  • EFCC Arrests 17 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Uyo

    Operatives of the Uyo Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 17 suspected internet fraudsters in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

    The suspects are: Osita Emmanuel (25 years), Saint Johnson, (20 years), Peter Lucky (26 years), Samuel Asuquo, (28 years), Raphael James, (29 years), Chimobi Moses, (29 years), Edara Ubong, (21 years) and Nchekwube Paul, (23 years).

    Others are, Happiness Anietie Michael (23 years), Christopher Edet (32years), Amadi Justice (27 years), Patrick Ahiakwo, (30 years), Sunday Umoh (24 years), Michael Ekerette Sunday, (25 years), Kennedy Etim Okokon, (29 years), Igwe Greg, (30 years), and Goodnews Ita, (23 years).

    They were arrested on April 11 and 14, 2025 in an intelligence-driven sting operation in Use- Offot Nwaniba, Urua Ekpa, Ring Road 3, Ikot Ekpene Road, Calabar Itu Road and the Mechanic Village areas of the state capital.

    Items recovered from them included 26 smartphones, three laptop computers, a white-coloured Lexus IS 250 with registration number ABJ- 739AV, a metallic grey-coloured Toyota Corolla with registration number KTE-687EP, a black-coloured Lexus 350 with registration number BWR-36LN and a black-coloured GLE with Registration number FST-863JS.

    They would be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.

    PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS BOARD CHAIRMEN FOR NTA, AUTOMOTIVE COUNCIL, 21 OTHERS, AND DIRECTOR-GENERAL FOR NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL SEED COUNCIL

    President Bola Tinubu has appointed Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as Board Chairman of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

  • POLICIES IMPLEMENTATION: Ibiono Ibom Council Chairman Engages Youths

    Not fewer than 137 youths were Inaugurated into different committees in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area on Monday, January 6, 2025, by the Council Chairman, Rt. Hon Asuakak Umoh.

    According to the Chairman, Unity and human development was the 2nd of the six pillars of good governance of his Campaign Organisation

    The committees Inaugurated by the Council Chairman were; the Revenue Committee, Environmental and Sanitation Committee and Media and Publicity Committee

    The Chairman said that the committees have the responsibility to assist his administration in successfully executing its policies and programmes in their respective areas of commitment

    According to the Chairman, youths have a special and critical role to play in his government, and his administration is committed to building youths so that they can contribute their quota to the economic and social development of Ibiono Ibom

    Umoh acknowledged the fact that any society that refuses to develop, empower and position the youth for the future is doomed

    Inaugurating the 100-Man Environmental and Sanitation Committee, the Chairman noted that the Inauguration is part of the council’s efforts to provide a clean and healthy environment for residents. He also tasked the 27 members of the Media and Publicity Committee to be accurate, and responsive in their reportage of government activities to build trust and a sense of ownership among indigenes

    The Council Boss Charged the 9-man Revenue Committee to explore new revenue streams that will lead to improved Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) for the council to fund developmental projects and improve the overall quality of life for residents.

    The Committee on Revenue is headed by Comr. Ofonmbuk Patrick, the Environmental and Sanitation Committee is headed by Elder Victor Etok, while the Media and Publicity Committee is headed by Akparawa Ubong George.

  • This is a massive push in the Brando Community. Kudos to our Great Leader and visioner, Ambassador Ubong Brownson, and Ambassador Ebukabest and the entire Brando Workforce. May God Almighty strengthen you guys the more for higher feats in Jesus name. My advice to anyone that has not bought enough BRC to pack more now as BRC is already skyrocketing.
