Former Kogi West Senator Dino Melaye has claimed that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been “purchased” by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Melaye made the allegation while speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday night, a day after submitting his resignation letter to PDP.

As the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, swore in a total of 1,033 corps members in Edo State, the agency has called for an improved welfare package for those serving in the state.
DAILY POST reports that Dr Frances Ben-Ushie, the state coordinator of the corps, made the appeal on Friday during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream I corps members.

Operatives of the Bauchi Police Command have arrested a 20-year-old university student, Sadiq Abubakar, and two others for allegedly conspiring to steal and sell a tipper truck valued at ₦30 million belonging to his father.
According to a statement issued by the command’s spokesman, CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, the incident was reported on July 25, 2025, by the truck owner, Alhaji Rabiu Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of Arabab Investment Limited.
