BENUE, WE WEEP WITH YOU
Benue…
Your rivers run red, not with wine, but with blood.
Your harvests, once full, now echo with silence.
Children who once played beneath your mango trees
Now sleep beneath the earth, too soon, too cold.
O Benue, bride of the Middle Belt,
What wrong have you done to deserve such pain?
You fed the nation, yet now you hunger
For justice, for peace, for just one more sunrise without sorrow.
Mothers clutch empty wrappers where babies once lay.
Fathers dig graves instead of planting yams.
And the wind carries no laughter now—
Only names being whispered to heaven.
How long, Lord?
"Arise, O Lord; lift up Your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless." (Psalm 10:12)
We cry not just for the land, but for the souls.
Souls that knew no crime, yet paid the price.
Benue bleeds.
But the world must not look away.
Let hearts from Asia to the Americas,
From Europe to the Isles of the Pacific,
Pause and weep with you.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." (Matthew 5:4)
Comfort, Lord. Let it fall like rain.
Let angels stand guard where government has failed.
Let mercy rise like the morning sun.
To every widow, every orphan, every trembling soul
You are not forgotten.
Your pain is etched in eternity.
And though men forget, God never will.
Benue, we stand with you.
We kneel with you.
We lift our hands in prayer and protest,
And we say with all that is in us—
You will rise again.

Miracle Baby Born While Mother Remains on Life Support Since February
A baby boy named Chance has been born under heartbreaking circumstances.
Delivered on Friday, June 13, through an emergency C-section at just 32 weeks, he weighed only 1 pound and 13 ounces.
His arrival is being called a miracle — a symbol of hope for a grieving family.
Chance’s mother, Adriana Smith, was a 30-year-old nurse from Atlanta, Georgia.
Earlier this year, during her pregnancy, she began experiencing severe headaches and migraines.
Despite raising concerns, her pain was not taken seriously. Doctors later discovered she had developed bl00d clots in her brain — a condition that quickly became fatal.
In February 2025, Adriana was declared legally d£@d — just 8 to 9 weeks into her pregnancy.
However, due to Georgia state law, she was not allowed to be taken off life support because she was carrying a baby.
Her family had no legal power to decide otherwise. For months, they were forced to watch Adriana’s body kept alive by machines solely for the baby’s survival, while also facing growing medical bills.
Adriana leaves behind a 7-year-old son who still believes his mother is only sleeping.
Her mother, April Newkirk, says these past months have been filled with pain, prayer, and the hope that Chance would make it.
