A father saw that his 11-year-old son was crying silently. He asked him. "What's the matter, son?" The young boy replied. "My rich classmates mocked, called me son of a gardener. They said that my father lives only on the money he earns from watering and feeding plants for people" The father paused for a moment, then said. "Come with me son, let's plant some flowers. It might cheer you up" He held his hand and walked him to the garden, then he took out some flower seeds, and said. "Let's carry out an experiment. We will plant two flowers seperately. I will care for one, and you will care for the other. I will water mine with clean water from the lake but you will water yours with dirty water from the pond. We shall see the outcome in the weeks to come" The son was delighted as he joined his father in planting the flowers. It took them some days to finally germinate the flower seeds. They cared for them respectively and watched them grow. Later on, the father brought his son to the garden, and said to him. "Look at the two flowers and tell me your observation" The boy responded. "My flower looks better and healthier than yours. How is that even possible when your water is cleaner?" The father smiled, then said. "That's because dirty water doesn't stop a plant from growing, rather it serves as organic fertilizer to help it flourish. You see son, there are some people who put you down in life, mock your dreams, and throw dirt on you. Always remember that there's nothing wrong with you, it is their ego they have to satisfy. So, don't let the harsh words from people affect you, instead, let it encourage you into being a better person. And doing so, you will be like the plant and will flourish even in the midst of dirt like negativity and harsh words. 🤲💚❤️ Do have a blessed weekend

Dear Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia I am writing this to you personally with a heavy heart and grief for our home land. I could have said I am happy they attacked the Sankera communities, but the innocent lives of people destroyed is very disheartening and I cannot say I am not touched by their deaths. I need you to remember that you are a Reverend Father and many from all the zones in Benue State especially Zone C looked up to you for a renewed Benue State. From your actions and post in this incessant killings and attacks in the Benue communities, you have made it clear that you don't care about the people of Benue Zone C and anything that happens there is not your business. See, the earlier you realise that this attacks is a war declared on Benue State, the better for you. As a ordained minister of God, we expected you to be different but, you're here given us the same old and evil attitude from the past governments. Benue Zone C (Otukpo, Ado, Agatu, APA and Okpokwu) has been on fire because of this attacks and over 100 of lives were lost already, but you mentioned nothing about it or even took any Proactive measures to cub this situation. You're only make this political post because they attacked your people in Sankera. You're asking that people should report suspicious activities when they see one, but before the attacks in Sankera, people saw these militias and made posts online, with picture and video evidences, some even took precautionary measures by fleeing their homes to Makurdi and Gboko, but you were too busy to act and your media aids were all sleeping I guess. GOD IS WATCHING YOU. My Dear People of Benue, it's high time we take action as one voice in unity to defend our land because, our Government have failed us and there is no help for the common man. To my all my Tiv Brethren, this should be a sober reflection for us all. #WeAreInThisTogether #BenueToTheWorld #StopTheKillingsInBenue

LAGOS POLICE SPREADING FAKE NEWS IN FAILED BID TO COVER ITS ATROCIOUS FRAME-UP OF QUADRI ALABI. Our attention has been drawn to a false and provocative statement issued by the Lagos State Police Command in which the Command unsuccessfully attempted to mislead the public on the fabricated case they initiated against Quadri Alabi. The statement is not only laughable, it is ridiculous. It is embarrassing to see the police spread disinformation and fake news about an innocent Nigerian child. Nigerians will note that in our previous statements, we disclosed that our client was abducted by two ‘Area Boys’ named Lege and Baba Waris while he was on his way home from work and dumped at the Amukoko Divisional Police Station. These same Area Boys and their cohorts have been been harassing our client since 2023 in their effort to extort “their share” of the donations made to him after he stood in front of the convoy of Mr. Peter Obi. In its statement, the police claimed that Quadri was arrested in connection with street fighting. They also claimed that some properties were damaged, and that some persons were also robbed. According to the police, Quadri was identified by some people in the community and by the victims. First, we wish to restate that Quadri is not 18 years old as mischievously parroted by the police. He is 17 as contained in his birth certificate and attested to by his mother. He was born on the 29th day of September, 2007. Second, Quadri was not involved in street fighting and did not rob anyone, he also did not damage anyone’s property. Third, there was no time that our client was identified by any victim of the alleged crimes. The police should tell the public when and where the identification was done and the method used. How was Quadri identified by the alleged victims when no identification parade was conducted as required by law, given that the alleged offences were said to have been committed at about 10pm? Fourth, the police in their statement said that our client was arrested, but they failed to state who exactly arrested him and the place he was arrested. Their silence on these key points is quite revealing. Sixth, the so-called casemates of Quadri are adults who are not known to him. The police failed to disclose the relationship or connection between Quadri and the four adults who were remanded along with him. We should also state for the records that the police had detained Quadri for about a week in the police cell before unlawfully taking him before a Magistrate for remand. It is the law that once the permissible constitutional limit for detaining a suspect has passed, a subsequent order of remand cannot cure the infringement. It is preposterous that despite the Legal Advice issued by the Learned Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Lagos State exonerating Quadri, and his subsequent discharge by the Court, the Lagos State Police Command rather than exude remorse, has chosen the ignoble path of doubling down on its acts of perfidy, shamelessness, lawlessness, and utter contempt for justice and the truth. We condemn this gross act of recklessness and irresponsibility by the police. By taking this path, the Nigeria Police Force is reminding the country that it is very far from redemption. We shall meet the Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, the DPO of Amukoko CSP Olaniran Ismaila O., the IPO Inspector Odigbe Samuel, and others in the court in the coming days to seek redress and adequate compensation for Quadri. We will also file a formal complaint with the Police Service Commission against the lawless DPO of Amukoko. Nigeria is our country, we will not allow agents of impunity to get away with such abominable oppression of a Nigerian child. INIBEHE EFFIONG, ESQ. 19th April, 2025.

The prophecy of my greatest hero is being fulfilled today, and Gowon watches helplessly as his people are being slaughtered by his former friends and co-conspirators. I hope they rise to their feet and defend their land. Be that as it may, Igboland and Ndi-Igbo shall be saved. In this regard, the need to find the murderous enemies before they find us cannot be overstated. Agwo di na akirika. And you don't wait until it slithers into your bedroom. As it concerns the dreadful plot of the Fulani against the natives of the West African geography called Nigeria today, the intelligence of Igbo intelligentsia then and now remains accurate. See less
