To succeed is a right intention, but the
motivation to succeed may be wrong...
*[NLT- Ecclesiastes 4:4 Then I observed that most people are motivated to succeed because they envy their neighbors. But this, too, is meaningless-like chasing the wind.]*
Some pray to be blessed by God "so that my enemies shall be put to shame." Others strive to succeed 'so that my mates will respect me.'
Still others, become diligent "so that I'l be greater than my mate." These are not proper motivations for success.
Beloved, as you strive for excellence unto the glory of our excellent God, may the grace to excel be multiplied unto you, in Jesus' name.

A child can not claim to love the parent. He does not obey. So can we not claim to love the Lord if we refuse to obey Him wholly...
*[NLT- John 14:31, but I will do what the Father requires of me so that the world will know that I love the Father. Come, let's be going.]*
Jesus proved His love for the Father by obeying even unto death. If we're accused of "serving," God, just because of what we would gain, what would be our proof that we love the Lord?
Beloved, let's keep on obeying the Lord no matter the case, no matter the cost. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

The love of a father for the family manifests in his provision and protection for the home. This is a reflection of how God loves us. We see His love or all He does...
*[NLT- Psm 103:17 But THE LOVE OF THE LORD remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children's children]*
For all who fear the Lord, this love abides continually. So, to continually enjoy the love of God, we should allow the fear of the Lord to guide every decision of ours.

It is in human nature to desire being praised and complemented. We must, however, beware of those who sing our praises solely with a selfish intention..
*[NLT- Jude 1:16 These people are grumblers and complainers, living only to satisfy their desires. They brag loudly about themselves, and THEY FLATTER OTHERS TO GET WHAT THEY WANT.]*
Every eulogy made for us should be received with a "pinch of salt." If it doesn't get one proud and full of one's self, it may get one poor from giving out what you never intended.
Beloved, let's watch out for those boot-lickers who praise us lavishly. May divine wisdom guide our choice of allies and line of actions! God

Don't be pressured to accept an offer or gift if you know in your spirit that it is not proper or the right time..
*[John 6:15 Perceiving then that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, Jesus withdrew again to the mountain by Himself.]*
Also, positions accepted at a wrong time could derail one from his vision, and gifts received in error can ruin a man's destiny.

The feeling of fear is human and normal, but the refusal to act because you're afraid is the evil challenge..
*[NLT- Ezra 3:3 Even though the people were afraid of the local residents, they rebuilt the altar at its old site. Then, they began to sacrifice burnt offerings on the altar to the Lord each morning and evening.]*
Doing the needful is not often without fear, but we must choose to do it anyway. The fear of possible attack did not stop these people from
rebuilding the altar of the Lord as it ought to be built.
What is that project you're scared of venturing? Pray, be led, and do it while afraid. You'll discover it isn't as scary afteral!
