In giving His Son, God showed the highest kind of love (John 3:16). Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13). To lay down your life for someone is love beyond comprehension. Christ’s death gave us more than forgiveness—it gave us the very life and nature of God. When you received Christ, you received the gift of God’s love.
