• Japa: "I Sold My Father’s House For ₦45M To Relocate To Canada, I'm Jobless Now"

A former Lagos State University (LASU) student, John Chukwudi, sold his late father's house for ₦45 million to finance his move to Canada, a decision he now deeply regrets.

He says he was driven to leave Nigeria by the government's poor policies and the lack of opportunities for young people, even for a university graduate like himself.

Chukwudi had hoped to start a new, more prosperous life and had promised his father he would be able to buy him a new house in Enugu within a year.

After arriving in Canada, however, Chukwudi struggled to find a job despite his diligent efforts.

A year later, he remains unemployed, feeling isolated and abandoned by the cousin who initially encouraged his relocation.

He now questions if the drastic decision to sell his family home was worth the significant personal and financial costs.

  • HOW MY ROOMMATE LURED ME TO BE KÏLLÈD IN ORDER TO USE MY HËAD FOR HIS FATHER'S BURIÅL

    A True Life Story.

    Episode 3

To be honest, I don't know this girl from anywhere, I only saw her that same day while coming to the burial.

I mean, while I was being transported to that village, I observed a heated argument between a young lady and a motorcycle rider over a 200 naira fee. The situation escalated to the point where the rider suddenly dismounted from his motorcycle and forcefully pulled the woman's hand,

    He almost slapped the girl.

Then, when we saw the altercation, I told the bike man to drive closer to them in order to find out their problem,

We discovered as we got there, that the lady in question boarded her way to that place to buy an attachment with a mindset of paying the bike man their usual fee of 300 naira.

However, the cyclist unexpectedly raised the price to 500 naira because of the high cost of fuel, according to him.

So when I heard about that , I promptly handed him a sum of 200 naira so he could free the girl.

That was the extent of it, and I was unaware that Kelvin was her cousin.

I didn't even recall the incident again.

But that's the girl through whom God saved me.

    Anyways,

As she tiptoed to survey around, Kelvin unexpectedly entered, causing the girl to panic, although he didn't notice nor suspect anything.

"Why are you still here after dropping the food?" he asked the girl who walked outside gracefully while subtly signaling me not to eat the soup with a glance.

Then Kelvin who turned and looked at me,

Baba, you see how busy I am?

    Please I dey sorry bro,

Na why I say make you come assist me be that, sorry say I dey leave you commot. He said, using pidgin.

Please go ahead and eat," the food is for you . he concluded.

I then feigned to open the food instantly and grimaced.

"Oh, bro you brought me white soup? I no dey like am o, I said.

The thing dey worry my belle o. I pretended.

Oya carry this one chop and give me rice,I prefer rice, I said but Kelvin declined to eat.

I mean, Kelvin concealed his feelings of frustration, one could notice how distress and angered he was, but he put on that facade of being okay, and smiled.

The food sweet oo? He said trying to persuade me.

    I nodded in disagreement.

Then, since there was no alternative, he left the room again, and in a brief period, that same lady brought me a plate of jellof rice.

Upon entering the room, she quickly instructed me to stand up and walked toward the same doorway that I came in.

She said, broo, you see that door, walk straight as if your life depends on it and don't look back till you surface outside.

    When you get outside,

There's a blue motorcycle on your left hand side with a key in it, and you can only start it if you're able to drive. She shivered as she spoke.

As soon as you see the bike, don't panic, don't shiver, that's Kelvin motorcycle, everyone would think it's kel that send you something.

"Start the bike and leave this compound, because In the next few minutes, you won't see your life again," she said as she left the room.

    Eehh,

    She halted,

Please if you get caught, don't mention my name o, because I go deny you. She eventually walked away.

Immediately she said this, I suddenly peed for trouser.

    I wasn't myself again.

I uttered a prayer to God.

I told God that a person only knows their birth date, but not their death date.

Please help me papa, but if I die today, don't fail to expose Kelvin, let him süffer, I said as I walked cautiously down to the corridor.

Then, while walking down the corridor, I observed a room being prepared like a grave, with chiefs from various villages gathered and singing powerful songs, including war chants and incantations.

  • Hey Sis! These aren’t just cute cards with nice words. These are faith-filled, fire-laced declarations for the woman who’s tired of living on survival mode.

Every card in this deck was prayerfully written to help you get your mind right, stir your spirit, and start speaking life over yourself—daily. Because the truth is, your words shape your world. And if you don’t speak what God says about you, something else will fill the silence.

    These affirmations will help you:

    1. Stay grounded in truth when your emotions are all over the place

    2. Declare health, peace, success, favor, clarity, identity—over and over, until your soul catches up!!!

    3. Build a rhythm of faith in your day (yes, even on those “I’m not feeling it” days)

This is for the woman who’s fighting silent battles, showing up for everyone else, but knows deep down—it’s time to start showing up for yourself too.

Speak them over your morning, over your mind, over Your body into Your atmosphere. Keep them on your desk, your mirror, your handbag , your altar—wherever you need to be reminded who you are and whose you are.

These cards won’t just inspire you. They’ll activate you.
Let’s stop playing small with our words.
Let’s speak like women who carry power.

Speak life daily. Watch your world shift.
