A tragic incident occurred in Nnewi, Anambra State, as Chiamaka Okeke, a mother of four and Chemistry teacher at Anglican Girls’ Secondary School, Uruagu, was shot and killed by operatives of the Agunechemba security outfit.
The shooting took place at Ibeto Junction while Okeke was reportedly returning home from the hospital. Witnesses allege that the operatives, part of a local security network established under the administration of Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo, opened fire without clear provocation.
The Anambra State Police Command has confirmed the incident, revealing that the vigilante operative who pulled the trigger has been identified and arrested.
