  • KIDDWAYA VISITS BSUTH, PAYS MEDICAL BILLS FOR THOUSANDS AND SUPPORTS UNDERPRIVILEGED STUDENTS

In a remarkable display of compassion and generosity, billionaire son and philanthropist, Kiddwaya, paid a surprise visit to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH) two days ago, bringing hope and relief to countless families in need.

On April 15, 2025, Kiddwaya, accompanied by his team, cleared medical bills for thousands of patients who had been struggling to afford their treatment. The unexpected gesture sent waves of gratitude across the hospital as patients and their families, many of whom had lost hope, finally found relief.

But his kindness didn’t stop there.

Kiddwaya also extended his generosity to the educational sector by offering to pay school fees for several underprivileged students at Benue State University. This move not only eased the financial burden on these students but also served as a powerful motivation for them to continue pursuing their academic goals.

Many residents and well-wishers have since praised the initiative, describing it as an inspiring act of service and a testament to Kiddwaya’s deep connection to his roots. For years, the philanthropist had spoken about putting Benue on the map, and through this selfless act, he demonstrated his commitment not just in words, but in action.

The visit has sparked renewed conversations about the importance of giving back to one’s community, especially among those with the means to do so.

  • Compassionate and forgiving God, I'm sure you listened to Judas' and Peter's confessions of sorrow as you have listened to mine. Thank you for your love and patience with me and help me be a better person in the future. Amen.

  • Henry Darby, a high school principal from South Carolina, took on overnight shifts at Walmart — not for himself, but for his students. He worked from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., then headed straight to school, all to raise money for students struggling with poverty, homelessness, and other hardships.

He never asked for recognition. In fact, he tried to keep it quiet. But when his story came to light, it touched hearts across the country. Walmart donated $50,000 to support his mission, and countless others were inspired by his selfless example.

Mr. Darby reminds us what leadership really looks like — compassion, humility, and action. He didn’t just talk about change; he became the change.

Let’s all try to be a little more like Mr. Darby. The world needs more people like him.

  • Two days ago we celebrated mother's day, come to think of it who is a mother?

A mother is someone who nurtures, cares for, and provides love and support to a child. This can be biological, adoptive, or even in a chosen family dynamic. A mother isn’t just defined by giving birth but by the role she plays in a child's life—offering guidance, protection, and unconditional love.

    Characteristics of a mother

A mother is often characterized by a mix of emotional, psychological, and practical qualities. While every mother is unique, some common characteristics include:

    1. Unconditional Love – A mother’s love is deep, unwavering, and not based on conditions. She cares for her children regardless of their flaws.

    2. Nurturing Nature – She provides emotional and physical support, ensuring her children feel safe, loved, and cared for.

    3. Patience – Raising children requires immense patience, from teaching life lessons to handling tantrums.

    4. Selflessness – A mother often puts her child’s needs before her own, sacrificing time, sleep, and personal desires for their well-being.

    5. Strength and Resilience – She remains strong through challenges, whether emotional, financial, or personal, to support her family.

    6. Guidance and Wisdom – A mother imparts life lessons, values, and knowledge, helping her children navigate life’s ups and downs.

    7. Protectiveness – She instinctively protects her child from harm, whether emotional or physical.

    8. Compassion and Empathy – Understanding her child’s feelings and struggles, she provides comfort and reassurance.

    9. Dedication and Hard Work – Whether she’s a stay-at-home mom, a working mother, or balancing both, she is committed to providing a better life for her child.

    10. Forgiveness – Even when children make mistakes, a mother forgives and continues to support them.

While these characteristics are common, motherhood looks different for everyone. Some mothers may express love through actions rather than words, while others may be more emotional.

What do you think defines a mother best?

Let's have your opinion on this

  • A youngster asked his grandfather -
"Grandpa! How did you people live before with -

    No technology
    No aeroplanes
    No internet
    No computers
    No dramas
    No TVs
    No aircons
    No cars
    No mobile phones?"

    Grandpa replied:
"Just like how your generation live today -

    No prayers
    No compassion
    No honor
    No respect
    No character
    No shame
    No modesty"

    We,
the people born between 1950-1970, or by extension 1977-1986.
are really the blessed ones ...

    Our life is living proof.

While playing and riding "rented" bicycles in our youth,
    we never wore helmets.

    After school,
we played until dusk; we never watched TV.

    We played with real friends,
    not internet friends.

    If we ever felt thirsty,
we drank public tap water not bottled water.

We never got ill sharing the same glass of juice with four friends.

We never gained weight eating plates of rice and eba everyday.

Nothing happened to our feet despite roaming barefoot.
    Very few had shoes !.

We never used any vitamin supplements to keep ourselves healthy.

We used to create our own toys and play with them.

Most parents were not rich. They gave love .. not worldly material things.

We never had cellphones, DVDs, play station, XBox, video games, personal computers, internet, chat -
    but we had real friends.

We visited our friend's home uninvited and enjoyed their meals with them.

We holidayed with relations & Relatives lived close by, so family time was enjoyed.

We may have been priviledged to appear in black and white photos but you can find colourful memories in those photographs.

We are a unique and most understanding generation,
because we may be the last generation who respected & listened to our own parents.

AND also the first generation who have to listen to their own children.

We are a LIMITED edition !
    Enjoy us.
    Learn from us.
    Treasure us.
