• *WORDS OF ELDERS*

    Good morning !
    1. “Beware of the naked person who offers you clothes!

    2. “When one’s goat get missing, the aroma of a neighbor’s soup get suspicious”.

    3. “The future belongs to the Risk takers, Not the Comfort seekers!"

    4. “A deaf husband and a blind wife are always a happy couple!"

    5. “The first person you think of in the morning, or last person you think of at night, is either the cause of your happiness or your pain!"

    6. “Be careful who you trust! Salt and Sugar are both white!"

    7. “Kindness is like butter, it works best when you spread it around!"

    8. “The walls don’t only have ears, they now see!"

    9. “Sometimes, you have to play the role of a fool to fool the fools who think they are fooling you!"

    10. “If you have a mom, there is nowhere you are likely to go where a prayer has not already been!"

    11. “A harsh man tells a woman to stop talking, but a wise man tells her that her mouth is extremely beautiful, when her lips are closed!"

    12. “No matter how long the night, the day is sure to come!"

    13. “A woman’s greatest perfume is the fragrance of her man’s success!"

    14. “A wise person knows that there is something to be learned from everyone!"

    15. “It requires wisdom to understand wisdom.

    16. The music is nothing, if the audience is deaf”!

    17. “None of us is as smart as all of us. Work together to achieve!!

    18. If you cannot be a bridge to connect people, then do not be a wall to separate them.

    19. If you cannot be a light to brighten people's good deeds then do not be darkness covering their efforts.

    20. If you cannot be water to help people's crops sprout, then do not be a pest destroying their crops.

    21. If you cannot be a vaccine to give life, do not be a virus to terminate it.

    22. If you cannot be a pencil to write anyone's happiness, then try to be a nice eraser to remove their sadness.

    23. We can always be each others keeper

Let us resolve to heal the world by making it a better place. God bless you richly today and always.

  • Daily devotion for July 14th
    Off Witchcraft!
Many also of those who had believed kept coming, confessing and disclosing their practices. And many of those who practiced magic brought their books together and began burning them in the sight of everyone; and they counted up the price of them and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. So the word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing.

    Acts 19:18-20
Luke mentions two movements here. It started with the believers who began to clean up their own lives, who came and divulged their hidden practices, confessing what they were doing in private. Obviously these were relatively new Christians and perhaps they had never thought that anything was wrong with these practices. But as they sat under the teaching of the apostle and saw the kingdom of God and how God longs to set people free, they began to see that what they had been doing — the astrology, the reliance on horoscopes, the belief in the influence of the stars, and all their other superstitious practices — had held them in bondage. These were the reasons why they remained weak and fearful, upset and distressed within themselves. So they began to confess all this and therefore to be free from their bondage. And that, in turn, precipitated another movement. The unbelievers around them in the city began to take a second look at their own practices. Many of them who had practiced magic arts brought their books together and burned them when they became Christians under the influence and power of the gospel, and thus they were set free from their own deadly delusion.

This illustrates how light breaks forth through the church. It is the church that is the light of the world. When the church begins to straighten out and clean up its life, and act and live as God has called people to do, then the world will begin to see itself as it is, and see what is wrong, and start straightening up and being freed from the practices that are darkening and blinding it. This is what happened here. They surrendered all their occult literature — and that was a costly thing to do. As they totaled up the value of these books and the various paraphernalia that was brought to be burned, it came to fifty-thousand pieces of silver. That is about ten thousand dollars, which was a tremendous sum in those days. It meant that these people were forsaking their livelihood. They were changing the total pattern of their lives, as they saw that they could no longer practice the occult and live as Christians too. It revealed how willing they were to be free from this terrible practice.

Here in Ephesus, Paul and the other Christians, by the power of the truth, broke through this deception. They assaulted this stronghold of evil. They cracked it wide open, so that Luke says, The word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailed. That is how a church ought to operate — in the power of the Spirit and by the authority of the Word. There are strongholds like this all around us today, bastions of darkness: drugs, witchcraft, homosexuality. How desperately this situation needs the assault of truth and of light. God longs to deliver people from these strongholds, and he has given the church this power.

Father, I see powers of darkness holding people enthralled, locking them into misery and heartache, superstition and fear, hostility and emptiness. Lord, help me to understand that this is a very strategic time to live and to give myself to this exciting, glorious encounter against these powers of darkness.

  • *THE RESTORER'S DAILY GUIDE*

    DATE: MONDAY 14TH JULY 2025

THEME: *BREAKING THE SPELL OF DARKNESS*

    MEMORIZE
    John 8:12
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

    READ
    Matthew 4:15-17
    The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

    THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
*There can be no genuine progress where darkness reigns.*

    MESSAGE
Darkness has the power to cast spells on people. Every wrong step you have taken in life was masterminded by the spells of darkness.

Every wrong choice you made in the past was guided from the spell of darkness casted upon you directly or indirectly.

*The spell of darkness is the spell of death. Until men are blinded by darkness, they are not death doomed.*

It is the spell of darkness that makes men call evil good and good evil. They would rather believe in lies instead of the truth.

Individuals who are under the spell of darkness may never know the danger of sin and evil until they are neck deep into it.

Satan had to depend on the spell of darkness to deceive Eve. Eve also transmitted to the same spell on Adam hence the later could not discern the danger of eating of the forbidden fruit nor did he have the power to resist the pull of evil associated with the strange tree of conflicting knowledge in the garden.

*Your breakthroughs in life are delayed by the spells of darkness around you.*

*Until you break the spells of darkness over your life, your breakthroughs may continue to linger.*

There can be no genuine progress where darkness reigns. Our first major responsibility in life is to be so lighted by God's word that we break the spell of darkness everywhere we find ourselves.

*The only weapon for dislodging darkness and its forces is the light from God's word.*

    The Bible says in;
Psalms 119:130 "The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple."

*Therefore, when the Lord Jesus began His ministry, He began by teaching and preaching the word because the revelation of the word is the only power that can successfully and completely break the spell of darkness.*

    ACTION STEPS
    1. Ask the Holy Spirit to saturate your life with His light always.
    2. Pray fervently that every hidden works of dishonesty in and around your life be exposed and rebuked.
    3. Ask the Lord to fill your heart with genuine love for the truth always.

    PRAYERS
Dear heavenly Father, Thank you for today's devotional guide. Oh God of restoration, keep me away from every error and deceit and help me to stay in your Light in Jesus' name. Amen.

    REMEMBER
*There can be no genuine progress where darkness reigns.*

  • “My Money is My Money, But His Money is Our Money?”

    A Danger0us Mindset in Marriage

    Ladies, let's talk.
That line might sound funny on social media, but in real life, it’s one of the quickest ways to break trust, fuel resentment, and hinder progress in your marriage.

As a marriage counselor, let me help you reset your mindset and set your marriage up for success.

    1. Marriage is a Covenant, Not a Competition

Once you say "I do," you are no longer two individuals — you are one team.

That means resources, time, energy, and money should no longer be viewed as “mine vs. yours” but ours.

    2. Your Money is Family Money

Whether the husband earns it or the wife does, it belongs to the home, not to one person.

Money should be pooled together to meet family needs, pursue shared goals, and build legacy.

Teamwork in finances equals peace in the home.

    3. Stop Misusing 1 Timothy 5

Many wrongly use 1 Timothy 5:8 to say men must be sole providers. But context matters!

That chapter talks about supporting widows, not setting financial roles in marriage.

Verse 16 even says: “If any man or woman has widows... let them relieve them...”

Conclusion: Provision isn’t gender-specific — it’s about responsibility, not roles.

    4. Scripture Over Culture

Culture may say “only the man must provide”, but the Bible never says the man must be the sole provider.

Proverbs 31 paints a picture of a resourceful, industrious woman involved in:

    Agriculture

    Trading and exporting

    Fashion and textiles

    Charity work

She was married and still actively contributed financially.

    5. Marriage is a Financial Partnership

    You and your spouse should:

    Set shared financial goals

    Create a joint budget

    Discuss big purchases

Sacrifice for one another when needed

Sometimes, the wife will delay her wants so her husband can meet a need, and vice versa.
This is not weakness — this is love and wisdom.

    6. Ladies, Adjust Your Mindset

Stop seeing yourself as a financial observer.
You are not a guest in your marriage — you are a co-builder.

    “I’m just helping him”
    “We’re building this life together”

God did not create Eve to be idle — He created her to be a helper suitable. That includes emotional, spiritual, and financial help.

    7. Be a Woman of Value, Not Just Expense

You can be wealthy. You can provide.
You can start a business, own property, fund dreams, sponsor others, and bless your home.

You are not just a helpmate — you are a force for financial progress.

    🙏🏾 Final Word:

    Marriage thrives where selfishness d!es.
Drop the “my money vs. his money” mindset.

Pick up the “our home, our wealth, our future” mindset.

God is for your marriage, and you will not fail in Jesus’ name.

Share this with every married couple and young woman you know.

  • LESSON FROM A WOMAN
When a woman wants to teach you a lesson, even satan sits down to take notes.

My neighbour was a big drunk. His wife used to pick him up in bars and in trenches. Her family friends advised her to leave him but she was hopeful that she'll find a solution one day.

One Saturday, she went to pick him again, he was completely drunk. Instead of taking him home, she headed straight to the mortuary. She negotiated with the mortuary attendants to make him lie with the corpses so that when he wakes up, they can teach him a lesson or two. She then went back home.

When he woke up, he started screaming when he found himself sleeping in the middle of dead bodies. He started screaming and calling for help pleading that he's not dead. The mortuary attendants came laughing and told him that they are used to corpses being brought to the morgue and start practicing witchcraft. They told him to lie down and that he was dead and whatever he was seeing was not in real life but in the other end of living dead.

He continued screaming and the morgue attendants came with an axe and hammer and told him that stubborn corpses are beaten and hacked until they become cooperative. He was told to lie and wait for his postmortem later that day since his cause of death hadn't been established.

He stayed there frightened in the middle of corpses the whole of that day and Sunday night. On Monday morning they released him and told him to go home, say bye bye to his family and then come back to the morgue for preservation since he was now a mere spirit.

He ran home on foot, straight to the mirror to check if he was seeing himself. His wife pretended not to see him which made him even more worried. He went to the bathroom took a shower, dressed up and carried a Bible. That's when his wife told him that it was a Monday morning and not Sunday.

Several months later he's yet to reveal what happened to him; and where he was the two nights he wasn't at home. He stopped taking alcohol completely, not even Sodas, just Milk and Water. He goes to Church religiously now

  • At a mechanic’s workshop, I noticed a particular car that had been parked there for nearly four years. It was quite expensive and still looked in good shape the first time I saw it. But with time, it began to deteriorate. One of the windows got broken, the tyres deflated and wore out completely, and rust slowly crept over what was once a beautiful machine.

Curious, I asked the mechanic why such an expensive vehicle had been left to rot.

He confirmed that the car had indeed been in perfect condition when I first saw it. But even he had become helpless as to what to do. The vehicle belonged to someone from the Republic of Tchad. The man’s driver had been the one bringing it into Nigeria for repairs. On that last occasion, the driver dropped it off, paid for the repairs, and returned to Tchad, saying he would come back to collect the car once the required part being sourced from Lagos was fixed.

The mechanic bought the part, fixed the car, and waited. He had already been paid. But the driver never came back. It turned out he had been on his way to pick up the car when he was attacked by insurgents and killed. The mechanic didn’t know much about him, only his name, and had no idea where exactly in Tchad he was from. So the car remained there, abandoned. The owner likely has no idea where it is or how to recover it.

At a certain car wash, there was another case. Another expensive vehicle. This one had been brought in by a customer who patronised them occasionally. They didn’t know much about him either. He lived in another city but always came for business, and each time, he brought the car to be washed.

On his last visit, he dropped it off as usual and said he was going into town and would return later that evening. He never did. That was three years ago. Still, no sign of him. The car wash owner continues to wash and maintain the vehicle daily, keeping it spotless. But no one has come for it. They didn’t even know his name, and a search of the vehicle turned up no documents that could trace it to anyone. So, it remains abandoned.

Just last week, a friend of mine died after a brief illness. Before falling sick, he had taken some clothes to the laundry. He never returned to collect them. Thankfully, the laundryman knew his family and brought the clothes to his wife last night. She had no idea he had even taken anything to be laundered.

These situations made me think deeply.

Do our families and friends know the people we deal with, our mechanics, our laundrymen, or the businesses we patronise? Do we tell them about the errands we run or the transactions we make? Or do we go about our lives with no one aware of the little details that might matter in the end?

    Shouldn’t someone at least know?

One day, you will take your car to the mechanic but you will not be the one to bring it back.
Your clothes will be at the laundry but you will not return to pick them up.
Do you have some pieces or parcels of land? Does your family know about them?
Do you have house or houses any where? Does your family know about it or them?
    How many banks do you
    have accounts in?
Does your family know about all of them?

Sometimes, the things you worked hard for, the things you loved and valued, will be left lying somewhere, useless and out of reach, because no one knew where you kept them or how to find them. That should be enough to give one the creeps and make one think deeply. Today, tomorrow, it shall come for you.

    One day......

  • Discover Your "Why":

Your "why" is the core reason behind everything you do—it's the foundation on which your goals stand and the source of true meaning in your actions. It represents the deep, personal motivation that fuels your dreams and ambitions, giving them life beyond just tasks or outcomes.

When you clearly identify your "why," you uncover the values, passions, and beliefs that drive your journey. This understanding becomes a powerful tool that helps you push through obstacles, stay focused when distractions arise, and bounce back stronger after setbacks. It’s not just about reaching a destination; it’s about embracing a purpose that makes every step meaningful.

Your "why" acts as both an emotional compass and a philosophical anchor. It links your daily efforts to your core principles and long-term aspirations, ensuring that your pursuit of success is not just effective but also deeply fulfilling and sustainable. In essence, knowing your "why" transforms your path into a purposeful journey of growth, resilience, and lasting achievement.

  • Gracious and Loving Father, in the quiet sanctuary of my heart, I pause to acknowledge Your presence within me. Thank You for the gift of Your Spirit, a constant companion in my walk through life. I am humbled by the call to be Your ambassador, to embody the love and grace of Jesus in all I do.

Shape me, Lord, into a vessel of Your peace. May Your Spirit guide my actions, temper my words, and radiate through my being. Help me to discern Your will with clarity and to follow Your gentle promptings with unwavering faith. Grant me the wisdom to navigate each day with compassion and the courage to love as You love, unconditionally and without reserve.

In the precious name of Jesus Christ, I offer this prayer, trusting in Your unfailing goodness and mercy. Amen.
