• E-MONEY RELEASED AFTER EFCC INTERROGATION

Popular businessman and socialite Emeka Okonkwo, known widely as E-Money, has been released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after being questioned for several hours.

E-Money was picked up by EFCC officials on Monday night at his home in Omole, Lagos, and taken to their office in Abuja. His arrest was connected to allegations of naira abuse and mishandling of foreign currency. Authorities say he was seen spraying US dollars at a public event — an action that goes against the Foreign Exchange Act.

EFCC has recently increased efforts to enforce currency regulations, especially since 2024, citing Section 21 of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Act which bans the abuse of the naira and defacing of foreign currency.

After his release on Tuesday night, E-Money addressed his fans through a video posted on Instagram. The post showed him sitting in an elegant room with a gospel song playing in the background. He wrote, “No tension, everywhere good. I see all your love and support. God bless you all.”

  • SAD REALITY

Did you know Davido was the only major artiste who showed up for the Headies Awards?
Many of the top artistes didn’t bother to attend simply because it’s a Nigerian award.

Even Shallipopi, who won an award, reportedly rejected his own category.
Yet these same artistes are ready to spend millions traveling abroad just to attend the Grammys.
The same Shallipopi who rejected a Headies win would gladly accept a Grammy nod even as a background act.

This is one of Africa’s biggest problems:
We often fail to value our own until it’s praised by the West.
If it’s made in Africa, it’s "not enough" — but once it’s foreign, we worship it.

    Moral of the story:
This is why Davido deserves respect. He left America, came back for the Headies, stayed till the very end, and honored his roots.
    God bless 001!

  • Your child deserves sunlight.
    Freedom.
    Joy.
The healing power of outdoor play.

But freedom without protection can be dangerous.

Because sometimes what’s disturbing your child…
    Isn’t “just growing up.”
    It’s worms.

    Yes, worms.

    If your child is:
    —Grinding their teeth at night
    —Scratching their bum constantly
    —Bedwetting again after being trained
    —Always tired or cranky
    —Struggling to speak
    —Restless at night
    —Showing strange behavior…

You need to stop assuming it’s “normal.”
It might be parasites — worms living rent-free in their gut.

And they didn’t just get there by magic.

    They came through:
    —Dirty hands
    —Unwashed fruit
    —Sachet water
—And yes — walking barefoot on contaminated soil

    Here’s the harsh truth:
Most Nigerian children are exposed to worms before age 5.
And while routine deworming is good, it’s not enough.

Because if your child is still eating junk, drinking bad water, or lacking gut protection…
The worms will come back. Again and again.

And each time, they steal more:
    —Iron
    —Zinc
    —Vitamin A
    —Growth
    —Sleep
    —Brain power

So no, your child isn’t just being difficult.
They may be hosting something that’s draining them from the inside.

Let them play outside. But protect their gut.
Because a sick gut creates a sick child.

Tag a parent who needs to read this.
And share this post — you might save a child’s future.

  • Today, I had the honour of welcoming the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, to Benue State as he came to commiserate with us over the recent tragic attacks by armed herders.

As part of our continued efforts to restore peace and protect the lives of our people, I am pleased to announce that arrangements have been finalized for the establishment of a Naval Operational Base in Makurdi, which will strengthen our internal security architecture and enhance the Navy’s capacity to respond swiftly to threats within our communities.

In support of this vital initiative, the Benue State Government has graciously donated 179 hectares of land on the banks of the River Benue to the Nigerian Navy for the establishment of this Special Operations Command.

This development is the result of sustained engagement. Recall that I personally visited the Chief of Naval Staff last year to make this demand and advocate for an increased security presence in Benue, which he granted.

I am deeply encouraged to see that work has already commenced. This is not just a win for Benue; it is a powerful reminder that when we lead with vision and unity, progress follows.

I thank the Chief of Naval Staff and the Federal Government for their continued support in securing our territorial integrity.

  • BREAKING NEWS NAF SENTENCES PERSONNEL TO D£ATH BY H∆NGING FOR K1LL1NG HIS GIRLFRIEND

A General Court Martial of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Tuesday sentenced Air Craftman Benard Kalu to death by hanging for the killing of his colleague-girlfriend, Corporal Oladipupo S. A.

Kalu shot and killed Oladipupo at her Corporal and Below Quarters, Compound 9, Air Force Base, Makurdi on the allegation that she was having an affair with another man.

Kalu, 21, after breaking into Oladipupo’s home in the early hours of the fateful Sunday, shot her on the neck at close range, and also attempted to kill the man he met in the apartment.

But his rifle got hooked, a situation that allowed the man to struggle with Kalu until he was able to disarm him.

The Judge Advocate, Flight Lieutenant MA Umoh, listed the eight-count charge against Kalu to include murder, house breaking, attempted murder, failure to perform military duty, loss of service property, disobedience of service order as well as prejudice of service discipline.

Umoh noted that the accused pleaded not guilty to all the eight-count charge, adding that the prosecution brought 13 witnesses, while three witnesses including the accused were called by the defence counsel.

He maintained further that even though the prosecution found him guilty on all the eight-count charge, the defence, in closing their case, said the prosecution did not prove the case beyond reasonable doubt.

The defence counsel, Abimiku Ewuga, urged the court to temper justice with mercy in their sentence especially as the accused was a first time offender and the bread winner of his family.

Delivering judgment, President of the court, Gp. Capt. Elisha Bindul, who found the accused guilty on six out of the eight-count charge preferred against him, sentenced him to death by hanging subject to the confirmation of the conveying authority.
