According to our memory verse for today, faith depends on hope to sustain it's substance unto maturation. Faith hangs on the wings of hope because it is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.

One of your greatest responsibilities is to keep hope alive always because without hope, faith is powerless to deliver. There must be a picture kept perpetually before your eyes on which your faith anchors.

Faith is the future that we hope for in the present. The Bible says, "Now Faith is the substance hoped for," so the substance of faith in the present that we can hold on to is
Hope.

Hope is the true picture of the future, as shown from the scriptures.

We must continue to gaze on the promises of God in the scriptures to keep faith alive.

*Our gaze on the scriptures is the reason for Hope.*

We can only be hopeful if we continue to gaze at what God has told us in His Word.

*Faith starts to sink very fast when we take our eyes off of the word of God.*

I can only think of Peter walking on the water to go to Jesus because the Lord Jesus Christ (the Word) gave him faith to do so by telling him to come over to Him on the water.

The Lord Jesus Christ represents the Word of Hope. Peter's ability to keep his eyes on the Lord Jesus is the exercise of keeping Hope alive for faith to stay sustained. He only began to lose faith and consequently began to sink when he took his gaze off the Lord.

Beloved, where are you today in your walk with God? Are you still walking on the water, or are you already sinking because you are distracted by situations and circumstances around you?

MY COUNSEL
Refocus your eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ today through the word of God.

*Your future hides in the scriptures.*

Keep hope alive always by keeping your gaze on what God has said to you from His word.

HOW I MASTERED LOGARITHMS OF NUMBERS LESS THAN 1

If I tell you how I learned logarithms of numbers less than 1, many of you will surely laugh!

In 2017, I started teaching SS3 students after their teacher left the school. Guess the topic I had to continue with? Logarithms of numbers less than 1, a topic I wasn’t even confident in myself.

That day in class, I kept "forming" knowledge and explaining things I knew were 100% wrong. But the students trusted me and that trust was what saved me that day.

The moment I got home, I began researching like mad. The only helpful video I found was of an old Indian woman explaining the topic very well but in Hindi!

I couldn’t understand her words, so I started rewinding and forwarding the video, then eventually muted it and just watched her hand movements carefully.

After studying her method, I practiced and practiced… and by 2:00 am that night, I had mastered logarithms of numbers less than 1.

Moral of the story: Sometimes, as a teacher, you must be a good student first!
Never stop learning.

SOMETIMES THE PROBLEM IS YOUR MOUTH

We often talk too much, sharing more than we should. We expose our lives, our business, and even the intimate details of our marriages. But in doing so, we risk making ourselves vulnerable to harm. Remember, a person who knows nothing about you can never truly hurt you.

Not every success needs to be shared. Some victories are for you to enjoy in private, without the need for validation or praise from others.

Be mindful of how much you reveal. Not everyone who smiles at you is your friend. People can change, and the friend you trust today might become your adversary tomorrow.

Take Joseph’s story, for example. His dreams could have remained safe if he had kept his mouth shut. He wouldn't have been sold into slavery by his own brothers if he had practiced discretion.

A fish that keeps its mouth closed will never get caught. The same principle applies to our lives. Keep your thoughts, plans, and ambitions to yourself until the time is right.

Share your growth and success with wisdom. Not every coworker is a friend, and not everyone who congratulates you wishes you well. Be careful who you trust, and set healthy boundaries in all areas of your life.

Don't let a lack of wisdom cost you your job or your marriage. Protect your peace, and safeguard your relationships with discretion.

Remember, there’s power in silence, and sometimes saying less can lead to more.
