but busybodies."

*Yellow * chuckled: "You are all so serious. I bring laughter, gaiety and warmth into the . The is yellow, the is yellow, the stars are yellow. Every time you look at a the whole world starts to smile. Without me there would be no fun ."

*Orange * next started to blow its own trumpet, "I am the color of health and strength . I may be scarce but I am precious because I serve the inner needs of human life . I carry all the important vitamins. Think of the carrots, the pumpkins and the oranges . I don't hang around all the time, but when I fill the sky at sunrise , or give you a majestic , to admire, my beauty is so striking that no one ever gives another thought to any of you!"

*Red * could stand it no longer. Red shouted out, "I'm the ruler of you all. Blood, life's blood. I am the color of danger and bravery . I am willing to fight for a cause. I bring fire in the blood. Without me the would be as empty as the moon . I am the color of passion and of , the red , the poinsettia
    and the poppy."

*Purple 🩷* rose up to its full height. He was very tall and spoke with great pomp: "I am the color of royalty and power . Kings🫅🏻, chiefs and bishops have chosen me, for I am the sign of authority and of wisdom. People do not question me. They listen and obey."

*Indigo * spoke more quietly than the others, but just as determinedly. "Think of me , I am the color of silence . You hardly notice me but without me you all become superficial. I represent thought and reflection, twilight and deep waters You need me for balance and contrast, for prayer 🙇🏻‍♀️and inner peace."

And so all the colors went on boasting, each convinced that they were the best. Their quarrelling grew louder and louder. Suddenly there was a startling flashof brilliant white lightning; thunder rolled and boomed out. The suddenly Rain
started to pour down relentlessly. The colors all crouched down in fear, drawing close to one another for comfort.

*Then Rain spoke:* "You foolish colors, fighting amongst yourselves, each trying to dominate the other. Did you not know that the Creator made you all, each for a special purpose, unique and different. The Creator loves you all, he wants you all. Join hands with one another and come with me. He will stretch you across the sky in a great bow of color as a reminder that He loves you all, that you can live together in peace , a promise that he is with you, a sign of hope for all for tomorrow ."

So whenever He uses a good Rain to wash the world He puts the Rainbow in the sky, and when we see it we should remember that He wants us all to appreciate 👏🏻, and live with, each other in peace and not try to fight and dominate 🤜🏻 everyone.

  • "Desist from Claiming Mogaji Title!" – Olubadan Cautions Sarafadeen Olayiwola

His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin (Ige Olakulehin I), the Olubadan of Ibadanland, has formally disclaimed Engineer Sarafadeen Abdulrasaq Adekunle Olayiwola, warning him to stop identifying as the Mogaji of Otepola Ibidapo Family, Moganna Compound, Isale Bode, Ibadan.

This directive was contained in an official press statement issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Olubadan, Chief Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga.

According to the statement, the Chieftaincy Screening and Dispute Resolution Committee, during its sitting on November 20, 2024, determined that the certificate allegedly possessed by Engineer Olayiwola was forged and, therefore, null and void.

Further investigations revealed that he was never properly installed by any recognized traditional authority. Moreover, during the Olubadan-in-Council meeting held on Monday, May 19, 2025, multiple allegations of misconduct and grave impropriety were raised against him.

In view of these revelations, the Olubadan has ordered Engineer Sarafadeen Olayiwola to immediately desist from parading himself as Mogaji of the Otepola Ibidapo Family.

The monarch sternly warned that any further attempt to falsely assume the title will attract strict sanctions and possible legal prosecution.

  • PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU AND POLITICS OF LAGOS GOVERNORS

There Is no gain saying that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the architect of modern Lagos

Even if his supporters disagree with me , President Tinubu never had the best of relationships with all the people that he picked as Lagos State Governors

He did everything possible to stop Babatunde Raji Fashola from getting a second term. It was a fierced battle but against all odds BRF succeeded

He was opposed to BRF's nomination as a Minister but Muhammadu Buhari stood his ground Spy Nigeria recalls.

He fell out with Akinwumi Ambode and stopped his second term bid

Babajide Sanwo-Olu was smart enough, he remained a " good boy " , did his biddings inorder to also get a second term

If what is happening between them now happened during his first term , he would have kicked his second term good bye

It is also on records that Tinubu’s two deputies when he was Governor were impeached after they fell out with him

    1. Kofo Bucknor
    2. Femi Pedro

The question i am asking , Is the problem that of President Bola Tinubu or his loyalists ?
