• "I Served Nigerian Army For 31 Good Years Only To Be Given 3.5 Million Naira While Small Small Girls That Just Did Small Running, Tinubu Gave Each Of Them 160 Million Naira.

Retired Soldier Speaks Out Against Inequality and Injustice
A retired soldier, who served in the Nigerian Army for 31 years, has expressed outrage and disappointment over the treatment of veterans like himself. During a protest in Abuja, the soldier lamented that after decades of service, he received a paltry sum of 3.5 million naira, while politicians and their associates receive vastly larger sums.

    A Stark Comparison
The soldier cited the example of young women who allegedly received 160 million naira each from President Bola Tinubu, contrasting this with his own meager compensation. This perceived injustice has sparked widespread outrage and frustration among retired soldiers.

    A Sobering Reality Check
The retired soldier also highlighted the vital role the military plays in maintaining national security. He warned that without the protection of soldiers, the country would be vulnerable to attacks and instability, noting that even Aso Rock, the presidential villa, would not be safe without military presence.

A Call for Fairness and Recognition
The protest in Abuja underscores the need for fair treatment and recognition of the sacrifices made by retired soldiers. The retired soldier's words serve as a poignant reminder of the importance of prioritizing the welfare and compensation of those who have dedicated their lives to serving the nation.

  • JUST-IN: JONATHAN UKO OGAH AND FRIEND GABRIEL SAVAGELY MURDERED BY SUSPECTED TIV MILITIA IN GWER EAST

    4th August, 2025 | 7:45 PM

In a chilling and barbaric act that has shocked the state, Jonathan Uko Ogah and his close friend Gabriel were brutally murdered in the early hours of today by suspected Tiv militia along the Oju–Awarji road, around the Ullam axis of Gwer East Local Government Area, Benue State.

The victims were reportedly on their way back from Oju Local Government Area when they were ambushed and cut down in cold blood — a tragic end to two promising young lives. Eyewitness accounts and local sources confirm that the attack was unprovoked and carried out with shocking cruelty.

This gruesome killing is not only condemnable — it is an assault on our shared humanity and an outright declaration of lawlessness. The perpetrators of this act are not just criminals; they are enemies of peace, of justice, and of every value that binds us together as a people.

We strongly condemn this wicked, senseless, and ethnically motivated killing. No community, no group, and no individual has the right to take the life of another under any pretense. The rule of law must be upheld. We call on the Benue State Government, security agencies, and all relevant authorities to act immediately — not with words, but with results.

Justice delayed is justice denied, and the longer we allow this impunity to continue, the deeper we sink into the pit of chaos. These killings must stop. The killers must be found. Justice must prevail.

Jonathan and Gabriel did not deserve to die. They were sons of our soil, taken far too soon by hands soaked in blood. We mourn them. We stand with their families. And we demand justice, not just for them, but for every innocent soul lost to violence across our land.

This is one killing too many. This is a wake-up call. The time to act is now.

  • Honest Officer Rejects ₦800,000 Bribe to Free Armed Robbery Suspect in Akwa Ibom – Police Arrest Bribe Giver

A senior officer with the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Unit of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Ebong Thompson, has earned widespread commendation after rejecting an ₦800,000 bribe offered to secure the release of a notorious armed robbery suspect in Akwa Ibom State.

The integrity-driven officer turned down the bribe brought by one Emmanuel Peter, who reportedly attempted to influence the investigation and cover up the suspect’s crimes.

According to a statement issued by the Akwa Ibom State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Timfon John, the incident occurred on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. The bribe attempt followed the arrest of 53-year-old David Samuel Isaac, who was found in possession of a Samsung phone stolen at gunpoint.

Investigations revealed that Isaac has a record of similar offences and had been previously arrested and charged to court for armed robbery but returned to criminal activities after being released.

Peter, who brought the ₦800,000 cash to the SWAT office in an effort to secure Isaac’s release, was immediately arrested and taken into custody after the offer was rejected by CSP Thompson and his team.

Commending the officer for his professionalism and integrity, the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, presented commendation letters to all officers involved in the investigation and urged other personnel to emulate their example.

“Members of the public are warned to desist from attempting to compromise police investigations. We remain committed to upholding justice and the rule of law,” CP Azare stated during the monthly command briefing.

This bold stance against corruption has drawn praise from many quarters, reinforcing public trust in the police force’s renewed commitment to professionalism and accountability.

My one term vow is sacrosanct .Peter Obi replies Gov Soludo after casting aspersions on him
My One-Term, Four-Year Vow Is Sacrosanct

One of the greatest American Presidents, Abraham Lincoln, served only four years, yet his legacy endures as a model of principled leadership. Another iconic figure, John F. Kennedy, did not even complete a full term, yet his vision and ideals continue to inspire generations. In Africa, Nelson Mandela, revered globally as a symbol of justice and reconciliation, chose to serve only one term as President of South Africa, despite immense public pressure to stay longer. His decision was a deliberate act of leadership, a statement that power must serve the people, not the self. Indeed, history shows that the longer many African leaders remain in power, the more likely they are to be corrupted by it. Longevity in office is not a mark of success; rather, it is purposeful, accountable service - however brief - that defines true statesmanship.

It is within this context that I reiterate my vow: I will serve only one term of four years if elected President. And that vow is sacrosanct.

I am fully aware that the decay in our society has made trust one of the scarcest and most sceptically viewed commodities. Many Nigerians, understandably, no longer take politicians at their word. But even in this climate of cynicism, there are still a few whose actions have matched their words - whose integrity is built on verifiable precedent.

Recently, I became aware of two statements aimed, albeit indirectly, at my vow to serve only a single four-year term. One person remarked that even if I swore by a shrine, I still wouldn’t be believed. Another suggested that anyone talking about doing only one term should undergo psychiatric evaluation.

I understand the basis of their scepticism. They are judging me by their own standards - where political promises are made to be broken. But they forget, or perhaps choose to ignore, that Peter Obi is not cut from that cloth. I have a verifiable track record that speaks louder than speculation.

In my political life, my word is my bond. When I entered politics in Anambra State, I made clear and measurable promises to the people: to improve education and healthcare, to open up rural areas through road construction, and to manage public funds with prudence. I fulfilled each of those promises without deviation. I did not swear by a shrine, nor have I been certified mentally unstable as a result of honouring my word.

My vow to serve only one term of four years is a solemn commitment, rooted in my conviction that purposeful, transparent leadership does not require an eternity.

If making such a promise qualifies me for psychiatric evaluation, then we may as well question the mental fitness of those who framed our Constitution, which clearly stipulates a four-year renewable tenure.

I maintain without equivocation: if elected, I will not spend a day longer than four years in office. In fact, I believe that service should be impactful, not eternal.

We must rebuild trust in our country. I have dedicated my public life to demonstrating that leadership with integrity is not a myth. I have done it before, and I do not intend to betray that trust under any circumstances.

Forty-eight months is enough for any leader who is focused and prepared to make a meaningful difference. In that time, I intend not merely to make an impression, but to deliver on concrete promises to:

    sanitise our governance system;

    tackle insecurity through effective and accountable use of national resources; prioritise education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation;

catalyse small businesses as engines of growth ; and combat corruption with unflinching resolve.

Above all, I will dedicate myself to transforming Nigeria from a consuming nation into a productive one, where agriculture, technology, and manufacturing replace rent-seeking and waste as our national anchors.

These are not utopian dreams. They are realistic, actionable goals that are achievable within four years.

    A new Nigeria is POssible.

In that time, I intend not merely to make an impression, but to deliver on concrete promises to: sanitise our governance system; tackle insecurity through effective and accountable use of national resources; prioritise education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation; catalyse small businesses as engines of growth; and combat corruption with unflinching resolve. -Peter Obi | August 03, 2025

  • *THE RESTORER'S DAILY GUIDE*

    DATE: MONDAY 4TH AUGUST 2025

THEME: *THE DESTRUCTIVE POWER OF LYING*

    MEMORIZE
    Isaiah 28:17
Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

    READ
Isaiah 59:1-4 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you that he will not hear.
For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity and speak lies; they conceive mischief and bring forth iniquity.

    THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
*Lying habitually destroys God's image in men and replaces it with Satan's image.*

    MESSAGE
Yesterday, we saw that lies are temporal solutions to permanent problems and that all liars are Satan's children.

Today's text shows that one of the major hindrances to our prayers is the lying tongue. It is also confirmed in today's memory verse that those who take refuge in lies have no future in life and with God because God promised to destroy the refuge of lies.

Today, we shall consider the anatomy of lies and the destruction that the lying tongue causes.

It is worrisome that some people are pathological liars. In other words, their lying is abnormal. It has become a disease.

*To feel normal about lying is abnormal:* (especially as saints;) it is a deviation from a healthy or normal condition.

*Everyone who lies freely and habitually will gradually put on the nature of Satan and will also start looking like him spiritually speaking because Satan is the father of all liars.*

People tell lies for so many reasons.
Some lie because they do not believe in themselves. Jacob had to lie to fake an identity that was not his own.

Some lie because they seek credibility, which they lack.

Others lie because they are ignorant of the power of the truth. They do not know that truth is like God that cannot die.

No matter how long you bury the truth, it will rise again to speak for itself.

The Bible actually says we can do nothing against the truth but for the truth.

    *Liars are confirmed satanists.*

They are legal children of Satan. And if they continue without repentance, Satan, their father, will one day claim his own when the time comes.

*Those who tell lies freely and habitually gradually destroy every trace of God in their lives, until they start to look more like Satan in the realm of the spirit instead of God their maker.*

*Lying habitually destroys God's image in men and replaces it with Satan's image.*

Beloved, be determined by God's grace and mercy to break free from the bondage of the lying spirit today because all liars have only one destination, which is hell fire.

If you are a seed of Yahweh, then you have the ability to overcome the lying spirit. (1John 5:4;)

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you today in Jesus' name. Amen.

    ACTION STEPS
    1. Turn your life over to the Lord Jesus Christ for help today.
    2. Cry out to God for deliverance from the lying spirit now.
    3. Soak your spirit in the blood of Jesus Christ for total cleansing and purging from the lying spirit.

    PRAYERS
Dear heavenly Father, Thank you for today's devotional guide. Deliver me and help me to stay free from the lying spirit, keep me in the truth always in Jesus' name. Amen.

    REMEMBER
*Lying habitually destroys God's image in men and replaces it with Satan's image*

  • Peter Obi Speaks :

In that time, I intend not merely to make an impression, but to deliver on concrete promises to:

    sanitise our governance system;
    tackle insecurity through effective and accountable use of national resources; prioritise education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation;
catalyse small businesses as engines of growth ; and combat corruption with unflinching resolve.

Above all, I will dedicate myself to transforming Nigeria from a consuming nation into a productive one, where agriculture, technology, and manufacturing replace rent-seeking and waste as our national anchors.

  • It is profoundly disheartening that, notwithstanding the pendency of several applications before the court—including duly filed and served committal proceedings—the individual who unlawfully entered the premises of Next Foods Limited in Ikeja GRA has continued to act with brazen impunity, showing utter disregard for both the authority of the court and the sanctity of public order.

It is a well-established principle of law, and indeed of civil society, that once parties have submitted their grievances to the judiciary, they are duty-bound to maintain the status quo and allow the court to determine the issues before it. Any deviation from this principle not only undermines the justice system but also sets a dangerous precedent for lawlessness.

My younger brother, who serves as the Chairman of Next Limited, and I have spared no effort in trying to identify and reach out to the woman who lays claim to the property in question, with the sincere intention of exploring a peaceful and amicable resolution. Regrettably, all such efforts have yielded no fruitful outcome, as she remains evasive and inaccessible. -PO
