• Life is full of surprises. One moment everything is fine, and the next moment, everything can change. That’s why it’s important to live each day with love, peace, and gratitude. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring, so we must learn to let go of anger and hold on to what truly matters.

Staying angry for too long only hurts your own heart. Anger steals your peace and joy. It keeps you stuck in pain while life moves on. Learn to forgive not because people always deserve it, but because your heart deserves peace. Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself. It frees your heart and makes space for happiness. The time you spend being upset could be spent smiling, laughing, and making memories. Life is too short to waste on grudges and fights that, in the end, don’t matter as much as we think they do.

Love with all of your heart. Express your feelings. Show people you care. Life is too short to hide your love or take people for granted. Tell your loved ones you appreciate them. Hug them. Laugh with them. Make memories that last.

Don’t waste time trying to please everyone. Not everyone will like you and that’s okay. Stop worrying about those who judge or ignore you. Focus on those who love you, who support you, care for you, and who bring peace to your life.

Enjoy the small moments. Smile often. Be kind. Life is fragile and precious. We don’t get to know how much time we have, but we do get to choose how we spend it.

So live with kindness. Love deeply. Forgive freely. Let go of grudges. Celebrate the people who bring you joy. Because in the end, it’s not about how many days we live, but how well we live the days we are given.

  • LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON.

This boy has a mysterious charm that baffles me; he does things far beyond his age. After his presentation at the launch of Mallam Garba Shehu's book, instead of simply walking away from the stage, this boy chose a different route. He went to where the VIPs were seated and boldly, yet respectfully, stretched out his tiny hand to them.

It was so heartwarming that the General Yakubu Gowon stood up to shake hands with this little angel—you can't take humility away from General Gowon. When he reached the 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, Muhammadu folded his fist in salutation. How he knew that Emirs rarely take handshakes is a mystery, but the Emir broke protocol to shake the boy's hand!

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar called the boy for a special photo, and Senator Akume also rose to give him a hug, recognizing this Imane-born prince.

Prof. Yemi Osinbajo was all smiles as the boy called him 'my professor'!

For my son Muhammadu Buhari, it was a beautiful outing as he shone in the awesome grace of God.

    Beautifully musing.

  • Why It Sucks to Be Born as a Hyena?

You’re born into a warzone… and your first enemy is your own twin.

Welcome to the hyena clan — where life begins not with a lullaby, but a deathmatch.

Hyena cubs are born with their eyes open and teeth already in place. No waiting. No bonding. Just violence. If you’re one of two, your first instinct isn’t to cuddle — it’s to kill your sibling before they kill you. Because in this family, the nursery is a gladiator pit.

And even if you win? Congratulations — you're still born female. Which sounds cute until you learn that female hyenas are more aggressive, more dominant, and more terrifying than the males. They rule the clan. They eat first. They get the best of everything… except one thing.

    Birth.

Because hyena girls are born with something horrifying: a pseudo-penis. It’s not just for show — it’s what they give birth through. You read that right. They give birth through a long, narrow, penis-like birth canal that often tears apart their own bodies. Up to 60% of first-time hyena moms die giving birth.

You finally escape your mother’s death canal of doom, and now what? Now you have to fight for milk. There’s no sharing. If your mom has two cubs and not enough to go around? One dies. Usually the weaker one. Or the slightly smaller one. Or the one that blinked first.

Then you grow up — and the cycle doesn’t stop. You’ll hunt in packs, rip apart prey while it’s still screaming, and scavenge what lions leave behind. You’re smart. Tactical. Fearless. But everyone still calls you “ugly,” “evil,” or “nature’s villain.”

People say you're a joke. A dirty scavenger.

    But you're not laughing.

    You're surviving.

Not every predator gets glamorized. Some just get judged. But if you were born into a world where your first challenge was surviving your sister, you wouldn’t be laughing either.

  • What no one told me about marriage before I enter that I want to tell you.

This is for those planning to marry or those who just got married.
If you are open-minded, you can still read.
    Nobody knows it all.

    1. Immediately you get married, even before having a baby, go and register your family for health insurance.
NHIS is one of the common ones and the most available in hospitals.
It will save you a lot.
There are some things the rich won’t tell you.
With NHIS, you can walk into any hospital and get treated cheap depending on the package.
A friend of mine once did an operation and all he paid was ₦10k something that would have cost ₦400k.

    2. Have a family doctor very very important.
See, no church will tell you this.
Even if you don’t have money for a family doctor, have someone you can call in case of emergency.
Especially a pediatrician when you start having kids.

    3. Also, have a family lawyer.
Recently, our family lawyer saved us over ₦500k in rent that I wanted to forfeit.
But because she stepped in and did her job, money was refunded seamlessly.

    4. If you can afford it, have at least one domestic staff.
Someone that can at least help ease the work in the house for you and madam.
My brother, ejiro kwa afufu anya isi.
    Get help if you can.

    5. Buy things in bulk.
The reason I live like a wealthy man today is because I buy everything I need down to toothpaste in bulk.
You spend more buying in bits than when you buy in bulk.
That’s one of the reasons I created my sharing platform to enable family men and women with common goals.
There is nothing we don’t share. Some of you reading this are in that group.

    6. Pay your children’s school fees before school resumes.
As I’m talking to you now, I’ve already sent SGM the kids’ school fees that’ll be paid in September.
I don’t have to worry about it again.
    It helps me plan myself.
Do everything possible to pay school fees before resumption. You won’t know what you’re doing until money goes on leave from your side.

    7. Strive to have passive income.
Something that can generate at least ₦3-5k every day.
No matter what try and get something like that.
It will save you from a lot of stress.

    8. See the friends and circle your kids will have tomorrow everything depends on the school they attend.
This one is very, very important.
Even if you don’t have money, find a way to send your children to one of the best schools.
You won’t realise what you’re doing until they come of age.

9.I learnt this one from my dad always have family meetings.
You, your wife, and your kids no matter how small they are.
Discuss problems, solutions, and way forward.
Allow the kids air their opinions.

    Ask the kids:
Is there something mummy and daddy are doing that they don’t like?

    Same thing with your wife.
Talk about what you both can do to have a stable and loving family.
This helps in uniting the family.

Every month is fine or even every 6 months.
Just make it a habit and a culture.
It’ll become a memory that sticks for the kids, and for you and madam too.

Everyone’s opinion in the family matters.
And as the man, it’s your job to hear everybody’s opinion and choose the best way to run the family.

This isn’t just for the man alone madam can initiate it too. There’s no perfect formula, yes. But this one I listed? It works every time.
I repeat if you try it, you’ll save yourself a lot of unnecessary headache and stress.
You can add yours... enjoy your weekend.

  • *OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL*

    *DATE: SATURDAY, JULY 12TH, 2025*

    *THEME: A SIMPLE PRAYER*

    *MEMORISE:*
*“And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.” - (Mark 1:35)*

    *READ: James 5:16-18 (KJV)*

    16. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

    17. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.

    18. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

    *MESSAGE:*

Some years ago, a man's wife ran mad, and she was taken to a herbalist for treatment. After being with the herbalist for so long, she didn't get any better; rather, she only grew worse. Somebody told me about the situation, and I decided to go and pray for the woman. When I got there, I said a simple prayer and left. After I left, some people contacted her husband and said, "This man came and prayed for only two minutes. Two minutes of prayer for this kind of problem?!" Since they didn't believe that the prayer worked, they decided to take her to a psychiatric hospital. When they got there, the specialist said, "Let us observe this woman for a while so we can know the type of medication to administer to her." After two weeks, the specialist sent for her husband and told him, "If you say there is something wrong with this woman, then there must be something wrong with you." With no medication and just a simple prayer, she was healed completely.

In *(1 Kings 18:36-38),* Elijah's prayer that brought down fire must have just been for a few minutes. When ministers of God say simple prayers and great miracles happen, it is because they have spent hours with God in secret. When Jesus walked on the earth, He only had to speak once for every miracle He performed to happen. However, the Bible records in many instances that He would retreat from His disciples and other people to go to a solitary place to pray, just as we see in today's memory verse. This is the secret to simple prayers that carry so much power.

Every time Elijah prayed in the Bible, his prayers were short and very effective. In *(2 Kings 1:9-12),* when he decreed that fire should fall from heaven and consume the two captains and the soldiers they were in charge of, it was with a few words, "If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven and consume thee and thy fifty." Today's Bible reading tells us the secret behind those simple but powerful decrees - Elijah was a man like us who prayed earnestly and fervently, and God answered him *(James 5:17).* If you want to pray simple but powerful prayers in public, you must labour fervently and earnestly in prayers in the secret place. Profound public results are only birthed by intense secret sacrifices.

    *KEY POINT:*
The simple but powerful prayers that birth great miracles result from intense fellowship with God in secret.

    *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:*
    Ecclesiastes 9-12

    *AUTHOR: PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE*

*HYMN 22 - SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER! SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER!*

    1. Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Father's throne
    Make all my want and wishes known;
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief,
And oft escaped the tempter's snare,
By the return, sweet hour of prayer.

    2. Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
The joy I feel, the bliss I share,
Of those whose anxious spirits burn
With strong desires for thy return!
With such I hasten to the place,
Where God my Savior shows His face,
And gladly take my station there,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer.

    3. Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
Thy wings shall my petition bear,
To Him whose truth and faithfulness
    Engage the waiting soul to bless;
And since He bids me seek His face,
Believe His word and trust His grace,
I'll cast on Him my every care,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer.
*OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL* *DATE: SATURDAY, JULY 12TH, 2025* *THEME: A SIMPLE PRAYER* 🙏🙏🙏 *MEMORISE:* *“And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.” - (Mark 1:35)* *READ: James 5:16-18 (KJV)* 16. *MESSAGE:* Some years ago, a man's wife ran mad, and she was taken to a herbalist for treatment. *KEY POINT:* The simple but powerful prayers that birth great miracles result from intense fellowship with God in secret. *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* Ecclesiastes 9-12 *AUTHOR: PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE* *HYMN 22 - SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER! SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER!* 1. Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer! That calls me from a world of care, And bids me at my Father's throne Make all my want and wishes known; In seasons of distress and grief, My soul has often found relief, And oft escaped the tempter's snare, By the return, sweet hour of prayer. 2. Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer! The joy I feel, the bliss I share, Of those whose anxious spirits burn With strong desires for thy return! With such I hasten to the place, Where God my Savior shows His face, And gladly take my station there, And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer. 3. Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer! Thy wings shall my petition bear, To Him whose truth and faithfulness Engage the waiting soul to bless; And since He bids me seek His face, Believe His word and trust His grace, I'll cast on Him my every care, And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer.
