  • Senator Wadada: Hiring Crowd Is Not Capacity, It Is Camouflage

    By Ibrahim Musa Andafu
    ***
A Facebooker mentioned that some people were hired or lobbied to attend Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada's turbaning ceremony in Lafia today. If that claim holds any truth, then it calls for honest reflection. He was turbaned as Magajin Dangin Lafia Bare-Bari.

Capacity is not determined by the number of people gathered, but by the genuine connection between a leader and the people. When individuals are paid to attend an event, they disappear once the money or influence wears off. But when people are inspired, they remain committed even after the event ends.

Hiring or persuading people to show up is not a demonstration of strength, it is a clear sign of desperation. True popularity does not require rented claps or staged loyalty. It is revealed through the quiet yet sincere support of ordinary people who believe in the values a leader represents.

We must learn to separate real support from artificial appearance. Genuine followership builds lasting respect, while manufactured crowds only feed temporary illusion. Not every large crowd is a sign of greatness, just as not every applause is a sign of approval.

Meanwhile, a personality with capacity, national connection, and influence do not need to hired people in order to fake his popularity.

At the end of the day, it is not about how many people came, but why they came. That reason, not the number, defines the true value of leadership.

  • If President Donald Trump believes that by imposing 15% tariffs on Nigerian goods that we shall kneel before him, crawl on our bellies, bow and tremble, wag our tails and proclaim "YES SIR, MASSER SIR" like those 5 servile and imbecilic African Uncle Tom's that he invited to the White House and openly insulted to their faces the other day then he is sadly mistaken.

Nigerians are made of stronger stuff than that. We are the pride and strength of Africa and the hope of the black race: we bow to no nation and to no man.

Impose all the tariffs that you deem fit: GREAT NIGERIA shall still stand tall and proudly hold her head up high! ✊️

  • Dearest Lord, in the quiet sanctuary of my heart, I lift my voice in gratitude for the unseen guardians You have arrayed around me. With a spirit both humbled and reassured, I acknowledge Your loving provision of angelic sentries. May I walk in confidence, not in my own strength, but in the knowledge of Your divine protection that envelopes me. In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, I offer this prayer, trusting in Your eternal promise to shield and guide me. Amen.

  • *TRILLION DECEPTION: WHO IS FOOLING WHO?**

The National Pension Commission (PenCom) claims it will cost the Federal Government ₦3.5 trillion annually if the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) exits the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS). We, the retired officers who have served this nation, call out this claim as a *BLATANT LIE*.

This isn't just a numbers game; it's a calculated campaign of misinformation designed to protect a multi-trillion naira industry at the expense of our lives. Let's examine the evidence.

*CLAIM 1: The Myth of 400,000 Police Retirees*

PenCom's argument rests on the absurd claim that funding the pensions of 400,000 police retirees would bankrupt the nation. However, the entire serving strength of the Nigeria Police Force is approximately 371,800 officers. How can the number of retirees be larger than the total number of currently serving personnel? This is a deliberate inflation of figures to create fear and block the Police Exit Bill.

CLAIM 2: The Outrageous ₦3.5 Trillion Annual Cost

In February 2025, the Federal Government announced it had cleared the entire backlog of accrued pension rights for all federal retirees with ₦758 billion. This covered 250,000 retirees from every Ministry, Department, and Agency (MDA). How can PenCom justify a demand for ₦3.5 trillion every single year for the Police alone? This figure is nearly five times the amount needed to clear the national pension backlog. It's a scare tactic, not a realistic financial projection.

*CLAIM 3: Their Real Fear—The ₦24 Trillion Empire is at Risk*

As of May 2025, the total assets under the CPS stood at over ₦24 trillion. The contributions from the Nigeria Police Force are a foundational pillar of this fund. If the Police leave, it triggers a domino effect. They know that other paramilitary agencies will follow, and their financial empire, built on the sweat of Nigerian workers, will crumble. This isn't about fiscal responsibility; it's about corporate greed.

*CLAIM 4: The Reality of CPS—A System of Poverty and Pain*

PenCom paints the CPS as a modern, sustainable system. For us, the retirees, it's a system of state-sanctioned poverty. We face humiliating pensions, no gratuity, and a 10-year death sentence. After 35 years of risking our lives, many of us are condemned to a monthly pension of between ₦30,000 and ₦100,000. This is not a dignified retirement; it's a struggle for survival.

    *OUR DEMAND IS SIMPLE: JUSTICE*

We will not be silenced by fabricated numbers and corporate propaganda. The men and women who police this nation deserve dignity in retirement, not a life of poverty engineered to enrich fund managers. The advocacy continues. The truth is on our side.

*We say YES to exiting the CPS! We say NO to PenCom's lies! Justice for Police Retirees Now!*

  • Every bold step you take toward growth is a declaration of self-belief.

When you start a business, you're not just chasing an opportunity—you’re putting faith in your vision, your resilience, and your ability to create value where none existed.

When you begin a new project, you're trusting in your skills, your creativity, and your power to bring ideas to life, even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed.

When you choose to eat healthier, you’re choosing long-term well-being over short-term comfort. You’re investing in your future energy, focus, and vitality.

When you commit to a workout, you're prioritizing your strength—both mental and physical. You’re telling yourself you’re worth the effort, even when it's tough.

When you make something—whether it's art, a product, a plan, or a solution—you’re affirming that your thoughts matter and that your contributions have purpose.

And when you simply show up—on hard days, in unfamiliar rooms, or for your goals—you’re proving that you believe in your potential, even when it feels uncertain.

Every action that favors growth over ease, discipline over distraction, and vision over fear is a vote of confidence in yourself.

In all these moments, big or small, you’re placing a powerful bet on your own future.
