  • *OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL*

    *DATE: MONDAY, AUGUST 4TH, 2025*

    *THEME: OVERFLOWING HEALTH*

    *MEMORISE:*
*“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” - (3 John 2)*

    *READ: Acts 5:14-16 (KJV)*

    14. And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women,

    15. so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them.

    16. Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.

    *MESSAGE:*

God's will is not just for us to be healthy but to overflow with health. You can be so healthy that when sick people touch you, they will become healed. The Lord Jesus was overflowing with health, which is why the woman with the issue of blood simply touched the hem of His garment and was healed *(Matthew 9:20-22).*

Years ago, a teenager who had sickle cell anaemia and had been sick all his life stood up to give a testimony in church. He said, "I heard that Daddy G.O. is coming to this church next Sunday. I want to testify that I will be healed next Sunday." Somebody called me to tell me the teenager's testimony, and I started praying that God would allow me to meet him. As God would have it, the young man was standing outside as I got to the church and came out of my car. He didn't look like a teenager at all; he looked so tiny. He came to me and said, "Daddy, I've been sick all my life, but I am confident that since you have come to this church today, I will be healed today." I hugged him and said, "It will be unto you according to your faith." I got his letter some months later, and he wrote, "Dear Daddy, I want to thank God, and I want to thank you. I have been healed since the day you came to our church."

Beloved, Jesus didn't just die for you to be healthy; He wants your health to overflow such that any sick person you lay hands on will become healed and healthy. He said in *Mark 16:17-18:*

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

In *(1 Peter 2:24),* the Bible says that Jesus paid for your health; this is why you must hate sicknesses and diseases passionately. Just as Peter's shadow healed the sick (Acts 5:15) and handkerchiefs taken from Paul's body drove out diseases from people *(Acts 19:12),* God wants you to overflow with health and become a channel of healing and health to others. I pray that you will live in constant health all the days of your life and that the healing anointing will flow through you to others, in Jesus' name.

    *PRAYER POINT:*
Father, please fill me with overflowing health so that I will never be sick again, and the sick will be healed through me, in Jesus' Name.

    *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:*
    Jeremiah 4-5

    *AUTHOR: PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE*

    *HYMN 7 - I AM THINE O LORD*

    1️⃣. I am Thine, O Lord
    I have heard Thy voice,
    And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.

    *CHORUS:*
Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
    To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
    To Thy precious, bleeding side.

2️⃣. Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord
By the power of grace divine
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

3️⃣. Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend!

4️⃣. There are depths of love that I cannot know
    Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.

  • ABY MAMA TRAP
    PART 1
The loud music from Club Lavish pounded in Onyinye’s ears as she stepped inside, the bass vibrating through her whole body. The air smelled like expensive perfume, sweat, and alcohol. She adjusted the tight red dress that clung to her curves, feeling both nervous and excited. Her best friends, Amaka and Chioma, had dragged her out tonight, saying, "Onyi, you’re too young to be sitting at home every weekend! Come and have fun!"
So here she was—Onyinye Obi, 24 years old, a bank teller with big dreams, standing in the middle of Asaba’s most popular nightclub. She wasn’t the type to do things like this. She was careful. She was smart. But tonight… tonight, she just wanted to forget about her problems.
    Then she saw him.
Tall. Dark. Handsome. Dressed in a black designer suit that screamed money. His gold Rolex glinted under the flashing club lights as he sipped his drink. He stood near the VIP section, surrounded by men who laughed too loud at everything he said—like he was some kind of king.
    Their eyes met.
A slow, confident smile spread across his face.
Onyinye quickly looked away, her heart beating fast. She knew who he was—Chief Kolawole Adebayo, a rich businessman, married with three kids. She had seen his family photos in Hello Nigeria magazine. His wife was beautiful, always dressed in expensive lace, smiling beside him at parties.
But right now, in this club, with the music thumping and the alcohol flowing, none of that mattered.
    He walked toward her.
And like a moth drawn to a flame, she let him.
    Three Hours Later
The hotel room was dark, the only light coming from the city outside the window. Onyinye lay in the soft bed, her body still humming from what had just happened. Chief Kolawole—no, Kola—lay beside her, his fingers tracing lazy circles on her bare arm.
"You’re so beautiful," he whispered, his voice deep and smooth. "I’ve never met a woman like you."
She knew she should feel guilty. She knew he had a wife at home. But in that moment, with his warm body pressed against hers, she let herself believe his lies.
"This doesn’t have to be a one-time thing," he said, kissing her shoulder. "We can keep seeing each other. Just you and me."
Onyinye’s heart fluttered. Was he serious?
    Then his phone rang.
The screen lit up—"WIFE" in bold letters.
Kolawole sighed, sitting up. He answered the call, his voice suddenly sweet, loving—completely different from the way he had just spoken to her.
"Yes, darling… No, I’m still at the meeting… I’ll be home soon."
He hung up and stood, pulling on his clothes without looking at her.
"I have to go,"* he said, tossing a few bills on the bedside table. *"For your taxi."
And just like that, he was gone.
Onyinye sat there, staring at the money, feeling ******. Used.
    What did I just do?
    Six Weeks Later
The bathroom was silent except for the sound of Onyinye’s shaky breaths. She stared at the little white stick in her hand, her stomach twisting in fear.
    Two pink lines.
    Pregnant.
Her mind raced. *How? They used protection… didn’t they?
She squeezed her eyes shut, remembering that night—the way Kolawole had whispered in her ear, the way he had made her feel special.
Now, she was carrying the baby of a man who didn’t even care about her.
A man who would *never* claim this child.

  • *THE RESTORER'S DAILY GUIDE*

    DATE: MONDAY 4TH AUGUST 2025

THEME: *THE DESTRUCTIVE POWER OF LYING*

    MEMORIZE
    Isaiah 28:17
Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

    READ
Isaiah 59:1-4 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you that he will not hear.
For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity and speak lies; they conceive mischief and bring forth iniquity.

    THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
*Lying habitually destroys God's image in men and replaces it with Satan's image.*

    MESSAGE
Yesterday, we saw that lies are temporal solutions to permanent problems and that all liars are Satan's children.

Today's text shows that one of the major hindrances to our prayers is the lying tongue. It is also confirmed in today's memory verse that those who take refuge in lies have no future in life and with God because God promised to destroy the refuge of lies.

Today, we shall consider the anatomy of lies and the destruction that the lying tongue causes.

It is worrisome that some people are pathological liars. In other words, their lying is abnormal. It has become a disease.

*To feel normal about lying is abnormal:* (especially as saints;) it is a deviation from a healthy or normal condition.

*Everyone who lies freely and habitually will gradually put on the nature of Satan and will also start looking like him spiritually speaking because Satan is the father of all liars.*

People tell lies for so many reasons.
Some lie because they do not believe in themselves. Jacob had to lie to fake an identity that was not his own.

Some lie because they seek credibility, which they lack.

Others lie because they are ignorant of the power of the truth. They do not know that truth is like God that cannot die.

No matter how long you bury the truth, it will rise again to speak for itself.

The Bible actually says we can do nothing against the truth but for the truth.

    *Liars are confirmed satanists.*

They are legal children of Satan. And if they continue without repentance, Satan, their father, will one day claim his own when the time comes.

*Those who tell lies freely and habitually gradually destroy every trace of God in their lives, until they start to look more like Satan in the realm of the spirit instead of God their maker.*

*Lying habitually destroys God's image in men and replaces it with Satan's image.*

Beloved, be determined by God's grace and mercy to break free from the bondage of the lying spirit today because all liars have only one destination, which is hell fire.

If you are a seed of Yahweh, then you have the ability to overcome the lying spirit. (1John 5:4;)

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you today in Jesus' name. Amen.

    ACTION STEPS
    1. Turn your life over to the Lord Jesus Christ for help today.
    2. Cry out to God for deliverance from the lying spirit now.
    3. Soak your spirit in the blood of Jesus Christ for total cleansing and purging from the lying spirit.

    PRAYERS
Dear heavenly Father, Thank you for today's devotional guide. Deliver me and help me to stay free from the lying spirit, keep me in the truth always in Jesus' name. Amen.

    REMEMBER
*Lying habitually destroys God's image in men and replaces it with Satan's image*

*THE RESTORER'S DAILY GUIDE* DATE: MONDAY 4TH AUGUST 2025 THEME: *THE DESTRUCTIVE POWER OF LYING* MEMORIZE Isaiah 28:17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place. READ Isaiah 59:1-4 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you that he will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity and speak lies; they conceive mischief and bring forth iniquity. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY *Lying habitually destroys God's image in men and replaces it with Satan's image.* MESSAGE Yesterday, we saw that lies are temporal solutions to permanent problems and that all liars are Satan's children. *Everyone who lies freely and habitually will gradually put on the nature of Satan and will also start looking like him spiritually speaking because Satan is the father of all liars.* People tell lies for so many reasons. Some lie because they do not believe in themselves. Jacob had to lie to fake an identity that was not his own. Some lie because they seek credibility, which they lack. Chief Bola Ige was killed to jettison the voice of reasoning, the cry and loud voice for restructuring, which he championed and was prepared to die for if necessary – he contested for the Office of the President against former President Olusegun Obasanjo-Atiku led administration.

He would make restructuring – Regional Autonomy- the nucleus of his campaign. Chief Bola Ige was raised in the North and spoke fluently, all major Nigerian Languages including Igbo, Yoruba, and Hausa.

Chief Bola Ige gave a 90 minutes speech in Atlanta about his intention to restructure Nigeria through regional autonomy.
This is why the enemies of restructuring and of the Yoruba Nation killed him.

However, his death shall not be in vain. He is crying from the grave and saying that the Yoruba Nation or restructuring into regional autonomy must be realized for peace to reign in Nigeria.

  • Army Chief probes viral video on alleged poor feeding of Troops

The Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede has ordered an investigation into the viral video of soldiers expressing frustration over poor feeding by operational commanders.

In the viral video, some soldiers could be seen displaying food items allegedly sent to them by their higher command, suggesting dissatisfaction with the quality and quantity of the foodstuffs.

Reacting to the video, the acting Director, Army Public Relations, Lt.-Col. Appolonia Anele, said it is being treated with the highest level of seriousness.

Anele assured both personnel and the general public that while the authenticity and context of the video were yet to be fully ascertained, the matter was being treated with the seriousness it deserved.

“Consequently, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has ordered a thorough and detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

In line with his commitment to transparency and accountability, the outcome of the investigation will be made public upon conclusion,” she assured

According to the Acting Director, the COAS reiterated that troops’ welfare remains his topmost priority, in line with his Command philosophy.

The statement encouraged personnel to utilise established and appropriate military channels to present their concerns or complaints, especially on welfare services.

“The use of unauthorised platforms to express grievances, particularly on operational matters, is highly discouraged and considered a breach of military ethics and discipline,” he warned.

He, therefore, reassured all personnel of Nigerian Army and the public that he will continue to uphold the highest standards of leadership accountability, troops welfare and institutional integrity in fulfilment of its constitutional mandate.

“The wellbeing and effectiveness of the Nigerian soldier remain central to our ongoing transformation efforts and operational success,” the COAS assured.
