  • W O M A N — The Silent Warrior of Every Home

She changes her name… to carry your legacy.
She leaves behind her home… the one where she was once a daughter, to become a wife in yours.
She says goodbye to her family… not because she wants to, but because love asks her to.
She builds a new world around you — from unfamiliar walls, she shapes a home filled with warmth.

    She carries your child —
    her body stretches, swells, aches…
yet she smiles through the sickness, the sleepless nights, the shifting tides of her being.
She faces labor — a pain most men can’t imagine —
and she walks out of that room with a child in her arms… and a soul forever changed.

    She gains weight, loses sleep,
    watches her youthful glow dim,
but she still stands in the kitchen,
    still folds your laundry,
still kisses your forehead and asks if you’ve eaten.

    Your children bear your name.
But their first love? Their first word? Their first heartbeat? It was all her.

    She cooks when she’s tired.
    Cleans when her back aches.
    Smiles through tears.
Manages your parents, your relatives, your moods.
She becomes the glue that keeps your world intact.

All while setting aside her own dreams, desires, and needs.

    She doesn’t just love —
    she sacrifices, serves, and builds.

    Not for applause.
    Not for gratitude.
But because she loves with a kind of purity this world will never fully understand.

So tell me again — who’s doing the favor?

Dear men, don’t just love her — honor her.
Appreciate her not just on birthdays or anniversaries,
but in every quiet moment she shows up for you without being asked.

Because being a woman is not just hard —
    it’s sacred.
    It’s powerful.
    And it’s priceless.

  • PASTORS' WIVES

With the rate at which Pastors and their wives are filing for divorce, I think we need to do something fast or else, the church may soon be filled with divorced Pastors and congregations. If the Pastor can get a divorce, why can't the members?

I spoke recently to an estranged Pastor's wife and her complain like the complain of other unhappily married Pastors' wives is that her husband had many "strange" women around him and when she complained, he saw her as jealous. He eventually sent her packing with her children and filed for divorce. Case closed.

I'm not here to judge anybody. It is hell going through divorce and no one needs any preaching or correction during this period.

I will use this medium to advise single ladies dating Pastors, buckle your belt. It is not enough to be seen as the First Lady in the church. You will be seen as a spiritual mother who should "accommodate" all the "sisters" flocking around your husband.

Your husband will attract women. If he doesn't go after them, they will go after him, it is natural. Women are attracted to great father figures who treat them with care and listen to their pains and hurts with tender love.

Some of these women may bond with him and want more of him, that is REALITY. The earlier you prepare your self, the lots of headache you will save yourself in future. Now, this is where your work comes in:

PRAY FOR YOUR HUSBAND DAILY: You will do well to have Stormie Omartian's THE POWER OF A PRAYING WIFE in your library.

LOOK DROP-D€AD GORGEOUS: Dress fabulous to church with your husband. Let your husband easily pick you out from the crowd of women that flocks him. Always dress to his taste.

DRESS YOUR CHARACTER: Be mature, loving, accommodating and decorate his home with peace of mind. Nagging, complaining and red hot temper can drive any man mad.

BE A CHICK AT HOME. Alright, you are no longer in church, so remove that scarf, wear something kinky and be super delicious. Use your feminine power and be seductive. Men who hang around ladies who send them signals all the time need a seductive wife at home. You've got to display all your assets conspicuously and let him know he's got the best deal at home.

GIVE HIM $€X BEFORE HE STEPS OUT OF THE HOUSE: Drain him. A $€xually hungry man's eyes wander around and he is restless around women. Do not push your husband into temptation. If there are people who need more $€x on daily basis, they are the pastors. Satisfy him $€xually and be super hot in bed.

Abeg, this is not church. This is the bedroom where the man needs to go to heaven and come back as often as possible. Let him wish he carries his bedroom to his office.

When a man is thoroughly satisfied sexually, he feels nothing for other females out there.

BE HIS FRIEND: listen to him, play with him, date him, flirt with him, encourage him, support him and always be there for him.

LET HIM BE THE MAN: Some pastors' wives are proud and pompous. They dictate to everyone around and you wonder whether they are the General Overseer or the husband. Let the husband take the lead while you offer suggestions, encourage and assist.

MAKE HIS HOME A PALACE: Keep it clean, make it comely and allow peace to reign. When a man has a loving wife, a peaceful home and the power of God backing him up, who is the woman that will snatch him?

Singles, this is a tall order. Marrying a Pastor is not a joke, it is serious business. You either prepare to be a great wife and do more than an average wife, or let him go in peace and marry someone you are comfortable with. The ball is in your court...

Thanks for reading. God bless you.

  • Pastor Kumuyi Attributes Wife’s Death to His Absence, Vows Spiritual Revenge

Pastor William Kumuyi, General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, has revealed that his absence from home contributed to the death of his first wife, Abiodun Kumuyi, who passed away on April 11, 2009, at age 57 after a brief illness. Speaking at the Global Workers’ Conference at the Deeper Life International Conference Centre, Kumuyi expressed regret, stating that the devil exploited his absence while he was preaching at a church retreat that day.

Kumuyi, who married Abiodun on September 13, 1980, in a union that lasted 28 years and produced two children, Jeremiah and John, recounted the tragic moment. “I was preaching here on Saturday, 11th April 2009, and the devil worked on my absence,” he said. Upon returning home after receiving news of her passing, he found solace in prayer and divine reassurance to move forward. Kumuyi later remarried in London on October 13, 2010.

The revered holiness preacher described his wife’s death as a painful chapter orchestrated by the devil, vowing it would not happen again. Turning grief into resolve, Kumuyi declared his intensified global evangelical mission as a “revenge” against the devil. He highlighted his extensive outreach since her passing, covering most local governments in Nigeria, nearly all African nations, and every continent. “Blind eyes have opened, deaf ears have opened, the lame have risen up and walked, and now the dead have been raised,” he said, signaling a new phase of his ministry.

Kumuyi urged his followers to take spiritual charge of their households, asserting, “Anywhere I go, now I will be in charge. Nothing will be allowed to steal anything away.” His message underscored a commitment to prevent such tragedies in his ministry and family, framing his global mission as a defiant response to personal loss.

  • OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE 2025.

    AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

    DATE: SATURDAY MAY 31ST, 2025.

    THEME: SURRENDER ALL

    MEMORISE:

“And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.” - (Matthew 19:29)

    READ: 1 KINGS 19:19-21 (KJV)

19 So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.

20 And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee?

21 And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him.

    MESSAGE:

When Elijah went to Elisha's farm and threw his mantle on him, Elisha didn't waste time before he surrendered all to answer God's call. Elisha seemed to be a rich fellow because Elijah met him plowing with twelve yokes of oxen when he passed by him. However, Elisha didn't count this as anything because he returned home, killed a yoke of oxen, gave it to his people, and followed Elijah to become his servant. Within a day, the manager of an apparently thriving agricultural business became a prophet's servant.

Elisha ministered to Elijah and was known as the one who poured water on the hands of Elijah (2 Kings 3:11). The blessings Elisha got for surrendering all in service to God are unquantifiable. He received a double portion of Elijah's anointing (2 Kings 2:9-15), became a father to kings (2 Kings 6:21), and even after his death, his dry bones raised a dead man back to life (2 Kings 13:21). When a man surrenders all to the One who made him, he will live an impactful life.

From Elisha's story, we see that lasting greatness begins with absolute surrender. Any seed that will count for anything, must first enter into the soil and die. It must surrender its beauty and strength so as to rot in the earth before new life can sprout from it. Jesus said:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. (John 12:24-25)

Beloved, surrender all to the One who made you, and He will guide you aright. When you surrender your life to God, you are asking Him to help you because you don't know the best way to live your life. In John 15:5, Jesus said, "Without me, you can do nothing." Paul also knew the secret to absolute surrender, and that is why he said, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).

Those who surrender all to Jesus will gain more in the end. However, those who keep a part of their lives, like Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5:1-2 end up losing even more than the things they are trying to keep.

    PRAYER POINT:

Father, please help me to surrender all to You wholeheartedly.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: JOB 17-20

    HYMNAL: 7 - I AM THINE O LORD

1 I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
    And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith,
And be closer drawn to Thee.

    Refrain:

Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
    To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
    To Thy precious, bleeding side.

2 Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
    By the pow’r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

    [Refrain]

3 Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,
I commune as friend with friend!

    [Refrain]

4 There are depths of love that I cannot know
    Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.

    [Refrain]

THEME: SURRENDER ALL MEMORISE: “And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.” - (Matthew 19:29) READ: 1 KINGS 19:19-21 (KJV) 19 So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him. • When the Titanic was slipping beneath the icy waters of the North Atlantic, amid the terror and chaos, one calm figure emerged from below decks: the ship’s head baker, Charles Joughin. He wore no uniform, wielded no authority, and carried no whistle to command attention—only a life-long habit of caring for others.

As panicked passengers scrambled for the lifeboats, Charles gathered loaves of bread and passed them along to women and children huddled on deck. He urged the hesitant forward and helped load every boat he could. When the last lifeboat had pushed off, he didn’t scramble for a place—he gave up his own chance and stayed behind on the sinking ship.

Back in his cabin, he poured himself a stiff whiskey and waited. At 2:20 AM the great steel liner vanished beneath the waves. Charles found himself alone in freezing water—yet somehow, he survived for more than two hours until rescue arrived.

He later said he remembered neither panic nor fear, and that the cold itself was a blur. It wasn’t the whiskey—alcohol actually hastens hypothermia. What kept him afloat was his equanimity, his unshakeable spirit, years of physical endurance, and a refusal to give up.

That night he didn’t make speeches or seek the spotlight. He simply did what he had always done: cared for others. Because in the darkest hours it isn’t the loudest voice that saves us—it’s the steady hand quietly doing its duty. True heroes don’t always shout. Sometimes they just keep everyone afloat.
