Have an actual dialogue with “today” and command it

  • Discipline Over Procrastination: A Life- Changing Choice!

    Hey friends,

Today, I want to share a powerful decision that has transformed my life: choosing discipline over procrastination.

Procrastination is like a comfortable trap, always tempting us with short-term escapes from our responsibilities. But I've learned that yielding to it only delays our dreams and aspirations.

On the other hand, discipline is our steadfast ally. It empowers us to take consistent action, even when motivation is low. It's the key to unlocking our full potential and achieving the life we envision.

Imagine starting each day with purpose, knowing that every step you take is another building block toward your dreams. It’s not always easy, but it's worth it!

    Here’s what I've discovered:
Small Wins Matter: Every small task completed builds momentum. Celebrate those victories!

Consistent Action: Progress is about showing up every day, even when it's tough.
Clarity & Focus: Discipline helps prioritize what truly matters, allowing us to focus on our goals.

Long-term Success: Procrastination may offer a quick fix, but discipline builds lasting achievements.

Let’s make the decision to embrace discipline and shape our futures with intention and determination. The journey might be challenging, but the rewards are deeply fulfilling.

Who's with me on this path to greatness? Let's support each other and share our progress!

    DATE: SUNDAY 1ST JUNE 2025

    THEME: GRATITUDE

    MEMORISE
    Psalms 92:1
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:

    READ
    Psalms 92:1-6, 9-10
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.
For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.
A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.
For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

    THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
*It is a good thing to give thanks to God always.*

    MESSAGE
Happy New Month to you and your family beloved, welcome to the sixth month of the year.

According to our text today, gratitude is a good thing that begets good things as a reward in our lives.

When you are genuinely grateful for God's faithfulness in your life, He enlists you for greater glory ahead.

It is an established fact that only a handful of people are thankful because you have to be thoughtful to be thankful.

Only a handful of people are thoughtful enough to be thankful for all of God's faithfulness.

The story of the ten lepers in Luke 17 readily comes to mind, Jesus cleansed ten undeserving lepers who were ostracized and excommunicated from their families and friends because of their highly contagious disease.

Only one was thoughtful enough to return with gratitude. And the remaining nine of them went away like that. They probably thought it was a coincidence. This is the irony of life.

A wise man once said: only great fools are ungrateful.
Today is the first day of the sixth month of the year. Be thoughtful enough to be grateful today because God has been faithful in keeping you alive in spite of your inadequacies and weaknesses.

It is a good thing to give thanks always.

    ACTION STEPS
    1. Ensure that you are in church today to praise and worship God for His mercies and goodness.
    2. Remain thankful always to appreciate God for the gift of life.

    PRAYERS
Dear heavenly Father, Thank you for today's devotional guide. Thank you for the privilege of being alive. Forgive me for every sin of ingratitude. And help me to stay thoughtful enough to be grateful always in Jesus' name. Amen.

    REMEMBER
*It is a good thing to give thanks to God always.*

    AUTHOR: JEDIDIAH DAVID

DAILY READING: Ezekiel 11-12, John 8-9.

    HYMN
Holy, Holy, Holy ! Lord God Almighty !
    Early in the morning, our song shall rise to Thee ;
Holy, Holy, Holy ! Merciful and mighty !
God in Three Persons, blessed Trinity !

    2
Holy, Holy, Holy ! all the saints adore Thee,
    Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea ;
Cherubim and Seraphim falling down before Thee,
Which wert, and art, and evermore shall be.

    3
Holy, Holy, Holy ! though the darkness hide Thee,
Though the eye of sinful man
Thy glory may not see :
Only Thou art holy, there is none beside Thee,
Perfect in power, in love, and purity.

    4
Holy, Holy, Holy ! Lord God Almighty !
    All Thy works shall praise
    Thy name in earth, and sky,and sea ;
Holy, Holy, Holy ! Merciful and Mighty !

  • MEN, Listen Carefully

    1. Respect yourself first. The moment you lose self-respect, you become a pawn in someone else's game.

    2. Your appearance is your first impression. Invest in yourself, hit the gym, dress well—not for them, but for you. Confidence follows discipline.

    3. Master self-control. A man who can control his cravings for sex and food has already conquered most of his weaknesses. Discipline is the key to power.

    4. Your friends have battles too. Stop expecting them to always come through. Everyone is fighting a war you don’t see.

    5. If you put her on a pedestal, she will look down on you. A king doesn’t beg for loyalty; he earns it through strength and purpose.

    6. Betrayal always comes from those closest to you. Be wise with trust. Your worst scars won’t come from strangers.

    7. They will mock you, doubt you, and dismiss you—until you succeed. Keep building. Let success be your response.

    8. Temporary sacrifices lead to permanent stability. Missing out on fun today is not a loss if it guarantees a better future.

    9. Weak men seek pleasure, strong men seek purpose. Build, create, and contribute—don’t just consume.

    10. A true man doesn't beg for love, attention, or respect. He commands it through his actions and presence.

    11. Your time and energy are valuable. Don’t waste them on lazy, entitled people who bring nothing to the table.

    12. A woman can sense a weak man from miles away. Once she detects neediness, you’ve lost her respect. Don’t chase—lead.

    13. If she isn’t afraid to lose you, you are replaceable in her eyes. Become the kind of man she values, not the one she tolerates.

    14. Life is ruthless. One wrong move and you can lose years of progress. Move with caution and wisdom.

    15. Never negotiate desire. If you have to beg for love, respect, or attention—it’s already gone. Walk away with your dignity intact.

    16. Your mental health is your responsibility. When you're down, accept reality, strategize, and rise stronger. No one is coming to save you.

    17. Never lower your standards to accommodate mediocrity. Protect your peace and purpose at all costs.

    18. Pain is the best teacher. Bad days make good days more valuable. Learn from every struggle.

    19. In this world, respect is earned, not given. Be the kind of man people look up to, not the one they pity.

    20. A man with a mission is unstoppable. Find your purpose, chase it relentlessly, and let nothing distract you.

  • Have you ever wondered?
One day, could everything we own – our wealth, our job, our social status – be nothing more than a temporary illusion?

    So, what truly defines you?
Is it the character you show in difficult times?
A word of hope you share with others?
Or simply being able to say, “I left a good mark on this world,” even if just for one day?

    Ask yourself this today:
Am I truly sure about what’s permanent in my life?
