Is it fair? No.
Is it worldly? Yes.
But is it a warning to all of us? Absolutely.

The world is not forgiving. The world does not forget. We may have peace with God, but that doesn’t mean we’ll have peace with men. We may be cleared in the court of heaven, but public memory doesn’t cleanse easily.

This is not about Jimmy Swaggart. This is about you, about me, about all of us. Ministers. Leaders. Fathers. Carriers of weight in the Kingdom.

The lesson?
Don’t mess up. Don’t play with sin. Don’t take grace as license.
People have a strange illusion that mere time cancels sin. It doesn’t. Time may blur details, but scandal sticks, especially involving a man of God.

Here’s a call to arms for ministers of the gospel

1. Engage in real, ruthless accountability—not cosmetic check-ins, but real brotherhood.

2. Guard your moral life like a man guards a nuclear code. If you fall sexually, your voice may still
echo but your credibility will collapse.

3. Handle finances with fear and trembling. Don’t manipulate the gospel for profit.

4. Build real systems around your life. Not fans. Not dependents. Not enablers. Build integrity into your daily decisions.

The measure of our anointing is not our gifting it’s our ability to remain holy when no one is watching.

Satan is patient. He doesn’t care if you preach 10,000 sermons as long as he can get you to collapse in one moment of compromise. And when it happens, your entire legacy is redefined in seconds.

If the story of Jimmy Swaggart teaches us anything it’s this: Pray to the One who is able to keep you from falling. And then, walk like you know the whole world is watching. Because they are.

God forgives. Men remember. Don’t be reckless with grace. Don’t gamble with your legacy.

Let this be a call. A warning. A fire alarm in the spirit. God still uses broken men but the consequences of public failure don’t vanish with anointed tears.

Stay clean. Stay low. Stay accountable. Stay burning.

AT BRICS SUMMIT, PRESIDENT TINUBU CALLS FOR REEVALUATION OF GLOBAL GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE, FINANCE AND HEALTH CARE SYSTEMS



President Bola Tinubu has called for a reevaluation of the current global governance structure and the financial and healthcare systems, urging greater equity and inclusion for low-income and emerging economies, particularly in Africa.

At the 17th meeting of the Global South and the Emerging Economies bloc, BRICS, on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the President stated that environmental degradation, the climate crisis, and healthcare inequalities should receive more attention, as they contribute to slowing growth and development.

President Tinubu, invited to the summit by Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, stated that Nigeria supports the BRICS position on the need to focus on collective, fair, and equitable global development.

Nigeria became the ninth partner country of BRICS in January 2025, joining Belarus, Bolivia, Cuba, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Thailand, Uganda, and Uzbekistan. The 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan in October 2024 created the partner-country category.

President Tinubu said, "Nigeria, therefore, associates with what I have heard today and all that has happened in BRICS. The next issues are financial restructuring and reevaluation of the global structure."

He noted that environmental degradation, climate crisis, and global healthcare inequalities were shared concerns pertinent to Africa.

"Africa has contributed the least to global emissions but suffers the most," he added.

President Tinubu emphasised the need for a new path of justice, anchored in fairness, sustainable technology transfer, and accessible financing, so that emerging economies can fully benefit from various initiatives.

"The African continent is creating the path through the African Carbon Market Initiative and the Great Green Wall. We believe that COP-30 will strengthen our resolve to adopt a strategic approach to achieving a healthy global environment.

"Nigeria strongly believes in South-South cooperation. We can, therefore, not be passive participants in global decision-making on financial restructuring, debt forgiveness, climate change, environmental issues, and healthcare.

"We must be the architects of a future that addresses the specific needs and concerns of youths, who represent 70 per cent of our population in Nigeria. Therefore, Nigeria remains guided by our long-term vision, 2050, and nationally determined contribution.

"We are taking bold steps to accelerate renewable energy adoption, mainstream climate action, promote nature-based solutions, strengthen urban resilience, champion South-South cooperation, align with the global renewal framework and achieve universal health coverage for all," the President stated.

President Tinubu also said that addressing non-communicable diseases must remain a collective health concern.

"As we approach COP-30 and look to strengthen the global health system, we believe the BRICS must not only be a bloc for emerging economies but also a beacon for emerging solutions and resolutions rooted in solidarity, self-reliance, sustainability, and shared prosperity of a common future.

"Nigeria reaffirms its commitment to strategic collaboration that translates into sustainable and inclusive development for all," he noted.

Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mr Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance, accompanied the President to the summit.

In exercising its pro tempore presidency of BRICS, the Brazilian government announced Nigeria's formal admission as a partner country on January 17, 2025.

As the world's sixth-most populous country and one of Africa's major economies, Nigeria shares convergent interests with other BRICS members.

Nigeria plays an active role in strengthening South-South cooperation and reforming global governance, which are top priorities during Brazil's current presidency.

PRESIDENT TINUBU SIGNS  FOUR TAX BILLS INTO LAW TOMORROW

President Bola Tinubu will, on Thursday, sign into law four groundbreaking tax reform bills that will transform Nigeria’s fiscal and revenue framework.

The four bills, the Nigeria Tax Bill, the Nigeria Tax Administration Bill, the Nigeria Revenue Service (Establishment) Bill, and the Joint Revenue Board (Establishment) Bill, were passed by the National Assembly after extensive consultations with various interest groups and stakeholders.

When the new tax laws become operational, they are expected to significantly transform tax administration in the country, leading to increased revenue generation, improved business environment, and a boost in domestic and foreign investments.

The historic presidential assent to the bills at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, will be witnessed by the Senate President, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Senate Majority Leader, House Majority Leader, chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, and his House counterpart.

The Chairman of the Governors Forum, the Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, the Minister of Finance and Coordination Minister of the Economy, and the Attorney General of the Federation will also attend the ceremony.

One of the four bills is the Nigeria Tax Bill (Ease of Doing Business), which aims to consolidate Nigeria’s fragmented tax laws into a harmonised statute.

By reducing the multiplicity of taxes and eliminating duplication, the bill will enhance the ease of doing business, reduce taxpayer compliance burdens, and create a more predictable fiscal environment.

The second bill, the Nigeria Tax Administration Bill, will establish a uniform legal and operational framework for tax administration across federal, state, and local governments.

The Nigeria Revenue Service (Establishment) Bill, the third bill, repeals the current Federal Inland Revenue Service Act and creates a more autonomous and performance-driven national revenue agency— the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS). It defines the NRS’s expanded mandate, including non-tax revenue collection, and lays out transparency, accountability, and efficiency mechanisms.

The fourth bill is the Joint Revenue Board (Establishment) Bill. It provides for a formal governance structure to facilitate cooperation between revenue authorities at all levels of government. It introduces essential oversight mechanisms, including establishing a Tax Appeal Tribunal and an Office of the Tax Ombudsman.

Help. We’ve been married for almost a year now, and there’s an issue that keeps coming up between us. I honestly don’t know what to do anymore. I need some enlightenment — maybe to better understand him, or to know if I’m just overreacting to the little details.

For context, my husband comes from a family of eight. He’s the only one who’s married so far. Most of his siblings, especially the eldest, are still supporting their parents — not just for their needs, but even for their wants.

When we got married, I believed that open communication would be key to a strong partnership. That’s why I always made an effort to be transparent with him. I told him that “what’s mine is yours,” and I hoped we would apply that both ways — especially when it comes to our finances.

But the problem is, whenever his parents ask for something, I’m always the last to know — or I just happen to read it by accident. At first, I didn’t mind, since we both have stable jobs and we’re earning our own income. But as time passed, I began to feel that these things should be discussed between us. At the very least, I thought I should be informed.

Whenever I try to talk to him about it, he always cuts me off and says, “Para ra man ni sa akong ginikanan” — as if I’m complaining about him giving. But I’m not. I’m not questioning the act of giving. What hurts is that I wasn’t even informed, consulted, or made part of the decision.
