Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

MESSAGE
According to our memory verse for today, faith depends on hope to sustain it's substance unto maturation. Faith hangs on the wings of hope because it is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.

POINT TO NOTE:
*The loss of hope is the crash of faith!*

One of your greatest responsibilities is to keep hope alive always because without hope, faith is powerless to deliver. There must be a picture kept perpetually before your eyes on which your faith anchors.

Faith is the future that we hope for in the present. The Bible says, "Now Faith is the substance hoped for," so the substance of faith in the present that we can hold on to is
Hope.

Hope is the true picture of the future, as shown from the scriptures.

We must continue to gaze on the promises of God in the scriptures to keep faith alive.

*Our gaze on the scriptures is the reason for Hope.*

We can only be hopeful if we continue to gaze at what God has told us in His Word.

*Faith starts to sink very fast when we take our eyes off of the word of God.*

I can only think of Peter walking on the water to go to Jesus because the Lord Jesus Christ (the Word) gave him faith to do so by telling him to come over to Him on the water.

The Lord Jesus Christ represents the Word of Hope. Peter's ability to keep his eyes on the Lord Jesus is the exercise of keeping Hope alive for faith to stay sustained. He only began to lose faith and consequently began to sink when he took his gaze off the Lord.

Beloved, where are you today in your walk with God? Are you still walking on the water, or are you already sinking because you are distracted by situations and circumstances around you?

MY COUNSEL
Refocus your eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ today through the word of God.

*Your future hides in the scriptures.*

Keep hope alive always by keeping your gaze on what God has said to you from His word.

ACTION STEPS
1. Revisit past revelations from the scriptures.
2. Renew your faith in God by refreshing your hope in the word.
3. Pray fervently for grace to stay focused on the promises of God through the Word.

PRAYERS
Dear heavenly Father, Thank you for today's devotional guide. Help me to stay tuned to your word by faith in Jesus' name. Amen.

I declare that I am strengthened, energized, endued with power, ability and might. I have been catapulted to a life of victory, success, prosperity, hope, and assurance. I live over and above the natural courses of life, the corruption, evil, and decadence prevalent in this world of darkness. The indwelling presence of Christ is in me, in the person of the Holy Spirit. I don’t lack or want for anything: ideas, inspiration, wealth, prosperity, and all the goodness of God are in my spirit, and I bring them forth from the fullness in my spirit. He is my helper, the One who upholds me with His righteous right hand; the stronghold of my life.

I have made peace with the fact that there are human beings that will never stop Ponzi till the end of time.
So this particular woman in one of my mum’s group came out to lament that she lost 9m to a particular Ponzi but guess what?
She said she is not giving up on Ponzi othat online business is the way forward, that Infact she has a new one (she instantly drops link for people ) .
She kept advising them not to cry over the one that has closed , that the new one will pay them, she said Ponzi has saved her a lot of times and it has helped her buy properties in the past.
I have made peace with the fact that, to a lot of people , Ponzi is the best online business.
No matter what you say, you are wasting your time.

*NEW OUTBREAK OF DIPHTHERIA IN A FEW TOWNS IN ORLU LGA*

To:.All Principals and Primary Schools HMs (Public and Private)

1. Please notenand be aware that there are reported cases of the deaths of a few school-aged children who obviously are pupils and students (schools yet unknown because they took ill and died subsequently, this, allegedly, is as result of reported cases of outbreak of Diphtheria in some parts of Orlu LGA.

2. The report, as it is trickling in so far, says that thie very new outbreak of Diphtheria is for now concentrated around *Amihie Ward, Obibi Ochasi, Okwuabala and Ogberuru toens -all in Orlu LGA of Imo State*

3. There are 3 confirmed fatalities so far; in respect of the privacy of the parents of the decease; unfortunately, therefore, we can not list their names because of the ages of the deceased -2 boys and a girl. It will be unethical and unprofessional for their names to be published here.

3. There are also about 3 other cases that have been reported involving some families around *Okwuabala and Ihiteowere axis* in Orlu LGA

4. I wish to inform all Imolites through this medium, specifically, essentially abd especially, to Principals of all Public and Private secondary Schools, and the HMs of all Public and Private Primary Schools within *Obibi Ochasi, Ogberuru, Okwuabala, Ihioma Clan, Ihittenansa, Asaa Uberielem, Umuhu Okabia and all other schools that are within, and around the adjournment commuties*, to know that all Primary and Secondary are temporarily close down till further notice.

*Now, to all parents, guardians, and stakeholders in the education sector of Orlu LGA and Imo State*

1. May I most humbly and respectfully inform you that, for me, as the Hon. Commissioner, it is better that I err on the side of caution by taking this decision, of course with the approval of His Excellency, *Most Distinguished Senator (Dr.) Hope Uzodinma, CON, GSSRS, Executive Governor of Imo State*, in taking this precautionary measure, which is for the safety of *all primary schools' pupils and all secondary schools' students*, and indeed, for the benefit of all our citizens. This is why this public announcement is absolutely important and necessary because it is supposed to be informative and an essential provision of knowledge, which in itself is power.

2. Accordingly and immediately, all schools in affected towns are hereby closed, albeit temporarily. This is the after effect or the result of the outbreak of Diphtheria that has been reported in the areas where all schools have just been closed temporarily.

3. I have, again, as the Hon. Commissioner in-chairge of the entire Primary and Secondary Schools in Imo State, discussed with the *Executive Chairman* of Orlu LGA, Pastor Chris Mbarie, of my decision to temporarily close all schools within and around the towns mentioned above. The Executive Chairman himself equally shared in my convictions that all the schools mentioned above should be temporarily closed until further notice.

Choosing a partner is one of the most important decisions of your life. But many good women are making bad decisions because something deeper is influencing their choices.

These are 5 things that can cause you to choose the wrong partner even when you’re praying, fasting, and “doing everything.”

1. YOUR EMOTIONS

The moment you feel something strong, you stop seeing clearly. You start making excuses to cover up red flags because you don't want to lose this thing you feel for him.

If emotions are driving the car, wisdom is probably tied up in the boot. And that is exactly the case for many ladies.

Your emotions are good and what makes you human but you need to gain mastery over it else it will keep making you choose the wrong partners.

2. UNMET NEEDS

Some of the worst relationships you’ll ever enter are the ones you walk into with an empty cup.
Because when you’re thirsty, even p0ison can look like water.

When you have unmet needs, your definition and perception of love are altered and you will confuse so many things for love.

3. YOU’RE STILL IN YOUR FANTASY STAGE

A lot of women fall in love with the idea of a man, not the reality of who he is. You picture a wedding with him, future kids, matching Ankara, and couple selfies…

But you never stopped to ask: Is this man truly ready for what I’m praying for? Sometimes, you’re not choosing him - you’re choosing your hope.

So as long as he matches the idea of the man you fantasize about, you intentionally close your eyes to other important things and hope that helps changes later.

4. TRAUMA YOU HAVEN’T HEALED FROM

Unhealed trauma can distort a lot. You’ll think you’re following your heart, and even feel “peace” and use it as a confirmation….

But it’s your w0unds that are choosing for you because it has seen something “familiar”.

Your nervous system isn’t looking for love… it’s looking for what it knows. And until you do the healing work, your past will keep hijacking your future.

5. PRESSURE (FROM SOCIETY, FRIENDS, FAMILY OR EVEN YOURSELF)

When you’re close to your 30s and people keep asking “when are you getting married?”, it messes with your peace.

You start feeling like you’re behind. You lower your standards. You rush, settle, and pick out of fear. And the worst part? You start seeing the wrong person as “good enough” After all no one is perfect, right? All because you’re trying to meet a deadline.
