  • Chief Bola Ige was killed by enemies within to jettison or extinguish the realization of Regional Autonomy referred to as the Restructuring of the Nigerian State.

Chief Bola Ige was killed to jettison the voice of reasoning, the cry and loud voice for restructuring, which he championed and was prepared to die for if necessary – he contested for the Office of the President against former President Olusegun Obasanjo-Atiku led administration.

He would make restructuring – Regional Autonomy- the nucleus of his campaign. Chief Bola Ige was raised in the North and spoke fluently, all major Nigerian Languages including Igbo, Yoruba, and Hausa.

Chief Bola Ige gave a 90 minutes speech in Atlanta about his intention to restructure Nigeria through regional autonomy.
This is why the enemies of restructuring and of the Yoruba Nation killed him.

However, his death shall not be in vain. He is crying from the grave and saying that the Yoruba Nation or restructuring into regional autonomy must be realized for peace to reign in Nigeria.

  • Army Chief probes viral video on alleged poor feeding of Troops

The Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede has ordered an investigation into the viral video of soldiers expressing frustration over poor feeding by operational commanders.

In the viral video, some soldiers could be seen displaying food items allegedly sent to them by their higher command, suggesting dissatisfaction with the quality and quantity of the foodstuffs.

Reacting to the video, the acting Director, Army Public Relations, Lt.-Col. Appolonia Anele, said it is being treated with the highest level of seriousness.

Anele assured both personnel and the general public that while the authenticity and context of the video were yet to be fully ascertained, the matter was being treated with the seriousness it deserved.

“Consequently, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has ordered a thorough and detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

In line with his commitment to transparency and accountability, the outcome of the investigation will be made public upon conclusion,” she assured

According to the Acting Director, the COAS reiterated that troops’ welfare remains his topmost priority, in line with his Command philosophy.

The statement encouraged personnel to utilise established and appropriate military channels to present their concerns or complaints, especially on welfare services.

“The use of unauthorised platforms to express grievances, particularly on operational matters, is highly discouraged and considered a breach of military ethics and discipline,” he warned.

He, therefore, reassured all personnel of Nigerian Army and the public that he will continue to uphold the highest standards of leadership accountability, troops welfare and institutional integrity in fulfilment of its constitutional mandate.

“The wellbeing and effectiveness of the Nigerian soldier remain central to our ongoing transformation efforts and operational success,” the COAS assured.

  • Breaking News: Sanwo-Olu Bans New 57 Lagos Council Chairmen from Appointing Supervisors, SAs — Only Chief of Staff Allowed

    –Lagos Reporters

The Lagos State Government has ordered all newly elected chairmen across the 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) to suspend the appointment of political office holders, including Supervisors, Special Advisers (SAs), and Senior Special Assistants (SSAs).

The directive was conveyed in an official circular dated July 31, 2025, with reference number MLG/LGA/C.27/S./VOL.XIV/496, and signed by Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development.

According to the circular, the instruction reflects the direct order of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who emphasized the need for discipline and focused administration during the recent swearing-in ceremony of council chairmen.

The circular made it clear that only the appointment of Chief of Staff is permitted at this stage, while all other appointments must be paused.

“I write to refer to the directive of Mr. Governor at the swearing-in ceremony in respect of the appointment of Political Office Holders in the Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas, particularly the Supervisors, Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants,” the letter read.

“I am to reiterate that the appointment of the Chief of Staff is the only appointment approved/permissible as you assume office, while other appointments should be stepped down until further directive.”

In a firm instruction to ensure compliance, the circular warned that any appointments already made beyond the Chief of Staff must be reversed immediately.

“You are enjoined to note the above and revert any appointment that has been made except the Chief of Staff,” Bolarinwa added.

The move is widely seen as an effort by the Sanwo-Olu administration to maintain control, reduce waste, and align local council operations with broader state policies during the early phase of their tenure.

Lagos Reporters will continue to monitor compliance across all 57 local councils and provide updates on any violations, reversals, or policy changes as they unfold.
