  • *Texas lawmakers are urging Tesla to delay its robotaxi launch until September 1, when new autonomous driving regulations are scheduled to go into effect*

    Updated: June 19th, 2025
    https://youtu.be/qkIMrpfokEM?si=RPRUELHd_fe2N6wg

    https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/tesla-asked-delay-robotaxi-launch-by-democratic-texas-lawmakers-2025-06-19/

A group of seven Texas lawmakers, primarily Democratic legislators, have indeed urged Tesla to delay its robotaxi launch in Austin until September 1, 2025. The lawmakers sent a letter to Elon Musk's Tesla, citing concerns about public safety and the need for compliance with new state regulations governing autonomous vehicles.

A robotaxi is a self-driving taxi that uses artificial intelligence and sensors to navigate roads without human intervention. It's like a regular taxi, but instead of a human driver, the vehicle is controlled by computers and sensors.

Imagine calling a taxi, and when it arrives, there's no driver. You get in, and the car takes you to your destination safely and efficiently. That's what a robotaxi is all about!

The new regulations, set to take effect on September 1, would require autonomous vehicles to:
    - *Meet Safety Standards*: Autonomous vehicles would need to adhere to specific safety standards
    - *Register under Texas Law*: Autonomous vehicles would need to be registered according to Texas law
    - *Provide Emergency Interaction Plans*: Autonomous vehicles would need to have plans in place for emergency interactions

The lawmakers believe that delaying the launch until the new regulations are in effect would help build trust in Tesla's autonomous vehicle operations and serve public safety interests. However, Tesla is not legally required to halt its planned launch, which was originally set for June 22, 2025, and was expected to involve 10-20 geofenced vehicles operating continuously.

" I will not have the gods on advising anybody to come and invest in Nigeria if I am not leading. If I had invested my $25-billion in the likes of Microsoft, Tesla, Google, and Co. I would've been worth over $125-billion by now. But I am not worth $125-billion because I choose to invest in my home country, Nigeria. I choose to make sure that I liberate my own people. What I am doing in Nigeria is not about money, if I wanted money, I would've invested in America.
But right now with what I've done in Nigeria, I can talk to anybody to come and invest in Nigeria because I'm doing it and succeeding. Most foreign investors come to Nigeria because they see me doing it, I have removed that fêar in investors." ~ Aliko Dangote

Truly some people don't just care about money, imagine forgoing over $100-billion just to create jobs for your fellow country-men.

    Ten Unknown Facts About #Tesla
Founding: Tesla was founded in 2003 by engineers Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning,
not Elon Musk. Musk joined the company as a major investor and became its public face.
Model Naming Quirk: Tesla’s car lineup follows a playful pattern: Model S, 3, X, and Y.
Elon Musk has said it was meant to spell "S3XY," with the number 3 replacing an "E."
Battery Focus: Tesla's breakthrough isn’t just in electric cars but also in battery technology. Tesla has invested heavily in creating
powerful and long-lasting batteries, not only for cars but also for energy storage solutions like Powerwall.

company is working on Full Self-Driving (FSD) software, which could eventually enable true autonomous driving.
Gigafactories: Tesla operates massive manufacturing plants known as Gigafactories, located in the U.S., China, and
Germany. These factories are integral to Tesla’s ability to scale production and reduce costs.
SpaceX Connection: Tesla and SpaceX, both run by Elon Musk, share more than just a CEO. The companies collaborate on technology, and
SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy rocket even launched a Tesla Roadster into space as part of a 2018 test flight.
Sustainable Vision: Tesla's mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
In addition to electric cars, the company is a leader in solar power and energy storage solutions.

download new features and improvements to their cars without visiting a dealership.
AI and Robots: Tesla’s AI Day event introduced Tesla Bot, a humanoid robot designed to handle dangerous or
repetitive tasks, showcasing Musk’s vision for AI and robotics beyond automobiles.
Environmental Impact: Tesla has reduced the overall carbon footprint of its vehicle manufacturing and is
working on creating fully recyclable batteries, making it a leader in the green automotive revolution.

  • Musk to Decommission US Space Project as Trump Announces Removal of Governmental Subsidies, Contracts

American billionaire and Chief Executive Officer of Tesla, Elon Musk, has announced plan to decommission his SpaceX Dragon spacecraft used by the United States amid ongoing rift between him and the U.S President, Donald Trump.

NPO Reported that Trump who was heavily backed by Musk during his Presidential campaign, had yesterday expressed his disappointment with the Tesla boss over his disagreement with the proposed tax and spending bill.

Musk had in a post on his X handle described the bills as “disgusting abomination.”

Addressing White House Press o Thursday, Trump said he was “very surprised” and “disappointed” with Musk’s criticisms of his centrepiece budget bill.

He hinted possible end to his relationship with Musk who had just recently stepped down from his role as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)- a body responsible for the reduction of government’s expenses.

“Elon and I had a great relationship. I don’t know if we will anymore,” Trump said.

In what had since escalated into wars of words, Musk fired back at the President in a post on his X, stressing that he wouldn’t have won the 2024 election without him

Musk accused the president of “Such ingratitude”, adding: “Without me, Trump would have lost the election”.

The last development of the feud would be Trump’s response on his Truth Social handle where he declared the removal of Musk’s governmental subsidies and contracts.

“The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon’s Governmental Subsidies and Contracts. I was always surprised that Biden didn’t do it!” He wrote.

In reaction, Musk also declared the decommissioning of his SpaceX Dragon spacecraft used by the United States.

“In light of the President’s statement about cancellation of my government contracts, @SpaceX will begin decommissioning its Dragon spacecraft immediately.” Musk wrote.

In what had since escalated into wars of words, Musk fired back at the President in a post on his X, stressing that he wouldn’t have won the 2024 election without him Musk accused the president of “Such ingratitude”, adding: “Without me, Trump would have lost the election”.
