    THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
    *Trust in God is absolute when we are bankrupt of options.*

    MESSAGE
    The Psalmist, in today's text, expressed his unreserved trust and confidence in God alone, because he understood the danger of trusting in mortal men irrespective of their status or placement in life.

    Humans are so frail, fickle and unsure. The best of men are still men, subject to the limitations of flesh and blood.

    Only God is truly reliable, absolute and consistent with His word.

    It is easy to say I trust in God only when you do not have anyone in your life.

    However, the Psalmist in today's text, being a king had all kinds of people around him, but his experiences about men generally was probably not a palatable one.

    He reiterated that his hope was in God alone.

    There are three dimensions to the issue of trust.

    1. There is "no need for trust" in God when there is an assurance of options.

    2. "Low trust" in God when there are options but unsure of their reliability.

    3. Absolute trust when you do not have any option.

    Usually, trust in God is absolute when you realise that you do not have anyone to look up to for help.

    Let me ask you: Do you have options of where or whom to run to apart from the Lord?

    Or is your trust absolutely on God alone?

    The Bible tells us that the eyes of the Lord run to and fro the earth looking for those who are absolutely trusting in His help to show Himself mighty on their behalf. (2Chr 16:9)

    It is possible to have all kinds of people in your life, as in the case with the Psalmist in today's text, but he chose to repose his complete trust in God because in his honest opinion of men he saw that they were altogether lighter than vanity.

    *Beloved, it is capital wisdom to trust in God, who is most reliable instead of fickle men who are given to change.*

    ACTION STEPS
    1. Prayerfully meditate on today's devotional guide.
    2. Allow the Lord to introduce men to you.
    3. Ask the Lord to help you align yourself with His mercies and grace for timely help always.

    How the Lobi of Ivory Coast resisted Fulani invasion

    The only cure for madness is exactly madness. As long as we continue to appeal to Fulani to reason with us, the more they will do worse things. Until we revenge on a grand scale by killing the good, the bad, and the ugly Fulani. The stupidity will not stop.

    I know I have told the story of the Lobi and Fulani here before. The Lobi live in north western Ivory Coast. The Lobi are a very small ethnic group but filled with courage, determination, and raw rage when they are attacked by strangers.

    The population of Lobi is about 250,000 in Ivory Coast, but they rose up and resisted Fulani. They didn't wait for the government to help them. They organised and defended their land. They didn't quarrel over donations for arms and equipment. They actually raised the funds in secret, running into millions of dollars. They got their men in the military who trained their young civilians.

    They organised a secret armed group, no noise,no zoom meetings, no protest to the United Nations, no video showing the plans to attack Fulani, or showing their dead bodies.

    They mainly cultivate yams. In 2014- 2016, they had Fulani problems killings and their crops being harvested for cattle. After meetings to stop, the madness yielded no fruits. The lobi declared that any Fulani on their land is carrying a death sentence on their head and their cows fair game.
    For six months without stop, every Fulani settlement in Lobi territory was surrounded and raised, killing every single living thing within it. Even chicken. Those wandering through to graze their cattle did not fair well either. The leaders who came from neighbouring countries to sue for truce didn’t leave alive.
    It took the government of Ivory Coast, the Sultan of Sokoto ( the current person) to make concessions to the Lobi for them to agree that for the next 10 years no Fulani or cattle can pass through without first getting a permission slip from their king. The truce will end in 2027 !!!

    When I met my wife was in 2010, she had a child, 4 years old then. She was a single mother, working hard to provide for herself and child. She was only 27 years old. I was 30, I needed a good woman to marry.

I never took a penny from her business, I only put in more money for her to expand and be a boss of her own. She bought her own car aside what I gave her in 2021 and started building a house she claimed she wanted her mother to occupy.
    We have two kids together, making three in total. I’ve only been a good father and husband to my family. I don’t interfere in my wife’s business, I respect her ideas so I only encourage her to grow.
    I work full time, I’m my own boss but I still make sure I go to work everyday and spend the normal hours I’ve to at work. My wife does same but sometimes I try to visit her at work and on several occasions, I met her absence. Her excuse was always, she went to check on some materials. I have always believed her.

So the results came out two weeks ago. I went for it and when I checked, neither of the kids are mine. I was so shocked! I said nothing, I only stayed away from the house for three days so I could calm down. After that, I invited her parents and mine over and made her read the results of the test to them herself. She didn’t know why I called the meeting, I shocked her and everyone else. She confessed at the meeting that the kids were all for Owura, her baby daddy. The man she claimed abandoned her.
