“God shows his love for us.

Brethren: God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. While we were yet helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. Why, one will hardly die for a righteous man — though perhaps for a good man one will dare even to die. But God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we are now justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbours, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost. ’ Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.”

PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL

Celebrant:

Gathered as one body of Christ on this solemnity of the sacred heart of Jesus, let us pray that our hearts may be filled with a sincere love for God and one another.

FOR THE LEADERS OF THE CHURCH: That they, aware of their missionary identity, may strive to follow Christ faithfully and to proclaim his gospel to all peoples. Let us pray to the lord.

FOR CIVIL LEADERS: that they may strive towards building a nation in which the freedom of each person to worship according to the dictates of his or her conscience is guaranteed. Let us pray to the Lord.

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE LOST FAITH CHRIST: that they, like the lost sheep, may be redirected to the heart of Jesus, where they will dwell forever. Let us pray to the Lord.

FOR OUR CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY: that we may hunger and thirst for Jesus in the most holy Eucharist and be fed and nourished by him. Let us pray to the Lord.

TODAY’S REFLECTION

In today’s Gospel, the good shepherd goes in search of the lost sheep, and, after finding it, rejoices with his neighbours. Through this parable, Jesus reveals his compassionate love towards those who go astray.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus is also a symbol of God’s tender love, compassion and mercy. Although we claim to have faith in the Sacred Heart, we sometimes hold the mistaken belief that God is like a policeman, watching our every move and punishing us when we fail.

Our devotion to the sacred Heart of Jesus should lead us rather to trust more in the love and forgiveness of God, who desires our salvation and well- being. As disciples of Christ, we should also make an effort to become more compassionate and forgiving towards those who go astray.

PERSONAL DEVOTIONAL

“But because of our sins he was wounded, beaten because of the evil we did. We are healed by the punishment he suffered, made whole by the blows he received.” Isaiah 53:5

- Pray for God to give you the grace to accept the reality of persecution in Christian faith.

- Father, destroy every spirit of fear in my life.

- O Lord Jesus, banish every ignorance and sentiments within me that makes me to get discouraged when persecution comes.

Dear Lord, do not let me be separated from you because of hardship, persecution, hunger, poverty, danger or death. Help me to remain faithful to you. (Pray seriously).

Not all problems are spiritual — some are relational and emotional. Fasting and prayer are powerful, but if you’ve wronged someone, healing starts with humility, accountability, and an apology.

God may forgive you, but the people you hurt deserve your honest repentance and efforts to make things right. Saying “I’m sorry” is sometimes the most spiritual act you can do.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
*Gratitude is the master key for your total restoration.*

MESSAGE
Restoration is to bring back a thing or a person into their original place, form, or shape.

It involves renewal, revival, renovation, refurbishment, etc.
God's greatest passion and obsession is your total restoration. He wants your spirit revived, your soul renewed, and your body restored. He wants your whole family restored into His original purpose in predestination. And He wants all your wasted years, stolen blessings, opportunities, and privileges restored.

The path leading to total restoration begins with genuine repentance and total turning to God for help, but it involves some other spiritual dynamics that are vitally important, ie the blood of Jesus Christ, Col 1:20, the word of God, Psalms 102:16, Acts 20:32, etc.

Essentially, from today's text, it involves gratitude to God for all He has done for you. God perfects all imperfect works in our lives when we give Him thanks genuinely for all that He has done for us.

Ten lepers were cleansed, but only one returned back to show gratitude for his healing. And to this one, the Lord said: "...go thy way, thy faith hath made thee whole"

When a leper is healed or cleansed, the marks of leprosy still remains, for instance, the affected parts of the body eaten up by the disease will remain: but to be made whole could mean that every part that was eaten up or affected were fully restored. This can only be the work of Grace made possible by gratitude.

God preserves, protects, and perfects whatever we glorify and appreciate Him sincerely for.

Beloved, if you want to see God do beyond what He has already done in your life, learn to testify to His goodness, especially in the congregation.

When we testify publicly, we are showing forth God's glory and praise.

This further magnifies God's greatness before His people to let others put their trust in God.

1. Count your blessings, name them one by one. List all the things God did that you haven't testified about yet.
2. Go and testify about them in your church. You might need to do a Thanksgiving in some cases.

What is in love that engenders breakthrough? Please, listen.

1. Our love for God enhances access to revelation. Every true lover of God accesses revelation without stress. Revelation is not a product of mental exertion. Deuteronomy 29:29. Genesis 18:17. "Abraham, come. The cry of Sodom and Gomorrah has ascended to me and I've come here to destroy them" I mean, your love for God and my love for God makes us His confidant. Church Gist. He confides in us, He unveils to us what others may not access. John 15:15. Revelation flows like a river in the life of true lovers of Jesus. It flows like a river, revelation flows like a river and what is it? Behind every supernatural turnaround is access to revelation. Isaiah 60:1-3. So, when you are in love, you gain natural access to revelations. You are not struggling, when you take your Bible, light flows. Church Gist. You take a book to read, light, wow! Because you are in love. Thank you, Jesus. 2 Corinthians 3:18. Revelation changes our stories from one level of glory to another.

2. Love empowers our faith to deliver maximally. Why? Faith works by love. Our faith will deliver to the level of our love for God. 1 Corinthians 13:1,2. So, it is the quality of our love for God that defines the delivery of our faith. Church Gist. The quality of our love for God is what determines the outcome of our faith. All this is God showing us love is the master key to all-round breakthroughs in life. Amen.

3. Love facilitates answers to our prayers. When you are truly in love with God, you will hate to toy with what displeases God and that gives express access to our prayers. Isaiah 59:1,2. Psalm 66:18,19. When we turn from whatever God hates, line of access in prayer is opened. Church Gist. David committed a grevious sin but he repented and now verily, God has heard him. Every true lover is fast at repentance. Thank you Jesus. That blind man said, "I know that know God heareth not the prayer of sinners. I know. Whether I be a sinner or not, I know not. Once I was blind, now I can see. But I know God heareth not sinners." When you are in love, you are all out to want to please Him at all times.

4. Finally, Love enhances access to wisdom from above. Paul the Lover was acknowledged by the Apostles as a man of wisdom. Romans 8:35-37. 2 Peter 3:15. The Apostle recognised him as a man of wisdom. He is in love. You know, when you are in love, you dwell in God and God in you and our God is the only wise God, now He lives in you. Church Gist. So, you have the right answer. Many times, silence is the best answer for victory. Praise God! Silence is the best answer for victory. There was a year we had an issue in a particular nation where through a strong mafia, they seized our property and had a court judgement that we are not the owner of the property and so, they called me and I said, God is big enough to defend Himself. No mention, no nothing, silence. No contact with anybody under Heaven. Silence! And God stood up to it. Now the property is ready for dedication. Church Gist. Glorious victory! I saw the picture this last week of the new structure we are building there. God fought the battle like no man else can. He fought and won the battle in grand style. There was no contact with anybody. God stood in there. The wisdom of God is a mighty weapon of war.

DUNAMIS SEEDS OF DESTINY DEVOTIONAL FOR 15TH JULY, 2025 BY DR PAUL ENENCHE

TOPIC: LIVING WITH ETERNITY IN VIEW

SCRIPTURE: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night… 2 PETER 3:9-10.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The end of earthly life on earth is the beginning of an endless life in eternity.

Genesis 1:27 makes it clear that man is an eternal being made in the Image and Likeness of an eternal God. The meaning of that is, everyone you see will live forever. To further buttress this, James 4:14 reveals that man’s life on earth is a temporary adventure, just a fraction of man’s overall life.

So, man’s life on earth is a temporary adventure. This implies that the end of earthly life is the beginning of an endless life in eternity. (Daniel 12:2). And it is to in 8 to to to either an everlasting life with God in Heaven or an everlasting contempt with satan in hell. The truth is, God does not desire for anyone to be lost in hell; rather, He desires for people to live with Him forever in heaven after their sojourn in the earth. In other words, God is not looking for whom to send to hell.

It is possible to hear some messages that sounds as if God’s satisfaction is how many people can end in hell. Scriptures make it clear that hell was not created for man (Matthew 25:41). Hell was prepared for the devil and his angels. It is only those who reject Christ and decide to end with the devil that will follow him to hell.66y But the point is, God has no desire for the loss of any soul (2 Peter 3:8-9).

Now, wisdom demands that we pay attention to our eternal destination, the place where we will spend the bulk of our lives.

That is why today, we are looking at what it means to live with eternity in view.

1. It is living in the present with the end in mind. Living in the present with the end in perspective (1Peter 4:7). You are alive today, but the end is in your mind.

2. It means living and conducting our life’s actions with eternity as a major consideration. Ecclesiastes 12:13 says, Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter, fear God and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of a man. For God shall bring every work into judgment with every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil.

Everything we do on the earth has eternal consequences.

3. It means living in the now with readiness and preparedness for eternity. That is, you are not trying to get prepared; you are living prepared (Matthew 25:13, Matthew 24:44-45).

4. It is living as strangers and pilgrims on the earth. This is living with the full knowledge that this world is not our home (1 Peter 2:11).

5. It is living in the world without forgetting yourself in the world. Living in the world without forgetting your eternal and heavenly citizenship (Philippians 3:20).

Beloved, don’t forget yourself in this world because one day, the curtains of eternity shall be drawn, and the world shall end.

Remember this: The end of earthly life is the beginning of endless life in eternity.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Live ready in anticipation of Christ’s coming. Keep your spiritual temperature high.

2. Refuse to live in sin

3. Ask God for mercy if you have erred and make amends.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to live on earth as a pilgrim. I refuse to conform to the pattern of this world. Draw me closer to You Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

The Lord counsels,
"Enter ye in at the gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

The 'strait gate' is the narrow way; the way of salvation that leads to eternal life in Heaven. It accommodates only those liberated from their heavy weight of sin, which they have offloaded at the Cross of Calvary.

The 'wide gate' on the other hand, is the broad way. It is the way of easy and self-indulgence; it accommodates excesses of all sorts, and sin, in its wildest range. It is the way of destruction, because it terminates in Hellfire. Unfortunately, many people are heading there, because of the life they have chosen to lead - a life of sin, a life without Jesus Christ as Saviour

The only one to eternal life in Heaven is the way of repentance from all sins; and faith in Jesus Christ. He has completed the work for your redemption. All you need do is to repent and get this saving grace. Amen.

*BREAKING OF CURSES 3.*

*SCRIPTURE READING Gen 4:4-10.*

*KEY VERSE:* As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.
Prov 26:2.

Brethren, there are reasons for curses.
The Bible clearly states that curse causeless shall not come, which means there must be a reason for a curse to be placed on individuals, families, communities and Nations.
Behind every curse there is a cause.
To every affliction in a man's life, there is a root; and when the root is discovered and rooted out, then comes refreshment.

He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.
Ecl 8:10.
For a curse to be in operation, it is either, you break the hedge or your parents break the hedge for the curse to show up in your life.

A curse is little different from a spell, a spell is cast from the region of the occult, from witchcraft, from satanic altar, you don't need to offend anybody, as long they don't want you to be blessed, they will just cast a spell to punish you or to frustrate your destiny.
But for every curse there must be a cause.

*FOR EXAMPLES*

1. Adam suffer a curse because he disobey God by eating the fruit of the tree in the midst of the garden. Gen 3:17

2. There was famine in the days of David, year to year because Saul killed the Gibeonites. Israel had sworn in the name of the Lord to keep them alive but Saul break the oath of the Lord by killing them and it's resulted to a curse on the entire Nation of Israel, year to year famine was prevailing, David have to go and appeal to the Gibeonites for the curse to be removed 2 Samuel 21:1-3.

*WHAT TO DO.*

1. Since there is no smoke without fire, if you want the smoke to stop, look for the fire and put it off. The same with a curse, you need to find the cause. Who did you offend? Who did your parents offend?

2. When you find the the reason why you or your family members are under a curse (who you offended) then go and apologise, ask for forgiveness, make restitution where necessary.

3. Go to a deliverance minister to break the curse or go to God in prayers on curse breaking deliverance prayers.
