    *TODAY IN HISTORY*

    * On this day in 1914, Britain declared war on Germany. Seen by many as the decision that began the first World War, Britain declared war on Germany after Germany refused to accept its ultimatum of getting out of Belgium.

    * On this day in 1984, the Republic of Upper Volta was Renamed Burkina Faso. The West African country was first created in 1958 as a self-governing French colony and gained its independence in 1960. In 1983, a military coup installed Captain Thomas Sankara as the country’s president. He changed the name of the country to Burkina Faso a year later on the coup’s anniversary.

Just 9 years later, he had retired from football at 29 years-old. Since then he found a new direction in his life; the Wim Hof Method, one of the most difficult endurance challenges in the world.

He climbed up the Sniezka Mountains, the highest point in the Czech Republic (1630m above sea level), with no T-shirt and just shorts on.

Schürrle: "The last minutes I couldn't feel anything and I had to find something deep inside me to keep going. An experience I will never forget! -19 degrees, 100 km/h wind in our faces, heavy snow and rain. What I learned... my body and I are stronger than I thought if I put my mind and soul into it I can do it all."

  • DUNAMIS SEEDS OF DESTINY A Daily Devotional by Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche

    TUESDAY, 22ND JULY 2025.

TOPIC: WHAT MATTERS MOST IN LIFE

SCRIPTURE: Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. ECCLESIASTES 12:13

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is not whether we are citizens of a particular nation, but whether we are citizens of Heaven; that is what matters most.
We live in a world where unprofitable activities and ungodly pleasure have become the cravings of many people. It is obvious that many people do not know what really matters in life, so they end up chasing shadows. Many people ended the journey of life in regret because they were busy chasing shadows on earth in their lifetime. They ended up wasting their lives and energy in the wrong pursuit.

This is why it is important to know what matters most in life, so we don’t end up in regret at the end of our journey on earth. Today, we shall be looking at the things that matter most in life.

    1. It is not who we are but whose we are, that matters most in life (1John 5:4-5, John 3:16). If you are a doctor, lawyer, millionaire, billionaire, etc. it does not matter as much as whom you belong to. People’s achievements on earth do not matter if they do not have a functional relationship with God.

    2. It is not whether we are citizens of a particular nation, but whether we are citizens of Heaven; that is what matters most in life. There are those who celebrate how they became citizens of the USA, the UK, Germany, etc. All that is alright, but it does not matter which passport you have, if you do not have the passport to Heaven; it is a waste of life (Revelation 20:15).

    3. It is not where we are going to spend holidays and vacations, but where we are going to spend eternity that matters most. Many people say, “I am going to spend summer holiday in Europe. I am going to Dubai.” It is alright, but where are you going to spend eternity. It is what matters most.

    4. It is not the quality of the physical dress on our body but the purity of our spiritual garment that matters most. In Zechariah 3:1-4, Joshua, the High Priest, as a minister, was clothed in filthy garments before the Angel. There are people who look like king Solomon in their physical apperance but look like vultures in the spirit.
    5. It is not the amount of money in your bank account but the eternal deposits in our kingdom account with God that matters. For what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul (Mark 8:36)?

Beloved, to live a fulfilled life on earth and end well in eternity, you have to focus on the things that matter most in life.
Remember this: It is not whether we are citizens of a particular nation but whether we are citizens of Heaven; that is what matters most in life.

    ASSIGNMENT(S):
    1. Assess your heart: where would you be if you found yourself in eternity now?
    2. Determine to pursue only the things that matter most in life.
    3. Make demands on God’s grace to walk in His Will.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to focus on the things that matter most in life. Remove every distraction from my life and cause me to walk in Your Will Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: WHAT MATTERS MOST IN LIFE

    DAILY BIBLE READING: Isaiah 22-24

QUOTE: Any step taken outside God is a step into disaster. Culled from the book, 21 Foolish Things People Do by Dr Paul Enenche.

AMAZING FACT: The nearest heavenly body to us is the moon, and the moon is approximately 245,000 miles away.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: The Lord help you to focus on that which really matters in life in Jesus Name.

  • Crypto is now the world's 6th largest "economy"

With a total market cap of $4 trillion, the crypto sector has surpassed the GDP of the UK ($3.84T), France ($3.21T), and Italy ($2.42T).

Only the US, China, Germany, India, and Japan are ahead.

Not bad for a borderless industry.
