Panic erupted in Liverpool city centre after a car drove through a crowd of fans celebrating the club’s Premier League title win on Water Street.
The incident occurred shortly after 6pm on Monday, May 26, when the vehicle struck numerous pedestrians. Shocking video footage shows the aftermath, with several fans on the ground and police surrounding the car, which eventually came to a stop in the middle of the street.
According to eyewitnesses, the car appeared to slow down and then accelerate multiple times before halting. Bystanders rushed toward the vehicle in an attempt to stop the driver before police intervened, dispersing the crowd and taking control of the scene.
A man was arrested at the scene, Merseyside Police confirmed, and the driver remained with the vehicle after the collision. Emergency services, including paramedics from North West Ambulance Service, responded and are currently treating the injured.

Cpl Nonso Muoemenam who gallantly bowed out of the battle last week at RAAN Borno State in an encounter against ISWAP. According to reports, he was sabotaged by repentant Boko Haram who removed the firing pin underbelly battery to his Armoured Car. Getting disappointed as an ISWAP Commander and his men closed up on him, he had no option than to detonate his grenade which killed him and the enemies.
